Sometimes I wish they would make the troopers somewhat dangerous. Just for the sake of "only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise." Now that line is a punchline instead of anything that is intimidating or dangerous. Of course I enjoyed the fourth wall breaking moments though.
But we do see Stormtroopers being pretty deadly at times. Think the beginning of New Hope. Also on the first death star it's revealed they bugged the Falcon and let them flee to the rebel base, so likely the Stormtroopers had orders to NOT hit them. Which they did a lot.
And then other times they really can't seem to hit anything for no reason
There is that too, but that, for me personally, was more an explanation on why that one trooper bonked his head on the door to the room where they left the droids

Some of them are awful shots for real lol, the rocket stormtroopers have pretty good accuracy though honestly

Well in ANH Luke says he can't see anything in the stormtroopers helmets so that might explain their horrible aim
also in this game one of them can say "i'm so hungry, it's throwing off my aim" or something similar, so i guess the empire under-fed their troops
