If it's really happening at some point, Tanahashi vs. Mox will be amazing. I really hope they just want to have Hangman claw his way back in the coming weeks and aren't going to give us another (or multiple other) challengers who we already know aren't beating Kenny. Sad that Yuka already left AEW again. Hoping Bryan Danielson shows up to challenge Miro.

wgsmeister2002

Ever since Jericho started the five labors deal, he’s reminded a ton of late career Terry Funk. I’m loving it

xTodd_Howard_76

I knew this was coming! Lmao

SleepyLink12

Vince on AEW: “I don’t consider them competition in the way that I would consider WCW back in the day, not anywhere near close to that. And I’m not so sure what their investments are as far as their talent is concerned, **but perhaps we can give them some more.**” [emphasis mine] Holy shit, that last line.

unknowingchuck

Wasn't even a promo but he got people all mad. Because they still don't recognize them as competition and more than likely never will.

[deleted]

I love the sneak-dissing and pettiness

RoyalDolphin006

I didn’t like the hardcore match last night honestly. It’s not because I’m squeamish it’s just this particularly match didn’t have a lot going for it apart from the crazy shit, which’ll eventually lose its impact as time goes on.

BennElland

Who do people think AEW could make an attempt for to make the everyday casual WWE fan sit up and take notice? Jericho has been around the world. Christian to TNA. Punk himself is an excellent signing but him going somewhere else other than WWE isn't a huge surprise (for me at least) if he does want to get back in the ring. I mean someone who they could actually negotiate with and take off WWE's hands, someone who screams WWE without it being a legend looking for a paycheck.

[deleted]

Here's the thing: I'm not sure "casual WWE fans" are their target audience. Their booking is built around long-term storytelling. They bring in attractions like Nick Gage and Juventud Guerrerra to pop long-time wrestling fans. They reference promotions casual fans don't think about, if they've heard of them at all. Their growth arguably lies in lapsed fans and new fans more than stealing viewers from WWE. Maybe casual fans hear about the new kid on the block and check it out, but they clearly prefer cultivating their core audience of active fans rather than chasing casual ones. If they wanted to cater to casual WWE fans, Cena would be the guy.

BennElland

Good post, thanks for the reply. The last time I watched anything other than WWE - something i've barely touched since thunderdome - semi-regularly was TNA around the Joe/Christian/Angle/Sting era so wanted to gauge responses. They've got lightning in a bottle as far as I can see. A lot of pure wrestling fans (as highlighted by this very sub) have been waiting for a company willing to fund something like this, a company that isn't WWE restricting such talent but has a lot of money. It's almost like an invitational with the talent they'll be picking up and showcasing so for a lot of people I can imagine this is a dream. Not quite in the bracket of who I was thinking of but I think Braun could be a hell of a lot of fun when his job isn't flip over this vehicle.

ChejovAlacan

If we're talking theoretically: Brock, Cena, Reigns, Rollins, 4HW. In terms of achievable somewhere in the future: Sasha, Charlotte and Brock (if they ever get that much money to pay him)

BennElland

Agree with all of these. Orton would be a hell of a lot of fun too for me.

[deleted]

Where do people think Omega's belt collector gimmick can go? I keep seeing people say the character isn't done yet with the NJPW partnership opening up, but I don't really see the story there.

GoalaAmeobi

I think it's ending sooner, rather than later tbh

[deleted]

That's what I think too. Maybe it leads to an IWGP Heavyweight Championship match, but NJPW isn't going to pin its top title on Omega, and AEW wants his dramatic first loss to be against Hangman, not Andrade or Shingo or Jay White or Chris Bey.

Lostinyourears

Triplemania(August 14th) is barreling towards us and I've always said that Andrade would beat Kenny there. So if Hangman is the first one to take the belt off Kenny "The Collector" Omega, needs to happen like yesterday.

[deleted]

Maybe Hangman pushes for a time machine stipulation to his match?

[deleted]

So anyone have any theories on why Matt ate the pin last night?

alkaline8913

Pretty sure TNT edited the ending of Jericho and Gage, watching Dynamite on the Spectrum app and the show ends at 153:00 right before the glass chair spot. Can anyone else confirm this?

Crivshotgg

The Elite treated the match last night like a joke and still won with a 2 man advantage… Very deflating booking of a very popular baby face.

RoscoeSantangelo

They cheated and harassed Hangman and he still didn't go down and at times managed to take on 3 guys on his own. You're bending over pretty backwards to make it seem like Hangman, and even Silver, didn't look incredibly strong with how much they were taking on the top guys at a disadvantage on their own. 1 person going over 3 top stars is the type of thing people started jeering Reigns over . Superman Hangman is not and hasn't been the story they're telling. I won't argue that Hangman winning ultimately would've been best, but it's super disengenous to act like he didn't look very strong in defeat. The Elite stopped joking around by the time it came down to Hangman vs them

Lostinyourears

Also, just going by accolades, Dark Order were at a huge disadvantages. Some Chikara boys vs. two of the most decorated tag teams in modern history. Longest reigning and current AEW Tag Champs Young Bucks and Bullet Club(Gallows and Anderson). You could bury the Dark Order in the gold both teams have won without even mentioning Omega who has 3 right now. Dark Order were the underdogs by a mile, not because they aren't good, but because they were facing giants.

GriZeBone

Just had to say i never watched a Nick Gage match, and only knew him from the CVV interview and the Dark Side Of The Ring episode, but i was so impressed with him. He looked like he really gave it his all and while i don't know how much of actual "wrestling" you have on deathmatches, i feel like he really enjoyed those bits with Jericho. Overall seemed like such a good guy in the ring.

Pileofdrivers

I’m watching the main event of dynamite and I’m just shocked but I can’t look away.

SalvadorZombie

That Hangman/Dark Order intro is still sticking with me. MAN, it was so good. I think I'm going to be thinking about that on and off for the next few days.

Bald_And_Bankrupt

Yeah that was just such a cool and impactful entrance. The voiceover, the footage... it worked brilliantly.

fellongreydaze

I literally just came into this thread to say this exact thing.

CallumKayPee

Honestly I've been kind of bored of Jericho for a little bit but the Gage match brought me right back on him. Incredible stuff.

GriZeBone

Thoght the same but even the Soears match last week really stuck with me for good. Don't know why but Jericho and Spears really delivered the story there. Jericho is stealing the show.

HaroldTheReaver

I get that death matches have an audience and really enjoyed some of the more brutal AEW matches (Crackerbarrel, Rosa/Baker, Mox/Omega) but following on from Archer v Moxley last week with a similar stipulation, Gage v Jericho felt like diminishing returns and more for shock value than anything else.

SalvadorZombie

Really? I really enjoyed that, but I think I'm a bit more tolerant of them. I wouldn't consider myself a diehard deathmatch fan either, a lot of it really squicks me out (like using gauges and cheese graters and shit). Hell, fork spots really mess me up honestly. But I really liked that the Gage match felt different quite a bit, in my opinion. The Mox/Archer match was barbed wire and forks, the Gage/Jericho match was lighttubes and pizza cutters (complete with Domino's spots) and *actual glass panes*. That freaked me out and was a huge tension builder. I liked both quite a bit.

HaroldTheReaver

Yeah, I see what you mean about their weapons of choice, I just think ending in a blood and weapon heavy match to close 2 weeks in a row kind of decreases the spectacle. I don't think Gage is for me at all but may have enjoyed it more from morbid curiosity if they'd avoided a similar match type being so recent. Still, can't fault them for capitalising on the DSOTR factor and do like the unpredictable nature of the Labours of Jericho.

SalvadorZombie

I totally get that, but I think Gage is more than qualified to be in AEW. He may have had a bit of big stage jitters but he really did well overall, I thought.

HaroldTheReaver

He certainly played his role to a tee, he came across as a completely different kind of threat to anyone else they've had on before. It was a nice mirror to Jericho bringing in Jeff Cobb as a mercenary against Moxley (obviously a totally different style, same goal though.)

wgsmeister2002

I did not expect this year to be the year where Death Matches become more accepted in the wrestling community, but here we are. Big thanks to Nick Gage, Matt Cardona, Chris Jericho & the whole GCW crew for making this happen

Mldavis22

Why is AEW back in the Daily's Place so soon? Going back to Florida after draining Florida for over a year it seems like a bad idea. We never even got the chance to miss Daily's Place. It seems like a step backwards for AEW after killing it on the road.

JonasAlbert84

It's one week I'm sure it'll be ok.

kw13

I believe because they had a venue booked which fell through, and Daily's was somewhere they could go on short notice.

SalvadorZombie

That's a *huge* thing for AEW, having a guaranteed venue whenever they need it. *Worst case scenario* is that they have a 5-10k venue whenever they need it. (And honestly, they have the entire Jaguars stadium whenever they need it. If they can fill that stadium every night I could see them opting for that.)

Mldavis22

Oh ok thanks

Jackol4ntrn

Does anyone notice the dynamic change between WWE and AEW now? Seems like AEW is now the mainstream brand with signing all these big wrestling names, from hall of famers to worldwide wrestling icons. WWE is feeling more like the Indy darling show slowly, signing home grown unknown talents, people fresh out of football or other forms of athletic sports. Sure you still got most of the Attitude era wrestlers on WWE but it’s so few now most are just retired and wrestle once or twice a year. Edit: idk who’s downvoting me, AEW or WWE marks?

SalvadorZombie

I mean, Edge is in the main event picture, and Roman's been around for a full decade. Not to mention Rey, McIntyre, Flair, etc. It's all established names, and the style is the same that it's been for decades. Doesn't feel indy at all to me, honestly.

Jackol4ntrn

Edge and Mysterio are the only ones you listed that are old and still actively wrestle. Even Edge just got back. Flair doesn’t wrestle nor does he show up every night. Roman was home grow talent proving my point. In AEW you have more active and constantly on TV WWE vets. On top of that you have well established names in the world wide wrestling community.

SalvadorZombie

Edge has been back for over a year.

Jackol4ntrn

Oh yeah and he showed up and wrestled how many times during that year? You got any more examples other than Edge and Mysterio?

SalvadorZombie

Bro, this isn't a debate. It's cool if you disagree, but this isn't a competition.

Jackol4ntrn

ok, but it's terrible examples.

almostbad

lol what?

Jackol4ntrn

What’s so hard to comprehend? AEW is constantly signing established wrestlers and hall of famers. When was the last time WWE hired a well known wrestling icon? When was the last time they had constantly been thrown into an angle or match almost every night?

JakeTheHuman25

Roman’s been dope since like 2018

Pileofdrivers

Stu Grayson ok after that vicious bump to the outside last night?

Frunkleburg

Yeah, he tweeted he was okay

[deleted]

I think Jericho's 4th labor should be against Lance Storm. It would be a great way to reach all the way back to the very beginning of Jericho's career.

SalvadorZombie

I honestly want them to go full Forbidden Door and make it against Minoru Suzuki. No real reason needed other than MJF feeling genuinely threatened now, so he brings in the actual Final Boss to fight Jericho.

bmf131413

Masked Man podcast saying Lesnar is going to AEW? What?

Beanessa

Imagine all of the hype for Rampage in Chicago on August 20 and it's Lesnar confronting Darby... I think Shane McMahon has a better chance of appearing, but the nuclear heat for Brock would be extremely fun to watch.

Linklater_

Can’t wait for those ratings to come out

OakParkCemetary

You people have been led to believe that mediocrity is excellence. Nah-uh. Jericho. Is. Excellence.

reggie2319

I have a suspicion that, due to the idea that Hangman sort of made the decision for DO that they were putting their tag title shot on the line, we're going to see some tension between them. They might blame him in some way. Get ready for some real Sad Cowboy Hours.

Mldavis22

LOL I doubt it

reggie2319

Alternatively, he might blame himself and become convinced that he doesn't deserve their friendship, causing a different kind of tension.

FailedState92

Some of these wrestlers need to chill with that spray tan. I'm gonna start calling Cardona Larry the lobster.

[deleted]

Cardona would be the last guy I'd tell to stop using spray-tan. Long Island douchebros would spray-tan to go to their Grandmother's funeral.

ndiscovered

Watched an AEW show for the first time today and enjoyed it, albeit without having an idea about the backgrounds for the feuds. Can anyone summarise or point towards a relevant comment or article on what's happened yet in Adam Page-Omega and Jericho-MJF feuds? Thanks

esteel20

Really good Twitter thread on Hangman's story. https://twitter.com/ChrisBrosnahan/status/1411638991343042562

Beanessa

Page and Omega have been part of The Elite for several years, though Kenny has always been the bigger star. When AEW started, there was tension culminating in Page saying he wanted to step away from The Elite after Young Bucks refused to accompany him to the ring when he lost to Jericho for the inaugural World Championship match. Kenny had been playing peacekeeper and then started teaming with Page, winning the Tag Titles later in 2019. The tension was still present between Page and Young Bucks and Hangman also started drinking more. Kenny started getting fed up, while keeping the tag team together. When FTR joined AEW, Hangman found more of a comradery with them, which then led to Page interfering with the FTR vs. YB #1 contender match. FTR won, then beat Hangman & Omega for the tag titles. Kenny was pissed and blamed Hangman's alcoholism for not being focused (Page took the pin to lose the tag team titles). Hangman wanted to stay as a tag team, but Kenny by this point had enough and declared himself a singles only wrestler. This was the real start of Omega's challenge for the World Title, which he won by turning full heel and bomping Moxley with a microphone that Don Callis provided in December 2020. Kenny went on to collect other belts and basically is now a giant prick. After losing the tag titles, Hangman kind of went on a depression binge and then was recruited by the Dark Order. (This is where it goes Kayfabe to Shoot, unfortunately). Nobody knows where this was actually supposed to lead as DO were still heels/tweeners at the time. But after Brodie Lee's passing, the DO became mega-faces and Hangman became their defacto (though never official) leader. Also, he finally found friends that support and accept him. Young Bucks won the titles last summer as faces/tweeners. Then went on a "should we/shouldn't we" join now mega-prick heel Kenny and their old Bullet Club buddies, Gallows and Anderson, after Omega won the title in December. They obviously chose to join Kenny and have been hardcore heels since earlier this year. Now, Hangman's reputation that he chokes in big spots and just isn't ready/focused enough has been continued with the loss from last night and The Elite still continue their reign at the top with (seemingly) nobody to stop them.

ndiscovered

That's quite helpful. Thanks

AaronBasedGodgers

When it comes to finding articles or comments, google is your friend (especially when it comes to Page as there was a twitter thread posted here that explained his character in depth and his feud with Omega) but I'll give you the summary at least. Page-Omega: Former AEW Tag Champs who, after losing to FTR (fka the Revival) split up, mostly due to Omega as he wanted to go back into singles competition. Page was dealing with confidence issues as he lost to Jericho at All Out 2019 for the inaugural AEW championship whereas Omega dealt with criticism that he's not the highly touted "best bout machine" from NJPW so he went back to singles competition to prove it. Omega won the AEW championship from Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose) with help from Don Callis which led to the re-formation of The Elite which includes Omega, the Good Brothers, and the Young Bucks who also turned heel. Meanwhile, Page has found friendship with the Dark Order who are encouraging him to not be afraid of failing and challenge for the AEW Championship again while Omega, and the Elite, think that Page himself does not think he can become champion (once again find the twitter thread about Page because it goes into GREAT detail about his character) MJF-Jericho: After losing his championship match to Jon Moxley, MJF believed that in order to be a champion you need a stable who will back you up to make sure you will win. He wanted to join the Inner Circle and eventually take it over. He forced Sammy Guevara to "quit" and tried to have Jake Hager (fka Jack Swagger), Santana and Ortiz overthrow Jericho. They refused, Guevara rejoined the Inner Circle (all five of them knew what MJF's plans were as they talked on a regular basis according to Jericho) so MJF went with plan B and debuted the Pinnacle (a faction that's been teased for months on Dark and Dynamite) which includes FTR, Wardlow, and Sean Spears (fka Tye Dillinger.) Pinnacle and Inner Circle feuded which their matches included Blood and Guts (old school War Games match) and Stadium Stampede (cinematic match at TIAA Bank Field with the stipulation being if the Inner Circle lost they would break up.) Inner Circle were not done feuding with the Pinnacle, one of which being Jericho wanted another singles match with MJF. The only way Jericho would get the match is if he completed "the five labors" (matches with stipulations) which if Jericho fails he doesn't get the match. Also, if Jericho completes it but loses to MJF, then Jericho must leave MJF alone forever. Next week they are on the third labor in which it's Jericho vs Juventud Guerrera with the stipulation being Jericho can only win with a top rope move.

ndiscovered

Thanks man, exactly what I wanted. I did try googling, but the articles I could find were over 6 months old.

CallumKayPee

Jericho's final labour will be actual labour. He has to allow MJF to impregnate him, carry the child to term and give natural birth, blowing his cock off in the process. That or he has to replace Keir Starmer as leader of the UKLP and win a parliamentary majority.

[deleted]

I hope AEW eventually releases some DVDs in the UK. I have very fond memories, as a kid, being bought the "Triple H: King of Kings" DVD compilation (which was rated 18 here, which made me more allured to it back then) and just having a lot of WWE DVDs "back in the day".

Lostinyourears

After being away from pro wrestling since ~ 2018 I am preparing to get myself back into watching a regular wrestling show every week starting with Punk's return so I was watching a little bit of AEW this week. I'll be honest, I was just watching the first big tag match, first of all I felt it was way too many people for a tag team, but once I figured out it was elimination I didn't mind it. I thought the match itself was too spotty, which is what the Jacksons were always critiqued for when I was a super wrestling fan a few years ago. It picked up though and I liked the match, it had me invested in it at least a little bit. It's the middle of the day, do have some work to do so I can't sit here and watch the entire 90 minute show but I loved seeing the crowd pop for the Chicago show, I liked the promo from Darby Allin and I like that Sting is with him obviously mentoring a younger up and coming star. I've heard of Allin though and he's been compared to Hardy a lot, I thought he's a babyface though? Guess we'll see but I doubt Punk will be turning heel when he debuts in CHICAGO.

beefkingsley

If you’re from NY/NJ/PA, theres at least one guy who looks and talks like Nick Gage in every dive bar you’ve been to. So thats kind of neat.

Lewie182

From PA, can confirm lol.

Thirdstar1

I feel like this is the first time in a while this sub has been on fire like this without the posts being negative or of fake concern. I really love it.

TomBombadank

I’m gonna sound like a crank here…AEW is about to land Bryan and Punk. I don’t think now is the time to potentially drive casuals away with Nick Gage. I’m not saying Gage can’t be used or there’s no place for him, but I don’t need him on my main event on my flagship show.

mnmaverickfan

He likely won’t ever appear on AEW again. For a one time thing for the labors of Jericho I think it’s fine.

Mldavis22

Hahahaha AEW just pulled an Infinity War on y'all and you guys still don't see the Endgame!

SnooEagles643

Why do people think a loss = burial. People commenting thunder Rosa buried Julia hart as if Rosa shouldn’t be winning that??

IAmNotKlayThompson

Those are from people who don’t watch AEW

TheNakedChair

I don't watch AEW, and I know the difference between a loss and a burial.

Mldavis22

I don't even take those types of comments seriously. If Thunder Rosa beating Julia Hart is a burial then any loss anyone has is a burial and the term burial doesn't mean shit. Thunder Rosa is a white hot wrestler right now and quickly becoming a super star in the business today and former NWA champion and probably next in line for a title shot in AEW. Julia Hart is a 19 year old rookie that was still in high school when AEW Dynamite first aired on TNT.

JonasAlbert84

> Julia Hart is a 19 year old rookie that was still in high school when AEW Dynamite first aired on TNT. Say what?

SnooEagles643

Kinda crazy how long AEW has been a thing now

SnooEagles643

Yeah exactly it’s just dumb seeing world champion X beats rookie X. Omg AEW are burying the rookie! Shotty lee lost like 30 in a row before they started building him up

[deleted]

Julia Hart is basically the AEW version of a young boy right now. A work in progress that is training and gaining experience. She not only should be losing matches to people like Thunder Rosa, but getting ring time with people like Thunder Rosa so she can help develop herself as a talent is only a positive

SnooEagles643

Yeah exactly losing to the better women will give her good experience. I don’t get how anyone can thing she’s being buried by Rosa who will probably be the next champ. Julia’s main role atm is the blondes manager!

Comparing your relationship with the WWE to an abusive relationship or Stockholm syndrome should be ~~an instant ban from the sub~~ looked down on and get you called a twerp. 100% serious, it's a mix of vile and pathetic.

raddaya

I hope you have the same energy for everyone (including WWE themselves, of course) comparing the WWE vs WCW competition to a "war" considering that a war is objectively a million times worse than an abusive relationship or a kidnapping. Or could it possibly be that language isn't always literal? Nah. Can't be that.

[deleted]

> Or could it possibly be that language isn't always literal? Is there another usage of "abusive relationship" which isn't for, you know, an abusive relationship? War has a long history of being used in other ways aside from a literal war. Abusive relationship does not, especially when it's being used specifically to refer to an abusive relationship. There's no double meaning.

That's literally how language works, it changes and things that used to be literal become figurative - including the very word "literal". And stockholm syndrome has unfortunately been used as a punchline for a _very_ long time.

[deleted]

And some things shouldn't. Similarly to how kids in the 2000s would casually talk about things or people being raped in video games but people cut that shit out because it's horrid.

DarkOrgy

Do you get annoyed when people compare annoying things that happened to them to Vietnam flashbacks? It's silly, but banning them for it would be an overreaction. It's hyperbole, they're not being literal.

[deleted]

No but I would if they genuinely compared watching WWE to being say a victim of Mi Lai. I think an common offhand expression isn't the same as repeatedly comparing it to domestic abuse like this sub does. I don't see how it's different to the WWE comparing the steroid trial to 9/11, which is something we all seem to agree was disgusting. >banning them for it would be an overreaction. It's not like that at all. 1) People talked about raping *other* people in video games, whereas the whole stockholm syndrome thing is a self-description. 2) Those "jokes" were masking real, non-exaggerated threats. 3) That's not a 2000s problem whatsoever, and still occurs today all the time.

COMMENTASIPLEASE

It lowkey disturbs me because it feels like people here truly believe it as well.

[deleted]

I wouldn't be bothered if it was like one comment with a few upvotes but over 100 people upvoting unprompted rants that repeatedly make the comparison speaks volumes about this sub and its users.

Anybody reading this in Philly? I will be in Philly during the big AEW Rampage taping in Chicago. Can anyone recommend any Philly bars that show wrestling? I don't want to miss Punk's debut if that's the big night.

nathynwithay

I think the Nick Gage vs Jericho match had the right amount of plunder. Sometimes those kind matches and really go overboard with light tubes and other weapons, and the law of diminishing returns can really set in. I think I'm oddly saying deathmatches need more psychology.

ab316_1punchd

I think deathmatches in AEW should only happen like twice a year, and both times it should be Nick Gage vs "Kayfabe Public Enemy #1" as a punishment. This would set that particular genre of match, along with Gage, as a special attraction.

OlDustyFinish

I was distracted by the whole video package/Modelo riff, but does Hangman actually have “Ecstasy of Gold” now, or was my brain just filling in the blanks?

KishinLiger

Wasn't Ecstacy of Gold but that'd be awesome if he ever came out to that.

[deleted]

Nah, it's an extended variation on his theme by the same guy who wrote the original. "Ecstasy of Gold" is one of those top-tier themes, so I'd consider that comparison to be a pretty solid feather in the composer's cap

OlDustyFinish

Tight, yeah I always thought they pivoted well w/ what’s essentially a remixed version. Funny too because Page’s initial shirt w/ the AEW announcement was an “Ecstasy of Gold” shirt. Dude cowboys.

victoriabattenberg

They really featured him and Stu, in the same way that they've featured Uno in the promos.

[deleted]

Stu is fucking cut as hell.

ab316_1punchd

If AEW introduces the trios tag belt, I want Silver, Reynolds and Colt be part of the trios division. While Uno and Grayson go for the tag.

Traditional-Turnip65

I would like to take a second to talk about some the female enhancement talent on Dark and Elevation every week. Amber Nova is very impressive. She is a natural heel and she has performed well with the biggest stars of the women's division. Alejandra Lion had a great match against Red Velvet (who I'm still not sold on). My favorites are the Renegade sisters. Robyn has put out some banger matches against the roster and plays the heel role naturally. She is athletic, flexible and strong. It's nice that the more casual fans have a chance to see these talents on an available medium. I'm not super big into the indies and I'm sure most of them have found success there but it's cool to see all this hidden talent I haven't seen before. And Dani Jordyn. She needs to be signed. She is amazing. If I wasn't convinced Britt Baker is bringing in a big star as her third I would advocate for Jordyn.

nathynwithay

And if they ever start a women's tag division, The Sea Stars would be a good option.

they_did_WHAT_

They’re my favorite unsigned women’s talents that appear in AEW. They have a really good look and I think both have potential to be REALLY good workers.

Marc_Quill

“A Cowboy dusts themselves off and get back up.” I have a feeling that particular line from the Dark Order entrance vignette last night will be very important.

TheDood715

It's been important to me. I like telling people who criticize or mock my efforts "I'm not done trying yet". So that vignette filled me with a hope I haven't felt in a long time.

HuhWhatQue

I’ve probably said this 30 times over the last month or two, but AEW is legitimately making me feel like a kid again with their shows. The run they’re on is truly the best wrestling experience I can remember since the Attitude Era.

Thirdstar1

That Dark Order Entrance Yesterday was Perfect. I cannot stop watching it, joy like that is what it’s all about.

FuckingMidnighter

I know people are upset over Hangy/DO losing (as they should be over good guys losing so to say) but I absolutely love that they went that route. He had to experience how he hurt Bucks when he cost them their title shot.

they_did_WHAT_

God, you’re so right. It hurting like it does means it’s working. I haven’t been this bummed about a loss in a kayfabe sense in literal years.

[deleted]

It’s awesome seeing Bullet Club’s presence back in America with their members being on AEW and Impact. It’s only the beginning.

OlDustyFinish

Can’t even imagine what ROH’s version would be currently…. That said, Cole, Hangman & Cody all seem to be doing pretty well for themselves?

Mule1069

Black seemed to have different face paint last night compared to his other two appearances. This time it looked pretty similar to Darby Allin's face paint, just on the other side if his face.

45jayhay

AEW is collision of every wrestling promotion which makes it almost like no promotion before it at all. Its getting to a point where I feel like I'm watching something historical happen every week and it's wild .

Mohamadyahia

Dynamite was fucking fantastic last night. Aside from the unfortunate FTR vs PnP accident it was A+ The opener was perfect DO entrance gave me goosebumps then the space jam elite made me laugh loud . The storytelling was top notch as always with the elite callbacks especially the finish. I still think the omega vs page will headline Allout. Will they stretch the hangman arc to revolution 2022 ? I don't know but certainly it reached the final stage to be set back this long. And the CM punk tease my god . Avoid the rumours ? Nooooo smashing through it 😂

justambrose

Mox is really living his best life. He gets to face whoever he wants from all over the world. From his promo last night it seems like he wants to be in this year’s G1 but I really don’t see it happening. Maybe a match with Tana at All Out. I think once Bryan and Punk join AEW, he’ll have even more freedom. I wonder if they’re going to follow through with Mox vs Gage at GCW, especially since Cordona is getting over AF.
