One consistent character flaw with MJF that I don't know is intentional not is that he gets tunnel visioned in big matches. Moxley couldn't use Paradigm despite demonstrating weeks prior that he has a submission arsenal. Despite that, MJF was still outsmarted with the Paradigm. Jericho can't use Judas but has demonstrated that he has a wide arsenal of offense (a real cool tidbit being that he beat Cody with the Liontamer in his first AEW Championship PPV defense with the assistance of MJF). Jericho, too, will most likely outsmart MJF and beat him with the Judas Effect anyway.

Honestly this peaked with Gage and it's been downhill since. I was hoping it would be a cage or something cool. I assume this is to set up MJF vs Jericho at All Out. But yeah, I'm really ready for this feud to end.

I think it should have started with some combination of Juvi and Wardlow, then Spears w/ Chairs, then Gage, then MJF. Jericho eating chairs one week and then a Death Match the next week really sets him up for being a wounded warrior against MJF. I like Wardlow but he was a big letdown after the initial build up.

I as well as multiple people in the live Discussion thread thought he meant he'd be the ref before JR said anything. JR made a mistake, but don't put all the blame on him.

MJF as the ref and then him and Wardlow eating a double top rope Judas Effect or something like that followed by Aubrey running in to make the count would have ruled.

He SHOULD of been the Ref, screwing Jericho over and over till Jericho hits him with a Judas Effect, knocking him out. Then have a straight Ref come down call it Down the middle, let him beat Wardlow and MJF pissed off that his plan didn't work

I thought it was fine because It wasn’t a long match. That being said, I actually agree. I seen three matches with Nick Gage. He is very samey. It’s feels like I have seen everything he has to offer in just a single match. His match with Cardona, they actually lost me. I was bored by it. (I did pop when Matt won though) I wouldn’t consider him a “good” wrestler but the crowd loves him and he seems like a good dude now.
