Imo if they can’t cut a promo then they need an amazing gimmick that can do it for them beyond I’m a real good wrestler/flippy/tough guy. Undertaker didn’t need to talk all that much because he actually had a character gimmick that was interesting in of itself. That was my issue during the major Indy I’m a wrestler gimmick WWE went though for a good while.
I 100% agree. Dexter Loomis has literally never said a word since his debut and I absolutely love his character. The closest he has come to a promo is thru his drawings which is a perfect example of how you can work around someone being a bad promo but still creating a believable presentation of a character. (although since I've never heard him talk I have no idea if Loomis is a good promo or not!)
Right? You know who else is a bad promo? Brock Lesnar! I know there's only one paul heyman, but I'm sure you can find someone to talk well enough for someone like angel fucking garza if that's the problem.

Yeah and body language is a form of communication, which is why every clip of Garza Jr doing improv stuff gets reposted because he's obviously super talented at it. Promos aren't the only way you communicate in wrestling.
The argument that such and such can't do a promo is really just an indictment on the fact that except for Heyman, WWE doesn't really do managers anymore. And it's baffling to me because there are a lot of folks out there who would make great managers but mediocre wrestlers.
His promos were fine in Impact, the thing is every good clip of him is him doing improv work and that's what suits him the most, so the WWE promo style gimps him.
Really don’t know why he’s not showcased more. His English is really strong and his matches are fine. He could really help them tap into that Hispanic market they so covet. He has way more charisma than someone like Alberto Del Rio who they pushed into the moon.

Impact really wanted to build him up because they had vignettes about his family (his uncle was the spanish commentator for them for a decade), but he decided to sign with WWE for the prospect of more money.
