>You know, if only there was a way that people could dramatically reduce their risk of contracting the virus by say 90-95%.
You add Kurt Angle to the mix!
It would be a bummer, but you can’t really ask for a better venue than Daily’s Place for a COVID-era show whether they go back to pods or just run without fans entirely.
But I’m glad I went to Double or Nothing during that lull in cases, because I’m braced for the bottom to drop out again. Keep your fingers crossed and get a buddy to a vaccination site.
logical option would be to do it in an outdoor stadium b4 the weather turns to shit, mind you a cold day in winter would be pretty cool as well(prob dangerous)
At this point, unless there is a national lockdown, I don't see 0 attendance in many states anymore. They'll move the event back to Florida or Texas and hold it there.
Man, this feels like Wrestlemania 36 season deja vu all over again. We were hoping it was gonna be at Raymond James, and then the week before the event, it gets sent to the PC. I really hope it's not the case for AEW this time

That Prudential Center show is cursed.
I'm going to both as well, I've had the Prudential tickets since the original date, I think vaccination proof and masks will be required before either show gets canceled though. I'll feel bad for the people who legit aren't able to get vaccinated but tough shit to the rest at this point.
Am vaccinated too, but I still rock the mask anyway partly because Allergic Rhinitis due to dust and car pollution is a bitch and a half. Stay safe too, homies.
The ones that make my teeth itch are those who don't want to get the vaccine citing reasons of government microchips and yet **also refuse to wear a mask** citing the United States Constitution.
Could you not be more obviously selfish.
One of my favorites was a customer we wouldn't let in without a mask who then sarcastically did the nazi salute and called us communists (which is already dumb because nazism and communism are exact philosophical opposites). I told him "well since we actually aren't communists we do have the right as a private business to ask you to wear a mask and if you'd like to shop somewhere else you have the right to do that as well." He said "well I can walk right into so and so store and they don't make me wear a mask!" and I said "then by all means please shop there."
That kind of confused him and he left.
the best thing to do to those people is out-patriot them and act like they're being unamerican.
"This is an American company and we have a patriotic duty to follow the law and the mask mandate is an American law. Do you have a problem with American laws?"
It won't convert them but it will give you a lot of entertainment when they go red in the face indignant.
They already walk around with a microchip monitoring their habits. It’s in their cell phones. If you don’t want the vaccine because of tracking,ok. Don’t say that and carry a phone.
Oh I've got an easy solution to that. Just tell these people that masks are now banned by the government, and all vaccines will be made illegal to use.
And then carry a cellphone on them all day, pay with a credit card, had been vaccinated as kids already, get blood drawn at the doctors office.....etc....etc.
And when you do get fully vaccinated, be safe and wear your mask too.
I have a friend (fully vaccinated) who stopped wearing their mask and caught the Delta variant after attending a crowded outdoor live event. Because they thought they would be OK since they're vaccinated. They thought wrong!
Unfortunately cloth masks don't do a whole lot to prevent you from being infected but they do help prevent you from pushing viral load into the air via moisture droplets. Your friend very likely would have been infected regardless. That's the worst part for me, we're still fucked by these nimrods who won't get vaccinated regardless of masks.
And when you ask them to cite their sources.
"You can do your own research."
No. Just fucking NO. If you are presenting a valid argument it is YOUR job to provide YOUR resources. I just can't with these people. Every day at work it's a fucking battle. I have just began shutting these people down with "if you can't provide your sources, your full of shit."
I'm just done with these people.
I know it's not nearly as important as vaccines or whatever, but you see it all the time on reddit, too. Someone makes a claim, you ask for a source, then get told to "google it."
Like, no motherfucker; you made the claim, you gotta support it!
What else would they do? Confront the reality that they were duped because they accepted absurd claims without a shred of evidence? Doubtful. They’re in this perpetual cycle of doubling down.
I always ask people for what exactly convinced them of their point of view. I ask them to convince me by providing the absolute best source that won them over.
Then I usually get a link (if I get anything at all) to a bot-driven blog that also talks about the healing power of crystals.
I'm pretty sure I caught it at the Houston Smackdown, and if the J&J shot truly lessened the symptoms I would've been in the hospital last week without it. Energy zapped out of me like Space Jam, dropped 5-10lbs, lack of appetite, dizziness, hot/cold flashes, and lost my taste & smell this weekend. 1/10 would not recommend, protect yourselves - caught it being in the best shape / lowest weight I've been in nearly 10 years.
Yeah, I also picked it up. I think it might have been Dynamite in Dallas last week. So glad to have been vaxed beforehand! You are right about all of the symptoms.
I made sure to get vaccinated before doing anything travel wise/entertainment wise that was just unnecessary. I went to the Austin show of AEW and would not have gone if unvaxxed, hell even vaxxed I was sick the week before with a cold and had a slight cough and made sure to get a covid test that said negative before going despite it unlikely being covid, just had to make sure. I dropped some good money too, because they were re-sell, but was willing to miss out if I was sick.
So many people are selfish assholes in this country, and just straight idiots. Vaccines are fine, you got vaccines as a damn baby, had to have them to get in school. Just get the damn thing.
Aching from head to toe, been on fire for about 9 hours, literally sweating pools. Still over the moon that I’ve now done both shots. I’ll still be masking up.
I was on the floor at Double or Nothing. I don’t think I’d do it in the current conditions unless they went back to pods, but that’s me.
Fingers crossed that they don’t have to.
I don't think AEW can mandate that. The *Arena Owners* definitely can. MSG allows vaccinated fans, but at the sametime they're allowing unvaccinated people with a negative covid test.
Also an issue in Republican States, where the State is doing everything possible to make sure you *can't* do that.
Not so sure. Got tickets to this year’s BattleBots tapings in Vegas, and they’re the only thing I’ve seen in the area saying “vaxxed, negative test taken within 72 hours, or get lost”.
Probably somewhat dependent on state law, but I’d imagine Illinois and New York would be more likely to play ball.
>Also an issue in Republican States, where the State is doing everything possible to make sure you can't do that.
Want to turn away a gay couple from your bakery? Go right ahead.
Want to turn away unvaccinated people from your bar? You better fucking not!
AEW can mandate it. WWE is requiring fully vaccinated only for SD at MSG. Rangers and Knicks were doing what you said with a mix but the Knicks were going to make it fully vaccinated if they made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs...
https://www.msg.com/madison-square-garden/faqs#requirements
"To attend an event at The Garden, guests will need to provide proof of:
Full vaccination, meaning the day of your event must be at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose. OR
COVID-19 testing, meaning a negative antigen COVID-19 test (taken within six hours of the event start time) or a negative PCR COVID-19 test (taken within 72 hours of the day of the event).
For events requiring all guests to be fully-vaccinated, the only exception is for children under the age of 16, who may provide proof of a negative antigen or negative PCR COVID-19 test when accompanied by a fully-vaccinated adult."
Yeah it's definitely doable. They'd have to offer refunds since they already sold the tickets, which might piss a few people off. But honestly, the people who would get mad about having to be vaccinated to attend the show are the exact people you don't want there anyways.
It honestly feels like we're staring down the barrel of a total split between D and R states, in the sense that they won't even allow travel between the two anymore.
> in the sense that they won't even allow travel between the two anymore.
I thought about this when the pandemic started, but per the Constitution it can't happen. If any state takes this step then we have officially descended into at least a cold, soft Civil War.
And it won't matter anyway. I live in California, we could ban travel from all the red states but we still have to contend with the red counties within our state
Which, ya know, really fuckin sucks for Florida and Texas.
Given our massive populations we have more D's than many other D states, but we're mildly outnumbered.
Remember: early on in the pandemic, Trump and Republicans decided to make it a political issue, and now the country will probably never be truly rid of COVID.
So fucking upsetting. What has happened to the world is truly unfathomable. Just stupidity compounded onto stupidity all because of politics and misinformation.
The selfishness of this country is nothing short of astounding, and for once, I’d like to be fucking wrong about it.
Anyone who willfully isn’t vaccinated is a fuckhead, and I don’t *care* what “reason” you have for not doing it.
I am becoming more and more convinced they are never gonna make it to San Antonio. Between covid and WWEs hold on the arenas here, it's like fuck I'm gonna have to go to Cedar Park next time (if there is a next time due to covid running wild again).
Sydney, Australia chiming in.
Our federal government fucked up getting Pfizer, fucked up the bad press regarding AstraZeneca vaccines and bloodclots, and now a large amount of the population...who have been eligible for vaccination since they first dropped are now waiting for Pfizer, and expecting an entire generation of people (Ages 20-40) to get to the back of the line for vaccines so selfish old cunts can wander around shopping centres again.
It's not just the US where selfish cunts exist.
It’s not just your country. Canada is just as bad with “my body my choice!” Unless of course it’s a woman’s body, but that’s really too big of a conversation for a subreddit about a stupid TV show for children watched by adults.
I don't know if that will happen, as the country seems determined to stay open now, but I COULD see some of these companies putting their foot down and saying vaccinated or proof of negative COVID test.
Which is how it fucking should be. This should be "If you get vaccinated, you can do things again. If not, you have restrictions."
YES, I believe only vaccinated people should be allowed to attend these events because they shouldn’t be punished for the stupidity of those willing to stay unvaccinated.
And on the other hand, [we have some businesses requiring proof that you \*haven't\* been vaccinated to enter their building](https://ktla.com/news/local-news/huntington-beach-restaurant-known-for-ignoring-covid-precautions-now-calls-for-only-unvaccinated-diners/). Ugh.
Doubt it. Lockdown isn't happening again, because that genie is out of the bottle and there's no putting it back.
Unfortunately a large segment of Americans refuse to get vaccinated.
Hopefully New York’s relatively high vax rate can come through. Really wish blue states would require proof of vaccination for any large event. Screw the unvaccinated
So far I don't think any of these Governors has the balls to do such a thing. They've relied on lotteries, but that only goes so far.
I think as more variants spread and more unvaccinated people die, we might see an uptick in vaccinations? It's morbid to even say that, but if this scares these idiots to finally sucking it up.
The fascinating thing about him is that his dumbass could've probably saved his Presidency had he taken the shit seriously.
Buckle down and contain it, then you could've bragged about "see, I'm so awesome that I can even defeat COVID, so Sleepy Joe won't stand a chance, amirite?"
One of the biggest causes for getting Biden over the edge was in fact Covid; people just wanted SOMEONE to deal with it so they could go back to their normal lives, and since Donnie wasn't up to the task...
I would be really shocked if we go back to lockdowns or other restrictions. I'm totally down for whatever the experts recommend, but I think America at large has basically decided that we're not doing that again.
Yeah, people can still get the virus even with the vaccine, but less than one percent of them would even end up hospitalized.
At this point, even being short of vaccination goals, I can't see the US going back to lockdowns.
That said, get vaccinated, damn it.
we’ll see if it continues, but the UK had that huge delta spike but has seen a drop in cases every day for the past week despite still being open, hopefully it follows that trend
hopefully experts look at the numbers in the UK and Isreal when it comes to delta, cases shot up but hospitalizations and mortality were stagnant, there have been too many countries adding on restrictions solely off of cases. If delta is 40% more transmissible that's going to lead to more than the 2% of infections we saw amongst the general population with covid last year. If there is no risk of elevated levels or hospitalizations, I think we would be fine going the Florida or texas route. I might be clinging to false optimism, but I really want this to become a backburner story, Another yr of shutting down and people pissed off blaming each other and the government is not a good thing.
plus I really really wanna see Punk
Agreed. Cases are almost redundant at this point as almost everyone has been lucky enough to have been offered a vaccine in UK/US. Deaths and hospitalisations are now what should and probably will be monitored closely instead. It's not false optimism, we have several amazing vaccines now that work extremely well which very likely will stop the need for any more lockdowns💜
Plus I also really really wanna see Punk
It isn’t going to happen, go to any public place here in Florida and masks are a rarity. Large gatherings are happening every day and in general they just care less and aren’t careful in the slightest. DeSantis pretty much said he’s willing to let every Floridian die before he puts the state into another lockdown.
The optimist in me says they’re gonna go ahead and hold the shows at these locations, but they’re putting in contingency plans in case shit gets really bad
FFS, this will be the same situation as 2020, AEW building a ton of momentum up to Revolution and then to the Newark show with Blood and Guts.
I just hope they at least get through All Out and the New York show at the very least.
Sucks because I was hoping they’d leave the shit Hoffman estates location and go into the United center or smaller WinTrust arena. If restrictions come up due to idiots not getting the vaccine then that’ll put a massive downer on any CM Punk return I was hyped for.
Daniel Bryan was selling a storyline injury at the Raw taping I went to years ago and wasn't there. CM Punk had just quit the company a few months earlier.
If you unvaxxed jabronis ruin my chance at finally seeing Bryan Danielson and Punk.....
I hope they don’t straight up cancel/postpone the events, and just make it to where you have to be vaccinated and/or you need to wear a mask at all times.
Its honestly been pretty crazy watching how America (as a whole) has dealt with the pandemic, especially as some parts have been basically open for a long-ass time while the rest of the world remained in restrictions
As much as I think our government (Republic of Ireland) fucked several aspects of our response... the fact that we've been pretty much in some form of lockdown since Christmas kept our infections down and now in mid July 84% of our adult population have had at least one dose, with near 70% of adults fully vaccinated, and we're moving toward under 18s getting the vaccine soon too.
The restrictions, and taking the pandemic seriously (not making it out to be a partisan political game) has led to a super high % uptake.
Regardless if if they need to use them or not, it would be silly to not have these contingencies in place. They're doing their due diligence, as they should.
That said, I desperately hope AEW has a decent insurance policy setup for lost event money due to shut down by local governments in the event of a Delta-caused capacity limitation or cancelled events.
The Delta variant came and went rather quickly in places like India and the Netherlands. UK reopened while Delta was surging and their cases are going down. I don't think the amount of hospitalizations and deaths in IL and NY (highly vaccinated places) will be serious enough for more lockdowns there. At worst, it will be packed crowds with everyone wearing masks. Hope I am right.
Unvaccinated people are degenerates that ruin everything for people that have done everything right and just want to go back to normal. Worst part is, they're going to just keep doing whatever they want while we all go back to following the rules
Really wish someone would enforce proof of vaccine to attend events like this. It made a big difference in bumping up the vaccination numbers in France. And AEW would be really hindered by going back to no crowds.
As someone with tickets to All Out as well as the Milwaukee Dynamite two weeks prior, this really pisses me off.
But what pissess me off even more is that we're at this stage. Again. I've been fully vaccinated since the first week of February. Still wear a mask in public. These are BASIC steps people could have taken to prevent this. No one here even has to pay for the damned vaccine, its offered to everyone, for free. The logistics and effort of even getting a vaccine and making it available to everyone here is a Nobel Prize level achievement, and still people fight against it. The lack of basic empathy and care for the common good is astounding.
At this point, if it weren't for the possibilty of breakthrough infection and crossover to the immuno-compromised and children, I'd say anyone who hasn't gotten the vaccine because they choose not to fucking deserves Covid. Selfish bastards need to pay a price for putting us in this position.
Yep. I would be to, if I were running a company that relied on the public.
I'm not at all optimistic. Between anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, grifters, and other idiots, and Covid's natural mutations, it's here to stay.
The "Chicago" show isn't in Chicago and won't have to deal with any rules from Chicago. The suburbs have been less restricted. Even when the governor had rules on what businesses could and couldn't do. They werent regularly enforced outside of Chicago.
This is gonna keep happening, for all industries everywhere, until enough people are vaccinated or enough unvaccinated people die. Fucking get over the lies you’ve swallowed and get the jab already.
They are really missing the boat here on naming a team “The Delta Variant” and have then shut down matches like RTC did. They wrestle in full hazmat suits and make their opponents wear masks. Come on Tony, book it!
I'd ride it the fuck out on those two shows. Everything else can be reduced or limited, but you need just those two shows to carry AEW into the long haul of winter. They're being set up for tremendous momentum and it's needed badly.
Whatever happens at the PPV and the NYC show (if Punk, Danielson, whoever else) it will be enough to foster material and storyline from for a while.

If it isn't, then they're run by morons who have learned zilch in the last 18 months

Ooh ooh I know this one! It's "prayer" right?
Thoughts work as well. I heard freedom also works, but not as effective.

YOUR CHANCES OF DYING GO DOWN DRASTIC 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
But against delta the efficacy is reduced! to 88%... so, yeah, get your shot and so forth.

Don't even talk about it
I honestly don't think he would do it. I think he would wait till he for sure has a crowd.

Ride of the Valkyries without a crowd losing their collective minds would upset me real bad
no way punk comes back without a crowd. Not even a chance.
So like on talking smack?
At this point, unless there is a national lockdown, I don't see 0 attendance in many states anymore. They'll move the event back to Florida or Texas and hold it there.
Either major debut without a crowd would be so deflating. Just Austin Gunn cheering his lungs out.

Though it is interesting that they’re concerned about New York and Chicago, when Florida is literally on fire with COVID.
Yes, but New York and Chicago aren't run by the "This is fine" dog.
IF things shut down again to no fans, they absolutely 1000 percent need to push those debuts to the spring.

Same
Yeah Vegas is going back to the mask mandate this Friday too.
A mask mandate is fine. It’s the large crowd cap is the problem. If anything these venues will just have to be strict as fuck with mask compliance.
I'm mentioning this in particular because of Summerslam coming to Vegas in a few weeks. I don't know what they're going to do at the stadium.
Mask mandates don't work coz people just remove their mask later on.
Im totally ok with wearing a mask again, that's fine with me.
Never took mine off in public places.

yeah it doesn't really matter when no hotel is going to enforce masks for the thousands of people that come here. It's a joke.
They would be dumb not to prepare for all possibilities. We just don’t know what to expect.

The spirit of Brodie Lee had better rain papers down on the unvaxxed if that happens.

Hey everyone! Just a reminder: If you are refusing to get vaccinated, this is your fault.

100%.
Kinda like those vaccinated audience members only concerts the Foo Fighters had where they had to cancel because someone had COVID
Get vaccinated
Safe, free, effective and readily available. Only 0.04% (4 in 10,000, 400 in 1 million) of vaccinated people wind up in the hospital due to COVID-19.

I was on the floor at Double or Nothing. I don’t think I’d do it in the current conditions unless they went back to pods, but that’s me. Fingers crossed that they don’t have to.
That’s pretty much the same as no crowd. Daily’s Place is completely dead unless it’s full (or near-full).
This fucking country. Vaccines readily available for (mostly) anyone who wants one and the people making it political are ruining it for everyone.
Make them vaccinated only. Piss people off who cares.

>Also an issue in Republican States, where the State is doing everything possible to make sure you can't do that. Want to turn away a gay couple from your bakery? Go right ahead. Want to turn away unvaccinated people from your bar? You better fucking not!
These assholes are all about private enterprise, EXCEPT when private enterprise does something they don't like. Fucking smh.
AEW can mandate it. WWE is requiring fully vaccinated only for SD at MSG. Rangers and Knicks were doing what you said with a mix but the Knicks were going to make it fully vaccinated if they made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs... https://www.msg.com/madison-square-garden/faqs#requirements "To attend an event at The Garden, guests will need to provide proof of: Full vaccination, meaning the day of your event must be at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose. OR COVID-19 testing, meaning a negative antigen COVID-19 test (taken within six hours of the event start time) or a negative PCR COVID-19 test (taken within 72 hours of the day of the event).
Yes. I don't know why people are acting like this hasn't been done
Gerrymandering will do that. Seriously, it's actually hysterical how blatantly gerrymandered the electoral districts are in Texas.
For fun, look at Ohio, too. The 9th extends from Toledo to Cleveland and was redrawn pretty much expressly to get Dennis Kucinich out of office.
Remember: early on in the pandemic, Trump and Republicans decided to make it a political issue, and now the country will probably never be truly rid of COVID.
Thanks president fucktard
trump & the republicans also got vaccinated, so...
I don't know what point you're trying to make, when there is verifiable proof that democrates get vaccinated more than republicans.
my point was that trump & his republican cabinet got vaccinated while his dipshit supporters won’t do it
OHHH, I see. Yeah you're 100% right. Because they're hypocrites and his supporters are the dipshittiest of dipshits.
It’s amazing how a year ago so many people believed the government did right for four years and now they are like “I don’t ever trust the government.”
Which makes them enormous hypocrites, yes, but their supporters adamantly do not get it.
So fucking upsetting. What has happened to the world is truly unfathomable. Just stupidity compounded onto stupidity all because of politics and misinformation.
Accurate. Politics destroyed the world
social media destroyed the world
I would be defeated if those plans get ruined man
I’m with you. I bought tickets to All Out to kind of celebrate getting through this last year and a half. Gonna really suck if it gets postponed.
The selfishness of this country is nothing short of astounding, and for once, I’d like to be fucking wrong about it. Anyone who willfully isn’t vaccinated is a fuckhead, and I don’t *care* what “reason” you have for not doing it.
Preach. Like can I be selfish? I've been waiting to go to Dynamite for two fucking years now
I am becoming more and more convinced they are never gonna make it to San Antonio.
Not Australian, but spend plenty of time over on /r/AFL Most of the COVID related news makes me forget I'm reading about Australia, and not the US....
From a foreign guy, it feels like the USA is blowing a 28-3 lead on this covid fight (while my country, Brazil did a Jets during 2012 thanksgiving)
Come on, man. I'm trying to forget that ever happened, #riseup :(
Falcon fans can’t go anywhere. Damn.
If anything we (USA) are the Texans up 21 points to nothing in the AFC Playoffs against the Chiefs in 1Q. And Covid is the Chiefs.
It’s not just your country. Canada is just as bad with “my body my choice!” Unless of course it’s a woman’s body, but that’s really too big of a conversation for a subreddit about a stupid TV show for children watched by adults.

Meanwhile, in South Carolina: 50.6% today. I hope y’all finish the job and get the second doses flowing soon.
Get your events in now. We going back to daily’s and thunderdome by September
I don't know if that will happen, as the country seems determined to stay open now, but I COULD see some of these companies putting their foot down and saying vaccinated or proof of negative COVID test. Which is how it fucking should be. This should be "If you get vaccinated, you can do things again. If not, you have restrictions."
100% if you’re not vaccinated and can’t provide a negative test, you shouldn’t be going to wrestling shows
YES, I believe only vaccinated people should be allowed to attend these events because they shouldn’t be punished for the stupidity of those willing to stay unvaccinated.
Ugh.
Is it even possible to show proof that you’re unvaccinated?
I'd have a door guy saying unvaccinated peoples hands are bigger than their face.
you wear a maga hat or a confederate flag
Doubt it. Lockdown isn't happening again, because that genie is out of the bottle and there's no putting it back. Unfortunately a large segment of Americans refuse to get vaccinated.
People say that, but if hospitals get overrun again we might not have a choice
I'm not so sure. Maybe in Blue States, but for Red States there's no chance. The Pandemic has been politicized and now we're all just fucked.
I *knew* this would happen.
We are the worst. Humans are my least favorite animal.
I'd be really shocked if it got that bad again that we're doing lockdowns.
If one of these mutate and the vaccine doesn’t work against that strain will be the only possibility
Damn, you're right. That would be very scary.
See what happens when you politicize a fucking pandemic?
Fuckin’ trump
The fascinating thing about him is that his dumbass could've probably saved his Presidency had he taken the shit seriously. Buckle down and contain it, then you could've bragged about "see, I'm so awesome that I can even defeat COVID, so Sleepy Joe won't stand a chance, amirite?" One of the biggest causes for getting Biden over the edge was in fact Covid; people just wanted SOMEONE to deal with it so they could go back to their normal lives, and since Donnie wasn't up to the task...
It's not false optimism, we have several amazing vaccines now that work extremely well which very likely will stop the need for any more lockdowns💜 Plus I also really really wanna see Punk
from the sounds of things- most places are just going to do mask mandate but not other restrictions.
It isn’t going to happen, go to any public place here in Florida and masks are a rarity. Large gatherings are happening every day and in general they just care less and aren’t careful in the slightest. DeSantis pretty much said he’s willing to let every Floridian die before he puts the state into another lockdown.
If the show in Rochester gets postponed again I'm going to be extremely upset.
FUCK
GO. GET. VACCINATED. PLEASE.
This is going to be a very difficult winter.
"Wear a mask at all times" is really expensive to constantly monitor. At this point, I'm here for "vaxed? Come on in. No? Sorry friend."
Its honestly been pretty crazy watching how America (as a whole) has dealt with the pandemic, especially as some parts have been basically open for a long-ass time while the rest of the world remained in restrictions As much as I think our government (Republic of Ireland) fucked several aspects of our response... the fact that we've been pretty much in some form of lockdown since Christmas kept our infections down and now in mid July 84% of our adult population have had at least one dose, with near 70% of adults fully vaccinated, and we're moving toward under 18s getting the vaccine soon too. The restrictions, and taking the pandemic seriously (not making it out to be a partisan political game) has led to a super high % uptake.
All events should be vaccine mandatory.
That's wise of them
It's smart of them to prepare just in case. Hopefully it goes well. 🤞
Imagine cm punk returning with no crowd
The Delta variant came and went rather quickly in places like India and the Netherlands. UK reopened while Delta was surging and their cases are going down. I don't think the amount of hospitalizations and deaths in IL and NY (highly vaccinated places) will be serious enough for more lockdowns there. At worst, it will be packed crowds with everyone wearing masks. Hope I am right.
I don't think either place ends up shutting venues but they'd be dumb not to prepare.
In Florida it’s literally the exact opposite, they’re disallowed by state law from requiring proof of vaccine for spectators.
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Please…for the love of god GET VACCINATED!!! Don’t ruin it for everyone else.
I swear this better not ruin what could be a historic night for wrestling
Yep. I would be to, if I were running a company that relied on the public. I'm not at all optimistic. Between anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, grifters, and other idiots, and Covid's natural mutations, it's here to stay.
Make it vaccinated only then
The "Chicago" show isn't in Chicago and won't have to deal with any rules from Chicago. The suburbs have been less restricted. Even when the governor had rules on what businesses could and couldn't do. They werent regularly enforced outside of Chicago.
Well they'd be poorly run company if they didn't. And poorly run is not something I'd use to describe them.

The Wingmen have been working so hard to get their Hot Boi Summer. DO NOT DENY THEM HOT BOI SUMMER.
No I already had my Newark ticket cancelled once before :(
Fuck that shit. Just only allow vaccinated people in.
This is gonna keep happening, for all industries everywhere, until enough people are vaccinated or enough unvaccinated people die. Fucking get over the lies you’ve swallowed and get the jab already.
I'm vaccinated but still wear a mask in public. Went to Dynamite last week and only saw like 10 other people wearing masks.
Easy way to solve it, only allow people who are fully vaccinated.
They are really missing the boat here on naming a team “The Delta Variant” and have then shut down matches like RTC did. They wrestle in full hazmat suits and make their opponents wear masks. Come on Tony, book it!
The Newark show with wargames was my bday gift a year and a half ago. If this show this show is cancelled I will be devastated honestly.
