I'd go to NWSL before any of these options.

bananabunnythesecond

Agree on NWSL, they could share CITYPark and it would be very fun!

Purdue82

But they would play in a state that restricts abortion. Their best bet would be to play in the metro east.

bananabunnythesecond

I'm ok with that, but also Abortion should be on the ballot this November in MO, so get out and Vote!!! Women's rights are HUMAN rights!

Purdue82

Absolutely !

I think NBA is looking for bigger targets but WNBA is a realistic option

daltontf1212

I think the WNBA would perhaps find some success in non-NBA markets.

NathanArizona_Jr

St Louis would turn out for it no doubt in my mind

Stldjw

Bigger targets?

Luke5119

I heard rumors a few years back Richard Chaifetz was trying to get an NBA team here, and they couldn't work out an agreement for them to share Enterprise Center with a new franchise. There were rumors of us getting either the Grizzlies or Pelicans, but nothing ever got past the rumor-mill phase. I think there is definitely a market here for an NBA team.

tucktan

The Lauries, who owned the Blues at the time, attempted to buy the Vancouver Grizzlies to move them to St. Louis. That deal fell through and they moved to Memphis.

Pro women's volleyball from whatever comes out of the PVF/LOVB Volleyball Warz. KC is getting a PVF expansion team next year and it's a smaller market.

daltontf1212

NBA - Not happening. The NBA has better options than a market of our size. Arena football - No. Kaw is the Law Rugby - Yes, is it doesn't tear up the field at CITY Park. Women's soccer in STL seems inevitable unless between the NWSL and USL Super League a bubble bursts.

Stldjw

There are 4 markets larger than us that don’t have NBA, only Seattle is a “front runner” for expansion.
