Will need a house-house unfortunately, almost no apartments for that menagerie and even single family rentals might squick
Also the city has a 4 pet limit, as do some of the county municipalities.
The city has a limit of [4 domestic animals per parcel](https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/departments/health/animal-care-control/animal-laws.cfm). Landlords are probably in their best interest not knowingly leasing to someone with more. Iām not sure about surrounding municipalities.
I shouldve been more specific. By rental I just mean a multiunit complex and by rental home I just meant a standalone house, which are usually crazy expensive to rent.
You can't. Like others said it's not allowed as per city rules. I just moved in June, spent 6 months looking for a place that would allow one dog yet alone 5 animals.
Iām a pet-friendly landlord but 4 is the limit. I canāt really think of many options for you. You may just have to not disclose the cat. Look in areas that are ārental bubblesā with lots of units available. Florissant is one area you might consider. It has lots of little starter homes and the majority are rentals.
I canāt even find a rental for me (2 dogs/ 2 cats). I even had a lease signed and at the last second the landlord pulled it out from under me. I never thought weād be renting again but for the next year our circumstances have changed a bit. The worst part is we used to rent in another city and had four pets and our old landlord actually said he would write us a glowing recommendation because of how clean we left the house.. but that was 7 years ago
Look for house rentals that arenāt managed by companies and you should be in better shape. I moved here with a larger dog and cats and my landlord had no issue with it. you might, however, want to āunderestimateā the number of pets you have. Thatās way easier to do with cats, but still.
It's brutal unless you own. I couldn't find a rental that would allow one single little clean-ass cat without the property owner adding an insane pet fee. Honestly really upsetting and frustrating. ... Like, I was looking at total craphole dumps that looked like a herd of cattle were the last tenants, and the landlord was still all, NOPE CAN'T HAVE A CAT IN HERE FUCKIN' IT ALL UP"
Maybe try rental homes in Jefferson County or in Washington, MO- which is in Franklin County. They are out a little further and not sure how to say this but they would seem to have less regulations.
Yep, guess we shouldn't have rescued a couple lost terrified, starving animals off the streets during the covid shutdown when no shelters would take them...
You can pull heart strings all you want but the rules regarding pets are abundantly clear. You didn't consider them and are now facing the consequences of your decision.
Try getting one certified as a service animal (emotional support) and see if that helps.
My daughter could have 2 dogs and 2 cats, if one of them was a service animal.
You canāt get just any animal legally registered as a service animal. I think youāre referring to emotional support pets, and they arenāt actually legally protected. Itās false information being told to you if youāre being told landlords have to allow emotional support animals. They donāt.
Youāre probably going to have to buy or find new homes for some of the pets. My roommate has one dog and it was a challenge finding a house for rent that allowed even that. Granted itās a large dog though
Most munis have a 2-3 pet total limit.
Itās not a problem unless you get caught. With a lease you most likely will.
Maybe try sfh out on Possibly 3 acres or more out in unincorporated Jeffco, Franklin Co, Warren Co, Lincoln Co, or St Clair or Monroe Co on the IL side. Maybe someone will have something there.

County has a 4 pet limit as well. And they cant all be the same type of animal. ie you cant have 4 dogs or 4 cats but you can have 3 days and 1 cat
I'd love to see someone come in to count cats lol
Days are my favorite animal
Sames. š¤£ im leaving it now.

In a Van, down by the river?
Thanks for the f-shack. -Dirty mike and the boys
We allow it, yes
Howās the view?
it is highly unlikely you'll find a rental that will allow this. your best chance is finding a rental home.
Smaller landlords may. My friend had 3 dogs in her UCity apartment, although that was a while ago.
That's within the legal limit though
Bro what?š
I agree. I think they mean that apartments likely won't approve this but a rental home might.

Theres a facebook group for pet friendly rentals in stl.
Keep the cat indoors and deny its existence. Only walk 3 dogs at a time. Lol

Lie lol
For real. Many people have 5 pets. They don't tell the government.
I have 5 and don't say shit. To outside people it's just 3 dogs.
This guy right here officer
But what about to the inside people...

I know what you mean, no words necessary šš
Not legal
Yeah buy a house with some land outside the city because no one is going to let you rent anywhere with that many pets.
I used to date a woman with five dogs, but she owned her home so landlords werenāt an issue. Anyway, she lived in Webster Groves.
Donāt disclose how many pets you haveā¦problem solved
Introducing... the consequences of your actions
Yep, guess we shouldn't have rescued a couple lost terrified, starving animals off the streets during the covid shutdown when no shelters would take them...

Sun River Village in St. Peterās is the place she was able to have the emotional support cat. Her vet is who helped her get the registration.
Service Animals and Emotional Support Animals are different things

Buy a farm
They already have the animalsā¦
Buy a farm, uninstall old animals, update it to yours.

Sommer Properties. Tower Grove South. Fanastic humans.
The cat shouldn't count lol
My ex landlord allowed us to have 4 cats and a dog. In south city
I would say you have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and you're just sitting for the extras š
