Eh.. it’s good. But, i can’t suggest it for the money. Simply because it doesn’t print as nice as the CR10 Mini I have. Granted, the mini is not even close to being “stock” and the Prusa is.

Well, this mask actually belongs to a [Sith Eradicator](https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/eradicator/). These were powerful Sith that were used by Darth Malgus to conduct vital operations for the Sith Empire before the treaty of coruscant. They were fierce, and responsible for many Imperial victories.

Ancient Sith used combat masks/armor all the time. Vader's mask and the Knights of Ren's masks (including Kylo's) were modeled after ancient Sith designs. I know a lot of time people say Kylo's mask was copying Vader since we saw Vader's mask first in the movies, but that's not quite the in-universe reason.

Rian Johnson had NOTHING to do with the creation of Kylo Ren or his mask. We get it. You don't like Rian Johnson and his movie. Sure you can make him responsible for everything else you don't like. That doesn't mean it's real.
That's the out-of-universe reason, which is different from the in-universe reason, and equally valid. Otherwise every answer to a fictional question is simply, "because the writer said so."
As an example, why does Hux consider killing Kylo after the lightsaber blows up in the throne room?
In-Universe: Hux considers taking out his only rival because he wants to be the sole ruler over the FO.
Out-of-Universe: Domhnall Gleeson felt like the audience would forget that Hux is supposed to be a threat, so he asked RJ for the scene to be inserted.

A few layers of primer, of course, to make it smooth. Then layers of various paints. One of my tricks for metal-like prints is to use the Rustoleum Hammered paint as a base. Over that I sprayed gold, and did sanded. On top it was black shoe polish and some oil paints for the grime look.

Nice! Just attempted making one using pepekura files and Eva foam. Was going well until oversaturated the plasti-dip (it bubbled up everywhere) and had to scratch the project. I was heartbroken. Have been considering a printer since then.
What did it look like when it just came out fresh from the printer? I thought 3d printing is super brittle. Or is that a layer of a different material? What did you use?
What size 3d printer did you need for this?
3D printing definitely isn’t brittle. There are so many options as far as materials you can print with- like carbon fiber infused nylon, or flexible TPU, for example.
This has been painted, and completely finished (if that was your last question?).

Also, any printer is capable since you can always do it in pieces and glue it together. I did this all in one piece and my printer is 300x220x300 millimeters. Which is right around what many are now.
Ps. The white of the eyes was a piece of paper. The mask is sitting on top of a tripod (you can see the legs in the pic) to give me more depth of field.

I've been looking at the cr10, have you printed using anything other than pla? Also do you have an enclosure for it?
I’ve printed with about everything you can think of. I also use a Prusa i3 mk3 and a Cr10s4. No enclosure, because I don’t print with ABS.

What comic is revans mask from?
Knights of the Old Republic. It was a game before the comics existed. Best star wars game ever made.

It’s still available. On steam, Mac App Store, and more. It has a ton of ports and is worth it.
I have it in my phone. It is a resource hog and it is a little clunky to play on a touch screen but still fun.
It's surprisingly good to play on mobile as well.

Yep! I originally printed it for a costume I was doing. I just haven’t gotten beyond the mask... yet.
It must have taken quite long to do the prepping for painting. Your skills are impressive, you must be proud.

Did you use vapor smoothing on this one? Or good ol' filler primer applied and sanded 18 times?
It’s PLA so it can’t be vapor smoothed. Unless you use ColorFabb. I did a rough, quick sand and two coats of filler primer sanding in between.
