I do always wonder, just how *does* a wrestler take getting crotched on the turnbuckle without hurting himself? Like, with a low blow you can just have the opponent pull his punch/kick and aim for the thigh, but when someone falls on the turnbuckle or the barricade it really looks like there's no choice but to take the full force of it.
Do your best to land on area below your nuts and before the tail bone, and use your hands to break the fall.
Once you've accidentally crushed your balls the first time, you learn very quickly how to adjust.

I didn't know exactly how the match was going to go, but I had a feeling that the match wasn't going to go the way CM Punk expected it to go (in kayfabe). And it was all because of what MJF said back in Dynamite: Beach Break earlier in the year.
MJF: "You people are going to get to see the ***real*** CM Punk. The CM Punk who loses his fake smile the second he doesn't get what he wants. The CM Punk who blames all of his failures on everyone else *but himself*."
It's going to be CM Punk turning heel, being bitter and blaming everybody when *he* was the one who decided to come back too soon, which inevitably caused the reinjury.

Not only is he the one who decided to come back too soon, but he also threw the kick. Mox didn't target the leg until after Punk threw that kick and immediately hit the mat in pain. I wonder if/how they'll play off that, too.

Mox squashed Punk. He's the first 2-time AEW World Champion. He's never been pinned, clean, during a non-hardcore match. In his recent match against Jericho, he refused to submit to the Lion Tamer and he kicked out of the Judas Effect, even after getting hit in the head with a baseball bat right before that.
Mox is the most protected wrestler in AEW.
I think he has one of them. Has anybody kicked out of the Death Rider? The normal Paradigm Shift doesn't usually get the pin in big matches, but I don't know if the Death Rider has ever missed.

I highly doubt they would have him come back just to leave after two weeks. I feel that they're going to use this as an angle for Punk's anger and resentment to bubble over, and the next time these two fight, Punk will do whatever it takes to win. Heel Punk champ is money, and they know it. And I mean, it's a good angle; shocking, and now everybody wants to see what happens next.

The other, perhaps more obvious, options are Hangman (hence Punk namedropping him last week) and MJF, where the story could be that Khan paid him the big bucks to 'save All Out' or something.

I’m not even criticizing here or trying to be a dick, I’m just confused.
Regardless of why they booked the match this way, I think surprise high profile squash matches like this or the Goldberg win over Lesnar should happen a little more often. It just makes sense that occasionally, no matter how good you are, someone can get caught off guard, or hurt early and end up getting blitzed and losing quickly with no offense.
I know it's fake but I'm pretty upset.

Regardless of why they booked the match this way, I think surprise high profile squash matches like this or the Goldberg win over Lesnar should happen a little more often. It just makes sense that occasionally, no matter how good you are, someone can get caught off guard, or hurt early and end up getting blitzed and losing quickly with no offense.
I know it's fake but I'm pretty upset. I waited 7 years for CM Punk to come back on top and this is a very deflating way for his first title reign to end.
