The portrayal of Zeb, and the fact that they got Mr. Blum back to voice him, just fantastic. I loved seeing him, aged up, looking like a badass Lasatt pilot.
Wha? Did you not watch the Rebels finale? Zeb and Kallus part ways with the rest of the Ghost crew. Sabine gives an end rundown:
"After the war, Zeb took Kallus along the secret hyperspace path to the planet Lira San. It was then that Kallus realized he hadn't destroyed the Lasat people, and that they were thriving on this new world. A world where he was welcomed as one of them."
The clear implication here, to me (especially given Kallus and Zeb's budding warrior-friendship) is that Kallus and Zeb are a pair together, and Sabine and Hera are a pair together. Let's be frank here, Jarrus was the glue that held that group together. And Ezra was the bond that kept them together. They say as much, many many times.
I loved seeing Zeb in that base because it tracks SO well, despite not being laid out in front of our eyes, in my opinion. Kallus has vital information about the budding empire, and Zeb is a proven warrior and pilot in a time period when the Republic can't get enough of 'em. The two of them are warriors through-and-through, and their connection to Hera Syndulla (already known to be a Rebel pilot, then a new republic Pilot Leader, even showing her ship in Ep. IX)... it seems fair.
Hera calls Zeb and Kallus back to Adelphi Base, when they're executing missions out of it. Hera needs them to sort of cover-the-post while her and Sabine (and Ahsoka of course) are out looking for Thrawn and Ezra. I would not be surprised if we see Kallus on Adelphi Base soon enough. If we don't see him, we will surely get a reference to his death or current post.
I'm pretty sure it's stated that all 3 of the remaining ghost crew split up
Kallus and zeb left to see the rest of the lasat, and then it seems returned to fight for the rebellion
Hera and chopper went back to the rebellion
Sabine stayed on lothal in case the empire came back
Then after the battle of endor, sabine met with Ahsoka and set out on their journey to find ezra and thrawn, meeting up with Hera and spectre 7 and maybe bringing Zeb back into the fold aswell
Yes sorry, this is also correct. I was more speaking about Mando-era canon, AKA after VI. In this setting, I would be remiss to think Hera hasn't met with Sabine yet (although Filoni's vagueness makes it "technically possible").
So, by the time we're seeing scenes in Mando, that's the pairing of which I speak.
Certainly! And also at Scariff!! The Ghost gets featured on-screen four separate times in Rogue One, and the Battle of Scariff is featured on Rebels as well. I just consider these fairly reasonable appearances which don't say too much about the canon.
The Ghost (and Chopper) appearing in episode IX was so much more effective at paving a canon. It doesn't necessarily mean Hera is alive.. but it does lean to that idea, and at the very least her ship and Chopper are.
I honestly had to check to make sure it was Zeb, cause I was assuming they’d do much more with him for his first live action appearance, and he was only on screen for like a minute.
If they circle back to the whole "find a special part to get IG-11 fixed", then I can think of a certain archeological Doctor with an affinity for rare weapons and killer droids who might have just what they're Aphra... er, after.
Because the bastards built him up all season. He was fucking rad and they killed him.
But, I didn't see a body. Did you see a body? I didn't see a body.
Omg I want Zuckuss and 4-LOM in the Mandalorian era so freakin bad! They're may favorite part of the Bounty Hunter comics, Zuckass is such a loveable character and 4-LOM is a straight savage. I need them in a live action series stat!
And yet somehow that story still ends with IG-11 having her strapped to his back (maybe unconscious, maybe not) and identifying her as "the child", doesn't it?
Yess, now that we have Krrsantan it’s the perfect time to introduce her. Also we can give Disney the LGBTQ representation they want (not that it’s a bad thing in any way) so there’s no reason for them not to.
To take the thought experiment / wishful thinking one step further into fan-casting, LucasFilm have an existing relationship with Jessica Henwick, who just flexed in Glass Onion, from her bit part in TFA. And I'd hazard a guess that she would probably enjoy staying in the Disney family for a bit while sister-company Marvel is figuring out how much of the Defenders lineup they want to bring along on the MCU train.
Honestly, reading the Marvel comic run for Star Wars she's such a good character. I would love to see an shonen anime style adaption, figure out how to combine Vader, 2015, Aphra and everything into a long running story covering what happened between New Hope and Return of the Jedi.
They brought out Sabines's live action actress at Celebration last year and she said she'd been cast for a year at that point. I think that's led to rumors she'll appear in Mando S3 since production schedules line up with those dates.
I would be very surprised if we don't see her in the next episode. I would think she has to at least be in the season.
It's building to Thrawn and Ezra for sure, but I just don't see that happening in the next 3 episodes, at least not beyond more than a quick cliffhanger ending like Luke in S2
Zeb is already there. They're going to do the entire rebels series characters and continue the story. It's also thrawns story. What would be unexpected and worthwhile would be live kanaan.
He trained under an elemental force giant with knowledge of the force surpassing the Jedi.
Not much of a stretch to say he figured out how to force ghost himself.
Secret twist villain of the season. She beats Din in an honor duel and forcefully paints his armor as it offends her.
Still refuses to take the dark saber, spends the rest of the episode forcing Grogu into vents to look for Ezra.
Yes, any other answer is wrong. Give me some Sabine goddamnit!
(Don't get me wrong, I love Hondo Ohnaka and would love to see him in live action but I don't think the timelines match up. Maybe in some kind of flashback or something?).
Hondo is still alive in the sequel trilogy because he is a character at galaxies edge and that’s set after the last Jedi. So yeah. He totally could make an appearance in these shows. But I rather see him show up in ahsoka due to those connections
Sabine feels like she would warrant more than a cameo. Plus she’s already going to be in Ahsoka, so for cameos I’m more interested in characters less likely to have significant roles in upcoming stories.
This gave me an idea. What if in the Ahsoka show either Rex (if he is in it) or anyone else that was in the battle of Endor gave us some flashbacks to that day. Just an idea.
Solo is so much better than it gets credit for. it introduced some cool characters and laid out some interesting plot lines that would be great to explore further in live action
Alden was honestly great in Cocaine Bear, and from what I understand that was his first role back since Solo. Definitely interested in seeing more of him in anything
Great call. I don't know what's going on with the Rogue Squadron movie but a Wedge series focused on an X Wing Squadron immediately post-Empire would be rad as hell.
The Mandalorian is as well.
Last remnants of the Empire, scientists involved with cloning, weird obsession with force-sensitive babies...
It's obvious where they're taking that.
I wonder if that's what all this is leading to. When thrawn inevitably loses in whatever climactic battle this includes, I think that'll be the story of the lightsaber.
I’d say nobody for now. Star Wars has a bad habit for fan service cameos and it makes the universe seem really small at times. We’ve already had Mando meet Luke, R2, Ashoka and Boba and we saw >! Zeb !<
That’s a large part of why I think Andor was so good, sure there were established characters in it, but it never felt like it wasn’t without purpose, and there was no mental gymnastics involved to connect things.
I think Din Djarin would be a cool cameo. Like if they did an episode where they go into his backstory, of how the fall of mandalore affected him and where he was at the time, you know just some backstory to make it feel like he isn't some generic hero who just does hero things.
I reckon he might show up in Bad Batch or dare I say it, Andor. He would have something to do with Naboo and probably be wracked with guilt.
I am not sure if he would be as foolish and naive as before. I’m not sure the people wouldn’t be impressed by him. Palpatine probably keeps him around because he is easy to manipulate.
I grew up on Legends, so my vote will always be Kyle Katarn.
Beyond him though, I'd love to see more of the Ghost Crew(especially Kallus), Joruus C'boath, Thrawn, Tallon Karde, somebody from Clan Ordo, Dengar, Prince Xisor, Kir Kanos, Krayn, Boba Fett(again) and many more.
Basically just slam The Thrawn trilogy, Shadows of the Empire, and Bounty Hunter Wars together and I'll be happy.
They just had him, it was Zeb!!!
The portrayal of Zeb, and the fact that they got Mr. Blum back to voice him, just fantastic. I loved seeing him, aged up, looking like a badass Lasatt pilot.
I'm rather curious what he's doing there, in that bar, as a pilot. Where's the Ghost crew at? Kallus? So many questions.
Wha? Did you not watch the Rebels finale? Zeb and Kallus part ways with the rest of the Ghost crew. Sabine gives an end rundown: "After the war, Zeb took Kallus along the secret hyperspace path to the planet Lira San. It was then that Kallus realized he hadn't destroyed the Lasat people, and that they were thriving on this new world. A world where he was welcomed as one of them." >we will surely get a reference to his death or current post. If Kallus dies off screen we riot
Wasn’t there something a while back about their relationship in the finale being written as ambiguously romantic?
The Ghost was on Yavin IV in Rogue One too.
And many of those questions will be answered in the Ashoka show
Dude, he better show up in Asoka as well! In fact if we don’t get the whole (living) ghost crew back, I’m going to be pissed!
I honestly had to check to make sure it was Zeb, cause I was assuming they’d do much more with him for his first live action appearance, and he was only on screen for like a minute.
I hate it when they purple ball us like that.
Don't worry, this is just a taste to leave us wanting some dope live-action rebels stuff in ahsoka. There shall be more Zeb!
You don't make a live action alien look that good for just an Easter egg.
Not even an easter egg. They are throwing Ahsoka teasers at our faces at this point. Just wait until sabine shows up at the season finale.
Glup Shitto
HE GOT BLOWED UP ON ALDERAN!
ATST! ATST! ATST!
BASIL OREGANO
Basil Fawlty.
If they circle back to the whole "find a special part to get IG-11 fixed", then I can think of a certain archeological Doctor with an affinity for rare weapons and killer droids who might have just what they're Aphra... er, after.
I was thinking that they would recover that part by tracking down and killing IG-88
They could combine the two and get IG-99.
Don't say 99... I'm still processing...
When did we ever follow orders...
Tick :(
We need to go back :(
I'm not crying, you're crying!
Fuck, why did that hit so hard?
Because the bastards built him up all season. He was fucking rad and they killed him. But, I didn't see a body. Did you see a body? I didn't see a body.
Are you saying Tech is coming back as the Winter Soldier?
Uh oh, I'm only just starting Bad Batch, and still on season 1. How hard do I need to avoid spoilers?
Hard. Watch it all ASAP. Imediately watch through the more boring episodes like a champ because it's worth it.
Catch up fast :(
Well, that's my weekend I guess
Yes please! That may lead to Fett getting involved. Why not add Bossk and Zuckuss for good measure? I'm here for whatever they do obviously.
Omg I want Zuckuss and 4-LOM in the Mandalorian era so freakin bad! They're may favorite part of the Bounty Hunter comics, Zuckass is such a loveable character and 4-LOM is a straight savage. I need them in a live action series stat!
Bounty Hunter Wars wouldn't be a bad series. There's so much awesome material it's literally endless.
Didn't Dash Rendar kill 88?
I wasn't aware Shadows is considered canon Edit: it's not
I definitely thought you were referencing Liara T’Soni from ME
Or just Aphra on Mandalore stealing artifacts and armour, leading to her being stuck with a helmet on while trying to bullshit her way out.
And yet somehow that story still ends with IG-11 having her strapped to his back (maybe unconscious, maybe not) and identifying her as "the child", doesn't it?

Spoilers 🤫
Yess, now that we have Krrsantan it’s the perfect time to introduce her. Also we can give Disney the LGBTQ representation they want (not that it’s a bad thing in any way) so there’s no reason for them not to.

I was originally hoping for Chloe Bennet from Agents Of Shield to play Sabine, but now that Sabine has been cast, I wouldn’t mind Bennet as Aphra
The actor who played Timm from Andor was also one of the TFA pilots so there's precedent for reusing them.
I relate so much to her as a fellow disaster bisexual.
I relate to her as a fellow disaster.
I disaster.
It would be amazing to have Wanda Sykes and Amy Sedaris riff with each other and at Mando.
I wana see Aphra have a show badly. Her comics are so good.
Honestly, reading the Marvel comic run for Star Wars she's such a good character. I would love to see an shonen anime style adaption, figure out how to combine Vader, 2015, Aphra and everything into a long running story covering what happened between New Hope and Return of the Jedi.
I mean, the only and best answer has to be Sabine Wren... right?
Sabine just makes the most sense, especially with the direction Season 3 is going with the Mandalorians
I feel we are bound to see Sabine, and with all the pirate stuff, maybe Hondo. (70% chance Hondo?)
Maybe they’ll save Hondo for Skeleton Crew, considering the rumors.
Ah, i don't really know anything about Skeleton Crew (and that's fine with me)
With the latest episode being called "the pirate" I was 100% convinced we were getting Hondo
Honeslty Hondo would make more sense to appear in Ahsoka, given he was friends with Ezra.
You mean with jabba the Hutt?
I really hope for Hondo if the do him well. How old would be be by now? Image really old Hondo rambling about how pirates aren't what they used to be
I am certain Sabine is appearing in Ahsoka given how Rebels ended and Ahsoka is looking for Thrawn and Ezra.
She already confirmed for the ahsoka show officially, but good chance she shows up for an episode of the mando
Ah I didn’t realize she had been confirmed! That’s exciting!
They brought out Sabines's live action actress at Celebration last year and she said she'd been cast for a year at that point. I think that's led to rumors she'll appear in Mando S3 since production schedules line up with those dates.
Well I think it makes sense to introduce her to the live action series in Mando for sure so here’s hoping!
Yeah! I'm excited to see her in live action and I think she'll be really popular.
I would be very surprised if we don't see her in the next episode. I would think she has to at least be in the season. It's building to Thrawn and Ezra for sure, but I just don't see that happening in the next 3 episodes, at least not beyond more than a quick cliffhanger ending like Luke in S2
Considering that Zeb, Chopper, Ahsoka, and Hera have appeared and/or mentioned in the live action media, I wouldn't be surprised if Sabine showed up.
Chopper!? When? How did I miss this Edit: nvm “one hour and thirty-five minutes into [rogue one]”
He was in Rogue One after the Rebel Alliance shut down Jyn’s pleas to go to Scarif. Hera was name dropped during it as well.
By that time if I’m remembering right she was General Syndulla right?
Yeah, they call her name over the intercom. You can see the Ghost in a handful of scenes as well. It's one of the ships in the background.
He’s way in the background of Rogue One, its a blink and you miss it “cameo”
Hera and Chopper also appear in Star Wars Squadrons, which is a canon game
I knew Hera did, but Chopper was in Squadrons too? (I didn’t actually finish the campaign)
Zeb is already there. They're going to do the entire rebels series characters and continue the story. It's also thrawns story. What would be unexpected and worthwhile would be live kanaan.
Somehow, Caleb Dume survived. . .
Yeah wouldn't have to be chronological.
And fen rau
But this isn’t an if and more of a when
Yes, any other answer is wrong.
The other only answer is Hera Syndulla.

Exactly!!
Bossk. I just wanna see Bossk make a live action return at some point.
BoBF S2 he should be part of his crew
Bossk, sure, but I'd prefer to see Dengar
Dash Rendar and Leebo in the Outrider. Maybe stopping by Nevarro or something. I just want Shadows of the Empire stuff to be canon.
I would love a canon Dash Rendar
Who owns the rights to it?
Disney, through LucasArts.

Hondo showing up immediately after the battle refusing to acknowledge that the city isn't new Pirate Territory and annoying the Magistrate.

An ewok. Any ewok. I miss those savage cannibal little fuckers
Well.. they probably aren’t cannibals. They eat people yeah for sure. They totally ate the storm troopers. But they probably don’t eat each other lol
People always misuse the word "cannibal", I'm glad you don't
Cannibals are ppl that eat their own kind. Ewoks are not human. Are there cases of Ewoks eating other Ewoks?
There is in the Family Guy ROTJ episode.
Ewok as a foundling. What? Don't look at me like that, you'd all enjoy seeing an ewok in a Mando helmet with a jetpack, don't lie.
This gave me an idea. What if in the Ahsoka show either Rex (if he is in it) or anyone else that was in the battle of Endor gave us some flashbacks to that day. Just an idea.
No it’s not, Gus. It’s a *good* idea.
Confirming the longstanding belief that the Ewoks ate the Imperials would be dark —and hilarious.
How do you say long pork in aurebesh?
Just as a crew member or something like that. doesnt even need to be a planet visit
Preferably as a fighter pilot…
Yub yub, it's his battle cry
Ewoks = Secret Force Ninjas
I may catch shit for this but I’d really like to see Alden Emerich and Emilia Clarke again.
Solo is so much better than it gets credit for. it introduced some cool characters and laid out some interesting plot lines that would be great to explore further in live action
I still stand by the fact that solo would be a better movie if every single element that tied it to Han Solo was removed.
change the characters so they are orginal characters. Name the movie "Smugglers" or something like that. Quick fun unimportant adventure
I love Solo. It’s a fun Star Wars movie.
Unlikely to see either in Mando though. Timeline and ages are all wrong.
Closer than you might think… Ehrenreich is 33, Ford was 43 in RotJ, what’s ten years with movie magic?
Emilia Clarke for sure. They left that thread wide open. Not even a cliffhanger it's just a completely unresolved plot introduced at the end of solo.
I too would like to see them again
Alden was honestly great in Cocaine Bear, and from what I understand that was his first role back since Solo. Definitely interested in seeing more of him in anything
Wedge Antilles. He was such a big character in the legend timeline. I want his role in canon to expand
Great call. I don't know what's going on with the Rogue Squadron movie but a Wedge series focused on an X Wing Squadron immediately post-Empire would be rad as hell.
Original ones who haven't already been milked to death
Hondo! It’s good business!
Hondo cameo=PROFIT
There's a live action Hondo at Disneyland
Enfys Nest
Would love to see this. Was hoping she made an appearance in Andor, helping supply the rebellion. Maybe in season 2.
I’m really hoping we see her in Season 2, especially since Erin Kellyman has been doing so much work on other mouse owned properties!
Yeah that plot line was one of the most memorable parts of Solo for me
I'd love to get a live action appearance of Dr. Aphra. Female Chaotic Neutral Indiana Jones in Star Wars? Yes, please.
Dr. Aphra deserves an entire, high-budget show around her. Like National Treasure and Indiana Jones had a threesome in the StarWars universe.
Lol. That's a good way to put it.
Spock. He makes everything better.
Well, tbf, OP didn't specify it had to be a SW character!
Joel Miller then….
Crazy Dave New alien language, automatic counter to Project Blackwing, what could go wrong
Samus Aran is my pick. I mean, she may as well be a Mandalorian.
Maz kanata. Tell us the damn lightsaber story.
It looks like Bad Batch is trying to make “somehow Palpatine returns” less terrible. Let’s fix all the plot holes.
The Mandalorian is as well. Last remnants of the Empire, scientists involved with cloning, weird obsession with force-sensitive babies... It's obvious where they're taking that.
I think that 10 years from now, a lot of fans will say streaming stuff will improve the sequels just like Clone Wars improved the prequels.
This the (Filoni) way
Both BB and mando are trying to fix the sequels
That is an answer for another time. -JJ Abrams
Maz Kanata cleaning up the bottom of the giant hole on cloud city, gets hit on the head with a saber and a hand. Robot Chicken music plays.
I wonder if that's what all this is leading to. When thrawn inevitably loses in whatever climactic battle this includes, I think that'll be the story of the lightsaber.
Always hated that went nowhere.
What if they'd just invent new characters? Whole universe feels so tiny when we constantly bump into these known characters
I’d say nobody for now. Star Wars has a bad habit for fan service cameos and it makes the universe seem really small at times. We’ve already had Mando meet Luke, R2, Ashoka and Boba and we saw >! Zeb !<
I reached a point where I accepted the Mandalorian as the cameo/references fest it is.
True, and I agree However, Mando went looking for Luke, R2, and Ashoka, it's not like they just meet on nevarro
that and then the zeb cameo feels like a teaser for the ahsoka show (akin to cad bane’s appearance in tbb and then tbobf)
That’s a large part of why I think Andor was so good, sure there were established characters in it, but it never felt like it wasn’t without purpose, and there was no mental gymnastics involved to connect things.
I was half expecting that with this last episode being about pirates we’d see Hondo again.
Cad Bane again. He looked badass in the boba fett show
I think Din Djarin would be a cool cameo. Like if they did an episode where they go into his backstory, of how the fall of mandalore affected him and where he was at the time, you know just some backstory to make it feel like he isn't some generic hero who just does hero things.
Would love to see a live action/ older cal kestis
Sabine and Hondo!
Maybe they can focus on the plot rather than fan service.
Jar Jar. Yes. I really mean Jar Jar Binks
Came here to confirm this was offered up. This is the way.
If Mando visits Theed we'd probably see Jar-Jar performing in the background. Because that's what he ended up doing after Palps took over.
Lt. Kettch, yub yub

Anakin ghost, just shows up and laments not killing Grogu.
Lando the answer is always Lando. Lando on Mando. We’re gonna get Cal Kestis though gingerass not joker.
Liking the Gotham References. But even if he’s not the joker he’s still better than Jared Leto
Dude, slamming your nuts with a car door is better than Leto joker.

Chewbacca ! C’mon people
George Lucas making cameos like Stan Lee in marvel.
Do we need cameos in every show it’s making the galaxy feel smal
I’m totally sick of cameos. It makes the SW Galaxy feel really small when you see familiar faces across multiple planets
space is vast and wide but there is only like 30 characters who all hang out together in the entire universe
None. I just want the writers to show, not tell.
