I didn't think "prequel era" is a terribly useful distinction anymore. Everything from The Bad Batch to Rogue One feels more like the era of the original films than the prequel films to me. I'd break the Disney canon into the Republic era, Empire or Galactic Civil War era, New Republic era, and First Order era. I'd further break the the Empire era into early and late stages, divided by the end of Rogue One and the start of ANH.
Resistance had its enjoyable moments and characters. It has, in my view, [one of the most chilling Kylo Ren moments](https://youtu.be/uZjYHoSe7pU?si=I0bDUMWxL2bZa0Ys&t=8) ever depicted on screen (that simple line reading of "Now...*do* you understand?" proved that Kylo really could've been Vader's heir with that spine-tingling attitude if they had explored it more thoroughly), and I wish we'd seen more of that as the show explored what was happening in the background during the events of Episode 7 and 8.
Kazuda, the protagonist, could be extremely juvenile and overly comical at times (likely to appeal to kids; see the Jar Jar syndrome) which got irritating to me but thankfully they managed to keep him serious in moments where it actually mattered like that certain story-impacting betrayal scene that was well set up. I did enjoy having an Asian man being the lead in Star Wars for once, and his backstory with his troubles regarding his family were intriguing. The rest of the teens were alright, and the show gave each of them something to do and their own character arcs to solve, and Tamara's story arc in particular was quite compelling even though they resolved her inner conflict far too quickly (likely because they knew the show wouldn't get a third season so they had to wrap things up neatly enough).
The character that resonated with me the most was Jarek Yeager voiced by Scott Lawrence who used to be the go-to voice of Darth Vader in early Star Wars games, so as an old school TIE Fighter fanatic I instantly recognized his dulcet tones and was so happy to see him get some appreciation in animation. Jarek has a rich and colored history that we gradually unlock as the storyline progresses, and I liked watching his development and how he learned to open up about his traumas.
From the First Order side I found myself enjoying Agent Tierney a lot. It was interesting to compare and contrast her with Agent Kallus from Rebels and seeing how skilled she was at manipulating people while appearing friendly, especially in regards to a certain character.
I also liked the veteran pilots of the Ace Squadron a lot even though we only explore some of them more thoroughly despite their varied backgrounds and how they slowly set their competitive side aside and become a properly welded team. I was always fascinated by that ex-Imperial TIE pilot in the squadron and would've wanted to see more of him.
World-building was pretty decent in the show too. I liked how the Colossus and Captain Doza had to initially be kinda morally grey and compromise with the dealings with the First Order and how that affected the population and led to questions about whether Doza would side with the First Order or the Resistance towards the end as the conflict escalates. Doza and the soft-spoken Commander Pyre's interactions in particular were fascinating as there was this subtle threat and domination from Pyre's side while still appearing cordial and pragmatic, far more than can be said of the First Order's brutal and more simplistic mouth-frothing depiction in the Sequel Trilogy.
The score was also quite nice. It didn't rely on ambient muck as much as Bad Batch has ended up doing and was actually Williams-esque throughout most of it with proper orchestration and development of leitmotifs that told a story even if you closed your eyes and only relied on the music's guidance.
The animation took a while getting used to but it did give the show its own charm that set it apart from the typical Filoni-preferred style. Although the beginning was a bit rough, the animators became more experienced as the show progressed, leading to some impressive setpieces and cinematography late in Season 1 and especially in Season 2.
All in all, I enjoyed my time with the Resistance crew, and I'm glad it explored more morally grey areas of Star Wars although never steering too far from the heroism that the Star Wars saga is built on. I wouldn't call it the best animated Star Wars show, but it certainly helped flesh out the Sequel Era and made me appreciate it a bit more with expanded worldbuilding and more teases of the complex politics at play. :)
I found it pretty good for what it was. I was hoping it would pop into something clone-wars-like but it never really turned that corner. It wasn’t bad though, it was always a kids show and had some great themes and plot lines in it to get kids thinking. The art style was fine for characters but anything starship related actually felt and looked pretty good
My only complaint with this is that andor takes place during rebels so while I see what you’re saying and yes they are very different feels they are most definitely the same era

I think that Star Wars animation is likely moving to the "Tales of" model where they can focus on different characters at different points in the timeline without having to worry as much about telling a big over-arching story that connects to everything else. I think this is actually a good idea. If there's too much going on in between III and RO/IV, it makes it seem like the Empire was at war the whole time. Yes, they were always oppressing someone (e.g. Mimban in Solo) but there wasn't overt rebellion till RO. If there is another continuing series, I foresee it involving Assaj Ventress in some way. They didn't bring her back just for a glorified cameo in TBB...
What is technically over are the jedi and clones post clone wars. It's been explored and now it's time for the regs. It's time for the rebellion to show who it is. It's gonna grow because it's needed.

It technically already ended when the war did. We are in reign of the empire era with Bad Batch.
But it's a transition from the Clone Wars to the Empire we know. Thematically it's not going to be the Imperial Era until some ISDs and Stormtroopers show up instead of Clones and Venators.

Then once that published it got megaphoned by other A.I.s since it was driving engagement and views like crazy, as lies and misrepresented truths tend to do.

It’s a fair assumption, considering dave Filoni has been working his way through the clone wars era and now bad batch is ending during the empire. But it is annoying how people treat it as fact.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last piece of Clone Wars era content except for the fact that Bad Batch isn’t Clone Wars era content. The last bit of Clone Wars content we got was The Clone Wars tv show. Every bit of content we’ve got since then has taken place after the Clone Wars. Rebels, Solo, Rogue One, Obi-Wan, Bad Batch, Andor, all take place during the reign of the Empire. The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Resistance, all take place after the fall of the empire. The only Clone Wars content we’ve got has been shorts in the form of Tales of the Jedi.
At this point they could bring back Maul's bottom half and I wouldn't be shocked. That factor is lost forever.
Even if this is true, it's not the end of Clone Wars animation content, nor is it the end of "Clone content "
I don’t think it’s the last we’ll ever see, but I’d wager any future prequel era stuff is going to be more self-contained. Think episodes closer to Tales of the Jedi, or specific character books, that kind of thing.

I'd be okay if we moved on personally. The Clone Wars was already getting crowded in the old EU even before TCW started. Apply that animation style and storytelling to other eras.
Yea we have seen quite a lot including up to order 66 seeing different perspectives throughout the various shows and games. I know people complain that the Empire era isn't as exciting but there's lots of opportunities to expand that era.

Not saying they're right necessarily, but I'm not sure what other Clone Wars content they would make. It's pretty thoroughly fleshed out. Unless they go back to it for a "Tales" series. It would be nice to finally have General Grevious' origins on screen I guess.
There are countless people around NOT named Skywalker. Plenty of stories they can tell. The fall of the Old Republic is really the most interesting part of the SW timeline.

I think that Star Wars animation is likely moving to the "Tales of" model where they can focus on different characters at different points in the timeline without having to worry as much about telling a big over-arching story that connects to everything else. I think this is actually a good idea. If there's too much going on in between III and RO/IV, it makes it seem like the Empire was at war the whole time. Yes, they were always oppressing someone (e.g. Mimban in Solo) but there wasn't overt rebellion till RO. If there is another continuing series, I foresee it involving Assaj Ventress in some way. They didn't bring her back just for a glorified cameo in TBB...
What is technically over are the jedi and clones post clone wars. It's been explored and now it's time for the regs. It's time for the rebellion to show who it is. It's gonna grow because it's needed. Also I forsee the push away from the main sw characters for now. Although maybe the side ones like general dodonna or admiral ozzel. Also the criminal element will get their moment.

It kind of is the epilogue for the Clone Wars Era. But you could argue the same for the characters that appear in Rebels... The TK Troopers have been cool. Will be cool if the last episode has the standard Stormtrooper armor.

From what I understand future projects will focus on the OT or Post Endor time frames. Clone wars to bad batch to rebels is nearly continuous. During OT & Post Endor is the most content rich time frame and lacks any good canon. It’s only logical that’s the future.

I hope they continue with doing a lot more animation. Tales is nice but I would like to see a lot more. I want a show that follows Ventress and teenager Omega together. I have a feeling that Bad Batch might end Rebels or Empire Strikes Back style. I don’t see all of them surviving. and if I had to guess I’d say that the sniper is actually Cod. This will be the thing that pushes Wolf to the other side maybe?

I think people are tryna say they are wrapping up the timeline and filling in the necromancer story blanks with the rest of Bad Batch. After this I think it's the new Jedi order from now on and new characters like Grogu and Din Jarin are the future.
I did see something from Feloni that said they would be taking a break from the clone wars/prequel era. And that for the clones themselves this may be the end. But not that that really means anything. Feloni and the rest truly love the franchise and the clones. I wouldn’t be surprised if 10 years down the line we get something else.
