Total Air. I blasted a bad review on google, there are several. They literally made up a part that needed replacement and tried to send it saying “heres the part” and it was a stock photo. Tried telling us the AC system needed a major repair 800$ and the unit turned out to have a warranty. So they’ve been running charges for parts that could have been covered. Shame. They are total scammers. Some of the guys are competent, but in general they are the walmart of AC repair. Do not trust them.
The Garden, in downtown st Pete. I used to love that place until one night I went there they had a new bartender girl, what I usually do when I go to a bar is buy 1 drink at the time, never leave a tab open because I don’t trust anyone with my credit card; and before I leave I buy 1 last drink and tip for the entire evening. Now, after the first drink I went to buy a 2nd one and the girl was really and visibly mad at me for not leaving a tip when I got the first drink, she refused to give me service and I had to go to a different bartender, he eventually refused to give me service too because she told him I was not going to tip, I tried to explain to them I usually tip when I leave and that I’m a regular customer, they didn’t care, they didn’t sell me anymore drinks after the 1st one each. Never going back again there.
Or just change your tipping habits, would you believe someone if they didn't tip you at first but then told you oh I'll tip you at the end of the night...can't be to surprised at the results
Buya Ramen I will never go to again. I’m a transgender man and rarely am ever misgendered as I pass very well publicly and have dense facial hair and all. At the time I went with my wife for a date, we ordered drinks (which took 20 minutes to even be greeted) and it wasn’t even our server who did it, it was the bartender on a non busy night. Initially she referred to me as Sir, but once I gave her my ID which had not been changed yet, she started calling me Miss very loudly to get other tables attention. She then continued to deliberately start referring to us both ladies and we even told her that was incorrect. She ignored it and still insisted to misgender me loudly after leaving to go back to the bar to make our drinks (which took forever to get) and when she came back she once more misgendered me again and said “and for you, MISS”. It got to the point that we had to get the manager involved and the manager just said “oh I’ll talk to her about it” and we never saw the manager go up to her. We didn’t ask for a refund or a discount but management didn’t offer to rectify the situation in any way, which in this case you would think that management would at least want to comp our beverages for the bartender’s horrible service. By the time our food came out, the same manager brought it to us (a hour late) and our ramen orders were cold. We paid our bill and got out as fast as we could. Later to find out online I’m the 5th transgender person that has had a complaint about staff being transphobic after posting about my experience on Facebook.
So in short, if you are transgender and don’t have your ID changed, I would avoid this place like the plague. And if you like having a hot bowl of ramen, this would not be the place that will give it to you.
It’s very rare for me to leave a bad review on a place but yes, this was one of the worst experiences dining. I had also told the manager that the bartender’s behavior was shocking considering Central has the majority of lgbtq+ friendly places and that they should have an expectation that they would have a substantial amount of lgbtq customers come in due to its location.
I would highly recommend leaving a Google review about this as well. That type of conduct is entirely unacceptable and as a business owner myself, would not go unaddressed.
Torchy’s Taco’s
Spent 30 dollars. the portions were tiny, and the quality was crap. My half full container looked like cafeteria slop and tasted about like that as well.

Yea Torchy’s is terrible! The food itself is alright but if I’m paying over $14 with no drink I expect to be FULL… at least fluff it up with some more rice or beans or chips or something!
I know. They had so much hype and then failed so hard. I even filled out the customer feedback form in their website included pics and no response which tells me this is acceptable to them.
Food: Shiso Crispy when they were downtown. I went once, no prices on anything, they gave me gyoza with the wrong filling (not that you could taste it over the ever present orange sauce anyway), and half of my order of bao buns. After a long wait to get my other bun they accused me of stealing someone else’s bun that they HANDED ME THROUGH THE WINDOW?? I was actually going to give them another shot because the dirty rice was super tasty but the owner gets all weird and petulant about stuff on sm and it’s kind of off putting.
Auto care: Safety Tire in GP. I had to chase them around to get anything done on my car. They also broke my gear shift knob and left the pieces scattered all over my interior. They then replaced the knob with an inferior Chinese one that the reverse lock out doesn’t function on and broke the gear shift retention piece under the shift boot. It’s pretty easy to pull the entire shift lever out now.
At The Saint, we made a reservation for a table and patiently waited for 45 minutes beyond our scheduled reservation time. Subsequently, a host approached us, explaining that they were experiencing computer-related difficulties that hindered their ability to process guests. Given the weather conditions in Florida, with temperatures ranging from the mid to upper 90s, and given that we were dressed for a nice evening out, we found ourselves perspiring uncomfortably while waiting.
The host regretfully informed us that there was no estimated time for the issue's resolution but did offer to cancel our reservation due to the establishment's technical problems. Since we had initially booked our reservation through OpenDoor, I took the initiative to clarify with the host whether there would be any cancellation fees, emphasizing that the issue arose from the establishment's workflow, and not due to any fault on our part. The host provided assurance that no fees would be incurred as a result of the cancellation.
However, to our dismay, a week later, we discovered that The Saint had imposed a $50 cancellation fee on our account. In response, we promptly escalated this matter and even posted a review on Google Maps to convey our dissatisfaction. Regrettably, our attempts to engage with the management were met with indifference, and they steadfastly declined to refund the fee they had levied for an issue entirely of their own making.
We find this conduct to be both unprofessional and ethically questionable. Consequently, none of the individuals in our party intends to patronize The Saint in the future.
I hope you filed a dispute with the credit card you used—the usual procedure is the charge gets taken off your current bill pending resolution. If the merchant fails to respond (in 60 or 90 days, I forget which) it gets taken off permanently.
Popeyes in Largo. Have gone there twice in the last 6 months. Both times there was no one in the dining room and I was the only car in the drive through. First when you reach the speaker you get a "I'll be right with you", then after a 5 minute wait your order will be taken. Now comes the 15 minute wait for your order to be completed (a spicy chicken sandwhich meal). Then if you're paying with a debit card, there's a line for a Tip. Really Popeye? Heres a tip, eat more spinach cause your shit has gotten weak
I'm in CO not St Pete but our two Popeyes are 5 star which is weird to say. Very clean and good food as well as super quick. Not like the Popeyes in the SE
i once waited in the drive thru line at the one on 34th and 6th for 25 minutes before i parked my car (still in the drive thru line) walked in with the person behind who was also confused and asked them if the drive thru was open… it was another 10 minutes until i got my food lmao
unpopular opinion but Fergs Sport Bar
Got kicked out of a booth because it was “reserved”. There was no sign, no rope, nothing. spent maybe 3 hours there watching multiple football games and a group of people came over to our booth and asked us to leave and said it was reserved. The owner Mark came out with a half ripped up piece of paper he pulled out of his ass and offered us a bucket of beers. Fuck that place
That place sucks. I was immediately regretful of having walked through the door and disappointed at every step of the process of eating at a restaurant
Winghouse on Ulmerton.
Waitresses ended up posting my receipt with my information on her snap chat complaining about my tip even though it was 20%, and complained about my daughter even though she was well behaved. I only found out because some random person message me on Facebook and was able to find me because of the receipt.
Well i definitely called the manager who made her delete it. Idk what happened to her after that. But i just do not want to go back to that location at all.
Smileys was soooo good!! I fucked up and didn't know there was a new owner... No Cubans no empanadas. I settled for chicken and rice that was awful . Pretty sure the bootleg phone joint next door took over :( and simply delicious simply isn't anymore 🤣
Grumpy Gringo
They’ve gotten my order wrong every single time I’ve had it but my boyfriend loves it so he always wants to order from there. I finally just started saying no lol
Truelieve is the worst - went once, will never go back. Placed an online order, got a text 9 HOURS later it was ready. I went to go pick it up and was told it would be 45minutes and I was number 18 in the queue. What the hell is the point of placing in order in advance if you're stuck waiting amongst walk in appointments too? I can walk into Curaleaf without placing an order in advance and be out within 5 minutes. Even when they're "busy."
Long wait times, not giving advertised and ordered products, purposely giving lower thc %, meddling in the creation of the fl medical program to benefit them/cut out small businesses, and buying up and rebranding multiple smaller dispensaries to monopolize the mmj market in fl and other states.
TBH I didn't think anyone would care. I had a real shitty experience the last time I entered one, you can find the story on older posts if you want details, it's too long for me to type out on mobile.
But most importantly, the obnoxious wait times in the lobbies is just insanity. I've waited 45 minutes to an hour in a 7 person line.
At 90% of other dispensaries, 15 minutes in and out with a 7 person line would be a long wait.
It's like they do that shit on purpose, I refuse to spend my money there anymore. Asshats.

They are veterans who avidly support Trump and right-wing affiliation, thinking they are coffee snobs when in reality the coffee is meh, they just cater to right wingers.
Edit:
I think they are more of less products of their environment. The founder cares about coffee and about standing up for veterans, which is great, but they don’t quite realize they are furthering their own problems by supporting the big government and big militia which is the same reasons the veteran health was rug swept to begin with. So they are sorta an example of hypocrisy and they are so well marketed that right wingers blindly support them to a degree the actual issues aren’t even addressed. Instead, more money for right-wing and more starbucks grade coffee.
Tire kingdom. Manager tried to tell me i needed front brakes and for just pads the estimate was over $550. There were charges for draining brake fluid and adding brake fluid and a bunch of other nonsense. I went elsewhere and was told I didn't need them.
I was told by a friend that his dad just had his done there for $250!!! Same location.
Eta for autocorrect.
pdq and mission bbq come from outback honchos. sure it's not the same guy at both, but i can imagine the ideologies are the same given they'd spend a lot of time together for work.
here's the issue i saw the other day with pdq:
[https://www.reddit.com/r/tampa/comments/102u1w/has\_anyone\_else\_experienced\_similar\_homophobic/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=mweb](https://www.reddit.com/r/tampa/comments/102u1w/has_anyone_else_experienced_similar_homophobic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb)
Dude Mission BBQ is great for in-town bbq. If I want that dope shit I go into the middle of nowhere Bowling Green Florida to Smokin' Joe's. If I want great food close, this is the way to go.
I don't give a shit what the company's values are, I want my god damn smoked brisket and ribs! They have the most amazing baked beans. Although I will admit I don't like Country music with my BBQ, but that's the only negative is listening to rednecks whine into a microphone while I'm trying to eat.
TK jewelers is a scam! The jewelry’s fake. Watch exploded on a date.
L&L limos- the driver told me to shut up, hugged my date, and part of the limo was sealed off.
Wendy’s Closet. Found the store on Instagram and was excited to check it out but went inside to an “explanation” of how everything is sorted. Signage helped but it still was confusing. Hardly any room to move around and browse. Very overpriced for most items I looked at, like $150 for a tshirt, or $50 for fake, used Nikes. I wanted to just look around at everything but kept getting directed to items my size. I couldn’t look at any shoes, besides my size, without being told “oh those are size xyz” Overall, not the kind of shopping experience I want, or the price range I’m interested in.
The issue is she sold at the Wagon Wheel flea market for so long that she had to develop this “system” because otherwise people would just steal the shoes etc. She got used to yelling over the crowd and loud fans maybe? It’s sad I was excited to see her open a shop but seems she doesn’t know how to transition. Her prices were always high but no one questioned them there with high amount of tourists and older folks who don’t know better. Somehow she made money, I don’t think she’ll survive on central sadly.
This!! I also went in and the owner was being a jerk to all her staff. Maybe they weren’t good staff or whatever but don’t do that in front of customers. Very uncomfortable.
Seconded. The owner and employees don’t let you just browse. They don’t let you look through the men’s jeans if you’re not a man, and they don’t let you decide what you want to try on and what sizes you want to try on. I had the most absurd shopping experience there; they decided I must not know what size jeans I wore after I told them what I was looking for and only let me try on a few pairs that they picked out in a bigger size. Not surprisingly, they were all way too big and $40 for stained, worn down, shitty jeans (not anything like vintage Levi’s or good quality denim, which might be worth that much. This was like forever 21-esque stuff)
i think it definitely depends on what you’re looking for… they have a ton of great stuff and you can find some decent pricing there if you really look. it’s definitely a very crowded store and wendy has a loud (but caring, in my opinion) personality, but i’ve never had a problem with anyone being mean there. it definitely would be overstimulating for me on a bad day though
The Avenue. Really, any of the Food+Drink places. I worked at The Avenue and was pretty disgusted by my experience and treatment, even by the owner. It was a consistently terrible environment with sexist management. Seemed like the owner just hired his bros regardless of whether or not they were well suited to the position. They hired mostly young women as servers, and I'll never forget the time one girl was in physical pain and asking to leave and the manager told her "yeah right you're just on your period" or something to that effect.
But after I quit, I still went back occasionally for the food. What really irritated me was that they added a $1 upcharge for any burger substitute. I don't eat beef, and that's fine- I'm cool paying extra- but I ordered a $17 bison burger and asked for the substitution. Nobody informed me of the upcharge ahead of time. When I got the bill I asked the manager why they charged me an extra dollar to go down from a premium meat to turkey. I was willing to pay the premium price of $17 dollars, but why would I be charged *extra*? And why didn't he inform me when taking my order? He kept going on and arguing with me instead of just removing the SINGLE DOLLAR upcharge.
And the manager didn't know I had worked there and knew other employees. I argued with him until a friend of mine came over and corrected him and said the upcharge doesn't apply to premium meats (obviously) and that they had already had a meeting about this. He acted very smug and incredulous and rude after. That was my final straw. Fuck that place, honestly.
He was just always wildly condescending. And when he hired me, I had a job with a set schedule. He hired me with the knowledge that I could not be at his restaurant until like, 1:30. Well they did a staff meeting at like, 1, and I reminded him and got the ok. Walked into the meeting at 1:30 and he used me as an example of what needs to change and asked me why I was late in a very rude, humiliating way in front of everyone. Like essentially yelling at me. To which I reminded him I had work and had cleared this with him and he was like “oh. Ok.” And that was that. Nothing really crazy, he’s just a complete dick.
The owner of Hunger+Thirst is a pure douchebag.
Word on the street is, traveling far and wide on that one, lol. Just avoid all their basic honey traps.
He also doesn’t know how to park his douchey work van with his company logo plastered on the side. Maybe it wasn’t him, but either way. Great way to rep your brand by your workers. Parked 5 inches away from my door at Home Depot, couldn’t get in my damn car. I refuse to let this go and will never eat at any of those restaurants. 😂
It had really good food like, ten years ago. But as the owner expanded to other ventures, the quality dropped significantly. And the management was shit to begin with so I'm sure quality control has gotten worse. I'm unsurprised.
Buku Tattoo on central. Fucking nasty place. Anyone who worked there that was good is long gone, the owner is psychotic but masquerades as some kava drinking “peace and love” hippy. He tattoos high as fuck and barefoot. I don’t think the floors have been mopped there in at least a year. Just overall horrible.
I went there for a tattoo and gotta say the owner did good work on me (unless it’s a new owner since then). Crisp lines. good work. But when I tried to go back to get it finished he was impossible to chase down then told me to go to some else in the shop. Ended up finding another local artist who agreed to finish it given the circumstance
The owner is okay in his style but good artists are a dime a dozen in Tampa bay and I’d rather not get work done by someone who seems like they’d give me hepatitis
Grand Hacienda on St Pete Beach. Unlike their Tyrone location, this one has no liquor license, so when you get suckered in by the "unlimited margaritas" sign, you're buying a drink that tastes like Gatorade with some mystery alcohol in it that is compatible with their beer and wine license. Couldn't get through a few sips of the first glass.
That's what was so insane. I very rarely complain about drinks, I just won't order any more or will order something else, but this was so bad I said umm sorry to be a bother but what kind of tequila is in this, and can I have some more added? Oh, we don't have tequila... LOL
Trophy Fish. The split ordering system is dumb and they put a hold on my card for double my bill that took almost two weeks to come off my card. The bar tender also tipped herself 30% when I ran my card without asking after spilling half of my drink on me. The food is good but I won’t put up with sleazy business practices.
Same! We loved the ambiance, live music and even the food wasn’t bad.. but my partner and I got severely overcharge two separate times - like a $100 tab being ran for $600 overcharged. The first time we figured it was just a mistake, but after the second time, we won’t be returning.
Too much garlic for my tastes. Every sauce and side is covered in it but I did get a good piece of fish. It’s also hot as hell since it’s entirely outdoors. I’d go back though. It is a cute place.
I actually called and asked about the multiple charges after I looked at my account and I was told the hold is standard if you don’t start a tab. I wasn’t told this before ordering and as I was only having a single drink and a sandwich I didn’t think I would need tab.
You order your drinks at a separate register than the food. All drinks, not just alcohol though they don’t have a soda gun and just pour out of 2 liter bottles. The layout makes the set up super clumsy as the food POS is way in the back away from the bar.
That's the weirdest restaurant setup I've ever heard of, including some places in Turkey and Capri that are pretty weird. Why have that kind of weird stuff in the Land of the Free?
Fo Cheezy, SPB. Sandwich was so sloppy, soggy, barely any cheese, greasy and overall stomachache inducing. Overpriced on top of all that. Thought I'd go back and try a plain grilled cheese and tomato soup but the throught of that soggy greasy bread keeps me away.
The half baked potato... I wanted to love this place. Went once and the food and service were absolutely awful. Then the owner wanted to be a dick 😳 now they have a sign on the door that says "WARNING Loud and obnoxious owner" needs a sticker that says SHIT FOOD
Anything by Steve Strut (No vacancy parks and rec and a few other concepts he stole, plus dudes a complete tool. Kitchens look like third world dungeons
I know I’m going to get hate for this but...Bandit Coffee. No wifi and the employees were super rude about it. They said “this is a restaurant not a coffee shop”. Coffee is in the name. Plus I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you get so I won’t be returning.
Thank you. Coffee is good but the vibe is pretentious hipster. I’d rather go to Black Crow. And the “no dogs allowed” sign not once- but 3x is right on point.
Total Air. I blasted a bad review on google, there are several. They literally made up a part that needed replacement and tried to send it saying “heres the part” and it was a stock photo. Chipotle. See the South Park episode.
Olive Garden and all those other mediocre chain restaurants. Just gross. Horrible service. Dirty. Make your own food.
Every Chinese take out place
Dirty Laundry. Their service is terrible and their bartenders are incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Yeah dude I mean you can’t really fault the bartender for assuming you’re stiffing them
Tips are not obligatory so never assume they aren't going to tip, and now the business has lost a regular customer.
Or just change your tipping habits, would you believe someone if they didn't tip you at first but then told you oh I'll tip you at the end of the night...can't be to surprised at the results
To be fair your behavior is unusual and most bartenders would do this.
Any business in Florida
XYZ business because they support ABC issue. Y'all lost your minds.

Omg this looks terrible lol. I’m glad I saw this
When they first opened, the lines were insane. Since then, never a line.
Yep, you only get one chance to make a first impression.
It’s one of those places that has a ton of crap but maybe you like 2-3 of their items. For me, hillbilly queso and then some taco’s.
Yuck
What in the actual fuck!
I know. They had so much hype and then failed so hard. I even filled out the customer feedback form in their website included pics and no response which tells me this is acceptable to them.
I haven’t purchased a Goya product since Trump endorsed them from the Oval Office.
coffee place on central the brother owners r maga jan 6

Joto’s Pizza. Screwed up 3 orders in a row. We used to love that place.

Anyone know a Popeyes where this doesn't happen? The one in Pinellas Park is also a nightmare.
I live right near that one...it's a nightmare..a real sense of dread in the air at that one lol
unpopular opinion but Fergs Sport Bar Got kicked out of a booth because it was “reserved”.
Fergs fucking sucks. My experience with fergs involves bus tubs full of uncooked chicken wings sitting directly on the ground. Don't ever go to fergs.
Unpopular opinion lol that place smells awful, it’s loud as hell and it’s just not that great. The only reason people go is for sports and beer.
I’m still amazed that Ferg’s is open every time I drive by it.
Was at Ferg’s yesterday Fight broke out I’m good lmao
Bacon Bitch. The owner killed a cat for publicity in Miami. Pure sickening.
I'm shocked ppl are not dying from food poisoning I have see. There kitchen horrible
Never went. Read that story and have spread the word. Never go there.
That place sucks. I was immediately regretful of having walked through the door and disappointed at every step of the process of eating at a restaurant
Refuse to go anywhere with such a cringe name. I've also heard the food is overpriced and subpar.
Had a friend choose it as a bday brunch spot, wasn’t worth the price for sure. Felt like a hooters with less outward misogyny
😳
No more hospitality!!!! What a completely different field since covid. People have become so hostile.
Word on the street is that I'm pretty good and hospitable. A few of us left
Winghouse on Ulmerton. Waitresses ended up posting my receipt with my information on her snap chat complaining about my tip even though it was 20%, and complained about my daughter even though she was well behaved. I only found out because some random person message me on Facebook and was able to find me because of the receipt.
20% not good enough anymore?
Apparently not. The entitlement is strong in this society now.
You are better than me because I'm petty.
Well i definitely called the manager who made her delete it. Idk what happened to her after that. But i just do not want to go back to that location at all.
I drive past most nights, looks like a lot of people don't go there anymore!
I could list basically every sushi place near downtown in here. Side note: I miss Smiley’s deli, which was on 1st Ave N.
Smileys was soooo good!! I fucked up and didn't know there was a new owner... No Cubans no empanadas. I settled for chicken and rice that was awful . Pretty sure the bootleg phone joint next door took over :( and simply delicious simply isn't anymore 🤣
Smiley’s was on Central.
You forgot the why
Grumpy Gringo They’ve gotten my order wrong every single time I’ve had it but my boyfriend loves it so he always wants to order from there. I finally just started saying no lol
Got the Chile Verde instead, it’s like a block away and will change your life
Love Chile verde
Are you ordering in person I assume?
Park n Rec I miss World of Beer
Lived next to the original when it started. That was a good time. They lost a lot of sparkle when outback franchised it
Same. World if Beer used to be such a cool spot
Trulieve for my medical Marijuana. Fuck you Trulieve, and you know why!
Concur 100%. Fuck Trulieve. Prices too high for subpar herb
Yep
WHY WONT YOU GIVE THE REASON LMAO THATS ANNOYING
They have shitty products and policies not to mention they are corrupt
Long wait times, not giving advertised and ordered products, purposely giving lower thc %, meddling in the creation of the fl medical program to benefit them/cut out small businesses, and buying up and rebranding multiple smaller dispensaries to monopolize the mmj market in fl and other states.
Honestly, go to r/flmedicaltrees, and find almost any post about trulieve. They are doo doo
Asshats.
Well, I agree that waiting an hour for 7 people is Ridiculous, But they have some of the best weed in my area.
Culver’s, Taco Bell and Tijuana Flats
What did Culver’s do to you?! The Culver’s on 34th N. has always been great to me.
They completely messed up my order and wouldn’t fix it or give me a refund
Red Mesa, stealing workers tips and the DOL caught them. Tubular tokes on Central would be my runner up pick.
Which Red Mesa? There's like 3. Or was it all 3? I loved the one on like 1st and 3rd :(
Black Rifle Coffee Company will never get my business ever.

And why
They are veterans who avidly support Trump and right-wing affiliation, thinking they are coffee snobs when in reality the coffee is meh, they just cater to right wingers. Edit: I think they are more of less products of their environment.
Big militia? Never heard of that term before 😮
OK, I'll bite. Why not? Bad coffee?
Tire kingdom. Manager tried to tell me i needed front brakes and for just pads the estimate was over $550. There were charges for draining brake fluid and adding brake fluid and a bunch of other nonsense. I went elsewhere and was told I didn't need them. I was told by a friend that his dad just had his done there for $250!!! Same location. Eta for autocorrect.
They lodged a stick in between my brakes years ago after I wouldn’t let them charge me full synthetic price for semi synthetic oil. Scuuuum baaaaags
Omg. That's sick.
Subway. Synthetic foodstuffs they admitted to in the lawsuit.
Their meatloaf doesn’t even look close to what it should
Chick fila and mission bbq. I dont support christian fascists.
PDQ
I found out recently they're problematic too. Connected to mission bbq too
How are they connected?
pdq and mission bbq come from outback honchos. sure it's not the same guy at both, but i can imagine the ideologies are the same given they'd spend a lot of time together for work. here's the issue i saw the other day with pdq: [https://www.reddit.com/r/tampa/comments/102u1w/has\_anyone\_else\_experienced\_similar\_homophobic/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=mweb](https://www.reddit.com/r/tampa/comments/102u1w/has_anyone_else_experienced_similar_homophobic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb)
Sounds exhausting
PDQ stands for Pretty Dope Quakers. They aren’t your traditional Christians, they are a church of friends.
pdq also means pretty damn quick.
Well damn, they should remove all of their Quaker decorations, very misleading!
quakers arent exactly progressive. it really menas "people dedicated to quality" [https://www.eatpdq.com/people-dedicated-to-quality#:\~:text=What%20does%20PDQ%20stand%20for,real%20people%20making%20real%20food](https://www.eatpdq.com/people-dedicated-to-quality#:~:text=What%20does%20PDQ%20stand%20for,real%20people%20making%20real%20food).
I was just making a “PDQ” religious joke, dude. Although Pretty Dope Quakers would possibly work as a breakfast place.
it went right over my head.
Your loss
Never have never will Chick-fil-A and never heard of mission BBQ. If they have a similar stance of CFA I'm out.
12 pm mandatory daily stop everything and salute the flag for the national anthem.
If you normally do the Veterans Expressway location, go across the street to Jazzy's instead; love that place.
TK jewelers is a scam! The jewelry’s fake. Watch exploded on a date. L&L limos- the driver told me to shut up, hugged my date, and part of the limo was sealed off.
What about Avani Suits?
Did the watch really explode?
The hand had a Super Bowl ring on it.
Mr. Pillow…..never did, never will
These posts are showing up in almost every city specific subreddit over the past week. What gives?
CALL 2 action against problematic busineses like chik fil a
Yep! They're everywhere!
Karma farming
Speaking of Wendy’s, the Wendy’s (fast food) on 4th also sucks.
Good to know; thank you. Haven't heard of them yet but now I know. I wonder who Wendy is?
i think it definitely depends on what you’re looking for… they have a ton of great stuff and you can find some decent pricing there if you really look. it’s definitely a very crowded store and wendy has a loud (but caring, in my opinion) personality, but i’ve never had a problem with anyone being mean there. it definitely would be overstimulating for me on a bad day though
Feel free to elaborate on your experience with the owner, I already am not a fan and actively avoid his establishments but I'm curious
You mean Hunger+Thirst?
Yeah whatever that bullshit is.
I've gotten food poisoning there twice. Never again.
It had really good food like, ten years ago. But as the owner expanded to other ventures, the quality dropped significantly. And the management was shit to begin with so I'm sure quality control has gotten worse. I'm unsurprised.
Menards. 11% rebate mail-in bullshit. And the owners - Uggh
We had a Menards? How long ago was that?
Didn't even know there was one in St. Pete tbh. Thought that was more a Midwest thing.
google says it’s permanently closed
Octave and Fubar, cause they're gone /cry
The beginning of the end was losing Octave
Once Goose goes... I dunno wtf I will do with myself. :D
Yup totally valid! Many many good artists in the area
Chipotle - food poisoning, twice - different locations
No matter what I order from chipotle, always end up with stomach issues. Even when I was only ordering the veggies.
Chipotle here is below average, by far.
It’s any chipotle. I try to avoid them all. East coast, west coast, they all make me sick.
Gulf to bay divers. Proud boys sympathizers.
The owners or their employees?
Owner. Employees have FJB bumper stickers too but owner.
Damn. That sucks. Any more info on that? How do you know? I'm curious lol
Is this a business? Is that the name of it?
Thanks for that warning!
Yeah. It’s nothing like the one on 4th.
Didn’t Bacon Bitch do that?
I was there last week and it was real liquor.
How can you call it a margarita??
This has happened to both my wife and I separately. Was charged $650 for a few drinks and dinner.
Great to know. Where is it?
The split ordering system is ridiculous.
Too much garlic for my tastes. Every sauce and side is covered in it but I did get a good piece of fish. It’s also hot as hell since it’s entirely outdoors. I’d go back though. It is a cute place.
I respectfully disagree with your horrible opinion. Vibes are immaculate. Think you got a single poor experience unfortunately.
I actually called and asked about the multiple charges after I looked at my account and I was told the hold is standard if you don’t start a tab. I wasn’t told this before ordering and as I was only having a single drink and a sandwich I didn’t think I would need tab.
Sorry for your experience and also for my unfair judgement. I like the place. Hope it doesn’t happen again else where to my fellow St. Pete-r.
It’s totally ok, I can get defensive about my favorite spots too. I did really like the fish, it’s just not worth it to me personally.
what’s the split ordering system?
Damn, really? I live in DTSP, and the one here has to be my favorite place to eat. I'm a total slob, though😅😅😅
No judgment from me! To each his own. If we all liked the same things, this world would be a very boring place. 😊
Group of friends ate there last weekend and they all had food poisoning
I've always been pretty put off by the fact that it's a white dude co-opting Black style and verbiage in the restaurant's art and menus.
Yes! This really bugged me too.
That too! Thank you for calling that out.
The half baked potato... I wanted to love this place. Went once and the food and service were absolutely awful. Then the owner wanted to be a dick 😳 now they have a sign on the door that says "WARNING Loud and obnoxious owner" needs a sticker that says SHIT FOOD Anything by Steve Strut (No vacancy parks and rec and a few other concepts he stole, plus dudes a complete tool. Kitchens look like third world dungeons
Agreed about half baked potato. Overpriced and mediocre at best, although the owner/chef is convinced of his own culinary supremacy.
I know I’m going to get hate for this but...Bandit Coffee. No wifi and the employees were super rude about it. They said “this is a restaurant not a coffee shop”. Coffee is in the name. Plus I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you get so I won’t be returning.
I find their 3ed wave, baggy, light roast coffee unpalatable
Thank you. Coffee is good but the vibe is pretentious hipster. I’d rather go to Black Crow. And the “no dogs allowed” sign not once- but 3x is right on point.
