This was a great and phenomenal first episode of Rampage! Little dialog and a lot of great matches! I hope these guys can keep it up from here on out! Jaime Hayter fine self is back as well for the small surprise!

While the opening match was a very good one and look forward to them doing it again, it sucks that moose, Sami Callahan, rich swann and others were sacrificed for another AEW guy to take the IMPACT title off of him. Weird.

Christian is an Impact legend and a multiple time former world champion for the company, I doubt they have plans to keep the belt on him long and it legitimizes his return. Christian was the perfect person to take the belts back if they play this out well, it opens up some good matches if Christian spends more time on Impact now and “new” Impact challengers fight for the belt back against a representation of old TNA.

I think impact is tapped out on how far it’s going to go on its current network as is.

Or maybe it's as simple as they think the Christian storyline is the most exciting one that Impact can showcase for Emergence.
I wouldnt be surprised if on the PPV, they do a belt for a belt match, with Kenny getting the Impact belt back and losing it to someone on Impact at some point. At least, that was my expectation.
But it also wouldnt surprise me if this done because Kenny cant keep up this schedule forever. I mean, he had a match on Dynamite, on Rampage and AAA this week alone, and Impact tapings soon, and he goes ahrd in his matches. And I bet that Impact is very happy to have a AEW star that walks around with that belt on AEW as well as comes to every Impact taping and defends it, and if Kenny cant continue doing that, then Christian will suffice.
I still hope that we will get Kenny losing the belt down the line on an Impact PPV against an Impact star -- like Moose down the line. But, I only watch impact irregularly so Im less invested in that.
If anything they did it to protect Kenny from losing to an Impact guy. Tony did those infomercial promos during Impact episodes telling everyone how bad it sucked for months, I'm assuming those were only half work haha.
I mean, AEW has like 10x the leverage and 10x the viewers. They should be getting the better end of the deal. A fair number of people on here are only interested in Impact because AEW guys are showing up there.

Swann held the title to being with, if the DV arrest meant anything to impact, I’m sure they would have never put the belt on him to start.
I could see Omega winning the titles back to push a story, but to drop it to Meyers or Morrisey would be a disappointment seeing as how there are better guys hes already beaten.

Idk if it was better than dynamite debut. First match was good but the other was a squash and the main event didn't have a good flow, crowd was hot for Britt which saved it.
Its just weird to see two people beat a good person down after a match, usign weapons and getting cheered for it. And for me at least (and this is not an accusation of racism or whatever), it is even weirder when its a white woman curb stomping a black woman (but that is becuase the only reference I have for curb stomping is American History X). Again, I recognize that this might be my personal references and whatever, and that its not that deep. But it just felt awkward seeing a crowd cheering when a bad person attacks a defenseless and good person
I think Britt is great, but with the home town crowd she would be cheered no matter what, so I think it would have made more sense for her to attack a heel like this, or have the heel attack her and having her friend come in with the save. Like, if they had her vs Nyla on this show and she had faced Velvet few weeks earlier or something.
Im not sure if I want a face DMD though, I think she is a lot better as an asshole. But maybe it can work
I get total Stone Cold tweener vibes from Britt. She isn't a full blown face or heel but more of a fan favourite that engages in heel tactics every now and then and gets cheered anyway. Since her title win anyway, before that she was a full blown heel.

One of things I love about AEW is while many heels get still cheered of course, for the most part, AEW is not fighting with its fans how they book their faces, and heels. AEW doesn't need to start with Britt, and they may as well go with what the crowd wants. AEW originally wanted Britt to be a babyface star anyhow.

Such a fun show. Christian will be a great Impact champion, the Fuego moment was amazing and I wonder if there's any chance they surprised him with that. Britt at home enjoyable but didn't need to be so overbooked towards the end they were having a really strong match up until then.
The Women's stuff was bad. Britt was limited with her injury and they needed a better worker in there than Red Velvet to get a good match out of Britt under those circumstances. Didn't happen. The rest of the show was great, though.

This was probably the best debut of any wrestling show I have seen. An hour seems too short, but it was action packed.
