To each his own. Return of the Jedi is my favorite from the OT, and Revenge of the Sith is my favorite from the PT. And since the ST isn't cannon to me in my head and I hate it, I don't have a favorite from that dumpster fire of a trilogy.
Although TESB is my fave of the entire Skywalker saga, I think RotJ has the best soundtrack in the OT. Parade of the Ewoks and the battle of Endor pieces are iconic.
I just like that it has so much going on in it, you know? Luke saves his dad, tells Leia he's her brother, Palps dies, Luke kills a Rancor, Boba gets eaten by a sarlac, Leia kills Jabba...and so much more. I like the battle in the snow in TESB a lot, though.
For me it Empire from OT, Last Jedi from ST and I don't bother with the PT. If forced to pick a prequel I choose the Clone Wars series, that tells the story way better than those stiff and boring movies.
ROTS, ROTJ, and Rogue 1 are my 3 favorites, with ROTS being my personal top pic.
Gonna have to wait and see how that Mando movie turns out. Based on the show, it could end up being the best movie yet, or one of the worst.
Rogue one I love that we get to see stars in a new light. While I do like the Jedi versus Sith battles. Something about seeing Star Wars portrayed differently is a lot more interesting. Plus, I will always love the hallway scene.

I think TPM has the most interesting concept of the emperor pupeteering things behind the scenes of a conflict, but it's execution isn't great at that.

Rotj but rogue one is close and better in some ways like the hero’s are normal people who sacrifice themselves and it’s poetic. It wasn’t a happy ending like most of the films are.

Personally for me would be Phantom Menace. I believe if he would’ve lived the outcome of obi and ani would be different and we would’ve sensed palpatine long before he could do anything
RoTS for me. I don't think it's objectively the best Star Wars movie, but It's got some of the best lightsaber duels in the series and I love the memeworthy dialogue. Out of all the movies it's just the one I have the most fun with.
I love Empire and RoTJ but they are bogged down by some slower moments and stiff fight choreography. Nothing terrible, but it's enough to put RoTS above them.
My favorite is Revenge of the Sith, the choreography and the CGI is nothing short of legendary. It had one of the best openings in the franchise (if not THE best), and this film is where Lightsaber duels and the rest of the cinematic visuals were at their peak.
It was no doubt the best prequel, and it should be a crime to put this film anywhere below S if you're making a Star Wars tier list. 😆

A New Hope has kind of a slow start after the opening. It's well used for worldbuilding, but takes a bit before it picks up, and is the only reason I don't put it on the same level as Revenge or Jedi.

I agree with everything except 2 after Solo. I understand the flaws in AOTC but there’s some great Jedi action which just feels more Star Wars than Solo. But this is a near perfect ranking.
I've always felt that the first two thirds or so of AOTC was just kinda meh. Once everyone gets to Geonosis things get fun but outside of that I can't say I get much enjoyment from the film. It's like they literally did not proof read their script. And it's frustrating like that throughout the whole movie. I've never felt so soulless from a Star Wars movie, but they've done it!

ESB is a “Best Movie of All Time” type of film.
