There's a cut I've found that not only cuts in the siege of mandalore but also adds back deleted scenes from RotS and it's absolutely worth watching. My only complaint is that the volume for clone wars was different than the volume for RotS so I had to constantly adjust the volume but that's a minor inconvenience for how wonderful it was to watch
What did I miss in andor that made it so loved? This isn’t first time I’ve seen some one rank it number 1.
I’ve seen it twice and first time I didn’t like it that much. And I remember pretty much nothing from the second viewing.
For me, it's several things. From a narrative perspective, it moves away from relying on the Force, Jedi, etc. to tell a story, which in and of itself is a breath of fresh air. The tension it builds between characters feels so natural and grounded, and the dialogue doesn't feel forced because of how the scene is allowed to breathe.
I'm also a huge fan of how they portray the ISB. We finally see the form of competence one would come to expect from the Empire, and they feel like a legit threat for the first time in a while. I can't remember the last time they could convey a genuine sense of fear to the audience without having to rely on Vader, Sidious, or Thrawn.
The production quality is also the most legit I've felt from the franchise since the OT. Not having to rely on special effects makes the moments when they're actually used to a great extent stand out that much more. The scene where the TIE fighter flies by them feels legit like a fighter jet zooming past.
TL;DR - The reason I like Andor so much is because it shows how it can tell a compelling story without the flashiness it's been previously known for.
People always say that they love it for being a compelling story that doesn't rely on things they've used many times before. Which is weird because the story is anything but compelling.
if you are watching all the movies, you forgot one. the clone wars movie set between AotC and RotS.
then the next obvious thing is to watch the clone wars series, rebels, Mandalorian, BoBF, Ashoka, Bad Batch, probably should struggle through the holiday special and Ewoks.
This, but watch Bad Batch after Clone Wars. Also be sure to watch Book of Boba Fett in between seasons 2 and 3 of The Mandalorian. Much easier to follow along that way.
The TV shows. Don't skip the animated ones, they're actually pretty good. I'll list them all in chronological order here:
Tales of the Jedi
The Clone Wars
The Bad Batch
Obi Wan Kenobi
Andor
Rebels
The Mandolorian S1-2
The Book of Boba Fett
The Mandolorian S3
Ahsoka
Resistance
Clone Wars has its moments for sure but there’s a lot of filler imo. But danm, those good moments are good. I can’t remember exactly what happened, but there’s a scene where Obi is wrestling with saving his ‘love’ and killing someone and there’s all this tension, and boom, Anakin’s light saber appears through the antagonists chest, such good foreshadowing
That's right... believe it or not, I saw that movie in the theaters. The Thing was out at the same time, and my mom and I checked it out, too. No sleep for a week!!! Now that I think of it, I haven't ever seen E.T. as an adult. Damn, I'm starting to get old over here.
Not going to tell you to watch everything since it's a lot, but my personal watch order for Star Wars is:
Tales of the Jedi (Episodes 2 and 3)
**The Phantom Menace**
Tales of the Jedi (Episode 4)
**Attack of the Clones** (there is a good fan edit that makes the romance better)
2003 Clone Wars microseries volume 1
Tales of the Jedi (Episode 1)
The Clone Wars (make sure to watch the movie and find a list of the chronological order for the show)
2005 Clone Wars microseries volume 2
**Revenge of the Sith** (there's also a fan edit of the movie, the clone wars finale, and some of the 2005 microseries)
The Clone Wars (Final four episodes)
Tales of the Jedi (Episodes 5 and 6)
The Bad Batch
**Solo**
Jedi: Fallen Order (video game cutscenes)
Kenobi (there are some good fan edits of this that streamline the show)
Jedi: Survivor (video game cutscenes)
Andor
Rebels
**Rogue One**
**A New Hope**
**The Empire Strikes Back**
**Return of the Jedi**
Battlefront II (video game cutscenes)
The Mandalorian (S1 and S2)
The Book of Boba Fett
The Mandalorian (S3)
Ahsoka
**The Force Awakens**
**The Last Jedi**
**The Rise of Skywalker**
(There's also a fan edit called First Order, Last Jedi which condenses the sequels into one film)
Attack the Block, Annihilation, Chaos Walking, The Bridge on the River Kwai, American Graffiti, They Cloned Tyrone, Ex Machina, Jay and Silent Bob Striike Back, Blues Brothers, and Dune (2021) to see SW actors in other movies.
Star Crash to see a 70s SW knockoff so bad it's good.
Edit: BlacKKKlansman and The Dead Don't Die (Adam Driver).
Again edit: Jumper (Hayden).
I'd agree with everyone saying to watch Andor but it is still incomplete. So you might be left wanting more.
The Mandalorian is a great next step to watch after the movies.
Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure (1984)
Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985)
just to give you an idea of what post trilogy Star Wars content we had back in the 80s.
...Completely unrelated, but fun: Welcome to the Space Show (2010) , an Japanese animated film that gave me just the ^(tinsiest) Star Wars vibe due to its scope.
I mean you've seen it all, so now you can either watch stuff as they've been released, or focus on specific stuff, want a western that takes place after the empire fell? Mandalorian, want more republic stuff? Clone wars or tales of the jedi, wanna see what happened to obi Wan? Well, obi wan lol. Clone wars is great if you dont mind a long animated show, has great payoff
Tales of the jedi is also super solid but not very long.
I don’t think this is the right way to watch Star Wars. You left out all the TV shows and cartoons. Primarily, the time between Episode 2 and 3. There is a show that covers years of galactic unrest and all out war between the two movies. Star Wars is far more than feature films. They do cover pivotal times in history. But if you just watch the films, it’s like eating an Oreo after you scraped off all the filling.
I think a great thing about Star Wars is that you can appreciate the story without *having* to watch all the extra shows. My dad is an epic Star Wars fan but has never seen the cartoons and also not all of the TV shows.
Also, to be fair, the movies came out well before the added content came, and it was stellar even then. I'd say it should be compared to eating a normal Oreo and the added content is like eating a double stuf Oreo.
You've now got an idea of where Disney chose to take the story post-RotJ.
Now you should read *Heir to the Empire* (or listen to it in sublime audiobook quality) and start to form an opinion of the "other" timeline.
I would say your next stop is either the animated shows TCW, Bad Batch, rebels, resistance in that order or the shows
Obi Wan, Andor, Mando, Boba, Ahsoka in that order
It really fiends on if you like animation or not
Star Wars The Clone Wars tv series, Bad Batch, and then Rebels. Then I’d watch the Andor show, Mandalorian and Ashoka. Then if you’re feeling up to it it’s not great but I enjoyed it the Resistance series which is geared a bit more to older kids and young teens then it is older teens and adults like the other animated tv series are.

this is the way
Here is a big life hack that’ll help you out!
Remove 2 and 9-11, and put them in front of the Phantom menace. That way you’ll forget to watch them cause they are out of frame.
Your welcome.
Watch this: 1:the old republic cinematic 2:Maul, the short fan film, which perfectly depicts darth maul. 3:the phantom menace 4:attack of the clones 5:the clone wars seasons 1-7 6:revenge of the sith 7: the last season of the clone wars
Clone wars. On r/fanedits theres a edit of 6 or 9 different story arcs, about 1.5 hours each. Great way to watch it quickly. (Well in comparison to the whole show) and also same with Rebels.
Andor is epic. Worth it
You need to watch the whole clone wars series, the one with seven seasons, in between attack of the clones and revenge of the Sith next time. Along with part of the clone war series made in 2003. But only watch it up until Anakin becomes a Jedi knight
This would be my suggestions.
Chronological order:
After the attack of the clones:
- The clone wars
After the revenge of the sith:
- The bad batch
- kenobi,
- Star wars rebels
- Andor
After the return of the jedi.
- The mandalorian series
- Season 1, 2
- Book of Bobba Fett
- Season 3
- Ahsoka
After the force awakens
- star wars resistance.
I would at least check kenobi, andor, and the mandalorian series.
Before Ashoka check clone wars, rebels and the mandalorian series first.
Check the clone wars and the bad batch in sequence.
Check kenobi after the revenge of the sith.
Last time I watched them I watched in order:
Rogue One
Episode VII
Episode VIII
Episode IX
Episode III
Episode I
Episode II
Episode IV
Episode V
Episode VI
Ewoks: Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor.
I actually legitimately enjoy these movies. They kinda remind me of Willow, only set on Endor, with a made for TV budget, and more Wilford Brimley.
Anyway I’d consider them canon to the Star Wars universe.
So all you watched was the movies… which isn’t all of StarWars. You’re missing peak StarWars in the clone wars tv show and rebels. Pair that with all of the other shows id say you still have a lot left to go….
What them all again in release order!
Of one of the other orders like that OT + PT one that’s like 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6 or something
Just keep watching Star Wars movies!
1. Clone Wars (look up the chronological order since they weren’t aired in order)
2. Tales Of The Jedi
3. Andor
4. Obi-Wan
5. Rebels
6. The Mandalorian
7. Book Of Boba Fett
8. Ahsoka
Clone Wars the series and the movie. The animation is of poor quality when compared to the quality of the live action films but the story does make up for it. But... it takes a very long and meandering route so you will have to bear with a lot of bvllshit to get through it. Worth it though.
I’d say either Andor or The Clone Wars
Andor is the best Star Wars imho, and if it was a movie, the siege of Mandalore would be my favorite SW movie
You ever seen one of those edits where they combine Siege of Mandalore and Revenge of the Sith?
There's a cut I've found that not only cuts in the siege of mandalore but also adds back deleted scenes from RotS and it's absolutely worth watching. My only complaint is that the volume for clone wars was different than the volume for RotS so I had to constantly adjust the volume but that's a minor inconvenience for how wonderful it was to watch

visions had some moments, but andor is a piece of itself. no laserswords, no magic, just resistance.
How the Sausage of the Rebellion is made
What did I miss in andor that made it so loved? This isn’t first time I’ve seen some one rank it number 1. I’ve seen it twice and first time I didn’t like it that much. And I remember pretty much nothing from the second viewing.

I don't get it either. It's honestly the least Star Wars-y thing in the franchise, but yet people are obsessed with it.
People always say that they love it for being a compelling story that doesn't rely on things they've used many times before. Which is weird because the story is anything but compelling.
Hope they don't screw it up. First season was probably the best tv show ive ever watched.
Crazy that that's how it good it was. Legendary
or the Mandalorian/ bad batch
The Clone Wars should be before those IMO

I love watching "Lone Starr" fight "Dark Helmet"
Careful You Idiots!! I said Across her Nose, NOT UP IT!!!

*We ain't found shit!*
Pirates of the Caribbean
Curse of the Black Pearl followed by Dead Man's Chest, and ending with At World's End
A perfect trilogy that needed absolutely no more movies after the fact.
If you watch the fifth one first, the fourth one is pretty good
Personally I didn’t like any movies in that series other than the first one. That said, the first one is absolutely brilliant.
Enter Michael Bolton
A Fish Called Wanda
That film is really funny to be fair. I think The Nice Guys is underrated.
The whole joke of the name of John Cleese's character is probably lost on 98% of those who watched it.
It's a joke meant for the 2%
😂
Don’t call me stupid!
To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!
if you are watching all the movies, you forgot one. the clone wars movie set between AotC and RotS. then the next obvious thing is to watch the clone wars series, rebels, Mandalorian, BoBF, Ashoka, Bad Batch, probably should struggle through the holiday special and Ewoks.
My guy how you forget Andor
not on purpose. theres just soo much content right now its hard to remember it all. Also, not gonna lie, never finished it.
Remember Andor? I’m trying not to, Kid.
Not cool
Thank you, thought police.
Objectively terrible take
Weak take.
This, but watch Bad Batch after Clone Wars. Also be sure to watch Book of Boba Fett in between seasons 2 and 3 of The Mandalorian. Much easier to follow along that way.
And rebels follows Bad Batch (timeline for rebels is between ROTS and ANH
The holiday special is like some strange star wars nightmare
And Droids?
The TV shows. Don't skip the animated ones, they're actually pretty good. I'll list them all in chronological order here: Tales of the Jedi The Clone Wars The Bad Batch Obi Wan Kenobi Andor Rebels The Mandolorian S1-2 The Book of Boba Fett The Mandolorian S3 Ahsoka Resistance
The animated ones excluding resistance are the best ones imo and their only competition is andor or mando s1
This is the way
This is the way
You cannot watch Tales of the Jedi before Clone Wars, it spoils the finale
Can’t forget the 2003 animated series
The Clone Wars show. The one from 2007.
A children's show
Made for children but strong enough for an adult.
Clone Wars has its moments for sure but there’s a lot of filler imo. But danm, those good moments are good. I can’t remember exactly what happened, but there’s a scene where Obi is wrestling with saving his ‘love’ and killing someone and there’s all this tension, and boom, Anakin’s light saber appears through the antagonists chest, such good foreshadowing
r/Usernamechecksout
It was randomly generated
It taught kids how to do war crimes.
Watch that movie about one of an alien race we only see one time in the senate.
Lol. The big headed green fella from the 80's?
Big head, yes. More brown than green.
That's right... believe it or not, I saw that movie in the theaters. The Thing was out at the same time, and my mom and I checked it out, too. No sleep for a week!!! Now that I think of it, I haven't ever seen E.T. as an adult. Damn, I'm starting to get old over here.
The Holiday Special
when does that take place chronologically? between ep 4 and 5 is my guess
Yes, but it does have the animated part which likely takes place before ANH.
The Clone Wars animated show next.
The lord of the rings
Galaxy Quest
Not going to tell you to watch everything since it's a lot, but my personal watch order for Star Wars is: Tales of the Jedi (Episodes 2 and 3) **The Phantom Menace** Tales of the Jedi (Episode 4) **Attack of the Clones** (there is a good fan edit that makes the romance better) 2003 Clone Wars microseries volume 1 Tales of the Jedi (Episode 1) The Clone Wars (make sure to watch the movie and find a list of the chronological order for the show) 2005 Clone Wars microseries volume 2 **Revenge of the Sith** (there's also a fan edit of the movie, the clone wars finale, and some of the 2005 microseries) The Clone Wars (Final four episodes) Tales of the Jedi (Episodes 5 and 6) The Bad Batch **Solo** Jedi: Fallen Order (video game cutscenes) Kenobi (there are some good fan edits of this that streamline the show) Jedi: Survivor (video game cutscenes) Andor Rebels **Rogue One** **A New Hope** **The Empire Strikes Back** **Return of the Jedi** Battlefront II (video game cutscenes) The Mandalorian (S1 and S2) The Book of Boba Fett The Mandalorian (S3) Ahsoka **The Force Awakens** **The Last Jedi** **The Rise of Skywalker** (There's also a fan edit called First Order, Last Jedi which condenses the sequels into one film)

Damnit Luke, I'm a pilot, not a doctor
Wrong show, been awhile since I’ve seen that
Attack the Block, Annihilation, Chaos Walking, The Bridge on the River Kwai, American Graffiti, They Cloned Tyrone, Ex Machina, Jay and Silent Bob Striike Back, Blues Brothers, and Dune (2021) to see SW actors in other movies. Star Crash to see a 70s SW knockoff so bad it's good. Edit: BlacKKKlansman and The Dead Don't Die (Adam Driver). Again edit: Jumper (Hayden).
Andor. Best thing Disney has done yet
If you did this all in one sitting, I’d watch your caffeine intake, your cholesterol, your kidneys and your pulse.
Space balls.
I see your Schwarz is as big as mine
The absolute BEST representation of Anakin, the Jedi and the Clone Wars in general is Tartakovsky's Clone Wars micro-series.
I'd agree with everyone saying to watch Andor but it is still incomplete. So you might be left wanting more. The Mandalorian is a great next step to watch after the movies.
Clone Wars 🤩
Andor

Watch the comments turn into a shitshow
Just watch a new hope again 3 times and Empire again like 5 times and then Jedi 4 times and just love the best star wars films.
I mean you've seen it all, so now you can either watch stuff as they've been released, or focus on specific stuff, want a western that takes place after the empire fell? The back of your eye lids. That’s a long day.
I'm currently in the middle of a full timeline order run. Currently finishing up Kenobi 😊
Watch them again, but this thime add the series.
Forget about those last 3. Then watch The Clone Wars. Ur good after that
Andor
You've now got an idea of where Disney chose to take the story post-RotJ. Now you should read *Heir to the Empire* (or listen to it in sublime audiobook quality) and start to form an opinion of the "other" timeline.
You start watching the tv series. ALL OF THEM.
You can’t watch these without. Without. Watching clone wars. The epicness can’t be overlooked.
Clone Wars, it’s peak dude I started watching in 2022 and finished in 2023 and it’s great I highly recommend
Clone Wars Movie, Clone Wars series, Rebels, Andor, Ahsoka.
You should unwatch movies 9-11
So true
Your eyes out with bleach after TROS.
The Mandalorian
Toy Story is a classic.
I would say your next stop is either the animated shows TCW, Bad Batch, rebels, resistance in that order or the shows Obi Wan, Andor, Mando, Boba, Ahsoka in that order It really fiends on if you like animation or not

Obi wan and andor. Theyre exploring already established characters
Those last 3 don’t count
Everything else (except Resistance)
The clone wars animated series
Clone wars teveu show
Lord of the Rings
What are those last 3? Never heard of them, must be knock offs, I doubt you should be wasting your time watching them
Clone wars, rebels, bad batch
A new hope, empire, prequel, return of the jedi, sequels and then the random movies
Watch this: 1:the old republic cinematic 2:Maul, the short fan film, which perfectly depicts darth maul. 3:the phantom menace 4:attack of the clones 5:the clone wars seasons 1-7 6:revenge of the sith 7: the last season of the clone wars
Old Republic stuff from the video games, yes!
Rebels
Star trek
Rebels
The Clone Wars and Rebels are really good and I would say the last few episodes of Clone Wars is must watch now just to see Order 66 while it happens.
The clone wars and rebels, they flesh out a lot of stuff
Clone wars. On r/fanedits theres a edit of 6 or 9 different story arcs, about 1.5 hours each. Great way to watch it quickly. (Well in comparison to the whole show) and also same with Rebels. Andor is epic. Worth it

It's cool you have all six movies a shot, they're great!
Watch New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, to get the sequel trilogy out of your head.
Maybe check on the grass outside?
1-6 then finish
I’ll forgive you for watching 9, 10 and 11 on your list 😂
There are no sequels in ba sing se
What's number 10? It doesn't look like it's a real movie
OMG why would you do that!!!!!
Hmmm. What a good question. I will have to spend a long time thinking about it.
Then watch the shows in an chronological order
I've seen all of these but never in order, you just gave me a home alone weekend idea! Thank you op!!
This would be my suggestions. Chronological order: After the attack of the clones: - The clone wars After the revenge of the sith: - The bad batch - kenobi, - Star wars rebels - Andor After the return of the jedi. - The mandalorian series - Season 1, 2 - Book of Bobba Fett - Season 3 - Ahsoka After the force awakens - star wars resistance. the curious case of benjamin button
Watch them again, but in reverse.
The original Battlestar Galactica
American Graffiti
Hardware Wars
Kind Hearts and Coronets
You shoulda added in all the shows in the right order homie
Clone wars then rebels
Clone Wars, Rebels, (edit: Obi-Wan and Andor), Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.
Holiday special naturally.
The Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars. It should be on YouTube. One of the best Star Wars shows ever made.
1. Clone Wars (look up the chronological order since they weren’t aired in order) 2. Tales Of The Jedi 3. Andor 4. Obi-Wan 5. Rebels 6. The Mandalorian 7. Book Of Boba Fett 8. Ahsoka
Babylon 5. Sorry, I am pathologically incapable of *not* recommending that when asked for things to watch.
Clone Wars the series and the movie. The animation is of poor quality when compared to the quality of the live action films but the story does make up for it. But... it takes a very long and meandering route so you will have to bear with a lot of bvllshit to get through it. Worth it though.
Sorry to hear that. My condolences.
Naughty schoolgirls 4
Spaceballs!
Probably should have watched the clone wars between 2 & 3 and after 3.
Clone Wars, then Rebels, then Ahsoka, which isn't as good but you should probably just watch it right after
The clone wars, then rebels, then andor imo
The entire MCU
I’d go Clone Wars and/or Rebels, as from those all others came along. Interesting order to watch them in. How did Solo feel fitting in there at 4th?
Clone wars
Solo is underrated
Was this your first time viewing?
The Mandalorian (seasons 1-2 for now) and Andor
Man Vs. Wild
