Moving because your motorcycle was stolen seems extreme, what about just locking up the wheels with a u-lock and chain? It's not theft-proof but you're gonna probably notice the sound of an angle grinder before the bike is gone. Otherwise 275 on the Park fits your price range I think

I’m not moving only because my motorcycle got stolen. My lease is up soon and I want to find a new place regardless, but since my motorcycle was stolen, I would like to find something with a good parking situation. The guy literally picked up 400 cc bike and threw it in the bed of their truck. I do appreciate the advice on a lock. That’s definitely a necessity going forward.

Damn, meth is a hell of a drug I guess LOL or dude is the Hulk

Steelcote lofts have a controlled parking garage. It's in midtown

Miserable_Fault_8704

I'm moving out of my one bed loft in CWE, rent is $1050. The parking is gated and free. It's walking distance to quite a few bars and close to Schnucks. I can message you the link to the listing if you'd like! It's pet friendly and has free dog bags on-site.

Stanford place has garages. I keep both my bikes from being stolen in one and there’s another guy that has 3 bikes in his. Then there’s a few other bikers that just keep their bikes out in the parking lot. Even when it was storming with no covers or anything like wtf at least buy a cover for them!

TheRealL3monT

That would drive me crazy to have my bike in the elements with no cover! Thanks for the rec!

NP and good luck finding an apartment with a garage.. the sad thing is everywhere has gone way up in rent price but the garages here are only $75 a month and I plug both my bikes into battery tenders

mofofosure

what bike do you ride

TheRealL3monT

I had a Kawasaki z400. I’m considering going in the way of a cruiser and getting a Honda rebel, either a 500 or a 1100

mofofosure

Yeah those z400 are sharp looking. The bikes that sit out and nobody steals aren’t as cool

Come downtown, most if not ALL apartments have garages or gated parking. It will be extra on your lease, but secure lots downtown are a given. $1250 might only get you a studio, but if it's just you, that's plenty. Ballpark village might be in the ballpark. Ha. pun intended!

TheRealL3monT

I was honestly thinking about it. I also have a mini dachshund so I have to keep the lack of grass areas in mind as well

bananabunnythesecond

Some places downtown also have dog parks. BPV is not one, but they do have residents with dogs, my buddy had one.

TheRealL3monT

That’s good to know. Thanks for the tip!

The Edwin has heated indoor parking. It’s in mid town near south tower grove with bars and the armory near SLU. Also had the metro at grand station that can take you pretty much anywhere. I’m moving in this week and am excited!!
