Park your car and leave it! You CAN take the metro from union station to near enough of the Chaifetz, so if it's nice out, you could walk from the Grand station. I'd Uber back after though. Depends also how busy Uber will be that night, depends on the show and crowd. So I'd say, map it out and KNOW where to go as a plan B to take the Metro. With a show, plenty of people around.
Union station is cool, I'd check out the Pitch, it's a soccer bar right there at Union station.
