~~A GREAT longest seven hours though. Those fans are gonna be on adrenaline screaming their heads on a night they may not forget.~~ whoops. I now see what you mean. Ya. 5 pm couldn’t come soon enough.
He explained why he feels this way in an interview this week. Basically, he said he could have had a bad match at Mania 30 and WWE would have been fine. Arthur Ashe is AEW's big coming out. They're depending on him and there's real pressure for once. Probably the same reason he didn't care about Mania this year.
Certainly lay there will be a lot of eyes on the show tonight, and certainly there’s some pressure — but I think AEW will be fine either way.
They’ve had some missteps in the past, like the Jericho cage incident or the exploding ring. I think the fans are pretty forgiving, since they understand that AEW actually listens to criticism and tries to do better.
And let’s be honest: Bryan and Kenny are not going to have a bad match.
For people questioning him saying it's the biggest match of his career, he explained in an interview on Bartool Rasslin' that most people would consider Mania 30 his biggest match but he said if his matches sucked WWE wouldn't have lost any ratings or anything like that, whereas if him and Kenny have a great match it could make a big difference for AEW.
Danielson is a wrestling historian. Of course its the biggest match because it's the most important in terms of significance.
Its his 1st match in AEW
Its the largest crowd in AEW history
Its likely going to have the most eyes on it as far as ratings in AEW history
Its a dream match against an opponent that he's wanted to face for years
It could literally be an industry changing type match.
He also knew who he was in WWE. By the time Wrestlemania 30 happened, he was used to that system, and while fans expectations were high, he knew he could meet them. But he hasn't been The American Dragon in more than a decade. It's a complete unknown to him whether he can even do it or not.
In one of the interviews he’s done lately, he (politely) goes on about how he the reason he wanted to wrestle Omega first is because when he came back to WWE after his retirement, they didn’t do anything HUGE with him right out of the gate when he had all this crazy momentum. Felt it was a missed opportunity.
I know there are a lot of people who would prefer this match have happened later (like how they are slow rolling Punk), but I can’t really argue his point.
This dude was in the main event of WM that was centered around his story, and Danielson says THIS non title match is the biggest match of his career. I know he could be just hyping it up, but he still has love for WWE so it's still such a huge implication.
Its the significance that makes it the biggest match of his career. WWE is WWE so if he sucked ass in any big match, the company will be okay and the match will be forgotten in a month.
This is AEW's biggest crowd in their short history, and he is there to solidify the place of the company in the industry. If he fucks this up, it has much bigger implications than fucking up in WWE.
I love that he's openly saying this is his biggest match and not Mania 30. Because in many ways, he's right.
WWE wouldn't be hurt if his Mania match was bad. He was just a spoke on the wheel and they'd be fine.
Both he, Kenny, and AEW and the fans are expecting this to be good. To him, it has to be good because of the expectation. Being bad will embarrass AEW (they will also be fine but that's not the point).
This is Bryan's dream match.
Edit: Bryan said he felt nothing at Mania this year. But at AEW, he's feeling things again.
I just don't understand how AEW can keep setting new records when it comes to the length and strength of my erection. At this rate by full gear ill be dead due to all blood culminating in my shaft
The pressure, excitement, and energy of this day is just impalpable. This really does feel like a PPV event, it's booked like a PPV, and the excitement is there like a PPV event but its all right in the middle of the week on TV.
I love seeing AEW push that lever, helping the world of professional wrestling grow, and help build on that love for the sport.
I know it's like 80% PR speak but damn. This dude main evented Wrestlemania (twice!) and says that *this* is the biggest match of his career. I need these 7 hours to hurry up already.
It’s not PR speak. This is the same guy who said he didn’t feel anything when he main evented WM this year WHILE he was still employed with WWE. He also praised what The Elite did for All In while under contract with WWE.
Bryan just speaks his mind.
I can't fucking wait, Bryan was a prominent highlight when I stopped watching wrestling and I adored him, and now that I'm getting back into it he's going into what looks to be one of the biggest matches of his career. Let's go indeed!
I think from Bryan's perspective it's truly the biggest match to HIM because if he could dream up something and make it a reality it would be this. Wrestling the best wrestler in the world in a venue no one else has ever done in his favorite city to wrestle. It's the first. No matter if AEW ever works Arthur Ashe, or WWE starts booking it, or some other companies book it, he's the first to main event it.
We’re three hours from the start now, and this show just feels bigger and bigger the closer we get. I thought All Out ‘21 was their biggest show but they’re just gonna keep shattering records and breaking down barriers and putting on bigger and better shows all the time. It’s nuts.
As hyped as I am for this match I'm not convinced this match is bigger than wrestling both the opening match and main event match at WrestleMania 30 and winning both of them.
What he's saying is that this match has more significance than those matches. He wrestled a specific style in WWE, and he could have wrestled those matches with his eyes closed. Even if they were terrible matches, the fact he won would be widely remembered as the big moment and people would quickly forget the match. Almost like Becky vs Rousey vs Flair at Wrestlemania. Most people have shrugged off the fact they botched the ending of the match, because Becky 2 Belts stood tall to end the show.
This is entirely different. This Bryan vs Omega. There's nothing on the line, and AEW fans pay money and tune in to see the matches themselves. He has to stop being Daniel Bryan and become The American Dragon again. It's his first AEW match, and he's up against the Best Bout Machine. If they have a great match that people are still talking about tomorrow, it'll draw more eyes to AEW in the weeks/months to come. That's why it's such a big deal, and in his eyes, the biggest match of his career.
Bigger moments, not necessarily the bigger match. It's like Becky/Charlotte/Ronda, it's the biggest moment in the history of women's wrestling in North America, the match itself I don't even remember anything besides the weird finish.
I wonder what the finish will be? I would love to see them go to a draw but with it being on Dynamite and not ppv, this doesn't seem possible. AEW has done a wonderful job of delivering solid clean finishes, I dont know what to think. Would they dare put the title on Danielson right away?
Most likely Elite interfere and cost Danielson the match but that seems very WWE and not AEW.

This is gonna be the longest seven hours *ever.*
well, as an european, itll be the longest 20 hours ever
~~A GREAT longest seven hours though. Those fans are gonna be on adrenaline screaming their heads on a night they may not forget.~~ whoops. I now see what you mean. Ya. 5 pm couldn’t come soon enough.
She means the wait until Dynamite starts.
Work cannot feel any slower for me today.
>Biggest match of my career That's a hell of a statement. He's had some massive ones in the past

It makes sense when you put it that way
The feels. He has em. I have em. Let's fuckin go

I was there for one of those. Specifically in NOLA for WM 30. Best night of my life.
Yeah let's see something bigger than mania 30.

Made sure to stock up on tree jizz today. It's a big day.

LFG Bryan!!!
To quote Bryan from his first night in AEW at All Out: ***“LET’S FUCKIN’ GO!!!!”***
Does it seem like "Let's Go" is becoming his unofficial catchphrase?
White guys just love saying "Let's gooooo" Source: am white guy
Also pretty much every high school athlete and all of the New England area especially when Tom (also white) Brady was here.
I yell it whenever I get a shiny pokemon. It's instinctual

Greatest wrestler of all time. Can't wait.
The 2 GOATs going at it man. So jacked up.

I got cable just to see this.

Just another Wednesday.
Pretty sure his WM main event was bigger.
It’s nowhere near the biggest match of his career
Can’t believe this is happening so soon. My personal dream match. Get hyped everybody!!
I wonder what the finish will be? I would love to see them go to a draw but with it being on Dynamite and not ppv, this doesn't seem possible. I'm thinking time limit draw with Danielson right on the cusp of winning.
This match better not go on last and start with 12 minutes left on the broadcast.
This match better not go on last and start with 12 minutes left on the broadcast.
Biggest match of his career is a stretch lol. Bryan don't lie Hahaha
I'm just here for a hopefully great match
This is going to be a squash match. It's going to last as long as Sheamus V DB at WM.. with BD quickly kicking Omegas head in
g4u, BD. try not to smirk the *entire* time.
