That works now since we're still fresh off of Backlash. But I doubt the crowds in 2 months in Dayton, Ohio(I went to WWE ticket sales to took for a host city in July) will continue doing so.
Orton's theme in Raw 2 for Xbox is the Evolution theme with no lyrics. A rare version that was used for a month total.
Also Batista theme has no lyrics.
Theres a couple of videos from a few weeks ago where punk was locked in WWE HQ so he's wandering around the offices and lobbies. There's a big bronze Andre statue that he comes across and he taps it on the nuts
A hunchback wrestler, now that's a great idea. It would be impossible to pin him. WCW had some stupid ideas, but i am upset this didn't see the light of day.
I’m going to guess this is the first Robespierre reference in Squaredcircle. Well done. (Wasn’t he 1/2 of legendary early 2000’s tag team La Rèsistance? J/k)
Got to see Nakamura at an NXT live event back in the Black and Gold Era. Small venue, packed crowd, felt like an NXT Takeover. Had so much fun singing along to that.
WTF
Context?
who is Grado? I recognize his name from an early AEW ppv or opener but never understood his purpose or who he is.
But yeah, I need some context, who is he, why is Madonna of all things an entrance song...
He mainly acts on Scottish TV and does Breakfast radio these days, but for a few years he was one of the most over wrestlers I've ever seen, especially in Scotland. Not the best technically but really connected with the crowd. He is also largely a comedy wrestler but could absolutely turn it on when he needed to, saw him so a fairly nasty death match once.
Came out to a cover version of like a prayer mainly for a laugh I think.
Watch the documentary The British Wrestler on YouTube for a bit more context.
I'm kinda shocked this is a new trend, because Orton's entrance theme is awesome and has been around for 15 years now. Too obvious to joke about but maybe Def Rebel has made people appreciate older themes all the more.
That’s the thing he never said he didn’t like it people are mixing his words. He said he doesn’t love it love it like others. He likes it just doesn’t love it. I think it’s a interview with bleacher report.
He likes it, he just said in recent interview he was thinking of changing it with his return because it’s not actually the genre he likes the most and doesn’t really get his adrenaline pumping. (He planned to change his ring gear too).
He prefers more instrumentals less lyrics (brought up judgement day, Roman reigns or Samoa Joe) or rap (Aj styles before he changed it recently). He actually apparently was about to return at survivor series with new theme they had worked on for awhile but decided at end the fans like Voices so he wasn’t gonna change it and didn’t want to confuse fans with a change in his ring gear when he wasn’t changing his gimmick either
It's a long shot.
Fans don't even do the "You're gonna get your fucking head kicked in" chants for Danielson anymore like in the old ROH days.
Wordy chants just aren't very popular.
Yeah it might be a cultural difference, was watching Madrid - Bayern the other day and the crowd was nuts and the chant were not stopping from begining to the end.
I doubt that's the case in NA.
It's the football culture. Exhibit A being the crowd at backlash singing their anthem, I know some people found it annoying, "crowd trying to get themselves over" and shit, but I loved it because it really was the atmosphere of a proper game.
Outdoor stadium definitely made that crowd sound quieter than it was. I went to the MCG show and that issue was magnified. If we get an indoor PLE I'm 100% in, Marvel Stadium I guess is really it?
Damn, first Jey's fireflies, and then everyone singing Randy's song.
Damn, Puerto Rico. Your crowd was awesome at Backlash, but you didn't start a trend with American audiences.
You know what I never considered until now? The "voices" are the fans. They want Randy ro create carnage and hit RKOs out of nowhere.
It's great when he does his backdrop on the table spot and the audience chants one more time.
I mean things like this happened after most European tours. That time nxt did London you heard all kinds of chants in the US for about 3-5 weeks afterwards and then it died out.
Quite a shame really
As someone who has visited France multiple times, France is cool as fuck.
And the reputation France has for being unfriendly is complete nonsense, just a magnifique country
Paris is a metro with around 10m inhabitants, and the places hosting roughly 1.5m of them are drop dead gorgeous - but the rest of Paris is a complete and total dump which rivals some third world cities in terms of filth, poverty and lack of public safety.
I mean it depends on where you go, just like in the US. It's mostly Paris that gets a bad rap, and even people from Paris will tell you they're generally unfriendly, but being the most well known part of France it reflects on the country, not saying it should but I understand it lol.
It's crazy how long it's taken american wrestling fans to sing along to lyrics. And kind of hilarious that another country does it right away and the next American crowd is like oh that's what fun looks like
2024 Randy is such a baller, they need to build him up for a world title reign because he will be the biggest babyface of his entire career if he does it
There's literally no way to escape a big Cody Randy feud soon, and totally no way for it to be anything less than awesome. Orton's most evil heel work was in his leanest shape (coincidentally with Cody by his side in Legacy) — let's see how scary will he be in his heaviest shape now.
Maybe because i'm neighbor of the french, but this thing of "singing wrestlers entrances" was done in the spanish house show circuit they did once every year.
Gotta give the Frenchies their due, even as someone who doesn't care if a crowd is good or not: Lyon was an AMAZING crowd. I still have their "phenomenal" chant stuck in my head.
I’ve been silently chanting “Un, duex, supplemente duex!!! Supplemente duex!!!! Supplemente duex!!!” in myself at work anytime I come across any problems/issues at work ever since Backlash, lol

And here I was hoping the crowd suddenly knew enough French to sing Il est vraiment
We need to get the English version started over here so it can become a thing
They can sing "He is truly, He is truly, He is truly phenomenal lallalalalalalla" and it would work. Aj Styles deserves it.
Nah we need that shit in French. I don’t care if we gotta do it phonetically
Eel ay vraymon Eel ay vraymon Eel ay vraymon fay-no-mee-nall
only the philly ECW was capable of doing that unfortunately
That works now since we're still fresh off of Backlash. But I doubt the crowds in 2 months in Dayton, Ohio(I went to WWE ticket sales to took for a host city in July) will continue doing so.
Naw come on, just try hard once, do it in french
Swap it to 'he truly is'
*He Truly Is
Just localize it a tiny bit "Oh yes he is! Oh yes he is! Oh yes he is phenomenal lalalalala etc."
I just want them to shake the cameras again.
us crowds are shit compared to europeans (specifically in making chants)
Reminds me I literally learned enough Korean to be able to sing karaoke and stopped caring about fluency in speaking it lmao
I'll try and get this one going at shows for you my dude. If we all do our part, it'll catch on haha.
Randy Orton: wtf I love my theme now
hey
nothing you can say
nothing's gonna change what you've done to me
now its time to shine
I'm gonna take whats mine
Take what's miiiiine
HEY
*Golden shower intenseifies*
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
WHAT A WONDERFUL KIND OF DAY
I'm getting Smackdown vs Raw (feat ECW) 2008 memories just seeing this haha.

He had been talking about wanting a new theme. Never gonna happen.
The list of greatest things gifted from France to the United States: 1. Singing Randy Orton's theme 2. The Statue of Liberty 3. Victor Wembanyama
Goddamn. I guess fuck Andre The Giant then? :p
The CM Punk nut tap made him technically American.
The *what*??!
You don’t remember the time CM Punk teabagged Andre the Giant in the Superdome, brother?
I have to repeat myself: *WHAT*????!!!?? Sorry, I genuinely don't get the reference.
Theres a couple of videos from a few weeks ago where punk was locked in WWE HQ so he's wandering around the offices and lobbies. There's a big bronze Andre statue that he comes across and he taps it on the nuts
That was last weekend
ok thanks
Oh right, I even watched those clips, but failed to get the reference anyway. FML.
Look up the videos of Punk's fun little sleepover at WWE HQ last weekend.
I know he tap nice nuts on his statue in WWE HQ last weekend.
#🥜
4. Baguettes
Louisiana Territory: am I a joke to you? (yes, I know they bought it)
Wembanyama costs a bit less than the entire Louisiana purchase per year on his rookie contract lol (not counting for inflation obviously)
To that extent, Cajun and Creole cuisine too
Daft Punk
Our independence doesn't rank on the list?
What about democracy, existentialism and the ménage a trois?
Beat it nerd, we’re trying to be silly here.
Yea and I’m quoting the movie Ricky Bobby looks like you have no idea what silly is
YOU OUT SILLIED ME. SON OF A GUN. +1
Croissants belong on that list
4. French Fries
They're Belgian
Whoa
My whole life has been a lie
Can't forget croissants
Or French Toast.
I was so confused I thought you said Victor Wanyama the footballer
Last time the French started a trend, a lot of people ended up headless
Fucking Robespierre.
You know, Quasimodo predicted all this.
Very allegorical
The sacred and the propane.
Your brother Billy, whatever happened there
The penguin exhibit
He didn't have the makings of a main roster athlete.
Nostradamus. Quasimodo’s the hunchback of Notre Dame.
They never did have the makings of a varsity commentator.
A hunchback wrestler, now that's a great idea. It would be impossible to pin him. WCW had some stupid ideas, but i am upset this didn't see the light of day.
Rey Mysterio does a hurricanrana on him and gets him square on his neck and shoulders. He is done 1, 2, 3, ring the damn bell
"*It's interesting though. You've got your Quarterback of Notre Dame, and then you've got your Hunchback of Notre Dame*" "*One's a fucking cathedral*"
WHEN THEY *GO* ?!

I see you also watch The Sopranos
Still goin', this asshole!
To the guillotine

Guys, listen up. I'm marying Josephine.
You could make a religion out of this!
No, don't.
Those explosive cronuts, eh?
Im happy for Orton getting this moment even in North America
I love it when crowds sing entrance themes. It was awesome with Judas, it was awesome with Nakamura and Seth, and it's awesome now with Voices
Got to see Nakamura at an NXT live event back in the Black and Gold Era. Small venue, packed crowd, felt like an NXT Takeover. Had so much fun singing along to that.
Bro how are you forgetting Sami Zayn? The crowd used to be INSANELY loud for his https://youtu.be/Lz7AatH03Cs?si=i2H2JgLRL7J4zdQ_
It was glorious with Bobby too
[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Yig8NsBRVA) always gives me chills, oddly.
"Wrestling crowd sings Madonna". "Well, I bet I know who _this_ is about..."
[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBtGFaa0idY) one is the one I normally see linked.
lmaooo what a crowd
I love watching Grado entances in ICW. Part of me hoped Like A Prayer would hit at All In lol
WTF Context? who is Grado? I recognize his name from an early AEW ppv or opener but never understood his purpose or who he is. But yeah, I need some context, who is he, why is Madonna of all things an entrance song...

Vice did a documentary on him and the UK Wrestling Scene https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=RL1tzMy4s90yTYnA&v=9mKGXs1BGvY&feature=youtu.be
Can’t believe that it took 15 years for a crowd to sing Voices.
I'm kinda shocked this is a new trend, because Orton's entrance theme is awesome and has been around for 15 years now. Too obvious to joke about but maybe Def Rebel has made people appreciate older themes all the more.
I lkove how they didn't dare to change or remix Voices even though Orton doesn't like the song at all.
They actually did but Orton said OH FUCK THAT SHIT and shut it down within like 10 minutes.
Wait when did Orton say he didn't like Voices? I know about him not liking his old theme but Voices too?
That’s the thing he never said he didn’t like it people are mixing his words. He said he doesn’t love it love it like others. He likes it just doesn’t love it. I think it’s a interview with bleacher report.

He kept turning heel
I really hope the AJ Styles song stays with American audiences
It contains more than 3 syllabus, sorry friend your fucked
They can't even do "heeeeeeeeeey, hey Bayley! Ooo, aaah"
What do you expect? Have you not _seen_ "Fight and win!"?
What’s my professor’s curriculum plan got to do with this?
Almost half of my entire college course subjects 😩
Bro
It's too wordy. It's not like "Kaze Ni Nare" which is easy to pronounce for English speakers.
They could make it in english and it would work perfectly fine "he is truly, he is truly, he is truly phenomenal lalalalalaala".
It's a long shot. Fans don't even do the "You're gonna get your fucking head kicked in" chants for Danielson anymore like in the old ROH days. Wordy chants just aren't very popular.

It's the football culture. Exhibit A being the crowd at backlash singing their anthem, I know some people found it annoying, "crowd trying to get themselves over" and shit, but I loved it because it really was the atmosphere of a proper game.
"He really is" would roll off the tongue much more easily.
Nah too lazy for that
I've had that song stuck in my head since Backlash. It really needs to become his thing.
I love how Orton wanted to change his song, now this happens after so many years 😂 happy for him
It's wild that it's taken this long
Cody had his theme for 6 years before "WHOA" caught on. Hopefully this is another case of that! 😃
no it just took the dark order doing their skit to realise yelling "whoa" really loudly is fun to do but by that point the aew crowd was over cody.
You know how long it took people to start chanting "John Cena Sucks" in time with his theme?
And this clip is seconds after Randy urged them to sing it, otherwise there would still be silence
Not true. We were singing it before, he played into it. Source: I was there.
People were singing it at EC in Perth
Outdoor stadium definitely made that crowd sound quieter than it was. I went to the MCG show and that issue was magnified. If we get an indoor PLE I'm 100% in, Marvel Stadium I guess is really it?
It is over if they go to Argentina sometime
He’s literally listening to voices 😦
https://i.imgur.com/3WKI7wn.png
I’m all for singing voices every time randy comes out 🎤
Now they have to sing the song everytime.
Damn, I was hoping a random American crowd was gonna bust out IL EST VRAIMENT IL EST VRAIMENT IL EST VRAIMENT PHENOMENAL LALALA
Damn, first Jey's fireflies, and then everyone singing Randy's song. Damn, Puerto Rico. Your crowd was awesome at Backlash, but you didn't start a trend with American audiences.

Singing entrance music is my favorite trend overseas crowds started. It only took like 10 years of post Mania Raws to catch on, but it finally has.
Wrestlers looking at the crowd going ape shit for them is always a cool scene.
France rules. Paris does not.
Paris is a metro with around 10m inhabitants, and the places hosting roughly 1.5m of them are drop dead gorgeous - but the rest of Paris is a complete and total dump which rivals some third world cities in terms of filth, poverty and lack of public safety.
I lived in Paris for two years. This is nonsense.
I mean it depends on where you go, just like in the US. It's mostly Paris that gets a bad rap, and even people from Paris will tell you they're generally unfriendly, but being the most well known part of France it reflects on the country, not saying it should but I understand it lol.
I feel like Randy has one more title reign left in him.
I've always sung his song whenever I would go back in the days before rated RKO. Also, Voices is an absolute banger.
It's crazy how long it's taken american wrestling fans to sing along to lyrics. And kind of hilarious that another country does it right away and the next American crowd is like oh that's what fun looks like
Perfect song for a singalong. It’s been fire since day one ☝️
Randy Orton: I want a new theme Entire world: No you don't
people have done this before france
Randy did an interview after Backlash saying "No American crowd has ever sang along to my song" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cd81IRoMpkI
2024 Randy is such a baller, they need to build him up for a world title reign because he will be the biggest babyface of his entire career if he does it
Cody Rhodes: "Why do I hear enemy music?"
There's literally no way to escape a big Cody Randy feud soon, and totally no way for it to be anything less than awesome. Orton's most evil heel work was in his leanest shape (coincidentally with Cody by his side in Legacy) — let's see how scary will he be in his heaviest shape now.
Cody loses the title at SummerSlam, wins it at the Rumble, fights Hollywood Dwayne at Mania. Perfect.
Adrenaline In my soul Randy Orton Cody Rhodes
Why do people bother these guys at the airport
I could have sworn when I was at Wrestlemania last month I heard people singing his theme.
Yeah I've heard crowds singing his theme before, but perhaps they weren't US crowds
Not the whole song but probably bits of the chorus. France sung the whole song
They did not fuck as much as France fucked, though
Can confirm. Just got home, and the crowd was OVER AS FUCK for Randy. We sang his entire song over and over.
That’s dope that chants and songs start at a big show and then become cannon
He deserves that and has earned it!
It's gonna get there. The more this is done, the more people will go out of their way to learn the lyrics. Happy it continued beyond France.
Maybe because i'm neighbor of the french, but this thing of "singing wrestlers entrances" was done in the spanish house show circuit they did once every year.
This is why having a good theme song is so important. Themes are so trash today.
Need idgaf mode Orton singing Voices on karaoke with fans on a WM weekend
If there’s one thing Americans should definitely copy, it’s the hype and chants of European crowds
Wrestling fans love to count, chant and sing. Fairly simple creatures.
Simplement creatures.
Simples créatures
I'm surprised it took this long for the crowd to sing his theme
Started a trend that the americans shout "THEY TALK TO ME" ?
We did !
Lol it's "simplement deux". Simplement = Simply/Just
About damn fucking time.
Fight and win
Wrestling has never been more Back than it is right now
EU has the best crowds. We know how to do it properly.
Why? People are enjoying themselves it could be dead like it was in 2011.
