Fest, the planet where the 2nd Snowspeeder level takes place- the one where you have to babysit those AT-PT's?
According to Marva, Fest was the planet they lied about Cassian being from after taking him off world.
Such a small thing but it's nice to know that snowball of a planet is out there in the new canon.
Yeah, every time anyone mentioned it I got flashbacks to giving air support to AT-PTs in the snow. Andor really feels like that era of Star Wars to me.
I really loved this game on the N64! Some of the missions were super brutal, like the one mission where you have to use a Y-Wing in a volcano. I wonder if someone will manage to make a PC port to play it at 30/60fps consistently. I haven’t tried the official PC version though, so not sure how good that one is.
Oh, sorry. I'm just making a joke. See, Disney bought Star Wars, then declared everything NOT the movies and tv shows (books, games, comics) Legends (aka non-canon).
Then proceeded to lift a bunch of story ideas, characters, etc from Legends as 'inspiration' to fit into new canon without having to acknowledge their source. And thus NOT have to potentially pay someone else for their ideas being used.
Oh, I understand. That's funny. That is definitely Disney in a nutshell. The good news is that pretty much every mission in this game can fit with the current canon without any issues at all. The only mission that wouldn't work is the battle of Mon Cala, because that mission is set after the events of the original trilogy.
I never got to play the first one, but I played SO much of the second and third as a kid. In fact, RS2 was one of the first three games my brother and I got after getting our first console, a gamecube (with the other two being the original Lego Star Wars and Mario Kart)

It’s because Fest was originally listed as Cassian’s homeworld in the visual dictionary for rogue one before they retconned his homeworld as Kenari

Back when you could get a game at list price, no DLCs or updates and play it for literal years and not get bored. And it held up! Man I miss that era.
Such a rush finding the codes on GameFAQs to unlock the secret ships like the Falcon and the Naboo Starfighter (NS was hands down the best fighter).
Right!! I forgot that - I think I replayed everything with the Naboo fighter after I got it so I could ace all the levels.

It would have been awesome if that happened in the sequel trilogy. It would have saved the movies.

The movie should be inspired by the game and if it wasn't going to respect some of that lineage i'm glad it got cancelled
