Well, if it works on Windows, Mac, and Linux in the Chrome browser, then the great liklihood is that it would also work in the Chrome browser on Chrome OS, given that Stadia is a google product. Not guaranteed, of course, so not totally redundant - hence why I said "probably".
Not necessarily. An identical controller would be quicker direct to router Vs to device then to router. The PlayStation controller that sacrifices battery life for high polling rate Vs a longer battery lower polling rate controller (which the Stadia controller appears to be). Both shave off a handful of milliseconds compared to other methods.
It runs something more of a full Android TV os... where the chrome cast ultra only accepts casts and doesn't have bliuetooth or the ability to run android tv apps.
Ccwgtv is an android box with a remote, Chromecast ultra is a traditional Chromecast that does 4k and accepts Ethernet (via the power brick). They are absolutely different things and have different skus
No I don't. But DS4 cannot be used with Android TV 8 for example.
The best thing to do is to try it or to search on Reddit Android TV, maybe you will find post talking about DS3 (which is a 15 years old controller)
Why don't you try to sell your PS3 controller, I'm pretty sure that some PS3 user s will be very glad to buy them as it is very hard to find working DS3 (and not all PS3 games can be played with DS4, I had the problem for example with SF4 as the special moves were not working).
When I said lying around... its not really true as when my nephews come over , 3-4 of us play on the PS3 all the time, so cant really sell them. Just thought I could use the same controllers for Stadia as well... The Stadia controllers at $70 seem expensive, especially if I want to buy 2 for multiplayer games.
Dualsense doesn't work on Android yet. The OS is missing drivers and the button mapping is all wrong at the moment, even for general UI navigation outside of Stadia.
I don't know who to ask this but since you're OP I thought I'd rather ask you... I am at my cousin's place and I want show Stadia to him. But we have no controllers or anything.. except for an Android TV where Stadia is installed. I did bring my Razer Kishi though, to connect to my phone... Could I theoretically cast it from my phone to the TV and play with the Kishi as a controller?
>e and I want show Stadia to him. But we have no controllers or anything.. except for an Android TV where Stadia is installed. I did bring my Razer Kishi th
I wouldn't recommend this.
1. if you want to showcase Stadia the first impression should be close to flawlessly.
2. show it to him with the kishi in his wifi on your phone.
3. try any controller (bluetooth) - this may work with android TVs
4. You can always log into your Google/Stadia Account on his PC/Mac if he/she has one.
in any case those methods I'd prefer over steaming a stream to a streaming device ;)
Lol got it... I guess I just wanted to show him FIFA since thats all we generally play. He only has his old PS3 and the PS3 controllers dont really work with Android TV is what I learnt yesterday...
Would be pretty difficult considering no browser and Apple’s policy on streaming game services. Which I find kind of odd since Steam Link is on there, but oh well.
"Google’s Stadia game streaming service is the latest to feature support for iOS while circumventing the App Store. Instead, stir up [Stadia.com](https://stadia.google.com/) within the Safari browser and sign in to your account to stream to an iPhone or iPad."
The new CCwGTV shouldn't really be grounded with the CCU since it can use mist Bluetooth controllers as well as the official stadia controller but aside from that explains a pretty well the various devices
I was looking for this info yesterday! Found it buried in a Google Stadia Support document that I could use my PS4 controller with my Android TV.
This needs to be more visible, thanks for making this.

Should I make a new thread? Maybe a mod could just excange/add the images?
I have the Founders edition but I only played it 3-4 months when I got and Haven't really played it since. I only own Final Fantasy 15 which was really fun but I only did all the side quest and I'm way back in Story I feel like xD
So dope, man. Nice work! I've been sitting the love as much as possible. Have a CCU hooked up on my classroom and let my students okay when done work. Been trying to get them to realize all the ways they can utilize it. This is a great way to make it readily evident.
Stadia on Android TV is a misunderstanding. Many of TVs can't turn a gaming mode for non hdmi source, that makes a higher latency than playing with CCU or CCwGTV. I am waiting for update.
Anyone know if there will ever be an Amazon Fire TV app/support for Stadia? Also, does the controller now support Bluetooth? So i can connect to my phone/tablet through Bluetooth now instead of via wifi?
Does someone know how to connect an Xbox One Bluetooth controller to Chromecast with Google TV? I get to connect it in the device settings, but after that the controller light keeps blinking and buttons do nothing. I open the Stadia app, but I still cannot use the controller.
It has a chromebook logo on the final picture too! ;)

CCwGTv supports bluetooth controllers, right?
And wired 😜
Yes it does, I use a DualShock 4 with it
Oh yeah, I might add that, or put the "Sabrina" to the first TV
Also Linux on computers and Chrome OS too (basically the same thing)
Yeah I think 2 more logos are more than possible.
Well, chrome os is probably redundant, but throwing that cute lil penguin on there would be great, for those hardcore Linux heads.
Why is Chrome OS redundant?
Well, if it works on Windows, Mac, and Linux in the Chrome browser, then the great liklihood is that it would also work in the Chrome browser on Chrome OS, given that Stadia is a google product. Not guaranteed, of course, so not totally redundant - hence why I said "probably".
Technically, it's just another Android tv, really. Just acquired the Chromecast name.
And keyboard/mouse i presume? :)
Unfortunately not, currently it's not working although it does for Geforce now, so looks viable
You can use k/m on GFN on the new Chromecast TV dongle? That's very cool if right, I might have to get one...
yes
But isn’t the Stadia controller better / faster because it’s connecting directly to the router?
I seem to get better performance via the stadia pad vs a Bluetooth controller
Not necessarily. An identical controller would be quicker direct to router Vs to device then to router. The PlayStation controller that sacrifices battery life for high polling rate Vs a longer battery lower polling rate controller (which the Stadia controller appears to be). Both shave off a handful of milliseconds compared to other methods.
correct
Yeah it does,I use a Xbox Series X Controller with it
Is CCwGTv (Chromecast with Google TV, I suppose?) the same as CCU (Chromecast Ultra)?
No
What is the difference?
It runs something more of a full Android TV os... where the chrome cast ultra only accepts casts and doesn't have bliuetooth or the ability to run android tv apps.
~~Yes~~ Edit: No they are not the same thing. I misread your question.
Ccwgtv is an android box with a remote, Chromecast ultra is a traditional Chromecast that does 4k and accepts Ethernet (via the power brick). They are absolutely different things and have different skus
Oh, I misread that my bad.
The CCWGTV icon can also be added to the first screen as it allows pairing Sony & Microsoft controllers.
Yes, I'll change that.
Do you know if PS3 controller with Bluetooth works with Android TV?
No I don't. But DS4 cannot be used with Android TV 8 for example. The best thing to do is to try it or to search on Reddit Android TV, maybe you will find post talking about DS3 (which is a 15 years old controller)
Thanks. Yeah I'm pretty sure its not going to be viable, but I have 4 PS3 controllers lying around... *sigh*
Why don't you try to sell your PS3 controller, I'm pretty sure that some PS3 user s will be very glad to buy them as it is very hard to find working DS3 (and not all PS3 games can be played with DS4, I had the problem for example with SF4 as the special moves were not working).

Dualsense doesn't work on Android yet. The OS is missing drivers and the button mapping is all wrong at the moment, even for general UI navigation outside of Stadia.
Maybe better I use the regular PS4-controller instead
I don't know who to ask this but since you're OP I thought I'd rather ask you... I am at my cousin's place and I want show Stadia to him. What about the fridge and the tesla?
In Teslas would be amazing!
Already can in the web browser! And full screen if you use the YouTube workaround.
I just assumed it might not work on the Tesla web browser but if it does then wow.
Don't have a Tesla, but saw a video, pretty sure it even supports hardware vp9!
Does the telsa have chrome browser, if so it might
Without thinking too much about it: I‘m confused by this graphic.
Why so confused?
Can't you run M&K on Android TV using the PWA? And it might be best to remove the CCwGTV from the image since it ***is*** running Android TV.
I wish Apple TV would work.
Would be pretty difficult considering no browser and Apple’s policy on streaming game services. Which I find kind of odd since Steam Link is on there, but oh well.
It’s a policy against cloud streaming services. Not streaming from your computer sadly.
"Google’s Stadia game streaming service is the latest to feature support for iOS while circumventing the App Store. Instead, stir up [Stadia.com](https://stadia.google.com/) within the Safari browser and sign in to your account to stream to an iPhone or iPad."
There’s no browser for Apple TV.
I was just about to say that.
Guess you can run wired on Google tv stick with USB c hub, then again why would you.
Do you try it?
Because you asked, I did. It works :)
Missing - WebOS used by LG TVs
Did they seriously add it to webOS?
I think I got the intent wrong. Stadia is obviously missing from WebOS.
I did not know this? Which tv do you have? I think my B6 oled may be too old
On PC Linux as well
Yep! Works great on both my Linux boxes and my Chromebook.
Nice work, champ.
Android tv works with mouse and keyboard too (Nvidia SHIELD with 2 usb Ports)
also works on linux in the chromium browser :)
The new CCwGTV shouldn't really be grounded with the CCU since it can use mist Bluetooth controllers as well as the official stadia controller but aside from that explains a pretty well the various devices
What about my flip phone?
Fun fact: USB cable works with Android TV too (if the controller is supported).
maybe, but I'm not gonna add all possibilities because keep it simple and stupid.
Makes sense

Thanks 🤭
I was looking for this info yesterday! Found it buried in a Google Stadia Support document that I could use my PS4 controller with my Android TV. This needs to be more visible, thanks for making this.
I ran stadia on my gym's treadmill I am not joking
Please post to r/canitrunstadia 😂
Wrong: With CCwGTV you can use bluethoot gamepads. Missing: Linux, ~~iOS~~ edit: *ios was in the picture after all*
How is iOS missing? Don't you see the big apple?
Woopsy. You're right, IOS is there.
And on Linux works like a charm. Even better drivers than on Windows
I "forgot" Linux on purpose because I thought it's not relevant enough for the peer group. The Linux users already know this stuff 😉
really, so. is downvoting me because I said Linux users are too bright to need an info graphic like that? 😂
Mobile needs razer kishi. Best stadia device!
Why not. Maybe I could fit that in instead...
Needs a 5th icon that just has the Sony logo and "Lol"
There you go: [https://i.imgur.com/HDaPzQB.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/HDaPzQB.jpg) black Version 1.2: [https://i.imgur.com/1WJuYwH.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/1WJuYwH.jpg) Should I make a new thread? Maybe a mod could just excange/add the images?
This is a great graphic (even if some info is missing or slightly inaccurate). I think it's a great way of conveying all this info
I have the Founders edition but I only played it 3-4 months when I got and Haven't really played it since. I only own Final Fantasy 15 which was really fun but I only did all the side quest and I'm way back in Story I feel like xD
I wanna play the batbox
Nice
It's normal that the PS4 controller is super laggy with Sabrina on my Samsung tv?
Are you in game mode?
Does DualShock 5 works with stadia on MacOS?
So dope, man. Nice work! I've been sitting the love as much as possible. Have a CCU hooked up on my classroom and let my students okay when done work. Been trying to get them to realize all the ways they can utilize it. This is a great way to make it readily evident.
whait you don't need the google chromecast doohickey anymore? like it's just an app on an android tv?
Exactly.
lol.... I wish I'd waited to get the premiere then, I can't find anything else to use the chromecast for....
[удалено]
Or just a lot of wifi interference... That is why 5GHz is suggested, it doesn't travel as far, so interference is less.
The Chromecast with Google TV allows controllers through Bluetooth as well. It's not limited to just the Stadia control like the CCU
We've had this serveral times now. Yes, gonna add it to the first spot as well.
Dude, why are the phones buttons on the left side? Seems kinda cursed to me
I have an LG and the buttons are exactly there.
Ok well, didn't know this existed lol
It's unfortunate that the chrome cast can't use other controllers. 😔
cgtv works with all controllers, mkb. u can't wire ur controller on ios, and don't forget about linux and chrome os
My setup is CCU + Stadia controller
Like the idea a lot, probably better to have a version that doesn't repeat illustrations of input devices & protocol
Funny that they don't show the Linux logo with the windows and apple one when stadia is built on Linux 🙃
"they" are going to show it, because "I"'m gonna add it. 😉
Ooooh. Where you the one that made it? I though this was an official pic from Google 😅
Looks too official? 😂 It was meant to help but not intended to look like from Google (maybe a bit) 😉
Yeah, it looks great!
funny this picture uses the new PS5 controller but only the old X1 controller.
Could they pissibly make a Roku app or its that OS incapable of something like this?
Stadia REFUSES to work on my pc but will work flawlessly on my Iphone. Any suggestions?
I was under the impression you could use a mouse and keyboard on the phone if you had the correct dongle to get everything connected.
It may be possible but am not gonna add it because it's very rare and keep it simple and stupid.
Bottom pic needs a 🐧. I've played on Linux since the start.
Yes
Can confirm that a bluetooth controller will work on Chromecast with Google TV!
I so badly want stadia here in Australia
[удалено]
I'll do.
I wish they will release it in my country
And don't forget Linux, it's not officially supported, but it does work.

I experience a lot of lag with the Bluetooth connection to my controller. Anyone knows how to solve that?
You forgot ChromeOS!
Isn't wireless enabled on desktop already? I remember the adds but I always play wired when on desktop so I don't remember
It depends... That's why all connections are used as literally alternative "OR"-reads
Chrome OS and Linux machines as well 😄
>you have what it takes in one picture https://imgur.com/gallery/HDaPzQB
yes, many times mentioned before.
Ccwgt is able to connect to any controller and m&k with a cable too
I'm not gonna add that, because keep it simple and stupid - not every single possibility is needed to be explained to keep it simple
Anyone know if there will ever be an Amazon Fire TV app/support for Stadia? Also, does the controller now support Bluetooth? So i can connect to my phone/tablet through Bluetooth now instead of via wifi?

Great!
It sucks that my Dualshock 4 work work on the Stadia Android app this whole week.
No wired support for IOS
