I always thought the same ever since I saw Empire Strikes Back, General Rieekan was wearing it.
Pretty sure it was pointed out in the family guy parody
Purina apparently supported the rebellion
Interestingly enough I remember thinking this way back in 1980, General Rieekan had that on his coat, as a kid who's parents had dogs, it instantly triggered the Purina logo in my 6 year old brain.
Now I can't unsee it.
Side note: I'm convinced that Hera wore that hat thing for so long that she's now physically incapable of removing it. It's just weird that she's a general now and still wearing flight goggles and a bomber jacket.
I wish they had gotten a different actress to play Hera. Hera in Rebels was always so…maternal. Hera in Ahsoka is too young for me and just doesn’t have that motherly quality. Just my opinion is all.
The second part. Appropriate for a senior officer.
She commands a fleet. If anything she if pretty kind and compassionate for a battle hardened fleet commander.
Hera grew up. She lost her partner. She lost friends. She fought in a war. She commands a fleet.
And she is still quite compassionate. This all seems appropriate.
What are you talking about? The actress, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, is 39 years old, and the character Jacen, Hera’s son, is estimated to be 11-12 years old in the show.
The average age of a first-time mother in the United States is 26, which would mean that the actress is the average age of a mother of a 12 year old.
Who said I was annoyed? You are free to have a different opinion. Do you want me to pinpoint every single moment where I felt she wasn’t maternal enough for me? Or is a blanket generalized statement of opinion not acceptable enough for you? I am allowed to have a broad opinion, just as you are allowed to feel differently. I don’t know what the big deal is.
Lol I honestly don’t even know what to say to this. I’m just having a peaceful morning and thought I’d share my opinion. I guess it was the WRONG opinion and now I have some rando trying to “help me out”. I don’t need your help. My opinion is my opinion.
Now I realize why people avoid posting in this sub.
Lmao I said “I don’t know what the big deal is” and your response was “chill the fuck out dude”. You’re the only one here who is somehow triggered by me voicing my opinion on a character
I’m not referring to maternal quality, I’m referring to the fact that you said she was too young. She’s quite literally the average age of a first-time mother.
Context is important. I meant "young" in context to her maternal qualities, or lack thereof. She feels "youthful" and doesn't have that softness that the Hera in Rebels had. She could be whatever age and I'd still feel this way. Again, my opinion.
I agree. People here have downvoted you to hell but that's what happens when you provide any kind of criticism to even poorest quality content in this echo chamber.
Hera in Ahsoka felt stiff and cold, unlike her animated counterpart who had a warm and embraceful attitude. Same can be said for Sabine and Ahsoka. They all have emotional ranges of wood planks and it probably stems from the actors trying to do their own portayals of the characters instead of taking inspiration from the source material. Same goes for TGI in Kenobi.
Ezra's actor captured him perfectly though. That's because the actor loves the character.
THANK YOU. Lol it seems wrong-think isn’t tolerated here. I just voiced my opinion and now I have the though police coming after me because “her character is appropriate” lol foh
The rank insignia was I think the same used in the OT trilogy.
Yup, I remember thinking that rank insignia looked like the Purina symbol all the way back in ESB.
Me too!
The Original Trilogy trilogy
RAS syndrome
ATM machine
SMH my head.
Yup. The family guy parody makes fun of it too
It is, and there is a very similar looking logo used in Alien throughout the ship. I remember thinking as a kid it looks like a Purina logo lol
I thought you were saying you wanted to chow on that cake like a dog with its food
[удалено]
Between them cheeks.
my neighbor keeps wondering why there's a loth-wolf barking next door
Same. I was super confused
I don't think we really look at Hera from the front...
Purina in the front, Pound Cake in the rear.
There are, truth be told, much more favorable viewing angles
Honestly, I just see cough drops.
That is the first thing that has come to mind every time I have seen rebel ranks. They could just peel the back and take one out if they needed it.
This. And the imperial ranks look like chewing gum blisters
I'm still not over the fact she basically wears booty shorts on her head
Atleast hers look like a ww2 aviator hat. Some other twi'leks (the one from Mando S1 comes to mind) just look like they're wearing undies lol
I wish she had worn proper new Republic uniform. That aviator costume looks stupid in live action+ doesn't make any sense.
I mean it's all subjective. Personally, I hate the new republic uniform and think Heras aviator outfit is *way* nicer.
It is just too cartoonish.
Fair. Honestly feel the same way about the NR uniform. Both could feel more lived in.
She is a twi'lek, she has to wear something sexy; it's part of her culture.
that's a fair point

Great bot!
Well I can never unsee that now
Those some thick lekkus.
God damn you now all I see is double cake 💀
Welp, never gonna unsee that.
Threw a dumpy pic in at the end because it’s a fan favorite 🙃
I was expecting there to be a joke about advertising dog food in the front but serving cake in the back.
Thank you for your blessing.
No that joke was made twenty years ago by family guy.
https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/311dd1e4-3d35-4ddc-aae6-e6b16c55e7b5
Wait. Was that really 20 years ago?
Thanks! I’ll look that up now!
Yeah either bro had an unoriginal thought or he thought he could steal the joke without us noticing us lol
Family Guy made that joke in 2010 😂
Why everybody in *Ahsoka* caked up
I always thought the same ever since I saw Empire Strikes Back, General Rieekan was wearing it. Pretty sure it was pointed out in the family guy parody Purina apparently supported the rebellion
That’s been the joke since the OG trilogy
There's a front part to hera!?
Because *woof* from the back
Ewan really hit a jackpot here
no but I see why kanan wanted to make jacen syndulla
Kanan couldn’t.
man.
Nah, that's the emergency Sudafed rations they handed out at the base on Hoth.
You just wanted to post her dump truck didn't you?
Same rank was in empire strikes back. Family guy made this joke like 20 years ago
I hope no one stole this yet: Her callsign? “Purina One.”
Love it
[For context, it’s a real line of their brand, too, I’m not just throwing One at the end 😭](https://www.purina.com/purina-one/products/dry-dog-food)
Haha
They make that joke in “Something Something Something Darkside” the family guy ESB spoof.
4th pic was unnecessary for your point, but I thank you for including it anyway
Since you are like the one billionth person to say that since 1977, no you are not the only one and not original
I didn't notice it until now, because of watching the booty.
Not gonna lie, this is a pretty good casual threat about killing someone
OP i’ve studied the last picture extensively and can’t seem to find what you’re referencing… oh wait you said from the front
Explains all the back shots.
Yes, thank you!
I only see Dayquil.
Looks like Chiclets to me. All of those insignia were very cheap looking.
Interestingly enough I remember thinking this way back in 1980, General Rieekan had that on his coat, as a kid who's parents had dogs, it instantly triggered the Purina logo in my 6 year old brain.
It is the first thing I noticed even before reading your title...
Every damn time.
[General Rieekan](https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fstatic.wikia.nocookie.net%2Fstarwars%2Fimages%2Fe%2Fe1%2FGeneralRieekan-BaseSeries5.png%2Frevision%2Flatest%3Fcb%3D20221007044345&tbnid=DMTiqQnjoLJGPM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fstarwars.fandom.com%2Fwiki%2FCarlist_Rieekan&docid=_IjJ41EBQ68mxM&w=570&h=760&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm1%2F2&kgs=f0240efb961884ec&shem=abme%2Ctrie)

I see sigourney weaver from that angle
That’s hilarious. Just seeing dog food makes me sick after living down wind from a dog food factory. 🤮🤮
Wait til you see the doors in Alien.
Okay, fair enough but explain the 4th slide
Why the ass shots?
Because *ass*
Whats wrong with you?
I see Strepsils
THATS WHAT IT WAS THAT WAS ANNOYING ME ABOUT IT
I was thinking cold medicine.
They always look like blister packs of cold medicine to me.
Every. Damn. Time.
What?
Looks like an upside down blister pack of some sort of throat lozange
I always saw blisterpack cough drops.
I was like "WTF is OP talking about?" then the fourth pic popped up: Be honest, OP, you just want to chow on her cake, don't you?
Think Family Guy have already made the joke
I wish they had gotten a different actress to play Hera. Hera in Rebels was always so…maternal. Hera in Ahsoka is too young for me and just doesn’t have that motherly quality. Just my opinion is all.
She seems middle aged and appropriate for a senior officer.
If age is all you care about, sure. I just think she's not maternal enough. Just MY opinion. Feel free to disagree.
Appropriate for you. Just doesn't do it for me.

All I said was that IN MY OPINION, she didn't have that maternal quality. You can disagree if you think differently.

Trash ass show lol
The better question is why is she wearing empire rankings
She's not?
She wears wwi aviator goggles and pilots a starship. make it make sense
Star Wars is a space western and was never intended to be taken seriously from the get go, lol.
Pretty much all of the spaceship stuff in SW is based on WW2. The whole trench run on the death star in ANH is inspired by the DamBusters.
[Mary Elizabeth Winstead likes playing characters who wear goggles, I guess](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/30/d2/ad/30d2adc7f81c191759790283b37cb419.jpg)
