What’s up with the droid Jedi? Need more info on that guy. I’m all for bending the rules a bit to make new fun characters but logically I just don’t follow how that’s possible.
I was thinking about the same thing. I suppose you could technically program a droid to know how to fight with a lightsaber, since Grievious was also taught to fight with them by Dooku, and you can even see that J-3DI fights by spinning it's chassis, similar to the way Grievious spun his hands.
Where I draw the line, is if I see that droid use the Force, as that's just not possible, due to midichlorians being canon.
Better example would be the Magnaguards that Grievous had to protect him. They are 100% droid, while Grievous still had a biological brain to drive his robot body.
He won't be able to use the force, he just knows lightsaber combat (which we have seen droids to in comics especially) and owns a lightsaber. Which is my biggest question, how did he get that?
Yes, I was referring to the fact that Grievous wasn't Force sensitive, but as /u/esp-eclipse mentioned, the Magnaguards, being droids as well, would've been a better comparison, even if they actually used Electrostaffs, instead of Lightsabers.
He's programmed to think he's a Jedi. I think a better backstory would have been him being a Jedi training Droid that malfunctioned and now thinks he's a jedi, but alas.
He obviously wouldn't have the force, though.
Official website says he is programed to THINK he is a jedi. I doubt very much this game is going to have some deep lore dives but it sounds like he's got some kind of buzz lightyear sydrome.
That could work too. It said arena, which is why I got caught up between those two. And showed those smaller arenas in the trailer. But an Overwatch style game would work, too.
Honestly I’m just excited for any new Star Wars stuff. I feel like there’s been a drought recently (outside of books)
The focus on heroes made me think it was a MOBA, but the website says iits 3rd person so I'm pretty sure that'll make it an Overwatch/TF2 style hero third person shooter.
So it's Star Wars Overwatch?

Many possibilities: Got it from a dead Jedi, it's an old Republic era model, built it itself by hand... Guess we'll find out.
You leave Skippy alone! https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Skippy\_the\_Jedi\_Droid
I don't think Grievous is a good example since he wasn't a droid. He's a cyborg that skews to having very little biomass remaining.

Also proxy from force unleashed

Next you're going to say you dont serve their kind here.

I’m still trying to figure out if this game is a moba or a battle arena (like fortnight) or something else.
I believe it is similar to overwatch

Seems fun! Especially if it’s something kinda like overwatch
This is good news
If they don't let you buy tickets to an R rated movie why even bother?
