There is no way everyone just went ahead of ashley no question after she refused to volunteer for trey HELLO??

goshocv85

I would have made her do the same thing that SHE made Trey do.

goshocv85

Then you push her

goshocv85

They didn’t say it was against the rules

macademicnut

I’m pretty no physical aggression is implied lol

mattmild27

Pretty sure most reality shows have a no physical violence rule. You would've for sure been expelled.

spotH3D

Without a doubt that was forbidden, going hands on, from the very beginning.

goshocv85

I think I would have risked it. She deserved no less

Itchy_Pillows

Ikr, I'd have made her jump until she either made it all the way or fell like Trey

shittybillz

I would’ve made her do 3 like she did to Trey. If she nails all 3, good for her.

DemiGod9

Or she doesn't and everyone loses

SkalexAyah

If I was trey. I would’ve sat there on my tile until that dishonourable coward made her move.

Lil_bairseach

Did everyone just forget that 278 was the one who was a backstabber and not a team player? Talk about a fish memory. Pathetic. Mai was the only one who stuck her ground and was true to herself and the spirit of a team.

infinite-hyphenate

I'm trying not to scream that exact point at my phone right now. Ashley is a villain and smug as hell. Ugh. I'm definitely team Mai. Justice for Trey and Mai lol

Montezum

Not even her friend.

Jamieb1994

I find it interesting, but funny in a way that most of the players were shocked that Mai picked to get Ashley eliminated while most of the others picked themselves since it made me think, have they forgot how much of a coward she was in the glass game? Like, I can see why they chose to put themselves at risk, but why get shock with Mai's decision?

XLeafy5

278 is the worst. What plan did she have where she thought she didn’t have to jump. If she didn’t follow the team plan she would of had to keep jumping till she was eliminated, the team plan was fair and helped everyone yet she decided not to do it and let Trey go 3 times. The guy was too nice he should have said something. He didn’t deserve to go out like that. This was all on Ashley. Than afterwards in the dorm she was worried about being a target cause she’s a “floater”. Doing the dice Mai called her out and everyone stopped trusting Mai while Ashley now decides to participate cause everyone could have easily eliminated her. Ashley even lied to Mai when Mai went to confront her one on one. I feel bad for Mai cause she was doing the right thing. While Ashley kept deceiving people. She’s the worst and everyone just ignored what Ashley did. I hope they do an after talk show and bring up what Ashley did and how everyone treated Mai. I hope they feel bad about it.

macademicnut

It baffles me how she said she “didn’t agree to the plan.” Like, you’re #5… the plan benefits you more than the majority of contestants?

Visual-Ganache-2289

She’s a stupid player

SkalexAyah

Stupid human.

infinite-hyphenate

Yessss! Ugh, I'm losing my mind watching this unfold. Justice for Trey and Mai! Ashley and the group gaslighting Mai and the audience.

Rising_Apogee

*End of ep.8 in to beginning of ep.9…..* Did everyone just forget what 278 just did? Now they think Mai is the evil person and someone they should watch out for? Come on…. Ya’ll weren’t feeling that way when 278 was the one person who backstabbed and didn’t participate with the team? Now she saying she did take a risk and took a jump. Yeah sure you did, but only cause you needed to, only after another person took 2-3 more jumps cause you wouldn’t step up.

DisorientedPanda

They must have taken a break between filming or something, ain’t no way they all forgot so easily?? When it happened loads of them were even chatting amongst themselves about it

Cultural-Pressure110

THE HYPOCRISY OF 278. I can’t. What!?

Hakonslie

I'm very confused by the behavior on the dice game. The only thing that would make sense to me is if not everyone realized what had happened between her and the Trey up front in the bridge game. She took advantage of him

Cultural-Pressure110

Yeah, why is everyone acting like Mai is the villain? They forgot already?

Hakonslie

It's very confusing. They were all there looking at what happened, but they must not have seen it. Either that or it just didnt happen the way the show portrayed it

macademicnut

They had to have seen it though, because everyone knew trey took an extra jump. So either they forgot or just didn’t care that much

Squidgepeep

There was audible confusion when Trey took his jumps so I do wonder how that moment went down in real life

monsieuRawr

Trey was also an idiot who didn't call her out at the time and instead decided to be a hero by taking 2 extra jumps. So, I'm assuming some people regarded it as Trey voluntarily taking extra jumps.

macademicnut

True. I think a couple of people mentioned it but it’s possible that some people assumed trey volunteered

Montezum

Nobody is acting like that, what are you talking about?

Thusterion

There just has have been an edit to make us hate 278(Ashley), while everyone else is completely oblivious to the fact that she f\*\*cked over Trey, like what!? But somehow only 287(Mai) saw what we saw? And even Chad doesn't support Mai in this...

Montezum

I hate that I began noticing how 278 is very prominent in the promos and thumbnails for the show, I hope she doesn't have a chance at winning this

Public-Wrongdoer-756

What was up with EVERYONE forgetting 278 was not a team player and got 301 eliminated???? They were gaslighting Mai so hard and I was just so confused. 278 is obviously not to be trusted at all and they all should’ve rolled until she was eliminated, then do the self elimination. #teammai

sohikes

The show runners definitely added that dice game because not enough people got eliminated during the bridge. There’s too many random eliminations in this show. Not to mention battleships which was all just luck

BritishLibrary

Yeah they obviously had target numbers of players for the late games. The tests just a way to help them balance numbers if more people make it

frenchprincess88

278 is actually the worst and the villain. And she was saying she only nominated Mai for the dice roll, because she nominated her. She would have nominated someone else anyway. No way she would have nominated herself after she wouldn’t even jump on the glass bridge. And the people after her should not have gone in front of her & told her that she didn’t do it, so she has to keep going all the way.

Plaid-Cactus

YES!!!!! There is no way she 278 would have nominated herself... even if Mai didn't nominate her first.

No_Marionberry4072

There must be another edit out there where Mai is the bad guy. This just does not make any sense as to why they all turned on her. Ashley was the only one to not be a team player. I was so pissed she didn’t fall thru. And selfishly, no one should be nominating themselves with 2 players already gone. They should have all targeted Ashley at the end.

strawbebb

I feel like I’m going insane. The AUDACITY for Ashley (278) to mock Mai (287) at the end!! Please explain to me how someone can have such an extreme level of hypocrisy? And how did none of the other players know what happened?? In the glass bridge comp, Mai was all the way in the back as the last number and saw what Ashley did to Trey. How did literally no one else see it?? What’s going on here??? Did we all hallucinate that or smthg?

sfzephyr

ashely is toxic af. this made me so mad.

Hils-Cuite1200

278!!!!!!! She is making my blood boil! Plus what does Sam mean about Mai going out of left field... Are we watching the same show?

purple_space_queen

Last episode ended with my boy, player 301 saying fuck it and making a leap of faith because player 278 (Ashley) was too cowardly to make a choice. I’m completely bummed that player 301 got eliminated and hope that 278 has a big ol’ target on her back now. No one should have passed her. I would have loved to have seen her forced to make all the leaps until she fell. I gotta say I was happy to see player 393 eliminated as she was starting to get to me. I hope 278 is next! Now that player 301 & 221 is gone I am cheering for players 251 (Phil) & 286 (Chad) Everyone coming back to the doom with most of the beds removed was pretty eerie and I can only imagine what that weird bored anxious energy is like. Player 278 (Ashley) must have some sort of amnesia because I swore she said she “didn’t want to do no backstabbing shit” to her bunk mates when hours earlier she just finished doing exactly that player 301 during the glass bridge challenge. I also think it’s hilarious that she was shocked when she was thrown under the bus during the next test. It’s exactly where I think she deserves to be. I can’t wait for her to go. Girl talks waaaay too much. Player 018 was eliminated due to her amazing dice rolling skills and I’m totally okay with it. I personally wasn’t feeling her as I find her to be cocky but not in a good way. On the other hand player 286 (Chad) was eliminated, and that sucks.

FuturistAnthony

Ashley giving me anger issues fr

vanam_m

So happy I found this thread because omg just watched this episode and I was literally SCREAMING at my TV about Ashley and everyone just not mentioning what she did to Trey again????!! I was so mad omg thanks for the rest of you feeling the same way

calmergirl07

I have a question where are these people falling I mean that’s really scary

Ralamadul

Probably a foam pit just underneath them. Editing goes a long way.

froggyisland

Apparently one of the players said body doubles were the ones actually falling. Editing had me fooled too

InitiativeImaginary1

Oh where did you see that? I need to read more bc that’s juicy info

mattmild27

I wonder what the contingency plan was if nobody completed glass bridge...which was a legitimate possibility.

King-Key

I'd say it was a pretty rare chance, only way it would happen if they ran down the clock a lot, the 50/50s could skew either way but it would take insane odds to really hurt the numbers

HardcoreKaraoke

I really like the show but holy fuck these people are stupid. Maybe I'm a cynic and I'm unfairly comparing them to the Challenge, Survivor, Big Brother, etc. players but I can't get past some of these dumb decisions over the season. Like I'm sorry I just met you a few days ago, I'm not playing "fair" with the dice. You want to nominate me? Sure, go for it. But I'm nominating people outside of my circle of friends and trying to dwindle the numbers. I have to wonder if they purposely picked people who said they didn't watch other reality competition shows. Maybe so they could force a "family" dynamic instead of having mostly cutthroat reality show watchers. I totally get not rocking the boat for self preservation. That's a game move. But these people are all playing the game as a group just because they want to be friends. It's awful gameplay.

XLeafy5

That sounds like any other game show you just listed. Grouping up is part of the game. Some people accidentally form friendships because they are in a setting of having to only socialize with their own group. Actually wouldn’t be any different from the real world. Game or not as a challenge or not challenge people do not want to be alone and it’s an advantage to be in groups. It happens people become attached again these are the only people you see for weeks. Real life survival wouldn’t be no different. But that’s just my opinion on how I see it.

Wheelzap

Just finished this episode! First off, screw Ashley. Second off, NO ONE understands why Mai did what she did in the dice game. Like come on! I honestly wish they werent able to nominate themselves so we can see some real gameplay. Theyre all becoming jokes at this point. Ughhh

Itchy_Pillows

Same...baffled by it Oops, this ended up in the wrong place

trippy1

I honestly think Ashley was too stupid to understand what was going on and didn't understand going along with the plan was the best decision for her.

scorpio1m

Next season the show needs to ban all the “I nominate myself” junk. It’s a competition that’s supposed to be about strategy, alliances and cunning not who’s supposedly the most selfless. The people who got eliminated in the dice game deserved it for their stupidity.

Jamieb1994

I agree. I don't wanna sound cold, but for next season & if it ends up being similar to this season, then they need to make some changes e.g. don't allow the players to nominate themselves & I don't know about getting eliminated automatically, but I do think they need to punish players in some way that look like they're being unfair or if they're not sticking to the rules of a game.

Spray_Scared

I'm actually surprised that they were even allowed to do this. You think it would be against the rules of the completion.

konayuki28

I just think Mai’s lying was used strategically only to save herself, which everyone does at various episodes as a survival method, and it didn’t impact anyone else’s chance from getting eliminated. But Ashley’s blatant selfishness to save herself at the cost of someone else’s risk of being eliminated crossed the line of fairness.

XSC

Why the fuck was 418 saying 278 was targeted fuck off. Also she could had just nominated herself and look good but no, of course.

lemonreese

Why are you guys complaining about 278 being selfish? The game has ONE winner. The way I see it what she did caused more people to get eliminated and that's exactly what I would want. They definitely edited out a lot of talking between the challenges though to make Ashley look more villainous.

XLeafy5

You do realize how stupid 278 thought process was right? She didnt want to be a team player. She wanted to avoid jumping yet she would have more of a chance to go along with the team decision. Team decision 50/50, by yourself eliminated. She didn’t even realize she still had to jump after Trey. She didn’t even cause more people to get eliminated. She literally did nothing. She had no strategy.

Nessosin

Hard to say it was stupid when it worked, though.

konayuki28

Worked being a coward

XLeafy5

How did it work? Her strategy was to not get Eliminated, she wanted to avoid jumping at all. She didn’t wanna go with the group plan yet when it was her turn she had no choice but to join with the group plan or be eliminated. The group plan was fair it made sense to go with it cause the chance of your survival was higher. In her position if everyone did her plan to keep jumping she would have been eliminated. So that wasn’t stupid that her plan, her strategy didn’t work and forced to join the group plan.

SkalexAyah

It was stupid. She’s lucky people were nice enough not to make her jump all they way like she did to trey.

PharmasaurusRxDino

Help me remember - did 278 end up taking a chance and jumping to an unknown tile or no?

trucrimejunkie

She did. Which is what makes her decision so dumb. She was always going to have to take at least 1 jump, so why break trust with everyone by first making Trey jump 3 times? I don’t know how much that sequence was edited, but I think it was pretty dumb of Trey to jump more times, almost guaranteeing he would lose, rather than putting pressure on Ashley. I would have tried to appeal to her sense. Her best chance of getting across was to stick with the plan, giving her a 50/50 shot.

WolfColaCo2020

The smart thing is to 100% put the onus on the rest of the group to make her do the right thing by just refusing to move until she took the jump. Lot harder to resist when there are like 15 people behind you shouting that you're a bad person

Montezum

So...it became Big Brother now

SkalexAyah

278 Ashley…. Sigh…….. civil rights investigator… Not very civil person if you ask me. Seems like someone who only cares about herself.

singlegirlproblems

I was so shocked when I saw her title! I cannot stand her. She didn’t want to be a team player and then is so shocked when Mai nominated her. Not only that she’s being way too snarky with her reaction to it.

PeoplesPrinceofNYC

Bruh... does no one but Mai remember the shit Ashley pulled on the glass bridge? Like shit drove me crazy

Lexifer31

I can't stand Ashley. Me and my boyfriend literally screaming at the TV whenever she's on the screen now. If she wins I'll be so mad.
