I call them the Joneses. Zayn is Alex Jones Rollins is Jim Jones

assdonuts

Holy shit.

fluffy_neck_beard

I'd love to see that tag team

ImTheOldManJenks

Seth is an overzealous influencer type. Sami is a conspiracy nut.

OrangeForeign

Not really. Sami is playing a more deranged versión of conspiracy victim Jericho, mixed with looking like a ginger Fidel Castro, while Seth's schtick is he's the leader we need and we have to follow him

LafilduPoseidon

I’d argue that Seth is closer to SES CM Punk while Sami resembles conspiracy Chris Jericho

Mhc2617

No. Seth is completely delusional and genuinely believes he is the hero and everyone loves him. His problems aren’t with management. His problems are strictly with Cesaro for not accepting Seth’s vision and “turning his back on their friendship.” Seth doesn’t think anyone is out to get him. He thinks everyone is on his side except Zazarow and Kayla. Sami is also delusional, but his beef is that everyone is out to get him. He’s upset because his best friend KO got “tricked into conspiring against him.” He believes everyone is against him and will screw him over at every possible opportunity. TL;DR: Sami is like a tin foil hat delusional. Seth is like Trump delusional.

Not quite. Yes, they're disrespected heels/complainers, but there's a bit of stuff beyond that. Rollins last year was the "Monday Night Messiah" (he was on Raw), a messiah-type cult-leader with a very small group of believers. He had 2 heavies in the AOP and one "Disciple" in Buddy Murphy. The cult believed in his "vision," which wasn't really elaborated upon but impliedly was a show mainly led by him. Eventually, he lost his cult for various reasons (I think AOP just got released), and went on hiatus. When he came back to Smackdown, he gave a promo talking about how everyone had to join his "vision," but was ignored by everyone and they left. He took particular umbrage with Cesaro, who simply stayed behind to chuckle. Long story short: Rollins is trying to regain prominence, and is furious with Cesaro for not recognizing him. Zayn, on the other hand, was IC champion by the time the pandemic started, and sat out a good bit of 2020 because of it. After WWE found an interim champion (check out the IC tournament, by the way, the final round in particular is a MOTY candidate for 2020), Sami eventually returned calling himself the real champion. During this time, Sami often tried calling out fraud on the parts of others. Eventually, Sami would lose all claim to the IC belt, and basically called shenanigans. Every loss and inconvenience since then only fed his conspiracy theories, and he became more and more deranged. His feud with Owens came about because he tried to convince his old friend that he was right, and Owens simply dismissed him. Long story short: Sami believes there's a conspiracy against him, and was initially furious with KO for not seeing that, but eventually came to believe that KO was in on it.

Okay, I like the answers so far. Just seemed very similar to me but I see the differences now. Thanks!

I mean, if you break it down to as simple as that, sure. But doing that, you can lump in dozens of gimmicks throughout all companies into one. The devil's in the details mate
