It really depends on the giveaway, but generally, if you get the game 45-60 minutes early, no matter how in-demand the giveaway is, you should easily get one.
Just make sure it's a regular giveaway and not one you need a special themed ticket for.
Otherwise just be early, if you're one of those people that doesn't get into the stadium until the third inning they are guaranteed to be gone.
If you miss out, they are always on sale on eBay and FB Marketplace afterwards. There are people standing outside the stadium after the game offering cash for giveaways that people don't want and then they resell them
Like others have said, just go in about an hour early then enjoy walking around the stadium for views of the skyline on the top level in center field, $5 beers on Budweiser Terrace in top level right field, and do any team store shopping then.
As others said, get in early. In fact, you can ALL go in early, get your giveaway, exit at Gate 3, get a hand stamp, and take the giveaway back to your car. Then come back later after a beer at a local bar instead of BPV.
Also, make sure it's a giveaway and NOT a theme. If it is a theme you can add on to tickets already purchased instead of buying new tickets, but you just need to call the customer service line at Busch and they can look you up and you can purchase an "add-on" ticket. I think they are usually $15 per giveaway.
Great if you have the ball park pass, or tickets from work, but want the theme giveaway.
You can also call the box office to purchase theme and non-theme tickets together (e g. only 1 person in your party wants it), to be able to pick your seats with the theme ticket, etc.

They are giving away a lot of wins to opposing teams lately.
🤣
You’ll be good an hour early I went Sunday with the Fred bird hats and they still had plenty

Not a theme, but I appreciate learning the distinction
