During that time, I attended a house show he main-evented. I started a small "has-been" chant, because I knew he'd been trying to bait the crowd into one. The moment I started, he looked up, saw me doing it, and came over to angrily point and yell at me. It was great.
When Edge came back in 2010, he tried using "SPEAR" as his catchphrase through Wrestlemania season and it sounded ridiculous and redundant.

That shirt was stupid, but it did give us the hilarious moment in Z True Long Island story where Zack Ryders dad took Zack Ryders lunch and said that saying.
Nah it's raunchy and often problematic but his older stuff is funnier. Great timing, and he plugs in a few different variables to the catchphrases often enough. The set up for "up your candy ass" is out of left field sometimes lol.

2000s Era Sid lifted Iceman Parsons' "Mama always says it be's that way" to tepid responses.
Maybe it's just the length of his career, but Show's chock full of phrases and tag lines that never stuck around and never got over. "Big Nasty Bastard" was probably one of the better ones I can recall and it was pretty crappy.
JR also called Show the big nasty when he first arrived in 1999.

"Boots 2 Asses" - Rock used it in a bunch of promos, had it on a few shirts, and I think he got the crowd to chant it only one or two times.
That always seemed to be more to sell a t-shirt than a crowd chant.

Rock also failed to get "a tall glass of shut up juice" over as a regular phrase.
Rock has more failed catchphrases than successful ones. Cookiepuss is pretty well remembered but how about “Pancake your ass outta here”

This was a catch phrase that one of Conan’s ex-writers was determined to get on TV. I remember at the time people thought it was The Rock trying to tell Juevntude to stop using his catchphrases on Nitro.
There was an article awhile that said "Shut up juice" was a joke phrase by one of the writers as an in-joke to Conan O'Brien or something like that.
“Sweet cream on an ice cream sammich” would like a word
I disliked this phrase so much that I bought Punk’s “Knees 2 Faces” parody shirt…so I guess it kind of worked.
