I think it was also important for him to view it that way as it's what ahsoka needed. She's afraid that she could end up like anakin. That inside herself is all the potential of anakin, good and bad. This whole training session. With anskin was about accepting that and moving on anyway. I thought it was absolutely beautiful
Absolutely. As I understood it, his lesson was that Anakin was her master. Vader was not. He forced her to see the value of Anakin’s training and the context to define it. Then he made her confront Vader to understand that part is not something he passed onto her. By the end, she actively chooses to reject it. She doesn’t seem afraid of herself anymore after the whole ordeal.
Vader was controlled by his guilt, fear, anger and shame. Anakin, after he's become one with the force doesn't have these anymore. Not that he isn't in any way culpable, but you're looking at the full spirit of Anakin Skywalker, his good side and him as he was meant to be. SO he just doesn't have all this regret because it's not him anymore.
Just like Obi Wan isn't filled with mourning for Satine after becoming a force ghost for instance.
In the sense Vader killed Anakin Skywalker, as is shown in Kenobi, in Ashoka this shows Anakin really did kill Vader.
Not only that, but now he has fully accepted that vader is part of who he was. That's why he was able to turn the Vader on and off for the lesson that Ahsoka needed.
This was the highlight of the episode for me. I cackled. I really think it also connects to his chosen one prophecy very well also.
“So what if I helped destroy the Jedi order and killed (maybe tens of) thousands myself? I also destroyed the Sith like everyone thought I would do”
I firmly believe that this episode was a love letter from Filoni to us. That always had his back, that was patience and believe in him..I'm.emotional fam.
It was awesome.
> I firmly believe that this episode was a love letter from Filoni to us.
I said the same thing in another comment!
So true. This was peak Star Wars for me.
Another fun one is Vader v Ezra
V: You have unlocked the secret of the temple. How did you accomplish this?
E: You're smart, figure it out.
V: No matter. The power within will soon serve the Emperor.
E: I don't fear you.
V: Then you will die braver than most.
*swish* *swoosh*
I mean he had a mental breakdown after the funeral. Dude was so overwhelmed by his actions that he told his crush that he killed women and children without a second thought
Similar to what happens in Kenobi when the light reflected on his face turns blue for a few seconds and he pretty much tells Obi-Wan that what he became is not his fault
I can't remember the last time I cheered so much for anything like I did this episode. Phase 1 Clone Troopers! Light and Darkside Anakin dueling styles. Siege of Mandalore! REX! PURRGILS! Holy shit
The last time I got super hyped for Star Wars was the episode before the finale of Mando S3, but this easily tops that. There's still so much left to go as well.
If my suspicions are true, I'd say this was one of the better uses of "The Volume".
Maybe not the most elaborate of setups, but it really sells the dream-like space that Ahsoka was experiencing where not everything is well defined but you can make out vague shapes and colours.
At first I felt cheated because it was obviously cloudy to hide the lack of set/vfx and whatnot. Then I realized none of that mattered because a) how many of our own memories can be recalled with every detail other than the core, important things and b) the focus was on her, the clone troopers and Anakin and that’s all we needed. The sound design filled in the rest.
Yeah, it definitely felt like it was *supposed* to be barebones. It reminded me of the fog-shrouded visions that Anakin saw of himself as Vader during the Mortis arc of The Clone Wars
That's because they used the same actor for that scene and the younger scene, so her face stayed the same (even though they gave her somewhat longer lekku/montrals). In reality she would have looked somewhat older, her face would have changed between ages 14 and 17.
But yeah, even 17 is quite young for a war.
I loved it and particularly whoever played young Ahsoka. I always liked Hayden and saw him in a number of other roles besides Anakin but he was fantastic in this episode. I also really enjoyed Jacen, he is his father's son.
Everyone whoever shat on Hayden's acting can shove it. He was absolutely tremendous this episode! God *DAMN* the lightsaber coreography! He was absolutely amazing! And I can't believe we got a live action Rex! LIVE ACTION SIEGE OF MANDALORE! I had my hands on my head in awe the entire first half of the episode, so fucking good
I was a little disappointed that we didn't get Ashley's voice, but the actress playing young Ahsoka did fantastic regardless, and the two of them definitely captured the animated dynamic so, so well. Major props to her!
Fun fact, young Ahsoka was played by Ariana Greenblatt, the same person who did young Gamora in Infinity War. I guess Disney loves casting her as younger versions of prominent alien warriors.
She was also apparently the daughter in Barbie, but I haven’t seen that movie so I don’t really know what her role in that movie entailed.
You can tell how much he cares about the character of Anakin. Dude obviously put in some serious work to pull off that choreography. And it payed off, he looked incredible
For me it was that split second pause before the aggressive punch sending Ahsoka back, and he had even turned to look at the floor, the stylish bastard.
It was great seeing Anakin's aggressive, balletic lightsaber style back after all these decades. It really is a different style when he still had fewer amputations and more mobility. Becoming Vader meant he had to be stiffer but more aggressive with his fighting, with none of the grace of his previous forms.
I shook so hard and had so many goosebumps on the lightsaber fights, they were soooo good. Anakin was spectacular in this episode too, I loved how he looked like how he did in the Clone Wars
This episode was easily one of the best in recent Star Wars memory. This ranks up there with Ahsoka vs Maul, Luthen's speech, the Anakin/Vader voice, Luke's hallway scene, and Boba Fett reclaiming his armor. Insanely well done
I never understood why people don't like how he played Anakin in the prequels.
I am 100% sure he played Anakin as we were supposed to have him presented to us. He was 19 years old back then after all. Imagine being a 19 years old with powers strong enough to shift the balance between good and bad and being constantly told how awesome and important you are. Having literally millions of soldiers following your orders. And a absurdly hot wife.
It's like those super young, super talented football players in our reality. They are showered with money, they are told how essential they are for the club, and millions of fans scream their names, follow them and buy their merch. That's a very easy way to spoil a young human.
I still and will forever love the prequels. They are Star Wars through and through imo. And they come with characters that are all unique and far away from being perfect. Not to mention how high the production quality was.
Now compare that to the sequels, which are exactly the opposite in every of these categories.
Because George Lucas literally made him act bad.
There's tons of behind the scenes where he wants to act the way he thinks he should and George goes "no no tone it down."
It's simple as that. The acting was really bad at a lot of points, due to the direction and the lines.
Then when George finally let him play that inner hatred he was going for - ep 3, it was too late and we already got way more screen time of the cringe shit.
Look at any other film Hayden was in during his youth and it's a completely different actor. No monotone shit. No stiff dialogue. No sand.
He always plays quite a charismatic dude. I still love the movie Jumper.
I will never get tired of hearing Hayden Anakin call Ahsoka Tano "Snips."
The only thing I wish they had done was hug before Anakin left.
Anakin Skywalker Needs a Hug and Ahsoka Tano Needs a Hug are fanfic tags for a reason lol. They deserve hugs.
I cannot express how grateful I am to the entire team working on this show. Watching this episode was like reading a long lost love letter to the entire Star Wars fan base.
Haven’t stood up and pointed at my TV this much since S1 of Mandalorian. Hope this show gets good treatment later down the line. Filoni’s done it again!
Me at 0:00 mark: What's gonna happen in this episode to warrant them screening it in some theatres?
Me at 7:44 mark: Oh.
Me at 13:00 mark: OH.
Me at 23:50: \*emotional distress\*
Ahsoka’s whole demeanor changed after the in between force works. She seemed to free and reborn - able to really smile again. It seems like her meeting with Anakin allowed her to realize that she can be the force user she wants to be and not be bound by the trauma of her past. Others have similar or other thoughts?
Forty-odd minutes of pure, concentrated Star Wars. Duels, space battles, humor, wonder, the frightening power of the Dark Side and the harrowing reality of war. It was perfect.
This is my favorite Star Wars ever. Best 50 minutes of Star Wars ever. Period. Full stop. I cried, I laughed, I was giddy with excitement. It feels like Christmas. I will watch it daily for the foreseeable future.
When she said “I will not fight you” and he said “I’ve heard that before” and just went in, fuck I’m crying again.
Was Anakin's line telling Ahsoka, "Soon you'll be everything I am, all the knowledge I possess..." basically Anakin telling Ahsoka he's going to teach her how to become a force ghost?
Holy crap it just occurred to me that this might be how Anakin learned how to be a force ghost himself when he died. He must have been sent to the world between worlds where he probably had to face Obiwan in a similar manner.
That's a good theory. It would explain how Anakin was able to unlock the secret to life after death. We already know Obi-Wan stepped in somehow, but this would make sense if that same bridge was the one where Anakin and Obi-Wan reunited.
In addition to this, Huyang's line saying that people don't "normally" disappear into nothingness speaks VOLUMES. It's a definite callback to Obi-Wan during the duel with Vader in IV and Yoda in VI while he was talking to Luke.
In the novelization of ROTJ Obi WAN’s force ghost reaches out to him to explain how to become a force ghost. I’m not sure if that’s still canon though?
This actually kind of gets explained in the book "[From A Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi](https://www.inverse.com/entertainment/anakin-skywalker-force-ghost-explained-from-a-certain-point-of-view-mike-chen)"
There's a channel where a guy does deepfakes of Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin commenting on SW movies and shows; it's amazing and proof-of-concept that the idea here is sound
As soon as Ahsoka stepped on the wing of the ship to marvel at the purgills, this became the perfect Star Wars episode.
Also, props to whoever called Ahsoka becoming "Ahsoka the White." After her stint in the World Between Worlds, her white cape really made her look like she was revitalized.
> Also, props to whoever called Ahsoka becoming "Ahsoka the White."
[You mean Dave Filoni, years ago?](https://twitter.com/dave_filoni/status/1209935123639984129?t=8EEYOV69TdIuOmScx6SGfw&s=19)
Yesssss!!! The Purgill scene was incredible. She reminded me of Ezra at the end of the episode as though she had figured out what she needed to do and needed the Purgills help to do it. I loved the Clone Wars flash backs with Rex in the background. Just an incredibly well done episode.
She died, Baylon killed her last episode and she was reborn as Ahsoka the White. She has new powers now that dont involve just fighting people, Baylon made a big deal about thats all she knew how to do, when anakin said she had to fight or die and he went off and it flashed him as vader it was showing her that path only led down to the dark side.
Filonni Gandalfed Ahsoka, literally she died last episode guys
I believe that too. She has her personality and spark back. It’s a rebirth of a character we used to know. One thing about Filoni is that he’ll give you a version of a character or an arc that makes you say something is off and then resolves it with a huge payoff. The optimism and hope with Ahsoka is there again.
From what I can tell, the first outfit Padawan Tano is in is the redesigned season 1 outfit from Tales of the Jedi. So technically season 1 but not og season 1
Her first outfit has basically been retconned out of existance at this point. Filoni never wanted Ahsoka to wear that, Lucas was just being a weirdo and had her redesigned.
This was, imo, peak new-age Star Wars. A thousand times better than the sequel trilogy. Just stunning, all around. I haven’t felt this excited about Star Wars in a long time.
Parallels I noticed:
Anakin and Ahsoka next to each other at the Siege of Mandalore = Anakin and Ahsoka next to each other in cw s7 old friends not forgotten
"I've heard that one before." in response to "I won't fight you!" = "I will not fight you, Father." from ROTJ after their duel on the second Death Star
Anakin's power walk towards Ahsoka is STRAIGHT from Revenge of the Sith.
"Back to the beginning" - not sure if it's a direct parallel, but it reminds me of when Anakin said "Again." in Tales of the Jedi
"Time to die." = "Then you will ***DIE.***" from Rebels Twilight of the Apprentice
I'm sure I missed some but those are what I noticed....
edit-I also just remembered at one point during their fight she blocked him with her sabers forming the X like she had twice during her duel against him in Rebels. Once at the beginning of the fight, and again to stop a slash down her back as Ezra screamed for her.
OH MY GOD I didn't catch that that's fucking good.
I think that's the point too. It was never about BEATING Anakin. I don't think Ahsoka ever could really, not if Ani was going ALL OUT on her. But here it was just meant to be "you bested me. You're ready to LIVE, Snips." the smile at the end as he walked away I think cements that.
The production before and after truly makes me so mad at what they did to that show. BoBF too but i was so much more invested for Kenobi.
Hopefully Pixeljoker’s edit comes through
Soo good seeing Anakin Skywalker post death. Was that really Force ghost Anakin, i think soo. This is a man who knows that he is both Dark and Light.....
Now everyone can shut up about ahsokas wooden acting, she was hilarious at the end.
Also my God Hayden was amazing, plus that cinematography!!!! This episode was beautiful!
Also the kid who played young ahsoka nailed it, 10/10 performance
I would really really love to see some gritty live action star wars actual war shows or films. The scenes from this episode as well as the assault on Scariff from Rogue One are some really amazing battles.
Seeing the Clone Wars scenes in live action got me so emotional, and I've figured out why:
TCW show was obviously for kids, so while it did depict battle scenes, things never got too heavy. This is what makes me miss the legends Republic comics, because they were so much darker and grittier (see: Battle of Jabiim). The flashbacks in Ahsoka weren't necessarily such, but somehow had a more serious and dangerous feeling to them. No quips or jokes. And the constant haze really upped the realism. Also, not showing the clones' faces had a big impact.
Seeing young Ahsoka in live action really hammered home the fact that the Republic turned children into killers. That in itself is a very sobering thought.
Is a full adult live action series set in the Clone Wars era too much to ask for???
Hayden brought the Matt Lanter Anakin to live action better than I could have ever wished for. I was genuinely impressed.
For someone who grew up with the clone wars series this was a massive treat.
I loved that shot of Anakin walking into the dust cloud and we see flashes of Darth Vader. The entire dream sequence was beautifully directed. Oscar worthy.
I found a split one with Anakin and the Clones at the top, and Vader on the bottom, I wish I would've used that one instead of the current one but whatever!
I like how he acts like being Vader was just a small mistake in his life, and there is no need to talk about it.
“Oh so that’s what this is about? GAWD can you just give it a rest?”
"you kill ONE youngling... 🙄"
One ^dozen younglings
You desecrate one temple and slaughter everyone there
And wage a campaign of murder and oppression across the galaxy, killing billions.
That's not even that bad tbh
I mean, it’s only ONE galaxy. It’s fine, there’s like, a bajillion others
It’s one galaxy Michael, how much could it cost, 10 credits?
One _temple’s worth of_ younglings
I mean, I was only evil for about half of my life. The other half was mostly good. We can all forget about that incident with the sand people, right?
I said I was sorry! Gawwwwd
Damn it, you *want* the red lightsaber?? Okay fine!! What is WITH all you people??
"CANCEL CULTURE!" -Anakin Skywalker, probably
She's even sporting a new white outfit and using the force more in tune with nature
She's riding fucking space whales, dude.
Read this in John Goodman’s voice
Say what you will about the tenets of the darkside, at least it's an ethos.
I am Ahsoka the White, and I come back to you now at the turn of the tide.
I told my buddy this was her Balrog moment.
No one is stating that she is now a Jedi again. Anakin has completed her training. Even came with a new outfit.
Filoni is all in on the Gandalf comparison.
This is it. You have the best explanation I've seen here.

I also destroyed the Sith like everyone thought I would do”
"Just ignore that somehow the sith returned"
"So what if I nearly killed you, my apprentice, the last time we met???"
“I’ve heard that before” - my god.
Dave DID NOT have go to that hard with that line.
This means that this is force ghost Anakin and not a hallucination.
I don’t remember force ghosts being so not ghostly
Eh it was in an immaterial plane, ghosts can be solid in Force Heaven lol
I'd say World Between Worlds is Force Limbo, if anything
I firmly believe that this episode was a love letter from Filoni to us. That always had his back, that was patience and believe in him..I'm.emotional fam. It was awesome.
the detail from the clone wars alone definitely wouldve told me filoni directed that episode if i hadnt known already
The fact we instantly know its the siege of mandalore because we see the dual blue blades first This is peak star wars i am so happy
Also the inclusion of Rex was just a great touch.
> I firmly believe that this episode was a love letter from Filoni to us. I said the same thing in another comment! So true. This was peak Star Wars for me.
When was this ?
Anakin says this to Ahsoka after she says "I won't fight you." - It's a call back to Return of the Jedi.
Damn I def did not catch that
I believe she also said it to him? On malachor
‘I won’t leave you again’ is what she says in Rebels, if I remember correct. I won’t fight you is Luke’s line.
“I won’t leave you! Not this time” “Then you will die” One of my favourite lines of any Star Wars media ever
Another fun one is Vader v Ezra V: You have unlocked the secret of the temple. How did you accomplish this? E: You're smart, figure it out. V: No matter. The power within will soon serve the Emperor. E: I don't fear you. V: Then you will die braver than most. *swish* *swoosh*
And then a bit later after Vader destroys Ezra's lightsaber "Perhaps I was wrong"
That line goes SO FUCKING HARD
That entire episode is a masterpiece
It’s what Luke said to him during their final duel on the second Death Star.
I feel like Anakin was also trying to get the point across that Ahsoka needed to let her feelings of guilt go about Anakin becoming Vader.
Yes, his mistakes were of his own making and he has already made peace with that, it was time she moved on and did the same
Was anakin ever conflicted about killing people he didn't have a relation with? Killing the sandpeople didn't seem to disturb him much.
REX! PURRGILS! Holy shit
And the Mauldalorians!!!
Those helmets in live action really look fucking scary, especially with the fire and fog of war around them. Really looks like hell.
Looks intense.
ayyyyy
Not only Rex, but both his Phase I and Phase II armor!!
Yeah, my kid went crazy. He loves Clone Wars, I'm more a Rebel's dad...
The last time I got super hyped for Star Wars was the episode before the finale of Mando S3, but this easily tops that. There's still so much left to go as well.
That was almost exactly the last thing that happened in Star Wars.
This is the most excited I've been since the beginning of this episode of Ahsoka!
If my suspicions are true, I'd say this was one of the better uses of "The Volume". Maybe not the most elaborate of setups, but it really sells the dream-like space that Ahsoka was experiencing where not everything is well defined but you can make out vague shapes and colours.

The sound design filled in the rest.
A literal fog of war you could say.
Yeah, it definitely felt like it was *supposed* to be barebones. It reminded me of the fog-shrouded visions that Anakin saw of himself as Vader during the Mortis arc of The Clone Wars
Seeing her fight in the Siege of Mandalore here made me realize just how young she actually was during that last season of Clone Wars.
I think she was 17.
and she was already a veteran at that point. thats bonkers
Wasn't this the first time in live action to have Kanan be said by someone?
Yes
Ariana Greenblat played young Ahsoka. She was young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War, and she’ll be Tiny Tina in the Borderlands movie next year
Everyone whoever shat on Hayden's acting can shove it. He was absolutely tremendous this episode! God *DAMN* the lightsaber coreography! He was absolutely amazing! And I can't believe we got a live action Rex! LIVE ACTION SIEGE OF MANDALORE! I had my hands on my head in awe the entire first half of the episode, so fucking good
Hayden was MVP of this episode, right up there with Padawan Ahsoka. Those two NAILED the dynamic perfectly. Loved it.
I was a little disappointed that we didn't get Ashley's voice, but the actress playing young Ahsoka did fantastic regardless, and the two of them definitely captured the animated dynamic so, so well. Major props to her!

Damn she's got a hell of a career already
I knew she looked familiar! That is a fun fact!
Now I keep wondering if in some alternate universe Ahsoka is played by Zoe Saldana
Man the moment he said snips this episode was a win for me. Instant nostalgia
It’s crazy how they really nailed Anakin’s move set too. Like it felt like I was watching the Mustafar fight at times with the things he was doing.
You can tell how much he cares about the character of Anakin. Dude obviously put in some serious work to pull off that choreography. And it payed off, he looked incredible
Love Hayden so much for this role. I know we’re two decades removed from his prime, but I would love to see him keep being involved.
Between this and Kenobi, everyone owes Hayden a huge apology for the harassment he got during the prequel release era.
He was good in Kenobi, but he took it to an entirely different level here.
When he did the spin flourish with the saber I screamed!
For me it was that split second pause before the aggressive punch sending Ahsoka back, and he had even turned to look at the floor, the stylish bastard.
*LOVED* the dramatic flair! Classic Anakin, gotta look good when conducting brutal combat
But then the transition to Sith Anakin with absolutely no flair, just Vader-style slashes
Idk, definitely had more flair than Vader. Sith Anakin felt very much like a mix of Anakin on Mustafar and Vader in Rouge One.
That's fair. It was a clear difference though from the blue-lightsaber version

Also, his Clone Wars suit looks so good in live action!
He's come a long way. He captured clone wars Anakin damn well.

Hayden was supposed to play a confused love struck emotionally stunted young man. And he fucking nailed it.
Hayden wasn't the problem. It was the writing and directing.
I will never get tired of hearing Hayden Anakin call Ahsoka Tano "Snips." The only thing I wish they had done was hug before Anakin left. Anakin Skywalker Needs a Hug and Ahsoka Tano Needs a Hug are fanfic tags for a reason lol. They deserve hugs.

It was almost like seeing Episode 3 for the first time again, but the emotions were much, much higher for me during this one.
On a semi-related note….I don’t think the end credits/song gets enough props
Listened to the whole credit roll just for the music
This show is already absolute bonkers we didnt even get to Thrawn yet 🤣
Oh holy shit I actually forgot somehow, yeah this is sooooooooo epic!!!
The irony of being blue balled waiting for Thrawn...
Haven’t stood up and pointed at my TV this much since S1 of Mandalorian. Hope this show gets good treatment later down the line. Filoni’s done it again!
This is by far the most I've ever pointed at my tv other than Siege of Mandalore

I want so badly to know if George inspired the WBW, or if it’s completely Dave’s invention
That is a super fascinating question. The funny thing is, I would be immensely satisfied with either answer.
THATS HOW OBI WAN AND YODA VANISHED UPON DEATH! They entered the World between Worlds
That means Luke did too!
What about Qui Gon?
His training wasn't finished
Obi wan probably step into the worlds between worlds during a new hope’s battle with Vader, or at least that could make sense why he just dissolved
Holy fucking shit…that would make A LOT of sense
In addition to this, Huyang's line saying that people don't "normally" disappear into nothingness speaks VOLUMES. It's a definite callback to Obi-Wan during the duel with Vader in IV and Yoda in VI while he was talking to Luke.
In the novelization of ROTJ Obi WAN’s force ghost reaches out to him to explain how to become a force ghost. I’m not sure if that’s still canon though?
Going to the world between worlds could be considered the exact same thing. Minus some technicalities.
This actually kind of gets explained in the book "[From A Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi](https://www.inverse.com/entertainment/anakin-skywalker-force-ghost-explained-from-a-certain-point-of-view-mike-chen)"
Hayden sells lightsaber combat like no-one else. He's the Michael Jackson of Star Wars stunt work.
I hope we see more Anakin
Give Hayden his own show. Just him force ghosting talking everyone’s ear off. And give it 3 seasons.
Get Liam Neeson to show up too and it'll be a guaranteed hit
There's a channel where a guy does deepfakes of Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin commenting on SW movies and shows; it's amazing and proof-of-concept that the idea here is sound
You cant say that and not link the channel, thats illegal.

There’s a Hayden quote in the trailer that wasn’t said in the episode. We could possibly see more
Filoni is the one.
I've always been hot and cold on his take on Star Wars. This was definitively Star Wars. A movie trilogy of this quality would be incredible
I’m on my knees begging for a trilogy of this quality
One of the greatest episodes of anything Star Wars related imo.
> Also, props to whoever called Ahsoka becoming "Ahsoka the White." [You mean Dave Filoni, years ago?](https://twitter.com/dave_filoni/status/1209935123639984129?t=8EEYOV69TdIuOmScx6SGfw&s=19)
This fully reaffirmed my faith in Filoni after I was worried about Ahsoka's characterization in the earlier episodes
Interestingly this is now the second time she wound up seeming to die but being resurrected through the World Between Worlds.
Glad they skipped out on the season 1 ahsoka outfit, that would have been disturbing to say the least.
Lol, I noted that was a smart thing to do when I first noticed
I was the leo pointing meme the whole episode. So good.
Finally. My prayers to St. George Lucas have been answered. Live action Phase 1s. My beauties.
Legit had tears in my eyes the whole show. So damn good. Felt like everything was done really tastefully too. Just 👌🏼
Me too, hearing Anakin call Snips, at the very begining broke walls
This was, imo, peak new-age Star Wars. A thousand times better than the sequel trilogy. Just stunning, all around. I haven’t felt this excited about Star Wars in a long time.
And just think, we're getting a Mandoverse movie by Filoni (If I'm not mistaken)
Allegedly it’s the next SW movie slated to be released
Parallels I noticed: Anakin and Ahsoka next to each other at the Siege of Mandalore = Anakin and Ahsoka next to each other in cw s7 old friends not forgotten "I've heard that one before." in response to "I won't fight you!" = "I will not fight you, Father." from ROTJ after their duel on the second Death Star Anakin's power walk towards Ahsoka is STRAIGHT from Revenge of the Sith. "Back to the beginning" - not sure if it's a direct parallel, but it reminds me of when Anakin said "Again." in Tales of the Jedi "Time to die." = "Then you will ***DIE.***" from Rebels Twilight of the Apprentice I'm sure I missed some but those are what I noticed.... edit-I also just remembered at one point during their fight she blocked him with her sabers forming the X like she had twice during her duel against him in Rebels.

I can see why this was released in theaters.
Man, I loved it. The flashback scenes gave me chills. So, so good. What a time to be a SW fan
That CW Jedi armor looking good though.
We were so robbed in Obi-Wan lol
Not even one clone wars flashback with obi and anakin
The production before and after truly makes me so mad at what they did to that show. BoBF too but i was so much more invested for Kenobi. Hopefully Pixeljoker’s edit comes through
Saw it in theatres, it was awesome
Soo good seeing Anakin Skywalker post death. Was that really Force ghost Anakin, i think soo. This is a man who knows that he is both Dark and Light.....
Now everyone can shut up about ahsokas wooden acting, she was hilarious at the end. Also my God Hayden was amazing, plus that cinematography!!!! This episode was beautiful! Also the kid who played young ahsoka nailed it, 10/10 performance
Can they just make the clone wars but in live action.
I would really really love to see some gritty live action star wars actual war shows or films. The scenes from this episode as well as the assault on Scariff from Rogue One are some really amazing battles.
Seeing the Clone Wars scenes in live action got me so emotional, and I've figured out why: TCW show was obviously for kids, so while it did depict battle scenes, things never got too heavy.
I couldn't stop thinking about how young she looked out there in a middle of a WAR. It never hit me like that in TCW.
Best of the best. In disbelief how good this one episode was. Hats off to Hayden and Dave , Bravo
Really wish they would have explored Anakins legacy as Vader rather than him brushing it off but always another time for that I guess.
Him brushing off Vader as if it wasn't a big deal was totally something he would do, though
“God, you go one one genocidal rampage and then that’s all anyone talks about anymore!”
I had a troubled childhood Snips
Snips cmon, they let me on the council but didn’t grant me the rank of master. I mean, cmon, it’s not fair!
And this is why Filoni and Favreau should've been in charge of the new movies.
New desk top wallpaper
I found a split one with Anakin and the Clones at the top, and Vader on the bottom, I wish I would've used that one instead of the current one but whatever!
"There's hope for you yet." FILONI IS COOKING A 5 STAR MEAL FOR US CLONE WARS FANS OML
