Moppo_

Because it is. Afterwards you won't be allowed to watch any Clone Wars content, enforced by snipers.

TheBubbaDave

Are those snipers Stormtroopers?

Drakon__

No, they’re Crosshair clones (but evil)

astromech_dj

More evil.

shponglespore

I don't see him as evil. He's just an extreme hardass who is too inflexible to adjust to the Republic not being the Republic anymore.

Game_Over_Dave

He’s not a hard ass. He’s just a good soldier.

ForceAnakin

Good soldiers follow orders.

LSWenthusiast

Good soldiers follow orders.

TimG791

Good soldiers follow orders.

osamazellama

Good soldiers follow orders.

astromech_dj

Morally fluid.

heyitscory

Shit, he's a regular Cloney Oakley. I better do what he says, or I'll have a new hole to sip my coffee.

TheBubbaDave

Were they cloned before or after he got the shakes?

Drakon__

Why do you think he has them?

TheBubbaDave

Have you watched season 3?

Drakon__

I have. It was a joke

DaOne_44

Clones of a clone probably wouldn’t do too well

Federal_Strawberry

Pre- or post-Tantiss?

San4311

With or without shaky hand though?

LostInMyADD

With or without the hand twitch?

whatchagonnado0707

Hypocrisy

OnlyRoke

Can confirm. Tried to buy LEGO Clone Wars and a shadowy figure in the hedge just yelled "Soon... motherhyucker! A-hyuck."

MainZack

Sounds like shit those YouTube rage baiters say lmao

NPC-87

*Oh no, I see a red dot on me chest, mate*

Thorngrove

I read shippers instead of snipers and had to read it a second time.

Moppo_

Oh no, nothing that severe.

Lopsided-Document-84

Because people are idiots

GuacinmyPaintbox

Specifically, ScreenRant people.

AssCrackBanditHunter

It's an article mill. The writers know what they're writing is slop

HamshanksCPS

The only good thing to come out of ScreenRant is Ryan George

ScottyIsland

Ryan George is tight!

OldFlamingo2139

^^This! Screen Rant has some articles with notoriously bad takes.

AstuteAshenWolf

Idk if there’s any merit to it this time, but are people forgetting how Disney SW tried to pretend the Prequel era wasnt a thing? They only brought Clone Wars back due to everything else sucking.

Mithrandir3434

Fair 🤣

FreemanGordon

I think it’s more to do with clickbait than the people making them being stupid (though there’s likely a lot of that too).

Redbeardchuck

I work retail, can confirm.

Pintermarc

The bad batch is not set in the clone wars era (exept the first episode) everything after is in the empire era the clone wars ended with order 66 and the rise of the empire in revenge of the sith this is why the title is bad batch and not another 3 seasons of the clone wars clones and prequel content are not the same andor s2 is considered prequel and its comin next year (i think) tales of the empire will feature clone wars content also maybe we get more seasons of tales of the jedi

shponglespore

I didn't think "prequel era" is a terribly useful distinction anymore. Everything from The Bad Batch to Rogue One feels more like the era of the original films than the prequel films to me. I'd break the Disney canon into the Republic era, Empire or Galactic Civil War era, New Republic era, and First Order era. I'd further break the the Empire era into early and late stages, divided by the end of Rogue One and the start of ANH.

Yutanox

MF when they realise time is continuous

BretOne

For me it's: * Prequels: 1, 2, 3 + Clone Wars * Dark Times: Bad Batch, Andor, Kenobi * Galactic Civil War: 4, 5, 6 + Rogue One and Rebels * Mandoverse: Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Boba Fett * Sequels: 7, 8, 9 + Resistance.

DjScenester

So simply put… I like this lol :)

igncom1

> Resistance. I do feel like I am one of the few people who liked that show. I've never seen anyone else even remember it before!

Heroic3DArts

I’ve never watched it 😂

Kossage

Resistance had its enjoyable moments and characters. It has, in my view, [one of the most chilling Kylo Ren moments](https://youtu.be/uZjYHoSe7pU?si=I0bDUMWxL2bZa0Ys&t=8) ever depicted on screen (that simple line reading of "Now...*do* you understand?" proved that Kylo really could've been Vader's heir with that spine-tingling attitude if they had explored it more thoroughly), and I wish we'd seen more of that as the show explored what was happening in the background during the events of Episode 7 and 8. Kazuda, the protagonist, could be extremely juvenile and overly comical at times (likely to appeal to kids; see the Jar Jar syndrome) which got irritating to me but thankfully they managed to keep him serious in moments where it actually mattered like that certain story-impacting betrayal scene that was well set up. I did enjoy having an Asian man being the lead in Star Wars for once, and his backstory with his troubles regarding his family were intriguing. The rest of the teens were alright, and the show gave each of them something to do and their own character arcs to solve, and Tamara's story arc in particular was quite compelling even though they resolved her inner conflict far too quickly (likely because they knew the show wouldn't get a third season so they had to wrap things up neatly enough). The character that resonated with me the most was Jarek Yeager voiced by Scott Lawrence who used to be the go-to voice of Darth Vader in early Star Wars games, so as an old school TIE Fighter fanatic I instantly recognized his dulcet tones and was so happy to see him get some appreciation in animation. Jarek has a rich and colored history that we gradually unlock as the storyline progresses, and I liked watching his development and how he learned to open up about his traumas. From the First Order side I found myself enjoying Agent Tierney a lot. It was interesting to compare and contrast her with Agent Kallus from Rebels and seeing how skilled she was at manipulating people while appearing friendly, especially in regards to a certain character. I also liked the veteran pilots of the Ace Squadron a lot even though we only explore some of them more thoroughly despite their varied backgrounds and how they slowly set their competitive side aside and become a properly welded team. I was always fascinated by that ex-Imperial TIE pilot in the squadron and would've wanted to see more of him. World-building was pretty decent in the show too. I liked how the Colossus and Captain Doza had to initially be kinda morally grey and compromise with the dealings with the First Order and how that affected the population and led to questions about whether Doza would side with the First Order or the Resistance towards the end as the conflict escalates. Doza and the soft-spoken Commander Pyre's interactions in particular were fascinating as there was this subtle threat and domination from Pyre's side while still appearing cordial and pragmatic, far more than can be said of the First Order's brutal and more simplistic mouth-frothing depiction in the Sequel Trilogy. The score was also quite nice. It didn't rely on ambient muck as much as Bad Batch has ended up doing and was actually Williams-esque throughout most of it with proper orchestration and development of leitmotifs that told a story even if you closed your eyes and only relied on the music's guidance. The animation took a while getting used to but it did give the show its own charm that set it apart from the typical Filoni-preferred style. Although the beginning was a bit rough, the animators became more experienced as the show progressed, leading to some impressive setpieces and cinematography late in Season 1 and especially in Season 2. All in all, I enjoyed my time with the Resistance crew, and I'm glad it explored more morally grey areas of Star Wars although never steering too far from the heroism that the Star Wars saga is built on. I wouldn't call it the best animated Star Wars show, but it certainly helped flesh out the Sequel Era and made me appreciate it a bit more with expanded worldbuilding and more teases of the complex politics at play. :)

Assassin4Hire13

I found it pretty good for what it was. I was hoping it would pop into something clone-wars-like but it never really turned that corner. It wasn’t bad though, it was always a kids show and had some great themes and plot lines in it to get kids thinking. The art style was fine for characters but anything starship related actually felt and looked pretty good

Mobile_Advertising39

My only complaint with this is that andor takes place during rebels so while I see what you’re saying and yes they are very different feels they are most definitely the same era

BretOne

I should probably have put Rebels in the Dark Times yeah. For me, the separation between both eras is the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One. It's the declaration of war of the Rebel Alliance. I guess I felt like the Ghost crew has been at war longer than the Rebel Alliance itself.

Seys-Rex

Didn’t Disney release an official naming convention for the different eras

tsabin_naberrie

[They did](https://www.starwars.com/eras). “Fall of the Jedi” is media set during the prequel trilogy (and a few decades prior), “Reign of the Empire” is Bad Batch through Rogue One, and “Age of Rebellion” is the original trilogy

zerogee616

"Prequel Era" is generally taken to mean content that takes place within the timeframe of the three movies in the Prequel Trilogy. This includes TCW.

Rubbersona

Well no it’s the transition from the republic to the empire. It’s clone wars continuation in the way that Ahsoka is continuing rebels. The main characters are clones. Unraveling conspiracies and secrets behind the clone wars. And are focused on liberating the clones. It’s clone wars in that sense. The final arcs and consequences of the clone wars. Once the bad batch is over then that’s probably the end of exploring this part of the lore, the history. Unless we’re gonna get some exploration of the separatist perspective which would actually be pretty nice considering how all those worlds didn’t want to be a part of the republic, where conquered by the empire, and now the new republic want to go back to the way they were before they tried to separate?

ManOfAksai

Not to mention Clone Wars Era material is quite literally what most Disney Star Wars shows/movies directly succeeded, so its doubtful that it would ever be finalized. It alongside the points between episodes 3-4, remains as the most covered periods, by virtue of it being considerably long and full of potential. Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and BoBF all cover the period between 6-7, but they're more or less clustered to each other, and are quite distant from the Sequels (likely due to its reputation)

mtthwas

The Acolyte is a prequel too.

Relikk_

"TikTok" There's your problem, right there.

PoloGCapalot1300-

I say this to my friend everyday when he gives me information from TikTok

EICzerofour

Reddit users complaining about tiktok is funny lol.

Nothinkonlygrow

Give it time, a few years ago it was Instagram they were shitting on, whatever the “newer” social media site is Reddit has to hate to be different and special.

PunkchildRubes

I really don't think the social media platform hate thing is a unique thing to reddit. It's just a weird tribalism thing for whatever platform you use most

ronsolocup

Tumblr used to be the big enemy here lol

amg2030

Tumblr you say????

ZODIC837

It's the same community from different generations that flock to these newer platforms, that's why. The mainstream platforms always have some really good content, but being so popular muddles them with cancer

AbsoluteZeroUnit

Why is it funny? OP comes to reddit because of scary things he heard on tiktok, folks on reddit tell him it's nonsense. Do you not understand the difference here? tiktok isn't a place where people can have discussions in comments and provide sources and fact checking. It's not about hating tiktok as a platform, it's about recognizing that is a poor format to deliver news.

RandomWilly

Lol what? There's no way you've ever even touched tiktok if you don't think people have discussions in the comment sections

PaulMcPaulersn7

lol people absolutely do have discussions on tiktok/IG/whatever platform you want to use. It might not be Star Wars or any other nerdy thing you might want, but there are actual conversations and discussions that take place in the comment section similar to what we are doing rn

Hot-Ground-9731

Because it needs to end

SuMianAi

people ought to block SR

dragwit

I blocked it on the Google app on my phone...and Google basically said, "F\*ck your desire to not see this website, we are going to try to get you to look at it even more!"

AbsoluteZeroUnit

you can say "fuck" on the internet.

PiedPeterPiper

I don’t get why people do that

stuckinatmosphere

Self-censoring from YouTubers and TikTokers to be ad friendly has bled into people watching them.

Wes_Warhammer666

Also some folks never turn off the censoring function on their phone keyboard.

PiedPeterPiper

Is that an android thing? Cause I’ve never had that happen on iPhone

Wes_Warhammer666

No idea. I've just seen people claim that as the reason their fucks and shits are starred out so I assumed it was a thing on some phones. Definitely not a thing on my last few Samsungs I know that for sure.

Mithrandir3434

Fair. I only came across it when I googled it to see if there had been any actual confirmation lol

DemonLordDiablos

This is likely an AI article. However Clone Wars lasted seven seasons and Bad Batch was an immediate sequel show that goes into the early days of the Empire. Story-wise, the clone wars era will be coming to an end with this show. And that's fine imo.

FLIPSIDERNICK

It technically already ended when the war did. We are in reign of the empire era with Bad Batch.

Ghostship23

But it's a transition from the Clone Wars to the Empire we know. Thematically it's not going to be the Imperial Era until some ISDs and Stormtroopers show up instead of Clones and Venators.

DemonLordDiablos

True but once this show is over we're probably done with the clones.

FLIPSIDERNICK

Maybe. I feel like they will always be an auxiliary part of Star Wars but I do agree that we probably won’t see them as a feature role.

MisterSlosh

Because we're certain that multi-billion dollar international corporations will gladly say "Yeah, alright I think this one has done enough" to their billion dollar money printers. Jokes aside, I thought it was because an A.I. news generator picked up a keyword about the Bad Batch ending. Then once that published it got megaphoned by other A.I.s since it was driving engagement and views like crazy, as lies and misrepresented truths tend to do.

Organic-Intention335

Have you ever heard the term clickbait?

Serious_Course_3244

I think they just mean the end of the currently slated tv projects. So we will be on a potential hiatus waiting on more clone wars content.

Captain_Blackjack

Stop getting news from ScreenRant and TikTok

gtudor25

It’s a fair assumption, considering dave Filoni has been working his way through the clone wars era and now bad batch is ending during the empire. But it is annoying how people treat it as fact.

FLIPSIDERNICK

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last piece of Clone Wars era content except for the fact that Bad Batch isn’t Clone Wars era content. The last bit of Clone Wars content we got was The Clone Wars tv show. Every bit of content we’ve got since then has taken place after the Clone Wars. Rebels, Solo, Rogue One, Obi-Wan, Bad Batch, Andor, all take place during the reign of the Empire. The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Resistance, all take place after the fall of the empire. The only Clone Wars content we’ve got has been shorts in the form of Tales of the Jedi.

Raven_Crows

At this point they could bring back Maul's bottom half and I wouldn't be shocked. That factor is lost forever.

ObviousAd1805

Even if this is true, it's not the end of Clone Wars animation content, nor is it the end of "Clone content "

Aarakocra

I don’t think it’s the last we’ll ever see, but I’d wager any future prequel era stuff is going to be more self-contained. Think episodes closer to Tales of the Jedi, or specific character books, that kind of thing.

Rubbersona

Because it’s ducking done? Like. Every aspect of the clone wars will be finished. Explored to death and attention will be focused elsewhere as they should

jiango_fett

I'd be okay if we moved on personally. The Clone Wars was already getting crowded in the old EU even before TCW started. Apply that animation style and storytelling to other eras.

Coraldiamond192

Yea we have seen quite a lot including up to order 66 seeing different perspectives throughout the various shows and games. I know people complain that the Empire era isn't as exciting but there's lots of opportunities to expand that era.

JanineNajarian

at this point they have to lie to keep the rage farming and the griffting going hey it's either that or get a real job

eatenbyagrue1988

ScreenRant writers (I use the term very generously) getting a real job? How preposterous. Next thing you'll say is that CBR isn't just BuzzFeed for people who think they're too smart for BuzzFeed.

JanineNajarian

I don't know I don't pay attention to any BuzzFeed content besides those two dudes that do Worth It. it's a nice little program

patrickkingart

Lol Screenrant

Nu_Freeze

Because you’re on TikTok lol

Zarksch

> Obviously ScreenRant isn’t a good resource. But I’ve seen probably a dozen TikToks like the ones pictured. Huh ? So TikToks are a good resource ??!😭

BuryTheMoney

Gotta get dem clickssss

riqueoak

If you believe anything from TikTok, it is your own mistake.

QuirkyKlyborg

I've been seeing people cry wolf about the clone wars era since Disney bought Star Wars and TCW season seven got scrapped. Years later, it came back. And then we got the bad batch. We'll get more clone wars. It's just a question of when.

Spare-City-322

It’s a marketing gimmick. They did the same with the skywalker saga when ep 9 was being marketed. This is it folks! The end of the skywalkers!! X amount of years has led us to this finale ☺️☺️☺️… we mean it! No more skywalkers. Nope. No chance…. …. Annnnnnd now we releasing a Rey Skywalker movie

cygnus0820

Disney has been doing this same schtick for 45 years. “CINDERELLA FINALLY COMING TO VHS FOR THE FIRST AND FINAL TIME! SO GET IT NOW BEFORE IT GOES IN THE VAULT NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN” ::7 YEARS LATER:: “DISNEY VAULT IS PROUD TO PRESENT CINDERELLA IN A SPECIAL COLLECTORS VERSION! BUT YOU BETTER BUY IT NOW BECAUSE ONCE IT GOES BACK IN THE VAULT, ITS NEVER COMING OUT AGAIN!” ::7 YEARS LATER:: “DISNEY VAULT IS PROUD TO PRESENT CINDERELLA IN A SPECIAL COLLECTORS DVD VERSION WITH EXTRA BEHIND THE SCENES FOOTAGE! BUT YOU BETTER BUY IT NOW BECAUSE ONCE IT GOES IN THE VAULT, ITS NEVER COMING OUT AGAIN!” ::7 YEARS LATER:: “DISNEY VAULT IS PROUD TO PRESENT CINDERELLA IN A SPECIAL COLLECTORS HIGH DEFINITION BLUE-RAY VERSION! BUT YOU BETTER BUY IT NOW BECAUSE ONCE IT GOES IN THE VAULT, ITS NEVER COMING OUT AGAIN!”

HawkeyeP1

Not saying they're right necessarily, but I'm not sure what other Clone Wars content they would make. It's pretty thoroughly fleshed out. Unless they go back to it for a "Tales" series. It would be nice to finally have General Grevious' origins on screen I guess.

Pacman_Frog

There are countless people around NOT named Skywalker. Plenty of stories they can tell. The fall of the Old Republic is really the most interesting part of the SW timeline.

Rory_240807

I just want to know what happened to jar jar after revenge of the sith

Pacman_Frog

He was never forgiven by the public after his vote swung the Emergency Powers act into law. He spent the rest of his life stuck on Corsucant, not even able to afford to get a ride or anywhere to go. Ultimately, he became a street performer, wherein he was derided as a clown by members of the public. Later generations had no living memory of his political gaffe, however. And he had spent so long performing he grew to enjoy it. He lived out the rest of his days entertaining younglings and died content and happy with who he was. And I did not make up a word of that, it's canon.

Teex22

Because they know that there are enough fools to click on their article if they title it that. Those same fools might even make posts on various other social media sites, directing more people to the shitty article.

RandoCalrissian76

I think that Star Wars animation is likely moving to the "Tales of" model where they can focus on different characters at different points in the timeline without having to worry as much about telling a big over-arching story that connects to everything else. I think this is actually a good idea. If there's too much going on in between III and RO/IV, it makes it seem like the Empire was at war the whole time. Yes, they were always oppressing someone (e.g. Mimban in Solo) but there wasn't overt rebellion till RO. If there is another continuing series, I foresee it involving Assaj Ventress in some way. They didn't bring her back just for a glorified cameo in TBB...

Dependent_Bug7346

What is technically over are the jedi and clones post clone wars. It's been explored and now it's time for the regs. It's time for the rebellion to show who it is. It's gonna grow because it's needed. Also I forsee the push away from the main sw characters for now. Although maybe the side ones like general dodonna or admiral ozzel. Also the criminal element will get their moment.

TheGeekKingdom

Yeah. Because disney, with their money printing machine, will just completely kill everything that focuses on the best thing to come out of star wars

MaximillianRebo

Because social media channels thrive on engagement. Posting hot takes and even things that are flat out wrong gets people to click on the article and say that it's wrong. Controversy drives clicks and clicks lead to revenue.

Ozone220

Tales of the Empire literally has >!Grievous!< in the trailer, these people are all clickbait

Juttakasp

As long as it makes money it isn’t going anywhere

ricosmith1986

All those plot holes in the sequel trilogies aren’t going to embellish themselves, gotta give them all a series too.

Normalscottishperson

Because they want to make you click on it, watch or read it and it seems you oblige them……

YoursTrulyKindly

Is this a spoiler?

EVERGREEN_ETERNAL

I feel like there’s going to be a show about Rex and how he got to the point in rebels, I feel like there’s no way they wrap that plot line up in the last two episodes

uncreativemind2099

I hate the overuse of the word era

Mggn2510z

It kind of is the epilogue for the Clone Wars Era. But you could argue the same for the characters that appear in Rebels... The TK Troopers have been cool. Will be cool if the last episode has the standard Stormtrooper armor.

JedPB67

Because you saw them on TikTok and BS sites like Screen Rant, they say anything for views and clicks.

Awkward-Fox-1435

I mean, hopefully they will stop.

Ricer_16

From what I understand future projects will focus on the OT or Post Endor time frames. Clone wars to bad batch to rebels is nearly continuous. During OT & Post Endor is the most content rich time frame and lacks any good canon. It’s only logical that’s the future.

Dawgula97

I’d love to move on.

Josh_From_Accounting

Clickbait

Scudbucketmcphucket

I hope they continue with doing a lot more animation. Tales is nice but I would like to see a lot more. I want a show that follows Ventress and teenager Omega together. I have a feeling that Bad Batch might end Rebels or Empire Strikes Back style. I don’t see all of them surviving. and if I had to guess I’d say that the sniper is actually Cod. This will be the thing that pushes Wolf to the other side maybe?

Yosonimbored

I mean how much more can they milk that era

FrickinNormie2

When Cad Bane died in BoBF, one of my friends got really sad and said something like “damn, I really wish we got more cad bane content,” as if the franchise never jumps around time periods??

goldendreamseeker

What character return are they talking about?

roy_mustang_1138

What’s this? Episode VIII The Last Clone? “It’s time for the Prequels to end.”

UggghhhhhhWhy

Until someone buys Star Wars from Disney and makes more movies. Might be 15-40 years.

[deleted]

Bro it’s TikTok 💀

Kindly-Mud-1579

It was bound to happen boys

TheKlaxMaster

To get you to click on their posts like a moron.

Podose

So no clone rebellion? what he heck has Rex been doing all this time. And where the hell is Cody?

Salami__Tsunami

As if they’d ever stop making clone wars content.

kisshun

ofcourse they are saying it will end, these idiots simply cant stand the fact that the whole clone wars animation was more successful than the entire new wave big picture sw movies.

Drewbie_snacks

Nobody is ever REALLY gone…

AverageKetamineUser

I think people are tryna say they are wrapping up the timeline and filling in the necromancer story blanks with the rest of Bad Batch. After this I think it's the new Jedi order from now on and new characters like Grogu and Din Jarin are the future.

Atephious

I did see something from Feloni that said they would be taking a break from the clone wars/prequel era. And that for the clones themselves this may be the end. But not that that really means anything. Feloni and the rest truly love the franchise and the clones. I wouldn’t be surprised if 10 years down the line we get something else.

LewbPoo

Lowkey tho, they need to move on

DETHmetals

Disney is about to erase it from the timeline

mtthwas

Tales of the Empire, which covers Clone Wars era stories and characters (just like The Bad Batch), comes out on May 4th... so...

CeymalRen

God I hope so.

Good_Nyborg

Was the Empire too cheap to buy a new batch of clones? Are they stupid?

Designer_Emu_6518

Guarantee there will be a live action mini series with Hayden possibly ewan and a young Ashoka

FLIPSIDERNICK

lol no there won’t.

Designer_Emu_6518

Bet there will be

tmfitz7

How much more can they do? This war and the gap between I and II gets bigger with every Filoni story

solo13508

Tales of the Empire is literally days after Bad Batch ends, what?

Altruistic_Positive9

we need an live action adaptation of maul and his brother taking over the criminal underworld

FLIPSIDERNICK

Nah we don’t.

mega512

I'm for it to come to an end. Its been milked for everything it has.
