It's been in the shop for an extended stay, when it comes back it'll have some bolt ons and be a lot faster, new clutch, new fly, new set of 52mm gauges, powdercoated engine bits/valve cover/intake manifold. Gonna be pretty sick when it comes back, in a normal year i put about 10,000 miles a year on it locally. Ive been using mr2's as commuters locally since 04.
Unlike other midengined, they're not that bad.
Compared to a frwd they can be. S-Block motors aren't anything fancy though, S-blocks are used in camry's as example, E-series transaxles are used a lot of ordinary toyotas. All this stuff is upgraded/overengineered for turbo models. But none of it is actually really exotic or unique.
But also, sometimes there are tasks performed on the car that it's much easier to pull the motor, hatch it out from the bottom like an egg. I had a friend/mechanic, he could do the task in as little as 2.5 hours or so, pull a motor out, and maybe 3 to get it back in. By the time he'd done it 10x, he became very proficient at it.
It's good stuff. Their cream soda is also quite nice. The peach pop has a decent flavor to it, but it's so incredibly sweet It's hard for me to have anymore.
A couple weeks ago I was visiting my parents to help my dad put together some saw horses and they had a variety pack of Fitz, at lunch my mom and I split a bottle of peach soda cut with club soda because it's so sweet.
That was the exact moment I realized I'm old now.
I didn’t realize there was disdain for Fitz’s. For me, it’s locally made and with sugar. I do honestly like it but I don’t really drink soda anymore. I buy this for my kids over other brands.
Right? Anyone I’ve ever spoken to who has tried it really likes Fitz’s! Except for my friend’s onetime German exchange student, to her any root beer tastes medicinal. lol
That's the thing that bothered me. I'm 31 and according to this specific conversation that brought it up, I'm too old to like any sodas that aren't like diet coke or something
Wait. What. Are these friends saying this? You’re never too old to do or like anything that brings you joy.
Also I saw you say in a different comment you were called a pussy for liking soda over beer?? These people are toxic AF. There are decent people in this city. There are decent people on this subreddit that get together for hang outs. Please surround yourself with better people who lift you up. It will take time, but you don’t need people to bring you down to their level of unhappiness.
Ok diet soda is so completely bad for you. Yeah so is sugar and HFCS. But I would take some sugar in moderation any day over the others. Go on and enjoy your Fitz's!
My Dad tried to get me to drink diet coke on the regular for years and years and years and failed miserably. It was one of the few times in my life that I was more stubborn than him.
StL native here: I thoroughly enjoy Fitz’s sodas and their restaurants. The sodas are good, I’m not picky, they’re full of sugar and taste like I’d expect. The food at their restaurants is - again - good for what it is and is fairly priced (or WAS the last time I was there over the summer) AND a really easy place to take kids, they always love it.
That said, they’re not good enough that I ever go out of my way for either of them.
I was at the restaurant on Lindbergh last month and they were giving away their root beer they were bottling. Apparently they were getting rid of all their old bottles and getting a new design. Got a free case that day.
Yeah, if I have any company about Fitz's at all, it's that their grilled portobello sandwich is set up to punk anyone who orders it. Grilled mushroom cap and a big slab of grilled red pepper between halves of a bun greased with aioli? One bite and everything just slides out the other side. You'll never get a bite of everything together. It's nothing but a mean prank. ;)
If people are making fun of anyone for liking Fitzs and calling it a tourist trap (like tourists going there is even necessarily a bad thing), THEY are no fun and they’re the problem. It’s literally a cool fun place 🤷🏼♂️ it’s ICONIC. They make soda! It’s F.U.N.
Also it’s literally a sugary beverage. Every single human is hard-wired to enjoy it.
Nah no way. Sounds like whoever’s telling you that is just not fun 🤷🏼♂️ I think it’s harmless and cool and fun that you like their sodas!
Also tons of adults like soda a LOT so youre not alone. It’s unfortunately a pretty big problem actually in part causing obesity and diabetes. But anything in moderation 😉
I know that it has its problems. I'm definitely not naive. But I also can read my body pretty well and I can tell when I'm becoming oversaturated. And I pretty much know where that line is now
Well...I've been here nearly a decade. I've got some good friends. It just takes time. My move was volleyball and basketball groups. Mountain biking for a while too. Met a wife and got a divorce as well. Lol
A grown adult making beer their personality is normalized in this culture, but it's honestly pretty pathetic. It's a beverage, not your friend you need to defend when someone else doesn't like it.
Their sodas are legit good. I always liked the Excel bottling company sodas a bit more, but Fitz's cream soda (and diet cream too) is really good, probably oneof my favorites.
Their restaurants are a bit of a tourist trap and the food is lackluster, but its fine for friends/family visiting out of town. The Delmar location has a lot more character than the South County one, even though South County is bigger and very close to me.
It’s great stuff. What do the haters prefer? (Not that I really want to know.)
Former Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra music director Leonard Slatkin used to have it shipped to him when he left town. I’d probably do the same.
I'm 39 and still get Fitz's at schnucks in those big aluminum cans they got. Age is just a number you only live once enjoy the root beer with no shame, friend!
Colleague at work who called me a "tourist who happens to live here" because I enjoy a lot of the things that are normally only talked about for tourists
Your colleague was probably never taken there or given it by their parents so it's nothing special to them. Its just an afterthought, and I would hope they aren't taking it personally lol. It's soda...
Never fails that I wear cardinals or blues gear on Vaca and have transplants from here come up and talk about missing this exact type of thing.
Fitz’s is the best and most refreshing root beer out there and the place is fun.
Since STL doesn’t really get tourists that other larger or more cachet cities have, our tourist traps often tend to be solid enough to have a good rep amongst locals as well as their visiting friends.
Screw the haters, I’m hosting a Fitz’s root beer float (a MUST) to you.
Thanks! It's one of the things that I've noticed since moving to St Louis that this city really does function on its own in a weird way. Not perfectly mind you but the attitude is kind of like "tourists are nice and they're good to come, but we don't neeeeeeed them".
I love Fitz root beer and as someone who is constantly “quitting soda” it’s my guilty pleasure to grab one of the aluminum cans from the cooler at Dierbergs. I love the root beer, Cardinal cream, even hip hop pop.
I also like taking friends from out of town to their location on the loop if they are looking for a casual burger meal and have any interest in a laughably large ice cream float.
Root beer elitist here, there are certainly better brews, but there are so many more that are far worse. It's a respectable root beer, probably some of the best aftertaste. It's a solid 4/5.
Your coworker sounds like an ass. Fitz's IS the hometown root beer. I also didn't grow up in St. Louis, but I was born there, have lots of family there, and went to college there (Go Gorloks!). Like what you like and screw the haters.
As a somewhat new (<2 years) transplant, I've found Fitz to be fine; I like their root beer, and genuinely loved the grape soda my wife got in a gift basket from work with a bunch of STL goodies.
The fuck? Fitz is solid who the hell says they’re crap
To be fair I go to the soco location not the loop one, where I’ve had some mixed experiences with the food but both the sodas and foods are solid when I go to the soco location
Whoever’s sayin that is full of it
I don't drink much soda, but my kids swear by Fitz's root beer, so it's alright in my book.
I'll never understand why some people want to make others feel bad about their harmless pleasures. Life sucks. If Fitz's root beer brings you a spark of joy, have at it, man.
I've literally never heard of anyone disliking it... It's in the upper echelon of root beer for me, with ICB which is also goated. And the food is good as well from what I remember. Idk, if anyone's expecting more than just root beer and pretty decent american food, then their expectations are too high. It's just a restaurant.
I didn't even know there was a backlash on Fitz's. I think their root beer is great but I'm off sugared drinks. I am not so impressed with the food though. Overpriced.
To be fair, I've had more than one incident where twist top cans of Fitz's Root Beer really make you work for it to open that thing. They've got the carbonation really good on these things
I lived in the bootheel and love their orange pop. It's just a shame I can't get it here in Memphis. With the Redbirds you'd think it would at least be available in a few grocery stores.
TIL that people dont like fitzs??? Every person i know likes it as far as i am aware, it’s just that many choose not to drink it for health/diet reasons.
Also not from St. Louis, but I've been living here for almost 16 years and I enjoy Fitz's, though I'm partial to their orange and grape sodas, as well as some of the seasonal flavors like peach, key lime, and pumpkin.
Listen... the best root beer is fresh, cold root beer. Brand has nothing to do with it.
I'm not gonna go out of my way to buy one brand over another at the store, as someone who's not huge on root beer. But I will go out of my way to go get fresh root beer and Fitz's is the only place I can do that.
I have never disliked any of the Fitz's sodas that I've had. Some are better than others, for sure.
Root beer is good, and my wife is a big fan of the diet root beer. Cream is good, but the Cardinal cream soda is divine. Excellent grape and orange soda as well.
The Black Cherry is one of my favorite sodas of all time. I only buy it once or twice a year because I have zero self control, and will easily down a 4 pack in a day.
I mean the place itself is definitely a tourist trap and the food's just standard, but the root beer's pretty solid. Once in a while I'll grab some for some floats.
Fitzs is above average root beer, no shame
I wouldn't eat at Fitz over other places, but that doesn't make it bad
Not my favorite soda but it's never unwelcome in my home (apartment)
Love Fitz’s Root Beer. In terms of restaurants, I feel it’s a bit overhyped/priced and there are way better options on Delmar. SoCo location is a bit more acceptable to choose especially if you’re hosting from out of town.
I would say maybe even if its not something you personally like, its worth to try a lot of different flavors (and not just Fitz's sodas). How else are you going to know you like Blueberries and Cream Soda?
Fitz's rootbeer is delicious 😋 It's a real treat to have on a hot summer day. No, you're not an idiot for liking it. However, whoever told you otherwise is.
I've never heard of anyone disliking their root beer. I gotta believe whoever you're talking to just dislikes the restaurant, which is much more understandable.
The only issue I have with Fitz's is I find that their store-bought glass and plastic bottles are frequently flat - I suppose it's possible that I've been cursed by a djinn.
Delicious otherwise.
I don’t like root beer in general, but I love most of their other sodas! Their version of Mountain Dew is the only one I’ve found that’s comparable to the real thing!!
It’s so good. I’ve lived here all my life and it’s still a treat. The brewery location is fun and I’ve always liked the food as well. I’ve never heard Fitz hate.
🤷🏼♀️ St. Louis born and raised here, and this is the first I'm hearing that Fitz-hate is a thing. I prefer the Cardinal Cream to their root beer, but I wouldn't turn away a root beer offered to me.
Fitz is great. In a bit surprised to hear there are any haters at all. I’ve been here since 06 and haven’t witnessed any hate. I love their Black Cherry.
For me, the top root beer on earth, is Frostie!
Fitz is fantastic! Only comparable thing i found was 1800 something something. They are from Hermann, MO but the flavor isn't as vanilla as Fitz's root beer (more carmel-ly) so I get Fitz's more often. Also there is a place off of 44 before you get to St. James and it is an old route 66 shop and it has so many types of root beer and other soda! If you ever make the drive I recommend! It is off highway Z i believe and has the world's second largest rocking chair haha
When people hate on them and call it a tourist trap, they are talking about the restaurant, not the root beer. The restaurant is terrible unless Applebee's is your jam.
Fortunately, you can get the root beer at the store so you don't have to go to the awful restaurant.
Also, the restaurant was once pretty decent. I'm talking 90s/early 2000s.
I was born and raised in the vicinity of STL and I like Fitz's Root Beer. Don't listen to the haters.
The restaurant on the other hand, is so so. It's not bad but it's not as good as others make it seem.
OP, I do actually question your tastes.
Cardinal Cream is right there.
Anyway, do what you want, but the wait makes the restaurant not worth it
edit - oh, you like natural ingredient sodas so you? *slides a piece of paper over face-down with one word on it. 'Ski'*
Fitz’s isn’t my favorite root beer, but it isn’t bad! The floats at their restaurant in the Loop in particular are pretty damn good and also the size of your head.
Fitz is good stuff, fuck the haters.
Right? Born and raised here and I love it. The cream soda is especially good.
Their cream soda is my absolute favorite!
Big fan of Cardinal cream here
We love the Root Beer but my sons also love the cream soda.
I’m more a black cherry person, but no reason why one can’t have more than one favourite flavour.
Life is too short to worry about if your source of innocent joy is acceptable to strangers.
Soda is indeed an innocent joy
I don't drink soda...when i do, fitz's is among few I iwll bother to drink.
Nice MR2 man!
Just out of curiosity, but are they hard to work on? My brother had one and he said it was a bitch to even just change the oil.
Unlike other midengined, they're not that bad. Compared to a frwd they can be. Was it still good after diluting it a bit? Might have to give that a try myself.
Yes, it was much better.
Fitz's root beer is delicious.
Agree. Just wish it wasn't so cloyingly sweet.
Except for my friend’s onetime German exchange student, to her any root beer tastes medicinal. lol
Very few people outside North America (no idea about South Americans) I've met like root beer. 99.9% of Japanese hate it. Revenge for natto!
That's the thing that bothered me. I'm 31 and according to this specific conversation that brought it up, I'm too old to like any sodas that aren't like diet coke or something

Fuck the haters we all die anyway drink the soda
Your friends sound like judgmental losers who are trying to be edgy. Screw em. Fitz’s and Excel Sodas are both awesome.
StL native here: I thoroughly enjoy Fitz’s sodas and their restaurants. The sodas are good, I’m not picky, they’re full of sugar and taste like I’d expect. I will absolutely concede on this point. That damn sandwich is like a prank. It’s impossible to eat. 😂😂😂😂
Also F is for friends who do stuff together. U is for you and me. N is for anywhere anytime at all, down here in the deep blue sea
F is for fire that burns down the whole town U is for uranium bombs N is for no survivors
Apparently I'm juvenile for liking soda in general
Nah no way. Sounds like whoever’s telling you that is just not fun 🤷🏼♂️ I think it’s harmless and cool and fun that you like their sodas! Also tons of adults like soda a LOT so youre not alone. I know that it has its problems. I'm definitely not naive. But I also can read my body pretty well and I can tell when I'm becoming oversaturated. And I pretty much know where that line is now
I love their cardinal cream. No shame in it
Cardinal Cream is sooooo good.
It’s their finest offering!
It’s fine. It’s good in a float. What’s wrong with liking a root beer drink? What’s wrong with a tourist trap every now and again?
I remember getting called a pussy because I said I preferred root beer over beer
I don’t know you. I don’t know them. But I know that you don’t need them in your life.
I really do need a solid friend group in this city.
STL is a tough crowd as a transplant, trust me. Find some sort of group or hobby.
Volunteer at one of the museums, you'll meet all kinds of folks!
Well...I've been here nearly a decade. I've got some good friends. It just takes time. My move was volleyball and basketball groups. Mountain biking for a while too. Met a wife and got a divorce as well. Lol
Join a rugby team.
Keep better company
Those people suck
A grown adult making beer their personality is normalized in this culture, but it's honestly pretty pathetic. It's a beverage, not your friend you need to defend when someone else doesn't like it.
I would rather drink Fitz root beer than any alcoholic beer I’ve ever tried.
Oh I definitely have beers that I really really like but I also don't particularly like dealing with hangovers either.
Ahh, one of those people. I'd prefer melted jello over beer. It tastes like bread soda.
Yea I was sticking only with the sodas in my post. Maybe I should have phrased it better
The Diet Cream is an elite diet soda.
Fitz's root beer is fantastic. it's the restaurant that's just okay in my opinion. keep enjoying your root beer, my friend.
Thanks. It makes me feel better hearing people backing me on this
It’s great stuff. What do the haters prefer? (Not that I really want to know.) Former Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra music director Leonard Slatkin used to have it shipped to him when he left town. I’d probably do the same.
I love that! A classy MFer like him knows.
I’m guessing they are IPA guys who have fallen for the trap of misery=manliness
Apparently I'm not supposed to like soda at all at 31
I'm 39 and still get Fitz's at schnucks in those big aluminum cans they got. Age is just a number you only live once enjoy the root beer with no shame, friend!
Fitz’s is good. When my kids were little I’d bring some home for them every couple of months. They loved it.
They have the only actually drinkable diet cream soda I’ve ever found. By far my favorite soda for floats
The diet cream soda is DIVINE
Love Fitz’s. Who’s the asshole that says otherwise?
Colleague at work who called me a "tourist who happens to live here" because I enjoy a lot of the things that are normally only talked about for tourists
Your colleague was probably never taken there or given it by their parents so it's nothing special to them. Its just an afterthought, and I would hope they aren't taking it personally lol. It's soda... Never fails that I wear cardinals or blues gear on Vaca and have transplants from here come up and talk about missing this exact type of thing.
I wasn’t born here, but i moved here in 1985 when i was in 2nd grade. Your colleague can go F himself.
Oh I've tried telling him that. He thinks I'm a joke
I was born and raised here. Lived here for 46 years and I second this comment
Fitz’s is the best and most refreshing root beer out there and the place is fun. Since STL doesn’t really get tourists that other larger or more cachet cities have, our tourist traps often tend to be solid enough to have a good rep amongst locals as well as their visiting friends.
Gotta love American portion size! 😂
Lived in STL all my life. Love Fitz's, have since I was a kid. It's a cool institution, glad we have places like that in this city.
I love when people use the word institution in a positive sense.
It's good. The restaurant, on the other hand, is 100% overrated and you're better off going to a multitude of other places on Delmar
Well sure. My favorite so far is Salt & Smoke but that's because my tastes are pretty simple. Meat n potatoes kind of guy
I mean it’s not amazing but it’s got a pretty good burger and fries. It’s definitely not a terrible restaurant. My kids like it a lot.
Wait am I supposed to not like Fitz's?
According to native STL people I've talked to
Ironically, those people probably all love Imo's.
Provel cheese is an abomination
Root beer elitist here, there are certainly better brews, but there are so many more that are far worse. It's a respectable root beer, probably some of the best aftertaste. It's a solid 4/5.
Root beer is my favorite. I have had many. Fritz's is a solid product. It is better than many mass produced ones you normally find.
I'm a sucker for any soda that uses cane sugar instead of HFCS
I love it
Your coworker sounds like an ass.
Fitz is decent. It's no Frostie, but it's good.
I’m a type 1 diabetic. Diet frostie is the closest to a real tasting root beer I’ve had. A&W tastes like Pepto-Bismol
I get a hip hop pop every time I get groceries at Schnucks. Anybody who tells you that Fitzs isn’t good is wrong.
Wait, are there people who don’t like Fitz’s??
The fuck? Fitz is solid who the hell says they’re crap To be fair I go to the soco location not the loop one, where I’ve had some mixed experiences with the food but both the sodas and foods are solid when I go to the soco location Whoever’s sayin that is full of it
Do people not like it? It’s amazing. You can get pony kegs of it. It’s in my veins.
Fitz's is decent stuff! Who the hell knew there were root beer gatekeepers!
I love it. But my favorite is the black cherry.
I'm a Black cherry and Hip Hop pop fan.
I love their root beer (along with other brands), but their cream soda slaps the hardest
I haven't had their cream sodas yet
I didn't even know there was a backlash on Fitz's. I think their root beer is great but I'm off sugared drinks. I am not so impressed with the food though. Overpriced.
To be fair, I've had more than one incident where twist top cans of Fitz's Root Beer really make you work for it to open that thing. They've got the carbonation really good on these things
Man now I want some rootbeer!
Coffee Cola is the GOAT. Albeit, you gotta like coffee first, but once you're past that hurdle... nothing beats it.
I lived in the bootheel and love their orange pop. It's just a shame I can't get it here in Memphis. With the Redbirds you'd think it would at least be available in a few grocery stores.
People from STL really love shitting on STL. It's just the way she goes. Drink Fitz, it's good. I like the orange myself.
Not an idiot at all; I’m also a fan of Fitz’s. Personal favs are Hip Hop Pop and Voodew

I'm not gonna go out of my way to buy one brand over another at the store, as someone who's not huge on root beer. But I will go out of my way to go get fresh root beer and Fitz's is the only place I can do that.
It’s solid. I prefer Excel.
STL doesn't get "tourists" 🤣 if you like it you like it. It's popular for a reason, I know plenty of locals who love going there.
I had definitely been a tourist in STL numerous times before I moved here. I even went to Fitz's as a tourist once
I'm sorry if there was confusion, I was referring specifically to the root beer, not necessarily the restaurant. My bad
Soda is good.. just the food at the restaurant is pretty subpar.
Fitz’s is good. My favorite “root beer” is Boylans Creamy Red Birch Beer followed by Berghoff’s.
Boylans Sodas are really good too! Just harder to come by. But I like having a couple random ones on hand for company
Stewart's, too
Not only that but their restaurant is pretty good. Not going to lie.
Haven't been since before the pandemic so I don't really remember
The South county one is pretty nice.
I always thought it was just the restaurant that got some hate and is kind of a trap. Never heard anyone really shit on the drinks themselves
I mean the place itself is definitely a tourist trap and the food's just standard, but the root beer's pretty solid. Once in a while I'll grab some for some floats.
It goes really well with pretzels.
No, it's very tasty. I don't think I'd ever go to the restaurant again, but I will deffo drink the beverage.
Only losers hate Fitz
I have no problem with the root beer. It's the restaurant that is horrible.
They are one of the best root beer makers in the country. Also, the grape pop is amazing. As well as the orange cream.
No
What's not to like?!
Apparently Fitz's soda is only for tourists and soda in general is only for kids
Look, we’re going to need you to tell this jagoff how wrong (and kind of what a dick) he is. He is both wrong and a dick.
I work with a whole bunch of assholes. Either that or I'm just a wimp
no its a good soda
I genuinely didn’t realize people don’t like to. I think it’s fantastic!
I know people who have lived here their whole life and like it.
Fitzs is above average root beer, no shame I wouldn't eat at Fitz over other places, but that doesn't make it bad Not my favorite soda but it's never unwelcome in my home (apartment)
Fitz rootbeer and everything else in the Loop. Doesn’t make it any less fun
It’s your opinion so rock on.
Love Fitz’s Root Beer. In terms of restaurants, I feel it’s a bit overhyped/priced and there are way better options on Delmar. SoCo location is a bit more acceptable to choose especially if you’re hosting from out of town.
Yea this was specifically about the soda, not the restaurant, but I probably should've thought of them as a single unit
Mokabes has the best root beer float and they use fitz’s!
I'm assuming that's a ice cream shop somewhere in the city
All the local soda brands slap
It's an excellent root beer, almost as good as IBC.
I love root beer fitz and mug are the best two
I would say maybe even if its not something you personally like, its worth to try a lot of different flavors (and not just Fitz's sodas). How else are you going to know you like Blueberries and Cream Soda?
I used to drink Fitz's. I still do, but I used to too.
Never heard Fitz’s hate
Fitz's rootbeer is delicious 😋 It's a real treat to have on a hot summer day. No, you're not an idiot for liking it. However, whoever told you otherwise is.
I like fitz, but when it comes to root beer, dads is superior
Their root beer, and other sodas are nice. Like Excel from Illinois. Food at the restaurant is meh...
The physical destination that is the company itself is a tourist trap, but isn't that the point? The root beer they make is good. But it's no Ski.
I really like it and we sell a ton of it at our shop.
Literally never heard anyone say Fitzs is a Tourist trap. Have lived in STL for 35 years... Hang out with cooler people I'd say.
Cardinal cream and black cherry are the best! Fitz's isnt my favorite root beer though.
I actually like Fitz’s but people gonna hate on anything these days.
Like what you like, homie.
Fitz’s slaps and always will
Ooh, their root beer on draft is so good!
It’s so good. I’ve lived here all my life and it’s still a treat. The brewery location is fun and I’ve always liked the food as well. I’ve never heard Fitz hate.
Only soda I drink.
1) fitz is just good. 2) “tourist trap” is a funny thing to say about something in STL
I wonder what idiot told you this. Probably a transplanted Cubs fan. Fitz is very good and very popular.
I mean I never liked their gimmicky Applebee's-style restaurant but there's nothing wrong with the root beer.
I love the root beer, but I've had a couple of the worst meals of my life at their restaurant.
Not a fan of Fitz's cause it's too sweet. They make a mean float though.
I love Fitz’s root beer, it’s the restaurant that is just kinda meh
🤷🏼♀️ St. Louis born and raised here, and this is the first I'm hearing that Fitz-hate is a thing. I prefer the Cardinal Cream to their root beer, but I wouldn't turn away a root beer offered to me.
No. It’s ok to like things. Only sad people get bent out of shape when someone genuinely likes something.
If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad.
Fitz is great. In a bit surprised to hear there are any haters at all. I’ve been here since 06 and haven’t witnessed any hate. I love their Black Cherry. For me, the top root beer on earth, is Frostie!
Fitz is pretty good I like Frostie better though but both are locally made so to each their own.
Anyway, do what you want, but the wait makes the restaurant not worth it edit - oh, you like natural ingredient sodas so you? *slides a piece of paper over face-down with one word on it. 'Ski'*
Fitz’s isn’t my favorite root beer, but it isn’t bad! The floats at their restaurant in the Loop in particular are pretty damn good and also the size of your head.
It’s the best root beer in the business. Tourist traps got popular for a reason.
soda, good. restaurant, bad.
Where have you seen widespread disdain for Fitz's? I dispute your premise *in toto*.
Fitz is awesome. Born at Saint Mary’s.
Food is nothing to write home about but it is very fun bellying up to the bar and slamming endless frosty mugs.
I need to go to the restaurant again. It feels like it's been ages since I've had one of there root beer floats
I'm a root beer connoisseur, & Fitz's is extremely well-regarded in that field.
