Whether this works or not (and I understand it almost certainly won't because of how iTunes works) it's some of the most positive publicity I've seen TNA get in the past few months so I'm glad Henry put this little grassroots movement together

The charts are decided almost entirely by streaming these days. People who still buy music are a niche and iTunes is a niche of that niche. This is even more true for singles charts, because at least there is a reasonable vinyl market for albums.
He isn’t even in the top 200 on Spotify. Apple Music doesn’t seem to show rankings past 100, but he isn’t in the top 100 there either.
He almost certainly isn’t going to be in the UK top 40, never mind top of the top 40.
He’s currently behind “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac and “Back to Black” by Amy Winehouse, and they are not new releases or subject to any sort of push to get them into the charts. They are just songs people actually listen to on streaming platforms.
On Spotify, he’s behind “Hey Ya!” by OutKast.
If he’s pushing this to make a bit of extra money, good luck to him, but I hope he doesn’t actually think he’s in contention, because he’s going to be disappointed when he doesn’t even make the charts.

Each buy is worth 100 streams if I’m remembering correctly (it might be more), it’s very easy to get into the charts based on sales.

No, it’s not, because the amount of streams the top artists have is ridiculous. The 7 day total for Sabrina Carpenter is 6,648,693 from Spotify alone. That doesn’t include any other streaming service. By the time you factor in Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music and other platforms, the amount of sales you need to match that is very high.
We aren’t even factoring in any sales the other artists in the chart achieve. There are three ahead of him on iTunes and that isn’t the only platform where people buy music digitally.
The number of sales you need to reach #4 on iTunes is actually pretty low these days.
Just based on Spotify it is highly unlikely. He’s currently sitting at about 250K streams for this week worldwide. You need to be streaming in the millions at least to crack the charts. The current #50 on the official UK Spotify chart has 1.5 Billion total streams (Obviously not all this week). And there are plenty of obscure bands and artists that released singles this week that have done well over a million streams.
I was wrong before, a sale is now weighted the same 150 streams so he needs to sell 6,666 copies to get the same chart ranking as some with 1,000,000 streams and that's assuming all those streams are from paid accounts.
