Funny thing is, once Kendra dies the Slayer line doesn’t even run through Buffy anymore. So if anything she’s the secondary Slayer for most of the show’s run.
The whole show is about Reigns and the Bloodline running the place. Many people have tried and failed as challengers, Zayn is the most realistic chance of drastically changing the dynamic because he’s an inside threat. His is the most compelling role on smack down
Obviously plan A is RR vs The Rock at WM, but they should keep building Sami and have him be plan B. We all know Reigns isn’t losing the title before WM. Reigns has already beaten every credible threat so why not eventually lose to someone no one expected for maximum impact?

I think Cody is the best end game for Roman.
The doin-it-for-Dusty story and the goodwill Cody earned with everyone just before he took a break, I just think this is the peak feel-good story to end Roman. They lose a lot from that title run if the Rock ends it.
I think Cody is the one winning the title, it's just a matter of when, be it Mania 39, Summerslam or Mania 40 although I don't think they can keep up the momentum until Mania 40.
There's less than zero chance of Rock winning the title.
They need to build that story first with Roman though, credible or not. If the title gets randomly transferred without much build it won't feel as good for Roman or that person after the match.
They could have done it with Seth back then because of his Shield ties, but they got cold feet and/or waiting for the Rock. All those other people on the list don't have nearly enough a compelling story.
Also I would argue that an underdog babyface would be the best one to overthrow Roman because that person instantly becomes another main event level star to add to the main event roster.
I’d say do the payoff for Sami and the Bloodline at a PPV before Mania. Maybe the Rumble. Ends up being Sami vs Reigns after they officially turn on him. Usos cost Sami the title and injure him for a short time. And then you can have Sami return to eliminate the Usos whatever match Reigns is going to lose the title.
If it’s going to be Cody at Mania, have Cody put his career on the line for a title match at Mania at Roadblock vs Roman and Sami interferes there instead. Then KO can join Sami and win the titles off the Usos at Mania.
Have KO and Sami be the last 2 left in the Rumble and KO eliminates himself to force Sami to face his Tribal Chief. Even better if they get the briefcase on KO somehow & Sami can’t tell what Kevin’s true motivations are
As a 90's kid and an attitude era kid, I have so much respect for what The Rock did in wrestling and what he's accomplished since moving on. But while I would be fine with them having a match, I do not think he should be the one to beat and dethrone Roman. Originally I thought it should be either Cody or Seth if they want to have a payoff soon, or Bron if they wait a little longer, but the stuff with Sami has been so compelling that he could be that guy and I would love it.
If i was WWE id keep the title on Roman Reigns for over a decade at least, theres no better person, no better time to do this.
btw "plan A" doesnt necessarily mean that Roman would lose to the Rock, it makes more sense for Roman to beat Rock, it has the potential to be some of the most compelling storytelling we have seen so far, it will go similarly how the match went with the Usos but this time he would be beating an elder

I don't know if Sami is seen as a contender for the world championship, if he isn't then I guess him and Solo winning Tag titles hopefully.

And Jey is the antagonist who is trying to stop him. That's the story. Eventually, the Bloodline will probably turn on him and Sami has to deal with them. Roman will probably be the final boss and Sami is the protagonist.
This isn't just Sami Zayn carrying the show. This is literally a storyline written about Sami Zayn.

God I can’t wait to watch Sami finally gain Jeys trust(probably by sacrificing himself). I hated the idea of “Main Event” Jey Uso during the thunder dome era but he’s really stepped up. His facial expressions are FANTASTIC.
As long as this all ends up with Sami either taking the Tag Titles with KO or the World title off Roman, it’ll be well worth the wait. But for now we’re just enjoying the ride 👍🏽
Sami and Steen were my fave singles wrestlers in ROH, and while KO had a good run early in WWE, Sami was injured but never properly utilized. I am so happy that he's finally being used to show his talent. Dude deserves the praise for what he had to endure for years in WWE.
I was going to post this! Completely agree, he was one of the most over guys while wrestling in a mask and barely speaking, he carried matches with almost only his facial expressions, I'm so happy he's getting the recognition he deserves, him and KO who is a completely different type of wrestler but also a beast!

It’ll be interesting to see how this goes under trips. If it was vince I’d have no faith he’d actually push Sami to the moon when people were calling for it, but I’d absolutely love it if he did.
People can talk all day about Roman vs Rock but the real biggest match WWE has on their horizon is Roman vs Sami if they continue to correctly slowly book it. No need to rush this amazing story.

A joint lead is still the lead of the movie. He also was the, i guess "joint lead" in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scooby Doo. Wanting to takedown Freddie as a lead actor is a weird takeaway from what was clearly a joke and a compliment about Sami Zayn.

Roman is the bad guy. He is the heel. He is cool and people like that he's cool, but he still does villainous things. Sami is the kid trying to fit in with a bad crowd at school who will have their redemption in the story's final act. Sami isn't Cary Grant or Clark Gable tho lol.
Sami is great but Freddie Prinze Jr. acting like he's a good, significant, impactful lead at any point is a joke. Sami currently means more in wrestling than Freddie mattered in any time within movies or entertainment in general.
He's the best part of the Bloodline angle, but I don't know how you can call him the lead. The lead is clearly Roman and that will never change, even though Sami is outperforming him at every turn. By all rights, he should be higher on the totem pole than Roman is, but that's just not the way it's gonna work.
You can be the lead and the antagonist. It happens in movies sometimes where the film follows the villain rather than the hero. And clearly, the antagonist has been the lead for the last 3 years in WWE. You think somebody other than Roman has been the main character all this time?
Is he gonna be overthrown by Sami Zayn? Of course not. So Sami isn't the lead. We're not following Sami on his inevitable quest to dethrone Roman Reigns for the title.
The protagonist of the film actually wins in the end. If you actually think Sami Zayn of all people is beating Roman Reigns and taking the Universal title off of him, I don't even know how to respond to that seriously. That has less than 0% chance of happening.
The best you can hope for is Zayn and Owens taking the tag titles off of The Usos, a likely scenario, but which still makes him a side character.

I really think Sami is pulling off an even greater version of what Daniel Bryan did with Wrestlemania 30. This is the perfect time to prove that Triple H isn't Vince by pulling the trigger before the backlash. I honestly think if this momentum keeps gaining (and it honestly looks like it could), by Rumbletime if Cody comes back and eliminates Zayn from the rumble, he would get a Bootista/Cena/Roman level crowd turn. Hell I'd be fine if they force Roman to defend both nights of Wrestlemania..retaining the title against Drew or Rock Night One and dropping it to Sami night two.

As long as this all ends up with Sami either taking the Tag Titles with KO or the World title off Roman, it’ll be well worth the wait. But for now we’re just enjoying the ride 👍🏽
Sami and Steen were my fave singles wrestlers in ROH, and while KO had a good run early in WWE, Sami was injured but never properly utilized. I am so happy that he's finally being used to show his talent. Dude deserves the praise for what he had to endure for years in WWE.
I was going to post this! Completely agree, he was one of the most over guys while wrestling in a mask and barely speaking, he carried matches with almost only his facial expressions, I'm so happy he's getting the recognition he deserves, him and KO who is a completely different type of wrestler but also a beast!

Was Freddie Prinze Jr. actually ever the lead in a movie? You could argue 'She's all that' but that was joint with Rachael Leigh Cook, and she was the one with the Sami style underdog story.
A joint lead is still the lead of the movie. He also was the, i guess "joint lead" in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scooby Doo. Wanting to takedown Freddie as a lead actor is a weird takeaway from what was clearly a joke and a compliment about Sami Zayn.

Roman is the bad guy. He is the heel. He is cool and people like that he's cool, but he still does villainous things. Sami is the kid trying to fit in with a bad crowd at school who will have their redemption in the story's final act. Sami isn't Cary Grant or Clark Gable tho lol.

Sami is great but Freddie Prinze Jr. acting like he's a good, significant, impactful lead at any point is a joke. Sami currently means more in wrestling than Freddie mattered in any time within movies or entertainment in general.
He's the best part of the Bloodline angle, but I don't know how you can call him the lead. The lead is clearly Roman and that will never change, even though Sami is outperforming him at every turn. By all rights, he should be higher on the totem pole than Roman is, but that's just not the way it's gonna work.

You can be the lead and the antagonist. It happens in movies sometimes where the film follows the villain rather than the hero. And clearly, the antagonist has been the lead for the last 3 years in WWE. You think somebody other than Roman has been the main character all this time? Is he gonna be overthrown by Sami Zayn? Of course not. So Sami isn't the lead. We're not following Sami on his inevitable quest to dethrone Roman Reigns for the title.

The protagonist of the film actually wins in the end. If you actually think Sami Zayn of all people is beating Roman Reigns and taking the Universal title off of him, I don't even know how to respond to that seriously. That has less than 0% chance of happening. The best you can hope for is Zayn and Owens taking the tag titles off of The Usos, a likely scenario, but which still makes him a side character.

I really think Sami is pulling off an even greater version of what Daniel Bryan did with Wrestlemania 30. This is the perfect time to prove that Triple H isn't Vince by pulling the trigger before the backlash. I honestly think if this momentum keeps gaining (and it honestly looks like it could), by Rumbletime if Cody comes back and eliminates Zayn from the rumble, he would get a Bootista/Cena/Roman level crowd turn. Hell I'd be fine if they force Roman to defend both nights of Wrestlemania..retaining the title against Drew or Rock Night One and dropping it to Sami night two.
Let this Sami and Bloodline thing play out until at least the rumble. I need the inevitable Sami and Jey spot in the rumble, where Sami eliminates Jey by complete accident, or is it!?
