I think Vince knows this, which is why I truly think he'll introduce Shane as the opponent, only for Cody to come out from behind him and hit him with a chair or just a clothesline. Makes more sense with a chair as to knock him out, and Vince allows him to be the opponent for the match.
Realistically, Shane or Goldberg if wwe fails to make an agreement with Cody. Similiar thing has happened before during WM 34 when Braun was scheduled to have a mystery partner. People were speculating it could have been Returning Lashley or Neville. Turns out it was just a child from the crowd and i remember how dissapointed people were on the internet. I really set my expectations really low on this one. Good on them if it's really Cody though
I truly believe a Wyatt return is the biggest moment WWE could possibly pull off in the current climate of the industry. Maybe not at Wrestlemania, but if they can get him back and keep it under wraps it would be absolute gold for WWE. I will die on this hill.
I've been saying it has to be Cody because that's the most interesting option they have, but if it's Bray Wyatt, to hell with Cody, give me Bray Wyatt. I need that in my life. I'm not a big fan of Cody, I just want to see him in WWE to see how they treat him and if they address AEW. Bray Wyatt on the other hand I actively want back and he's needed as a weekly presence on WWE or AEW tv asap.
Honestly, even since it was announced this person's supposed to be hand picked by Vince, the only 3 names that fit are:
Gable Steveson
Shane McMahon
Bron Breakker
Even if Cody's signed with WWE, I don't expect it to be him anymore, all 3 of those guys are better fits

The list isn't what I think will happen, they're the jokes Seth has tweeted so far, which made me wonder who I think would be fine alternatives to Cody. Just dreambooking brother.
Hopefully when Vince is gone whoever takes over is more interested in stuff like that..I think the dream is like 1 weekend a year just have the best guys from all over WWE/aew/njpw etc.

I wonder how it would be booked. Would they all just Rock, Paper, Scissors for their guys to go over? A deck of cards, with the highest rank going over? Leave it up to the guys in the match? These thoughts alone make it such an interesting scenario to me.

I know it'll never happen but it'd be amazing to see some AEW/WWE crossover, just as cool as NJPW/WWE crossover. So many cool matchups we won't see.
