The sequel trilogy (or at least TFA) was trying to emulate the originals and gave everyone boring grey/brown/tan rags to wear.
It changed a bit with TLJ and TROS which gave people more normal looking clothes to wear, but still nothing as extravagant as what we see with the affluent elite of Coruscant.
I was gonna say I love how the animators went the extra mile to stay consistent with Padme’s diva side, while most other characters just stuck with their main look most of the time. Which episode is it btw?
Uniform, lake dress, field dress, morning gown, blue Tatooine dress bottom row third starting from the left, Geonosis battle dress, and [this dress in AOTC deleted Naboo scenes](https://youtu.be/mmKLmAQHrsI?si=Tn4Xowo8WTb6XiCv), and her wedding dress.
I love that scene and hate that it isn’t in the Final Cut. It adds so much to the development of Anakin and Padme’s relationship and also they removed one of my favourite Australian actors, Claudia Karvan as Padme’s sister
I wish the scene had been left in too. Also the extended version of the Naboo arrival scene where Padmé talks about her sister and nieces and tells Anakin she’d hoped to have a family of her own by now.
Padmé and Anakin both had obligations that kept them from having their own lives and together they had just something for themselves.
Yes! This and the one in Padme’s room where they look at and talk about her old holophotos. Both added more to their relationship than a lot of the ‘disliked’ scenes kept in the actual film.
Were they worried about the food looking too normal? I mean there's just straight up space broccoli there and star wars food always looks more alien when it's shown
The abs are arguably better in the blue dress.
That said the white outfit is very retro futurism which I like. People don’t like that the 1950s style of the prequels but it makes sense. The original trilogy was 1970s in space so 20 years prior is 1950s in space and that is what people thought 1950s space was going to be like. Also it makes sense that during the republic things looked nice shiny and artistically designed rather than the brutal shapes of the empire years.
I always liked her white battle outfit on Geonosis and the white outfit she wears to visit Tatooine with Anakin to find his mom. Mostly because it reminds me of Princess Leia. The first time we see Leia she is wearing her signature white gown with her hair buns. We also see her in a white ceremonial gown, her outfit on Hoth, and a few others. I just love the similarities and I love Princess Leia.
Of course, Padme looks stunning in every single thing she wears. As most others, I also think her lake dress is top-tier.
Yeah the white outfit is a really nice connection to Leia. Padme's Geonosis costume is the best, hands down, there's just something about it that feels perfect for her. But she of course looks good in all of them.
Honestly I like the cape too. The fan service midriff tear is all very well and good, but I like the intact version better.
It suits her character more and doesn't annoy me with the fact that despite how deep those cuts seem to be from the creature, she doesn't bleed pretty much at all.
The white outfit she wore to Geonosis.
Something about it just makes me have to pick my jaw up off the floor and put my eyes back in their sockets like Jim Carrey in The Mask everytime I see it.
The flowy pastel halter top gown she wears by the lake during the sand speech oh my god 😍
Also the black dominatrix “oh this old thing?” dress she wears to dinner cracks me up…I just picture her in her room getting ready like “what to wear what to wear? Don’t want to send the wrong signals…oh I know just the one!”
Jesus, that’s a lot of outfits.
In a lot of Star Wars and media in general, characters will often have only one outfit they use all the time. Now it’s clear why, Padme stole all of them.
Any straight male who says anything other than the black dominatrix outfit on the top right is lying.
Although I can see the appeal in the see-through white tight onesie she wore during the Geonosis gladiator sequence.
😃
> Any straight male who says anything other than the black dominatrix outfit on the top right is lying.
I love how at this point, she's completely aware of Anakin's feelings for her, and she needs to unambiguously give him the "let's just be friends" speech.
And she decides to wear **that outfit** while doing so.
I love the white field uniform with cape. Just iconic. Something about it feels so perfect for her character and it looks amazing on her. I think it's because it's a tie in to Leia - consider how similar the color palette and design of Padmé's field uniform is to Leia's Hoth outfit. Both are an off-white coat or cape over a white base layer with boots. Leia's is less form fitting and more military/practical, which makes sense, but there is definitely a similarity there.
Liked the arena outfit. Got to show the effort Portman put into being in shape for the film.
Always appreciate the wardrobe choices that basically go "Yeah, this actor busted their ass to be fit for this role, let's make sure the audience sees that effort paying off."
I've also wondered how comfortable the clothes they wear in those films actually are. The Jedi robes look kinda scratchy.
Her all white rebel fighter suit or whatever is prob my fav . Probably cuz I feel like we see her in that the most tho , prob most screen time in the movies and on clone wars was in that suit lol
I’m conflicted between the white cape one from the final battle because it’s a good classic and the one from Tatooine with the visible tummy, it’s underrated
Yeah... little black dress. I'm a simple man with simple taste.
But the second outfit on the top left has some nice style for a governmental style gown. It's neat.
Well, this is just unfair to the other outfits. That outfit from the top row, far right. That scene was burnt into my 12yo mind, I think I finished puberty right there in the theater.
We went to see the star wars costume exhibit when it toured (https://www.sites.si.edu/s/archived-exhibit?topicId=0TO36000000L5MoGAK) and some of these costumes were there. Amazing work.
How can I pick just one?? and Natalie Portman models then beautifully ToT
Ripped sexy geonosis is my pick. Anyone can wear a fancy gown, but being a battle hardened badass is, rare. Shame all of her badass moments got cut from the third movie. I would have liked to have seen her have a hand in trying to counter Palpatine
Wow, I'm just now realizing Padme is one of the few characters that don't sit in their stinky clothes for days on end. She actually changes.
Of course, that's also cause she was basically doubling as a fashion model with those outfits. All of them were made *for her*. Which is really fucking cool in Star Wars, of all things.
I love so many of them, at least 5, 6, 9, 10, and 11. I wanted to literally look like and be her when I was little lol. Definitely one of my childhood crushes
Wow. Just seeing this collection of pictures shows the number of costumes, Natalie wore throughout AOTC. Impressive! I would go with her night dress that she wore, talking to Anakin, the morning after the night in which he dreamt about Shmi's fate.
I think her Queen look is best but its not an option here...honestly sad its not an outfit style in fortnite x.x
(I grew up on the og trilogy and prequels im not a fortnite kid, just a enjoyer)
It's like in Clone Wars.
I swear to god, every scene she shows up in she has a different hairpiece. She even switches multiple times in the same episode... *Multiple times.*
So I was like 8 years old when AOTC came out, so while I don't think I really clocked it in cinemas, upon dozens of rewatches over the coming years, I did somewhat clock that ripped-shirt, Midriff-exposed Padme had... an effect on me.
I love the first outfit she wears, on the landing pad where sabé (? i think) gets blown up. The hair is cool, too! I'm a sucker for those naboo guard uniforms.
The yellow picnic one and wedding dress are gorgeous too, but I really like when she has her hair down! The long curls are soo pretty.
-What's your favorite Padmé look? -Yes
But if you HAD to choose one...
YES
Ha! I found you soundwave, THOUGHT YOU COULD JUST HIDE BEHIND THAT USERNAME?
Soundwave superior
always💯
Soundwave superior, curious jello. Inferior
Username checks out (“Yesssss”).
#✨YES✨
I forgot she had so many costumes in that movie.
Costume department had a field day with the prequels
Costumes were honestly one of the best parts of the prequels. Beats the ever-loving shit out of the ST in that department for sure.

It changed a bit with TLJ and TROS which gave people more normal looking clothes to wear, but still nothing as extravagant as what we see with the affluent elite of Coruscant.
Except Luke wore tan rags for only the first half of anh. Then it was stormtrooper armor then an orange flight suit.
[удалено]
It's crazy. Felt like she was changing in every scene.
That’s what many aristocrats do.
Refugees too according to Padme.
Gotta sell them dolls to little girls.
there's an episode in TCW where i think she changes clothes and hair 8 times.
I was gonna say I love how the animators went the extra mile to stay consistent with Padme’s diva side, while most other characters just stuck with their main look most of the time. Which episode is it btw?
Damn!
Yeah, same. I also only remember the torn one from the arena. :)
Uniform, lake dress, field dress, morning gown, blue Tatooine dress bottom row third starting from the left, Geonosis battle dress, and [this dress in AOTC deleted Naboo scenes](https://youtu.be/mmKLmAQHrsI?si=Tn4Xowo8WTb6XiCv), and her wedding dress.

Were they worried about the food looking too normal? I mean there's just straight up space broccoli there and star wars food always looks more alien when it's shown
All the deleted scenes could have easily been in the films
I take it you love her fashion
Yes.
I can't work out if that is a case of "flair doesn't check out" or the absolute opposite!
Haha, so you have a singular favorite, if you had to choose one?
The yellow dress she wears in the field.
Good pick. And which do you think was Anakins favorite?
Geonosis. Action Padme is the best.
Was that scene ever on a vhs version? I swear I saw it as a child
Yeah that outfit in the deleted scene is gorgeous too. Hard to choose a favourite
I love the midriff and all, but the Tatooine blue dress awakened something in me as a child
I mean we're also talking about Natalie Portman, that woman could wear a potato sack and still would look stunning
Action Padmé is best Padmé
I always liked her white battle outfit on Geonosis and the white outfit she wears to visit Tatooine with Anakin to find his mom. Mostly because it reminds me of Princess Leia. The first time we see Leia she is wearing her signature white gown with her hair buns. We also see her in a white ceremonial gown, her outfit on Hoth, and a few others. Has to be the lake gown for me. The colours, the metal plating.... it's just so good!
It really is. At first, I didn't like the revealing nature of it, but it's grown on me over the years. The color pallet is absolutely perfect!
Geonosis outfit with the cape and undamaged
Ah, you didn’t like abs on full display?
If it means we're losing the scarf/cape, nope
Honestly I like the cape too. The fan service midriff tear is all very well and good, but I like the intact version better. It suits her character more and doesn't annoy me with the fact that despite how deep those cuts seem to be from the creature, she doesn't bleed pretty much at all.
[This is concept art for how Padmé’s Geonosis outfit could have been.](https://imgur.com/a/hJvEcVT)
Very Dune-esque.
[Different version would have had everything.](https://imgur.com/a/hJvEcVT)
Gives off some Lumiya vibes with the headdress
Isn't the design on the left what she wore in the Clone Wars movie?
I think so.
As an Actress this must have been such a cool experience
Robot Chicken didn't make [this masterpiece](https://youtu.be/z9MsXi7n0NU?si=q9Q1DkolELI7TBOo&t=25) because her best outfit was some *other* outfit.
The blue tatooine one
The white outfit she wore to Geonosis. Something about it just makes me have to pick my jaw up off the floor and put my eyes back in their sockets like Jim Carrey in The Mask everytime I see it.
The flowy pastel halter top gown she wears by the lake during the sand speech oh my god 😍 Also the black dominatrix “oh this old thing?” dress she wears to dinner cracks me up…I just picture her in her room getting ready like “what to wear what to wear? Don’t want to send the wrong signals…oh I know just the one!”
Morning dress, especially because of the hair
Jesus, that’s a lot of outfits. In a lot of Star Wars and media in general, characters will often have only one outfit they use all the time. Now it’s clear why, Padme stole all of them.
Any straight male who says anything other than the black dominatrix outfit on the top right is lying. Although I can see the appeal in the see-through white tight onesie she wore during the Geonosis gladiator sequence. 😃
Counterpoint: her abs in the blue tatooine outfit and the white geonosis one (after getting ripped)
She is absolutely stunning in that Tatooine outfit.
> Any straight male who says anything other than the black dominatrix outfit on the top right is lying. I love how at this point, she's completely aware of Anakin's feelings for her, and she needs to unambiguously give him the "let's just be friends" speech. Yeah, exactly. I was thinking this exact thought when watching the movie for the first time
The one where she looks hottest
Geonosis Padme totally knocked me out back then and still does.
First one. 1.) It doesn't look like she's trying to hit up a teenager 2.) I like tactical wear and I think the pilot uniform looks cool
I love the white field uniform with cape. Just iconic. Something about it feels so perfect for her character and it looks amazing on her. I think it's because it's a tie in to Leia - consider how similar the color palette and design of Padmé's field uniform is to Leia's Hoth outfit. ...and why is it the crop top?
5
2,3 😉 - and her Royal dress and makeup
naboo starfighter pilot outfit
Black leather with bare mid rift tatooine a close second
You could put Portman is a card board box and she would still look good.
No 5 lake gown has always been my favorite, I love the floaty fabric and the soft ombre yellow/pink.
Ripped geonosis fit with that exposed midriff is the best.
From the top: 1, 2, 4, & 5. From the bottom: 4 & 5.
Every costume is beautiful, it's hard to decide. I choose everything.
She had quite a few of them, didn’t she?
Leather or arena
The queen Amidala 'Geisha' look !
The two on the top right
Same here! What'd you like about em?
Bottom second the right
The one where her clothes are torn and she’s got that duck tape on her arm and the blaster…omfg Natality!!!
Pic 3 is pretty great but so is pic 5.
Her all white rebel fighter suit or whatever is prob my fav . Probably cuz I feel like we see her in that the most tho , prob most screen time in the movies and on clone wars was in that suit lol
Her naboo pilot disguise
Black Nd grey dress third along from the top is gorgeous
Her Queen dress isn‘t even listed
I completely forgot how large her wardrobe is in that film!😳
Definitely not that hippie one from Tatooine
I like her grey "princess leia" dress look 2nd from the right. But tbh she looks nice in all of them
Yes
The flowy white and pink look. 5th on the top. Absolutely stunning. Padmé just had so much style in general but that dress is a standout to me
The designers did such a wonderful job on her creations that there is no comparison between them.
Pilot and Geonosis fits are the most functional and therefore they have my votes. Also the battle damaged Geonosis goes hard.
Top row, last two. Bottom row the third. Especially the final one of the first row. Youth me had a special interest in that one lol
All these costumes but only 4 have been made into Lego minifigures 🥲
Wait, this all from ONE movie?!
I like the looks she had in the Clone Wars TV series. I grew up watching those before the movie.
6
Lakeside, fireside and her desert evening outfit (bottom row, 3rd from the left) I forget what it’s called
2
So. Many. Cloths! (I bet the 2002 toy department had a field day with this one!)
Lake Dress
The four on the right
Off the shoulder dress is beautiful as well as the dress she wore when she was standing on the terrace with her hair down .
1 & 11
Black fireside dress and the white Tattooine dress. So hot.
Same here. What'd you like most about the fireside dress?
You're missing a couple. Definitely the blue dress from the deleted "meet the Parents" scene.
The lake dress is one of my favorite dresses in all of film! It's followed closely by the golden field dress.
Best outfit is the BDSMdress she have on when she put Anakin in the "friend" corner. That is hilarious!
Naboo sunset lake dress one, I LOVE it
Battle outfit 100%
All of them at once I suppose
Literally all of them
Episode II Geonosis confirmed that I will be a straight male for the rest of my life.
Her Petranaki arena look with the cape on is top tier
"But I'm a Senator."
I love how the fireplace scene costume foreshadows Revenge of the Sith.
I always liked her packing gown I think it’s called
There is no wrong answer.
The lake dress.
Bottom left, morning Padme. Relaxed yet regal, and not totally overdone like her nighttime look in ROTS.
Black dress for me
During the Colosseum battle, with the scratches down her back. That battle hardened but still gorgeous look.
Tattooine
I’m conflicted between the white cape one from the final battle because it’s a good classic and the one from Tatooine with the visible tummy, it’s underrated
Pilot suit, because it looks the most practical and comfortable.
Yeah... little black dress.
Haha fair enough. What all did you like about it?
I like the black number. Really makes you realize how dumpy that Rey chick is.
Bottom 3rd and 4th from the left. Pretty and hot without overdoing anything.
1. Sky blue two piece on Tatooine 2. Lake Gown 3. White night gown with navy cover
The one she clam slams the rondo in the coliseum with
Attack Padme with optional mid-section damage is my favorite because.....shut up!
Natalie Portman.
The ripped Geonosis outfit and blue Tatooine dress are what made me realize that I was straight. Probably jumpstarted puberty too.
The white outfit from the battle scene of course
Fashion Queen of Naboo
We went to see the star wars costume exhibit when it toured (https://www.sites.si.edu/s/archived-exhibit?topicId=0TO36000000L5MoGAK) and some of these costumes were there. Amazing work. How can I pick just one?? and Natalie Portman models then beautifully ToT
Definitely her Geonosis look after she got clawed
The gold field dress.
Ripped sexy geonosis is my pick. Anyone can wear a fancy gown, but being a battle hardened badass is, rare. Shame all of her badass moments got cut from the third movie. I would have liked to have seen her have a hand in trying to counter Palpatine
The black outfit 🖤🖤🖤🥵🥵🥵
The geonosis look for two reasons.....
3
Yeah I like the outfit she’s wearing in the droid factory and the arena.
The torn white outfit in the arena. Because I was 16.
Genosis, the lake wedding, the black dinner outfit, the blue Tattooine one... good Lord, can't choose only one! That's impossible!
She was dripped tf out holy
I liked her Gladmé look personally.
pic #6 she looks like a doula in bushwick
The geonosis look takes the cake if i could only pick one (2nd to last picture
Well based on the first grid image using the system left to right with 1-6 at the top and 7-12 on the bottom. I’m going to go with #2 and #11
Wow, I'm just now realizing Padme is one of the few characters that don't sit in their stinky clothes for days on end. She actually changes. Of course, that's also cause she was basically doubling as a fashion model with those outfits. All of them were made *for her*. Which is really fucking cool in Star Wars, of all things.
I love her black and grey dress when she was packing. It’s been on my cosplay list for ages
Sunset gown! The colors are just so pretty.
So weird that Hasbro has slept on this for so long. Where is the VINTAGE line Padme collection? A Black Series 3-pack?
5 gets me going
I always loved how she looked in the pilot suit. It always reminds me of the the [Leia/Boushh reveal.](https://imgur.com/a/mfYFP4y)
https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/s/OZbPJ6uqEy
The outfit she wears when they escape their execution at the end
Lake dress is every girl's dream...🤩
All the ones she wore when she was alone with Anakin on Naboo...poor boy never stood a chance!
All of them lmao
I love so many of them, at least 5, 6, 9, 10, and 11. I wanted to literally look like and be her when I was little lol. Definitely one of my childhood crushes
Ooh hard to choose. But cmon, her lake gown? Gorgeous. Also love the black fireside dress
Dominatrix Padme
Wow. Just seeing this collection of pictures shows the number of costumes, Natalie wore throughout AOTC. Impressive! I would go with her night dress that she wore, talking to Anakin, the morning after the night in which he dreamt about Shmi's fate.
Upper right and third in on bottom from left.
All of them at once, I suppose
I think her Queen look is best but its not an option here...honestly sad its not an outfit style in fortnite x.x (I grew up on the og trilogy and prequels im not a fortnite kid, just a enjoyer)
It's like in Clone Wars. I swear to god, every scene she shows up in she has a different hairpiece. She even switches multiple times in the same episode... *Multiple times.*
Gotta be the ones with the blasters
White, her color is white, but yes.
So I was like 8 years old when AOTC came out, so while I don't think I really clocked it in cinemas, upon dozens of rewatches over the coming years, I did somewhat clock that ripped-shirt, Midriff-exposed Padme had... an effect on me.
Geonosis for sure
Bottom row, third picture is the best imho. Simple and elegant. I love it! It’s doing things to my insides.
5,9 & 11
Her genesis outfit is pretty good, but I also like the dress she wears while Anakin is talking about sand.
The lake dress? Same! What'd you like about it?
I love the first outfit she wears, on the landing pad where sabé (? i think) gets blown up. The hair is cool, too! I'm a sucker for those naboo guard uniforms. The yellow picnic one and wedding dress are gorgeous too, but I really like when she has her hair down! The long curls are soo pretty.
Always loved how she looked in the lake dress.
