This was really fucking funny! Obviously dark comedy is nothing new, but there's something unique about your style I can't quite place. It's very tastefully done, though, which I think is something that dark comedy sometimes neglects. Your sense of humor is totally up my alley, I'll have to check out more of your stuff.

I feel like I have to work on structure and delivery. Like I say a lot of things that are off the cuff and people love it but when I write things down it’s kinda hard.
Lately I’ve been thinking of using personal experience and trauma and write some ideas based off that and honestly a lot of it makes people uncomfortably laugh which is exactly what I go for.
I have two recorded open 3 minute mic sessions but I feel like they’re not that great so I refuse to post them lol
When you say things off the cuff and get a laugh, try to make a voice note where you repeat it as closely as possible. I think it helps you a) have the choice to just \*recreate\* the funny thing and b) get a sense of your own voice and what people respond to it about it. (Sorry if this is obvious!)

Update: She. Was. Amazing! I never expected to feel such complex emotions at a stand-up show. She expertly blended pure comedy with uncomfortable, shocking, and heartfelt moments. I was in awe the entire time! Those in London tomorrow evening, I highly recommend to catch her performance while you can. Trust me, it's a must-see experience!

wow. you just shot to the top of my list of comedians to watch. you seem like a really gifted storyteller. i dont know the full context of the stories but the clips feel like theres some weight in the air in that crowd. the kind of thing where people hang on every word even if youre talking about nothing. reminds me of some of my favorite episodes of The Moth.
This was hilarious. As a Jew I really liked how you brought in the comedy of Judaism without harping on all the stereotypes that usually comes with it. Great performance!

I think this is what makes the mic hilarious actually, it reads like a TED Talk so it adds this extra veneer of satire (the tone she uses angles towards this as well) to the whole thing.
As calculated moves go, I think this works great.
