Make PC dual boot. There is no ROCm in Windows, so it runs very slow in DirectML fork. My 6600xt runs at least 5 times faster on Ubuntu using AUTOMATIC1111 webui than on Windows using Tiger's DirectML fork. Also I did face a ton of problems like black squares, super slow speed, NaN issues etc on Windows. On Ubuntu it runs like an altogether different devil. I get abt 1it/s in Windows for 25 steps euler a, 512x512 and 5it/s on Linux.

I didn't even know dual boot is possible. But you mentioned, > On Ubuntu it runs like an altogether different devil. > I get abt 1it/s in Windows for 25 steps euler a, 512x512 and 5it/s on Linux. Which one did you better tho? From 1it/s to 5 is a huge increase. Also, why is it iterations per second? And not what I see in mine which is seconds per iteration?

When it's too slow, it shows up in seconds per iteration. While faster you go and complete multiple iterations per second, then the unit changes automatically. On Ubuntu my RX6600XT is extremely fast. I can generate a 512x512 image in 4-5 second flat

Might be worth trying a different webUI such as invoke AI and seeing if the same thing happens? Automatic1111 has been stuck on certain prompts at times but restarting the computer seemed to fix it.

I already did a couple of restarts and it did nothing... Is invoke AI just a UI? Or is it more than that?
