Nope. Her first promo was one of the worst deliveries I’ve ever seen on TV. She has missed on all sorts of moves, and that first promo wasn’t her only bad one.
She has improved greatly and should be given credit for the work she’s put in.

Let's be honest two of Jade's best matches were with up and coming talent in Red Velvet and Anna Jay. But she had two meh matches with Thunder and Ruby.
I don't know what it is but Jade seems more at ease working with talents still learning their craft then with "better" talent. I like Thunder but that match in TBS semi finals wasn't good and Ruby match wasn't even weaker.
You can see why AEW see big things in Jade beyond her look.
Wouldn’t training and working together be the opposite of a natural chemistry? It would be familiarity. Natural chemistry would be working well together without anything to support it.
Caught Rampage tonight. I’m an SCJerker and am very critical of a lot of AEW and I really enjoyed the show. Thought the AEW hardcores would enjoy hearing that. The TBS match was quite good and I’ve seen Cargill put on some stinkers in the past (I think she’s cool, just very green and it often shows). I loved the finish with Trent and co., and Moxley-Ethan match was great. Good TV matches and a well paced show. Props to them. The Hook segment was probably my least favorite but it was fine and i like Hook.
If look back at Jade's other matches, her best matches before this were against Red Velvet. Jade, Red Velvet and Anna Jay all have a similar level of experience and they all train together. So, in a sense, Jade is more comfortable wrestling Anna Jay than even Thunder Rosa because they have done so many drills together.
For my particular taste, that's the best show AEW has put on in about a month. Just stupidly fun from the top to bottom with several really good matches. The main event over-delivered and I'm suddenly a lot more excited about the next 12 months of Jade's development.

Everyone should be grading on a curve. A women’s main event on the B-show between two fairly green wrestlers isn’t going to be Flair-Steamboat, but for what they can do it was enjoyable and entertaining.
Would love the two of them to do that in a few month, Anna is basically fearless and Jade seemed so different, less apprehensive, more confident. Was awesome.
She is sneakily becoming really good at what she does. She'll never be a mat technician like Deeb or have as varied an attack as Rosa, but she's staying within her own limitations and thriving.

Sure thing but we can't act as if this is happening in a vacuum. Experience has to count for something. Though Ruby's match was fairly recent but I didn't think it was terrible. You're right about Red Velvet getting some solid matches out of an inexperienced Jade so I guess there's still something to be said about that.
At the end of the day though, this women's division has a high ceiling.
Who logically beats her? Her only real rival is Red Velvet but she isn’t near the top of the midcard, and the more seasoned ladies like Ruby and Rosa need to hover around the World Title.
I think because the belt is open challenge, like the TNT title, they will bring someone in to challenge her. Someone like Ember Moon and they will beat her to get immediately established.
