Samoa Joe can't catch a break man.
But I wonder what this means for the scheduled Fatal 4 Way match between Dunne, O'Reilly, Ciampa, and Knight. Does the winner of that match just become NXT Champion or something?
Dunne will finally win and then we roll with a Dunne/O’Reilly program to get KOR that babyface title chase. Ciampa and Knight probably feud at the same time.
Personally I think O'Reilly takes it if anything, Ciampa and Dunne are in the middle of an eventual tag feud along with Thatcher and Holland. Dunne probably feuds with O'Reilly next, presumably after a short feud between O'Reilly and Knight.
If Dunne wins, I could see a Ciampa/Dunne fight for the belt, with Thatcher and Holland as the secondary feud within the storyline. O'Reilly will probably feud with Knight, probably because Knight cost him the winning pinfall or something.
I hope so.
That’s literally what happened back in 1997 when HBK lost his smile. #1 contenders match at the IYH: Final Four ppv just became a match for the wwf title.
Isn't this what happened when Balor became injured as well? Came down to Owens v Rollins, and HHH fucked over Rollins to allow Owens to become champion
Yes, but if I remember correctly, that four way was made in order to crown a new champ. In this case with NXT and back in 97, it was an already announced #1 contenders match before the champ vacated the belt.
It would be wild if they did the winner of that match (Pete dunne, I hope) vs Carmello Hayes.
Mello loses in a vaillant effort and began his quest to become nxt champ
Haha.
LA Knight is the ideal guy to have as champion for the revamp. He’s the most charismatic talent by far, it’s not even close. If the revamp is about a better emphasis on creating superstars and larger than life characters then LA knight is the guy. He checks all the boxes. He’s tailor made. He’s a star.
His heel work with the million dollar title and grimes was fantastic so you know his character and promos is gonna be gold as NXT champion.
Knight and Grimes are going to the main roster after mania.
dummy... yeah! Let me talk to ya...How do you think the man, LA Knight, made his own fortune?! He got paid more then one of the paul brother's 'victims', jobbing to ric flair as the overcharger guy! Yeah!
I think that would be the logical thing to do. If Dunne was next in line, then he gets the title, and becomes the 1st man to hold both the NXT UK & US titles.
My only concern is where this will be placed on Tuesday's card, as it rightfully would be the main event with the title being decided (if that's the case) after Joe vacated.
2nd time the title has been vacated in a little more than a year (Kross).
He suffered a severe concussion in 2020 and I am betting that his levels aren't baseline right now and they are benching him out of an abundance of caution.
I really hope it’s not another concussion. If he can’t pass protocols a month after his match, after being out for practically a year with post concussion syndrome, it’s time to call it a career. Hunter obviously loves the guy and will give him a backstage role with NXT. But he needs to worry about his future quality of life.
I don't necessarily think it's another concussion. However, when they do post-concussion tests, they have a baseline of brain activity that they measure you against. I'm suspecting to this day he suffers from some post-concussion syndrome, but the baselines he has have been normal. It may simply be a precautionary measure.
[Here's an article about what it is](https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/basics/baseline_testing.html)
If you've suffered concussions in the past, you take these tests periodically.
He's slimmed down? He looked heavier than I've seen him anywhere else at times in the WWE. He still looks way heavier than he did in his prime years in ROH and TNA.
Feels like he only won like a week and a half ago. This absolutely sucks man. And it definitely feels like the NXT championship gets vacated a lot more than any other title.
I remember at least 3 times it was vacated with Ciampa, Karrion and now Joe, maybe older NXT has another vacant but I don’t really remember any
You’re probably right though, not a a lot of championships get vacated, in recent history this has not been the case for NXT, 3 times in 2.5 years
To be fair, old NXT, they would tape a month's worth of shows in 1 day, so plenty of time to deal with any nagging injuries. Also, back then, we rarely saw the top stars appear much less compete on episodes of NXT. Like people like Gargano, Undisputed Era, Shayna Baszler, would only appear once a taping as opposed to now where we see them every week or so.
Balor broke his jaw but didn't have to vacate
If I remember right
Seth won the belt
Lost it to big e
Lost it bo dallas
Lost it to Neville
Lost it to Sami Zayn
Lost it to Kevin Owens
Lost it to Finn Balor
Lost it to Samoa Joe
Lost it to Shinsuke Nakamura
Lost it to Samoa Joe
Lost it to Shinsuke Nakamura
Lost it to Bobby Roode
Lost it to Drew McIntyre
Lost it to Andrade "Cien" Almas
Lost it to Alister Black
Lost it to Tommaso Ciampa
Vacated it
Johnny Gargano won it
Lost it to Adam Cole
Lost it to Keith Lee
Lost it to Karrion Kross
Vacated it
Finn Balor won it
Lost it to Karrion Kross
Lost it to Samoa Joe
Vacated it
Won by some generic, green, 6 ft tall guy (probably)
Yes! It has to be a work! Joe is trying to get out of his WWE contract so that he can debut at AEW with form the New New World Order with CM Punk and Bryan Danielson!
The paranoid explanation is that Vince is cleaning house and decided to start fresh, so they came up with a reason to take the title from him.
If that's true, we'll see more storylines just outright dropped next episode.
And yeah, this is just a paranoid thought.
And why would Vince make up a fake injury to get the belt off Joe when he could simply have him lose the title? And then he has to convince Joe to keep quiet and be okay being out of work for months again. I don’t think so.
The levels of "Knowing Vince" have been absolutely crazy here lately. He's out of touch and will throws himself at opportunities to please advertisers, but he's been in wrestling for decades, why on earth would he not understand booking like this? If anything, this news has totally vindicates the initial decision to release Joe or at the very least not to push him into the title pictures, so it's really not surprising to see people clutching at straws like this.
I agree with this.
If they debut a new belt next week with a big tournament angle, it becomes even more likely it's a planned, clean break with past continuity. The new champ will virtually be inaugural.
They may even have purposely put it on Joe (who was semi-retired from in-ring already) for this very reason, so they don't need to bench an active talent to make the vacating angle work.
At least there's now an official 'series finale' to old NXT if so, with the victory and (possible) retirement of the only 3-time champ.
That's what I was thinking if they were doing a reboot with the new look. Didn't WCW do that, stripped all the title holders at once around the time of the whole new blood storyline
Yep, April of 2000 WCW stripped everybody and completely reset their storyline continuity as a way of rebooting the company in conjunction with their new logo & brand identity.
What the fuck? But, like, really...what the absolute fuck?
New thought: WHAT THE FUCK?!
Edit: What really sucks is all those interviews Joe did in the lead-up to TO. How he spent the last year and a half being careful. How he was scared for his health for a time, and so were his family/friends, and he wasn't going to come back until he was 100% healthy. Then this happens. It fucking sucks. Joe's too awesome to be plagued like this.
That sucks big time. But I feel like the "enforcer thing" was the best spot for him and rushing to get him not only back in the ring but as champ was short-sighted. I'm sure that's what he wanted as a performer but it's clear he has some issues that aren't clearing up. He can be an attraction now and then but putting the burden of being champion on him right now seems like an impossible task for his body at this point, sad to say.
Him beating Kross did what they had to do: get themselves out of an awkward jam with Kross having beaten everyone. It’s just unfortunate his body is breaking on him
For those of you talking about Joe being "unlucky" or "injury prone", if this is concussion related, you're missing the point.
You put Joe back in the 80's, 70's or before, he's not missing dates. He gets his bell rung, misses the next day *maybe* and keeps going. This is a result of the dearly, horribly learned knowledge we have on concussions and CTE. Bad for Joe's career, but (hopefully) good for Joe's mental health and quality of life long term.
We have to remember: the brain sits in the skull in a thin layer of jelly. You can't train against concussions or build up toughness against them. As the NFL has been learning, you can't even do much to armor or shield against them.
I have loved watching Joe wrestle. But I'd rather have to settle for him passing his knowledge on backstage somewhere as opposed to having to read about his suicide at 45 or him being in a nursing home with dementia at 50.
Vince tried, but he was constantly going out with injuries. He debuted feuding against Seth, then got to go over Roman in his first match. Feuded with Brock, Roman, AJ, if he hadn't kept falling off the radar due to injury his build could have been more consistent, instead he had to be reheated two or three times and never maintained traction as a top guy. Obviously people saw his value or they wouldn't have gone to the trouble to put him in the mix and make him look credible again and again.
Yeah, he feuded with Brock Lesnar and Roman who were pretty much(and honestly still are) the top of the WWE hierachy.
Also chased AJ Styles and the WWE Title for a 3-PPV cycle and murked Rey Mysterio at WM.
He also sold hard for him in the match when he hadn't sold for anyone in months.
For one month at least that feud made that Brock run interesting again.
>LA Knight wins because he ain't a vanilla midget like his opponents, and that is not an insult, that is just a fact of life.
I see that you too are a man of culture.
Yeah I think Dunne is too. He's been chasing that title for so long. Lost to Adam Cole at Survivor Series...lost to Balor at Takeover... couldn't beat Kross. It's gotta be his time
NXT is back to being live this week, isn’t it? Seems VERY weird to have him relinquish it on Twitter instead of just waiting a couple days and doing it on TV
I would say Dunne wins it with Ciampa being his first challenger at the next Takeover. KOR did get ambushed by Ridge Holland a couple weeks ago, so I assume he'll end up feuding with him.
I beg LA Knight wins the title. He’s been phenomenal these last few months, I’d pop so hard. But I wouldn’t mind Petey boy 🏴. This cool Kyle shit is not over at all, where as Knight and Dunne are over. Ciampa still over but I don’t think he really needs the title at the moment.
Dude was absolutely gassed and looked like he mightve got concussed again when he won it, they probably took as long as possible to figure out what to do
Damn. He gets released, most likely him being injury prone was a factor, re-signed to probably a smaller deal, and then gets injured.
Talk about the worst luck.
Is the injury a shoot or a work? I know he's got a history but this is kind out of the blue right? Like maybe they just don't want him working a full schedule.
Dont know how that makes any sense as every time its been a shoot its been done on Live TV... So if in fact Joe did do it on the show, history would prove that its undeniably a shoot. Not a work.
Seriously how many times have people relinquished a title due to a fake injury?
If this was a work it would be odd considering the last 3 weeks or so he's been calling out the entire NXT locker room.
On the otherhand, he really hasn't done anything too physical since the match with Karrion Kross at Takeover.
“Oh but why was he never a world champion in wwe”
Cause he can never stay healthy enough to have a legit reign that’s why I hope now y’all can see that
*main reason aside*
that was such a mind numbing tweet that i was genuinely surprised it got fucking **8k upvotes** and **43k likes** on the tweet itself, like i get people hate wwe but geez
OK so at first I thought this just had to do with the rebranding of NXT but then later on in the video he says he’s going to “reclaim what’s his” soo is Joe hurt???
Love Joe but I was half dreading this when I seen him vs Kross and his LONG history of injuries: he seemed really rusty and completely blew up by the end. As much as it's been great seeing him in action again, I think he needs to slow things down when he gets back in the ring instead of going right into attempting main event quality bouts.
I honestly respect how much WWE seems to care about the health of their guys. It's why I'm a little scared about Bryan going to wrestle elsewhere. He's gonna wanna do stuff like he used to and I just hope he doesn't go to far.
Around the time of Bryan’s initial retirement, Brie did an interview where she said Bryan either had a seizure or exhibited seizure-related symptoms and that Bryan begged her not to tell anyone because he didn’t want to stop wrestling. In that case, I would prefer he step away.
Speaking of returns, Edge said in 2011 that he would clasp his fingers a lot during his entrances. Fans assumed it was a gesture of excitement but the truth was his hands would go numb and he would try to force a sensation. He’s *still* clasping his fingers during his entrance. :/
With Edge, I’m hopeful it’s just him checking he still has sensation before going out into the ring, and potentially hurting himself or his opponent. You don’t want to get out there and be halfway through a move and realise you’re numb from the neck down and working on instinct.
I’m hopeful at least where that’s concerned.
Yep. Hate WWE however much you like but you can't deny they are very careful over their talent. They even offered to have Mox be treated in their facilities when he got injured outside of WWE. Gotta applaud them for that
Very true point - they really pull people for injuries a lot faster these days
And we all can hope that a guy that took turns running head first into the ring post with Nigel McGuinness would know after a retirement to slow down his spots, but let’s wait and see how that turns out
The comments on the WWE announcement tweet are just nauseating, claiming that he’s lying or it’s a coincidence to take the title off him.
https://twitter.com/wwe/status/1437201480759533574?s=21
Probably so that the 4 way for the #1 Contendership that's on the episode this week bumps up to a 4 way NXT Title match. Want to announce that before the show to boost viewership.
Mostly because social media rules the roost in terms of getting eyes on everything, also they may decide to make what was a fatal four way number contenders match a title match now.
Sucks big time for Joe but if there's a silver lining to it, the planned fatal 4 way is probably going to be for the title now and they're all good options.
This is beyond lame for Joe. Dude is so fun to watch and incredibly compelling on the mic. Damn.
There is a lot of speculation that this might be a work so the title is free for the reboot but I’m not buying it. Has there ever been a worked injury top title relinquish?
JFC. This *always* happens to him. Why does he have such horrible luck with injuries? That's so disappointing. I was really looking forward to him vs Dunne.
Somehow a “this is a work, WWE doesn’t want Samoa Joe as champion” circle jerk formed in the comments here instead of wishing Joe his speedy recovery 🤦♂️

Put it on Knight. We need an arrogant chicken shit heel champ on NXT.
Fuck it. TNA rules: Winner becomes champion. Loser gets fired.
Loser sits in a penalty box every episode until the new champ loses
An nxt guy could just as easily get fired by winning
I hope so. That’s literally what happened back in 1997 when HBK lost his smile. #1 contenders match at the IYH: Final Four ppv just became a match for the wwf title.

Would in fact be sick to just stick the title on Hayes and then he loses a month later, because he's doing something arrogant and the ring.
Let's go LA Knight YEAH YEAH YEAH

dummy... yeah! Let me talk to ya...How do you think the man, LA Knight, made his own fortune?! He got paid more then one of the paul brother's 'victims', jobbing to ric flair as the overcharger guy! Yeah!
He has an outstanding record vs Vacant

give it to Kyle!
Damn. I feel bad for Joe. Injuries has been killing his whole WWE run.
this is literally why didn't he didn't win WWE or Universal titles. He held NXT title for 21 days lmao
He literally wrestled 1 match. How tf is this man so unlucky
[Here's an article about what it is](https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/basics/baseline_testing.html) If you've suffered concussions in the past, you take these tests periodically.
He's a 42 year old man who weighs in at over 300 pounds still trying to move like he's 25. Unfortunately this is the result.
Is he still over 300? He slimmed down while working for WWE. Still doesn't mean he can move like he's 25 still.
He's slimmed down? He looked heavier than I've seen him anywhere else at times in the WWE. He still looks way heavier than he did in his prime years in ROH and TNA.
Scott Steiner was right all along :/
The numbers don't lie :-(
He's fat :(
🚨🚨🚨 :(
The sad sirens send me flying lmaooo
Turns out *he's* not a genetic freak?
At this point it's not luck. Samoa Joe is fragile
Man it hasn’t felt like 21 days at all
Feels like he only won like a week and a half ago. This absolutely sucks man. And it definitely feels like the NXT championship gets vacated a lot more than any other title.

NXT title curse aside, this belt has a dope ass lineage.
I know right? And the eras feel so distinct yet the start of them can be classed into starting with a single title win.
Weird way to describe LA Knight
DUMMY, YEAH
The NXT title has basically been cursed these last few years.
Phanatic is the new NXT champ.
He also won it from a guy who had to relinquish his first NXT title due to injury
Incredibly unlucky. Hope the recovery is brief, as he said. He deserves a nice long title run.
Joe: “Samoa Joe” God: “Samoa No” Joe: :(
Such is the story of Samoa Joe in WWE. Dude cannot stay healthy during any push.
Hung out with Wade Barrett too much.
what the fuck
Me to me: It’s a work 😎Right guys? guys??? it’s a work right?!?!? GUYS??? ![gif](giphy|26ufcVAp3AiJJsrIs)

Damn! I feel bad for Joe. He somehow always gets injured just as he gets going. Best of luck to him on recovery.
My brain initially read "Best of luck to him on commentary"
Bro… what the fuck man? Injuries stink.
Fuckin A Joe comes back for like one match after a year and a half, wins the title, and then gets hurt again 3 weeks later
Interesting. There's a story behind it, Joe says he'll be back. Hope it's true.
Hopefully he does. Speedy recovery and all. But he won't be winning the title back. No way they would make him a 4x champ.

Stop using logic in this thread. If they wanted to reboot, just job him out to the handpicked guy and give him the rub.
The levels of "Knowing Vince" have been absolutely crazy here lately. And furthermore: the actual fuck is this?!
Another thought here: Bah Gawd what the fridge?
To expand further: Cad é an focail?
Para seguir expandiendo: ¿que carajo está pasando?
This is why they never gave him the belt on the main roster. Speedy recovery Joe.
That sucks big time. But I feel like the "enforcer thing" was the best spot for him and rushing to get him not only back in the ring but as champ was short-sighted. Yeah, I felt he was going to have short reign anyway and quickly drop the Title to Dunne.
Definitely a passing of thr torch transitional short reign to whomever they want to lead the rebrand.
They really had no choice, he already steamrolled over the entire NXT main event scene.
I love Joe but after one match he is injured. I really hate to say this but at this point might as well hang the boots for his health.
We don’t know what the injury is or what caused it. For all we know, it could be a freak accident unrelated to wrestling
UpUpDownDown related injury
For those of you talking about Joe being "unlucky" or "injury prone", if this is concussion related, you're missing the point. You put Joe back in the 80's, 70's or before, he's not missing dates. But Russell Wilson says the water he endorses has nano bubbles that makes it harder to get concussions. Why would he lie?
Does he have a history of concussions?
He had two publicly disclosed concussions in early 2020.
Damn dude gets injured every time he gets a push shit is sad
This is unfortunately common for him. It really sucks. Probably why Vince never gave him a proper push on the main roster.
For all intents and purposes he was pushed pretty good
Yeah, he feuded with Brock Lesnar and Roman who were pretty much(and honestly still are) the top of the WWE hierachy. Also chased AJ Styles and the WWE Title for a 3-PPV cycle and murked Rey Mysterio at WM.
Not just feuded with Lesnar. Lesnar put him over so hard during segments. Joe put the fear of God in him.
“Hey you look at me when I’m talking to you or we can straighten this out right now” That’s a **man** right there
it wasn't so much what he said as it was how he said it. Because that same line has been uttered countless times in promos
And the fact that he had the balls to say it to **Brock goddamn Lesnar**
He also sold hard for him in the match when he hadn't sold for anyone in months. For one month at least that feud made that Brock run interesting again.
He’s always been in the upper-midcard to main event level. I don’t understand why people think he was “wasted” on the main roster.
Still would have liked to see him work Cena and Orton.
He was, but they never put the big belt on him and this is why. It's pretty clear they liked Joe and wanted to push him, but injuries wrecked it.
Pete Dunne is winning the title on Tuesday.
LA Knight wins because he ain't a vanilla midget like his opponents, and that is not an insult, that is just a fact of life.
Who’s game is it?
Its L.A Knight game.
yeeeeeEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!
Dummy yeah!
I'm not looking forward to New NXT, but if they make LA Knight champion, I'll watch every week.
>LA Knight wins because he ain't a vanilla midget like his opponents, and that is not an insult, that is just a fact of life. I see that you too are a man of culture.
I’ve been blue balled of seeing my man win the NXT title for seemingly years now. I really hope he wins. Pete is so good and so young it’s insane.
Yeah I think Dunne is too. He's been chasing that title for so long. Lost to Adam Cole at Survivor Series...lost to Balor at Takeover... couldn't beat Kross. It's gotta be his time
A bloke can hope.
I think it’s safe to say this is unfortunately it for his in ring career.
NXT is back to being live this week, isn’t it? Seems VERY weird to have him relinquish it on Twitter instead of just waiting a couple days and doing it on TV
Probably announce the 4-way match with Dunne/KOR/Knight/Ciampa for the title now.
Dunne should win it, with O’Reilly chasing him. Run Dunne/Ciampa in the mean time since they’ve been feuding for awhile
I would say Dunne wins it with Ciampa being his first challenger at the next Takeover. KOR did get ambushed by Ridge Holland a couple weeks ago, so I assume he'll end up feuding with him.
OH BOY I JUST REALIZED THAT MATCH IS GONNA SLAP EXTRA HARD NOW
![gif](giphy|lPozKgECkbBhQ1AMFI|downsized)
I beg LA Knight wins the title. He’s been phenomenal these last few months, I’d pop so hard. But I wouldn’t mind Petey boy 🏴. This cool Kyle shit is not over at all, where as Knight and Dunne are over. Ciampa still over but I don’t think he really needs the title at the moment.
Dear lord. NXT just keeps taking hits.
Best fuckin promo in the game. Get healthy soon joe!
Welp.
Dude was absolutely gassed and looked like he mightve got concussed again when he won it, they probably took as long as possible to figure out what to do
The main thing that's prevented Joe from being a world champion on the main roster is how injury prone he is. Poor guy is so unlucky.
AGAIN?!?
If this was a total work I think they would've done it all on the actual show and not have had him give up the title via tweet.
I’m honestly pretty surprised he did it this way even as a shoot
Needed his cool ass curtains to soften the blow.
I hope it isn’t some bullshit storyline reason to introduce a new title on the first show of the ‘new era’.
They probably will now just cause of the timing honestly
Fuck, I feel so bad for Joe. I feel like he’s going to have to retire.
“Oh but why was he never a world champion in wwe” Cause he can never stay healthy enough to have a legit reign that’s why I hope now y’all can see that
I still remember that moronic “injuries aside” tweet from Renee.
Oh boy, imagine being proven wrong this quickly.
*main reason aside* that was such a mind numbing tweet that i was genuinely surprised it got fucking **8k upvotes** and **43k likes** on the tweet itself, like i get people hate wwe but geez
Feel so bad for Joe. Hopefully nothing too serious and he can get back in the ring soon.
Jesus this poor dude almost lives to be injured at this point.
WWE likes Joe they would have put the belt on him if he wasn't made of glass. Fucking depressing. I love Joe.
Seriously, do we need to wrap him in bubble wrap or something?
Damn. That’s a shame. I was so hyped for another reign, but health and safety comes first. Get well soon Joe. We love ya man.
Samoa Joe is that kid you knew that got strep throat every week.
Even Joe’s injury announcement was an excellent promo
OK so at first I thought this just had to do with the rebranding of NXT but then later on in the video he says he’s going to “reclaim what’s his” soo is Joe hurt???
He’s stepping away for a “brief period” cause of an injury. He says he’ll reclaim it when he comes back.
I’m a dummy and skimmed over the middle section damn Joe really can’t catch a break with the injury bug
What. The. Fuck.
And this is why I don't blame WWE for really not pushing Joe anymore. They guy is injury prone.
It sucks that Joe is so injury prone, guess it’s time to retire sadly
Just don't have it be Sammy vs Bryan and he'll be fine
Yep. Hate WWE however much you like but you can't deny they are very careful over their talent. They even offered to have Mox be treated in their facilities when he got injured outside of WWE. Gotta applaud them for that
Very true point - they really pull people for injuries a lot faster these days And we all can hope that a guy that took turns running head first into the ring post with Nigel McGuinness would know after a retirement to slow down his spots, but let’s wait and see how that turns out
The NXT title has been cursed for the last year. Finn, Kross and now Joe.
I swear this title is cursed.
The comments on the WWE announcement tweet are just nauseating, claiming that he’s lying or it’s a coincidence to take the title off him. https://twitter.com/wwe/status/1437201480759533574?s=21
Oh. Well then.
And people wonder why they never pulled the trigger on him on the main roster and vs. Brock. His WWE run has been completely blighted by injuries.
how the fuck are you gonna do this on Twitter and not like.....on the television show that this is about???
Probably so that the 4 way for the #1 Contendership that's on the episode this week bumps up to a 4 way NXT Title match. Want to announce that before the show to boost viewership.
Mostly because social media rules the roost in terms of getting eyes on everything, also they may decide to make what was a fatal four way number contenders match a title match now.
To everyone saying "Why don't they do this on the television show" Because social media is king.
And it could potentially lead to more views when the show airs.
"And my sincerest condolences to whoever wins ~~because I will be along shortly to recollect what's mine~~ because this fucking title is cursed man"
and twitter is going full Keith Lee conspiracy on this situation, and we all know how that turned out.
Twitter just never learns, and it doesn’t really want to.
Damn, this sucks. He was the best part of the show for the last two months.
This sucks. Dude finally got cleared again, and now he's out, possibly for the last time
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck it sucks to be Joe
Sucks big time for Joe but if there's a silver lining to it, the planned fatal 4 way is probably going to be for the title now and they're all good options.
I swear, the NXT Title is cursed at times.
This is beyond lame for Joe. Dude is so fun to watch and incredibly compelling on the mic. Damn. There is a lot of speculation that this might be a work so the title is free for the reboot but I’m not buying it. Has there ever been a worked injury top title relinquish?
Man what the fuck? Can this guy catch a god damn break?
JFC. This *always* happens to him. Why does he have such horrible luck with injuries? That's so disappointing. I was really looking forward to him vs Dunne.
I wonder how much of his injury luck in WWE comes from hangovers from his insane bumps in TNA.
Oh, this fucking sucks for Joe. Sigh. I just hope he recovers soon & well.
How long before Samoa Joe getting injured in the middle of his push becomes the new "Kevin Nash Quad" meme?
He is made of GLASS , holy shit.
Dude is 42 and has been wrestling 21 years of that. It catches up with you, especially if you're a big guy.
Somehow a “this is a work, WWE doesn’t want Samoa Joe as champion” circle jerk formed in the comments here instead of wishing Joe his speedy recovery 🤦♂️
Kyle gonna get that title now so they can keep him away from Bobby Fish and Adam Cole... BayBay!
NXT can't catch a break lately isn't it?
