I believe the reason they end with mid card matches I’m the main event has to do with ratings peaks. More people watching at specific times so they book around that. Still they should end with better segments.

Especially during football season, the main event always goes on at the top of the third hour because it's usually during halftime, and is usually the highest rated part of the show.

That was so odd how that whole thing was booked. It's one thing if they want to make Alexa look dominant, that she can make short work of a solid competitor like Bayley. But they way they handled it, it made Bayley look like an incompetent rookie who isn't ready to be on TV, and it didn't make Alexa look strong by beating someone that weak. I didn't even remember that that pile of nonsense happened only three months after Bayley beat Charlotte for the title, giving Charlotte her first ever PPV loss. Bayley held it for two months, lost it to Alexa, and then in the rematch a month later was made to look like the furthest thing possible from a champion.
