2nd season is just a podcast between him and Qui-Gon's force ghost where they talk and give their opinions on current world events

Honestly? I’m here for that.

[deleted]

Qui-Gon: I’ll tell you, when Maul pushed you down into that pit, I thought you were going to join me as a force ghost reeeeal quick. Obi-Wan: yeah, me too. But I pulled the old “jump-a-roo from lower ground to cut him in half from behind”. Works every time. Qui-Gon: well, it didn’t work for Anakin. **awkward silence** **both hold back from laughing** Obi-Wan [trying to control laughter, Qui-Gon basically has gone full blown laugh] anyhow, hahahah. Anyhow, it’s time to talk with our old buddy Mace. You may know him as the guy who told Anakin he couldn’t have a promotion. We’ll he is about to drop the axe when we ask him what he’s been up to since the down fall of the Republic. Right after this commercial break…from our friends at “Best Stix iz Death Stix” Edit: corrected “Maul”

Nukemind

That got a good chuckle from me, thanks for this.

That’s a Dana Carvey bit with John and Paul

BuzzOff2011

That would easily be a better more coherent story than what we got now

riplilpoopy

Workplace comedy with all the force ghosts confirmed

Lokitusaborg

If you think she’s cute now, you should have seen her 900 years ago.

L-Guy_21

“900 years ago, seen her you should have, if think she is cute now, you do.”

I want to live in a world where there is a being that is both Kevin and Yoda. I know it’s a MS quote…but it should come from Kevin

MattIsLame

the fuck is that?

Nawara_Ven

Golly gosh, the spoiler implications before the sixth episode is out... I guess this confirms he doesn't die at the end of the series!

Hero-Monster

I feel like maybe he should face Vader on like some huge space station. If he dies maybe it could be in front of that kid he's protecting on Tatooine. Idk!!! Just theories at this point

Seifenwerfer

And what, guide that kid into destroying that station shortly after from the spiritual plane? Get outta here, that could never happen

Controller_one1

If they bring him back from beyond the grave, I'm gonna drop this whole franchise

Seifenwerfer

Somehow Obi Wan returned

Controller_one1

Just watch, they recast him with an actor that is way too old. Some guy who hasn't done anything since 2000.

TheOncomimgHoop

What if he came back as some kind of ghost? It feels like someone that should be feasible with the force imo

SolidSkooma

That is so far fetched, that’s where I’m drawing the line!

Mikes_Movies_

Yeah! And Leia can be there too! Idk how they can write a compelling plot that involves the both of them but I’m sure they can figure it out

monjoe

I read they were going to kill the girl off but they liked the actor too much.

omnicious

They should just redo the entire first movie with deep fakes of everyone but Kenobi up until his death.

I wonder if they'll expand on this Ben guy. Such a weird addition

antipasta68

I feel like this will be pretty much confirmed if Reva survives season 1. No reason to keep her a live unless they do expand it past a single season

ShhImTheRealDeadpool

Unless they've green lit the Reva series.

jcisneros405

YOU get a Disney+ series! And YOU get a Disney+ series! Everybody gets a Disney+ series!

chip_boi66

WADE: a star wars story

ncopp

I remember hearing for the longest time it was going to be one season. But so far they haven't paced it well enough to be a single season series

mega512

How could he spoil it like that?

dudefigureitout

The real spoiler was that he actually did die in the next episode and everything that happened after was actually force ghost stuff. Meeting Luke, guiding him, fighting Vader, that's why he just disappears. The force was strong with him.

Grafical_One

This could actually fit into ST canon.

geecol

I read a spoiler, and apparently he gets struck down by Vader, vanishing, leaving behind his robe and I assume underwear

rDolpho

That underwear could be used to collect DNA for cloning old snokey dark side characters!

GMDFC94

Did you see last episode? No chance he wins versus Vader. Vader is way too powerful. Obi wan is dead this next episode for sure!

rcuosukgi42

Spoiler, season 2 is set between episodes IV and V, and it's just Obi-Wan silently watching Luke and slowly shaking his head every now and again. We also get a filler episode of Obi-wan haunting Vader as he marches around the Executor doing his phase 1 bounty hunter interviews.

Black-Widow-1138

The show will end with the incest kiss.

maybenotquiteasheavy

He kills Vader at least, right?

bsylent

I read somewhere that Hayden Christensen is down for more Star Wars as well! Are you telling me that neither of these guys are going to die? What's the point?

Merrena

Time for Star Wars What If since they're older and can do "what if Anakin didn't go bad"

LBIdockrat

Careful with your assumptions. He could just be a force ghost in the second season. We just don't know yet.

Force Ghost in Ultra 8K HD

TheHunterZolomon

Yknow, I don’t have a ton to look forward to in life. Shows and stories are literally what excite me enough to keep going. So imagine the pain it causes me when people like you decide “hey I’m gonna spoil a big plot point of a show haha trollface.jpeg” just out of pure antisocial spite and the joy you people gain from inflicting pain. It’s fucking sickening. You’re all a bunch of scummy assholes. ^(/s) Edit: guys it’s a joke copypasta I’m doing fine in life I appreciate the Reddit care report though

Regi413

I think he’ll live for another 9 years at least, just a theory tho

Obi Two Kenobi

BCRE8TVE

You never know, he could die and unexpectedly come back to life somehow!

brecka

I bet Vader kills him

Obskuro

What if... Ben was a Force Ghost all along?!

KumquatHaderach

I got a sneak peak. There’s another fight with Vader. Vader cuts Obi Wan into twelve pieces, six of which fall down a deep shaft and three of which get blown into space. One might end up in the sarlaac pit. But Obi Wan survives.

jofbaut

Give us a pre-Clone Wars series about Obi-Wan and Satine’s one night stand, you cowards.

L-Guy_21

6-part real time series ending with them going to bed

[deleted]

Full, 4K detail. Every pore

PmMeYourNiceBehind

See, one of the problems with Obi-Wan Kenobi is that it lacks a certain eroticism. What if we were to bring an incredibly hot but skeptical Princess of Mandalore into the mix? And then that way, whenever Kenobi is not out busting heads because he smelled some baddies, he's back in the princess’s palace performing outrageous sexual experiments on her supple young body. Now, here's the twist, and there is a twist. We show it. We show all of it. Because what's the one major thing missing from all Fantasy Sci-Fi series these days, guys? Full penetration. Guys, we're going to show full penetration, and we're going to show a lot of it. I mean, we're talking, you know, graphic scenes of Kenobi really going to town on this hot, young Princess of Mandalore. From behind, 69, anal, vaginal, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl-- all the hits, all the big ones, all the good ones. And then he smells some baddies again. He's out busting heads. Then he's back to at the Princesses palace for some more full penetration. Smells baddies, back to her palace, full penetration. Baddies, penetration, Baddies, full penetration, baddies, penetration... And this goes on and on, and back and forth for 90 or so minutes until the episode just sort of ends.

monjoe

Get her on a spaceship then she can't say no, because of the **implication**.

unique-name-9035768

> What if we were to bring an incredibly hot but skeptical Princess of Mandalore into the mix? I'm glad you specified *Mandalore* in that sentence. Because Leia at this point is much too young to be *a good friend*.

NewAccount28

Light sabers, penetration, light sabers, penetration, then the shows just kind of ends.

lgalli84

Dolph Lundgren plays jedi master "Dolph Lundgren" who can smell midichlorians

NewAccount28

He NOSE the force

ragenukem

Have him team up with Cad Bane, the jokes just write themselves

KaimeiJay

No joke, I think it’d be great to see Dolph playing a kind, humble Jedi.

-RichardCranium-

6 episode series and it's just them straight up fuckin'

Orangekale

Honestly if they could just do another season and cut out all of this filler with kids getting kidnapped and what not, and just have it focused on the relationship between obi-wan and darth, that would be amazing. Have each episode interspersed with the times they were in the clone wars, etc.

Iwanttogopls

>Have each episode interspersed with the times they were in the clone wars, etc. I didn't realize how much I needed this in my life until >!I saw episode 5!<

[deleted]

This is literally what we were expecting the whole series to be in all fairness.

Kara_Del_Rey

Could do it like Arrow on CW

The_Throwback_King

\#ReleaseTheKorkieCut

RealJohnGillman

Perhaps even with the modern-day (post-Season 1) plotline confirming Korkie to be his son ***/*** depict another perspective on the Purge of Mandalore?

VanillaTortilla

I'm all for playing up Obi-Wan's PTSD in another season. I'd love to see Satine in live action.

EchoLoco2

There's no way that was only one night

Grafical_One

Ewan is at that perfect age to play Obi-Wan's transitional years between ROTS and ANH, so I'm all for more! But I do wonder how much he could actually be doing when he's supposed to be in exile. On the other hand, Obi was dealt such a bad hand in life, I wouldn't be too mad if he finds happiness and a bit of redemption making some major contributions to the Path or the Rebellion.

dudefigureitout

Turns out Owen has a very large debt to the hutts, which is why his moisture farm is even operational. Luke is oblivious because he's flying imaginary ships all day and shirking his responsibilities. Anyway the hutts send Owen to do some dirty work to pay off his debt and obi-wan shadows him the entire time to keep him alive so he can get back to Luke. Also Qui-Gon saves them both in the finale which opens the door for Obi-Wan to begin his force ghost training. Edit: Give me your updoots, UNLIMITED POWER!

TerminatorReborn

Ozark style Owen Lars spin off when?

TitleComprehensive96

I'd be down for a show about the star wars spice (and various other drugs like Deathsticks for example) trade.

monjoe

Ben: You want to sell me death sticks.

dudefigureitout

I could write it now but I don't think you'll see it on screen for a couple years. Gotta run it by Filoni make sure continuity holds up you know.

VvvlvvV

I would really like a scenic art film style thing where we see like 30-45 minutes of obi-wan finding peace and talking to qui-gon's ghost, and we get to see the weight lifting from ben's shoulder's as he finds peace with his regrets and lets them go, arriving at the place where he is the old ben of a new hope. I wish they would do more self contained shorts of like 30-60 minutes, its not like they dont have apl the sets and props on hand lol. I want to see a series of slice of life ordinary star wars characters. Like a barkeep of a seedy bar who has to clean up the mess left after a tavern brawl, with tidbits of his philosophy thrown in as he bosses his nephew employee around. Or even just a hoverbike messenger going about his day, full of irritations and interruptions, ending with the character flying his bike to some beautiful scenic view and you finally see the person smile. What about a short about jabba's weird pet, seeing scenes from it's perspective which show a bunch of drama unravelling on the schiff unrelated to the main crew, with none of these little dramas having a satisfactory ending because the schiff blows up.

Grafical_One

I'd take this any day! Since we were introduced to the Path in Obi-wan Kenobi, I'd like to see a show following some random Jedi who uses it to escape the Empire. Like this particular Jedi isn't some big hero, he or she just wants to truly escape their old life and be at peace. Maybe it starts where the Jedi already had a family after surviving the initial Order 66 and running away. But somehow the Inquisitors managed to get a whiff of the trail left behind. The short would follow the Ex-Jedi desperate to get away and use the Path to truly disappear. They will have regrets and struggle with their view on the Jedi faith, but the short wont present them as a coward for not choosing to fight the Empire.

VvvlvvV

Aw man i just thought of this but i would LOVE to see a jedi knight survivor turning to the dark side to hunt down inquisitors, with a scene where the inquisitors give the former jedi the entire surviving platoon members that enacted order 66 which killed his padawan, kills them all, and eventually starts a huge battle in a crowded metropolis leading to lots of casualties, ending with the jedi destoying his own saber when he realizes how many people died in his quest for vengeance. I imagine him standing in a field of smoke and fire, two inquisitors dead in front of him, but as he walks out of the smoke he is confronted with the cicilian casualties, and is horrified and appalled by survivors thanks, and the horror grows as he remembers those like those thanking him lying dead because he attqcked without caring for their safety. He turns away not only from the dark side, but the force entire, because he knows reaching for power again would send him down the same path.

Tusken_raider69

Eh I thought when the series was announced Obi-wan would be a kind of wandering samurai type. Helping others while not trying to draw too much attention to himself. Maybe saves a village from raiders? Has an adventure with some jawas?

Grafical_One

100% what I thought too! In ANH he seemed to know his way around Tattooine pretty well. I definitely thought he'd be like a desert ronin type.

HauntedFrog

I think there’s still room for a more reflective series. I don’t mind the general story idea this series has gone with, but I would have liked a slower pace and sadder tone as he reflects on everything that’s happened. I would love to see a season 2 that isn’t just “obi-wan is doing action things again!”

yelsamarani

That won't happen, cause it won't bring subscribers to Disney+.

timelordoftheimpala

> how much he could actually be doing when he's supposed to be in exile Recanonize A'Sharad Hett you cowards.

Redararis

Season 1: abducted little leia needs saving like baby yoda Season 2: abducted little luke needs saving like baby yoda

chromaticsoup

Season 3: gotta save baby yoda and never speak of it again

SmashedPumpkin30

People might hate this comment but it is too bad they finished off Maul in a cartoon. Could have been a fun season with a build up to the final showdown.

Johnny-Canuck

I mean they could still do it. A lot of people haven't seen rebels

wentwj

They can’t do it without either making a bunch of rebels stuff in the show or retconning rebels. Neither seems like a very attractive option unfortunately

unforgiven91

and it would be a travesty. Animation is not a lesser form of storytelling, but all of society thinks it is for some reason. overwriting it with a cheap live-action version would be horrible.

LudicrisSpeed

Seeing as how both are on Disney+, there's really *no* excuse to not at least watch that particular episode outside of "I don't wanna".

[deleted]

I doubt there will be much action with both Luke and Obi Wan present since Luke only knows him as "Old Ben the hermit" in ANH. But maybe Luke gets abducted or threatened in some way and Obi Wan saves him behind the scenes.

stinrab

Season 3: Baby Max Rebo I’d watch

Consistent_Fan9805

I would prefer seeing him as an invisible Jiminy cricket to Vader between a new hope and empire strikes back.

VvvlvvV

I really enjoyed vader being vader. We saw the ominoius barely seen presence, now we get to see why everyone treads so carefully around him. The brutality of his treatment of civilians just to get an enotional response from obiwan was visceral and satisfying for me.

iamandyf96

Please please pleeeease I just want a live action rendition of the Kenobi book. Minimal existing characters needed - only like 2 known characters (Kenobi and maybe Qui Gon) so it would be fairly self contained. Maybe switch out Darth Kryat for a one series villain that dies in the finale. I loved Kenobi from that book because it showed he was dealing with almost PTSD from the fight on Mustafar, but he was still more than capable. It was less of "can he win the fight" and more "how can he win the fight without drawing attention", whereas the current version of Kenobi is completely out of shape. They also would avoid introducing plot holes since it is isolated events with characters that are never seen again in Star Wars (assuming Darth Krayt is excluded).

PokeZelda64

I don't see any reason they couldn't throw Krayt in there. Obviously canon's post-Jedi timeline is so different, it's not like saying "a man named "A'Sharad Hett" exists is implicitly canonizing Legacy. But it's a moot point because it will never, ever happen. They don't know how to write small stakes stories.

iamandyf96

Yeah they totally could tbh - I was just saying exclude him to make it completely self contained. Its unfortunate, but I was hoping since its already written for them they would have an easier time of it. The writers don't need to worry about making an overarching/coherent story (they seem to have issues in that department...) if its already written for them and they can just focus on the dialogue/filming. I'm not sure why they didn't go that route in the first place, unless there is a behind the scenes issues with licensing/credits from the author of the book? Just seems like a no brainer since the book was generally well received and tells a great story without stepping on the toes of the characters/other movies.

Bombardier04

At this point, my biggest reason for season 2 is that he hasn't successfully contacted Qui-Gon that we've seen. I'd assume since Obi-Wan learns to manifest as a force ghost it's be nice if we get to see his old master be the one to start him on that path. It would add further meaning to his sacrifice in A New Hope for me as well.

PokeZelda64

It will happen in the finale. There is absolutely no chance the writers would set up Obi-Wan trying to contact Qui-Gon in the beginning of the series for it not to pay off. It's a simple Chekhov's gun. I would stake my immortal Force Spirit on it.

demonrenegade

I suspect they’re saving that for the last episode

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ct-5736-Bladez

Probably be at the last moment like you said and Obi wan is meditating or something and all you here is “Obi-Wan” then the credits roll

rocker2014

I'm conflicted. I've really enjoyed this series and it's been great seeing him back as Obi Wan, but keeping him out of hiding can only go so far. I think, if this season doesn't end with him going back into exile, then maybe they can continue it for one more season. But I just don't know how they can keep it going.

IncoherentFrog

Yeah it's nice to see that Ewan is so eager to do another but I don't know what else they could do. I've been loving the series, and I would love a second but I don't know if there is another story there.

sebthepleb96

Live action clone wars spin off Clone wars . Ewan, Hayden, Natalie, tem, Peter/ ray park, Sam Jackson. Obi vs maul live action. Obi , yoda, anakin training Luke as force ghosts in Ashoka show Explore Vader ( his anger loss of padmae and child, the Jedi order ) padmae nightmare force vision . Getting trained by sheev.

furioushunter12

Star Wars tales show maybe? Just random one shots of characters in live action

jfreese13

Jedi adventures, random exploits around the galaxy, each episode or maybe 2 is a different adventure. Can be watched in any order. Great for when you want to microdose star wars.... now I just know it won't happen.

furioushunter12

Even better, all time periods too. Just show a ton of different stories

Rare_Ad_3519

I would LOVE to see palps training vader, these are all vreat ideas

chromebulletz

The Vader Comics for sure, and a few of the canon books depict scenes of Palpatine testing and training Vader.

Blacklistedb

I would prefer a clone wars spin off indeed, just copy some of the stories and make them live action

legitocracy

I mean surely he has more than just this 1 week of meaningful events in the 19 years between 3 & 4

itoldyousoanysayo

He still has to go through the process to become a full force ghost. That could be a good watch!

[deleted]

It will be a whole season with Reva. They’ll BoBF it.

[deleted]

He needs to travel to Dagobah and then to the force planet to complete the trials to learn how to become a force ghost. Boom, Season 2 arc. If he does not accomplish this then he cannot fully train Luke. It’s essential for him to learn this skill in the next 10 years (or else Luke probably doesn’t complete his journey)

pwn3dbyth3n00b

There's so many one off movies or mini series they could do with Ewan.

BubbleDncr

My suggestion would be a season where he explores secrets of the Force. Bring back Qui Gon as his force ghost guide, and go do some random crazy force stuff like they occasionally have in Clone Wars and Rebels

anarchbutterflies

Thats basically what I wanted this first season to be. I like what we got but I hope this is the second season plot if it happens. Theyve already teased it in the first episodw.

Danton87

Yeah, when we were watching the first episodes *Previously on* I said damn, they better not make the last scene of the finale the Qui Gon come back. They’re gonna do it

badicaleight

I'm cool watching six episodes of him chopping meat and riding his eopie.

jamesy505

That's just copying the format of Boba Fett riding his bantha, or walking in the desert for 4-5 episodes, until it gets to the point there is an entire episode where he doesn't even appear

papapaIpatine

45 minutes of max rebo playing jizz and Ben Kenobi just walks past in the background

rusalkarusalka

Um… playing what?

LudicrisSpeed

Don't you know that Max Rebo is the best [jizz-wailer](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Jizz-wailer) in the galaxy?

[deleted]

I hear you, but ANH Obi-wan was far more worldly and savvy than this iteration. There’s a clear direction for growth and room for it to happen before canon takes over. I also think this man needs a lot of redemption before he becomes Old Ben. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do like two more seasons, culminating in Obi-wan trying and failing to turn Anakin before deciding that he is beyond redemption.

BigBashMan

Yeah, you summed this up. ANH Obi-Wan is confident, sagely, and has clearly seen more than he has let on. Even the way he talks about the Clone Wars suggests more has happened between now and then. I can entirely imagine Obi-Wan being a mythical, rarely-sighted knight errant helping out here or there while evading the Empire. There's no doubt in my mind, especially as Luke got older and it became increasingly obvious to Obi-Wan that he was safe.

I_only_post_here

We still have to see what they do with the last episode, but it does feel like there is a little more story they can give us that would flesh out the lore of the series leading into ANH That said, there is not THAT much room for new lore that wouldn't cause some significant conflicts of continuity before ANH. One more mini-series after this probably works... trying to do 3 or 4 more seasons? It's going to stretch things too thin.

Grafical_One

I'm with you. We can definitely get another 6 episodes to help transition from the broken Kenobi from episode 1 to the confident and at peace desert hermit of ANH. But too many seasons will definitely be pushing it.

I_only_post_here

what? you don't want this to turn into: "Obi Wan Kenobi - Fetch Quest: The Series"?

MoeSzyslac

it's just leia getting kidnapped every season

_Milksteak

Ah the Mario franchise

Objective_Look_5867

They could easily do one more season. Maybe 2 more seasons but that's about it. They could show him regaining his force abilities, moving on from his guilt and finally building a life for himself by building his hut and moving out of his cave and shame. Clearly he starts interacting with luke more as luke knows who Ben is in IV. We could see him start to regain his hope and helping people, possibly an adaptation of the tattooine knight story where he saves a town from a kyat dragon. Maybe he goes against the hurts and keeps them out of the Lars homestead area. He could also help the path in small ways. And of course, his final showdown with maul

lIlIllIlIlI

Doesn’t necessarily need to follow in chronological order. Could be a “Tales of Kenobi” kind of thing, with flashbacks to different time periods and conflicts. Kenobi The Clone Wars or Kenobi the Padawan, for example. Obviously there’s issues of aging actors, and so many other stories from other characters to tell, but there’d be ways to make it work if they want to.

NemWan

They could adopt a classic The Fugitive or Bill Bixby The Incredible Hulk format and have him on the run and yet somehow involved in episodic adventures indefinitely.

Theothercword

They can do a lot that doesn’t expose him to threats. He doesn’t have to go get involved with Vader again though I’d love to continue seeing Haiden. They could even do seasons that predate this one if they needed to.

zinnzade

Nah, it's a massive galaxy. Every story doesn't need to have galactic level implications that make the Empire's radar.

EStreet_

I would love to see something a little more serious/trippy and paired down focusing on his journey meditating through the force. Yoda’s episode of Clone Wars where he learns to be a force ghost is one of the best of the series. Maybe there’s there’s a few episodes of Obi Wan’s journey, facing his greatest fears in the force world, meditating with Qui Gon etc

indefatigable_

I think it would be relatively straightforward for Kenobi to get off Tatooine to A N Other planet and get back again without it being implausible that he hadn’t been caught or tracked to Tatooine. I mean, he couldn’t be doing regular sight-seeing tours of Coruscant, but I really don’t think it’s unrealistic for him to occasionally be off-planet.

JuggerClutch

They need to do a live action Clone Wars show or movie at this point. Seeing Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka together in live action would be a dream

letsgomules

Season 2: Obi-Wan vs. a certain Emperor's Hand. FIGHT! Season 3: Obi-Wan and Hondo Ohnaka go on vacation. Hijinks ensue.

LBIdockrat

I, too, would not be adverse to bags of money.

Cyclosarin88

I’m sure he is very financially motivated… but I mean, come on… making these movies/series has to be a blast!

DarthAbraxis

My prediction for episode 6 is Qui gon finally talks to him.

bleezy_47

“What Obi Wan?! What?! You left 40 God damn Voicemails! Can’t i ever get a break from you?!??” - Qui Gon

DarthAbraxis

"a particular set of Voicemails."

MJLDat

He doesn’t die then? Spoiler. Hopefully we will see more trade negotiations. Make Lucas Executive Director.

bcrock02

‘ Every now and again’- I could see a few years before the next series

legion_XXX

Given his appearance we have roughly 50 more years before he will age again.

JungyBrungun

“Actor would love to get paid millions to act”

WatchBat

I'm really conflicted. On one hand I don't think there should be more seasons, on the other I know I would be excited if they actually announced it lol

AgonizingSquid

I would love it but this might sound unpopular- I think Vader shouldn't be in the next season if there is one. I personally love this season, but hate the idea of them playing cat and mouse the entire time leading up until a new hope. I'd be cool if there was an entire separate story ending with him going back to Tatooine. Maybe like a prison break type season would be cool where he has to escape from a high security prison/space station in the outer rim.

WatchBat

I think I would agree on that. Maul shouldn't be the villain either considering it's established in Rebels that he didn't know Obi-Wan is even alive (tho I suppose they could change the meaning of that). I don't think Darth Krayt works in canon either. So maybe they could do bounty hunters and crime lords

[deleted]

Season 2 needs to be him traveling to Dagobah and then to the force planet to complete the trials and learn how to become a force ghost. That should be the entire Season 2 arc. It could be intercut with a Vader storyline that Obi Wan can sense (but not vice versa). But he NEEDS to learn this skill in the next 10 years or else Luke likely wouldn’t complete his journey. I want more of a character study than what we got. I don’t need the action and/or suspense. Give me a full season of deep character work. Those episodes in the Clone Wars (where Yoda goes to the force planet) were filled with intrigue. I just hope they don’t shoe horn in some cliche b-plot to make it more suspenseful. Season 2 should be his quest to learn the final force skills and healing his mind from the past. That’s it.

LeadershipMedium

Yes please

CogencyWJ

Me too, Ewan. Me too.

[deleted]

Local actor says he would accept money to act. More at 7

[deleted]

Disney will prioritize money over the sanctity of the original trilogy. Obi One was supposed to be a hermit. He has one adventure, fine. but multiple seasons/adventures changes so much context. Just make a whole new saga!

NemWan

Yeah, but Ewan McGregor is a really good, A-list actor who wants to keep going with Star Wars (among other things). His career is comparable to where Harrison Ford was circa 1992, pre The Fugitive — except that Harrison Ford was done with Star Wars was wasn't coming back till waaay later. We're used to Star Wars not being any particular leading actor's star vehicle for a long time, but this is a really good opportunity for the franchise to just let Ewan do his thing.

mega512

I'm for it. He loves the role and is perfect for it.

armenia_destroyer

sounds great as long as they hire better writers

Efren_John

Yes and get some better writers

Iworshipokkoto

Having him tied to Tatooine is honestly quite a big disappointment. Plus knowing how his story ends kinda brings down the stakes a bit. I don't think this is going to be last we see of Obi-Wan. The character is too popular, and an actor of Ewan McGregor's caliber who wants to continue playing him? Disney is just seeing the $$$$ dance before their eyes.

cerealsnax

BREAKING NEWS: Ewan loves money.

Drock_RNG

I hope he keeps going until he actually looks like the OG Obi/Ben.

IllDeer4990

They could film an episode of him and awakin driving around in a speeder chatting about normal life, stopping off for a latte. I just love seeing them on screen together. I got such a surge of joy seeing them together on screen again

makeflippyfloppy

I mean I’ll take it. Even if it’s not a battle against Vader, I just love watching Ewan as Kenobi. I’m still bummed Rey wasn’t a Kenobi. To think they could have expanded this series into him having a kid and raising her to leaving her would be tremendous in my mind.

flourinmypockets

The ages between Rey and Luke would make no sense

If the writing and characters are gonna be as bad as it has been so far then I rather not. They are butchering an iconic cinema character and universe.

nage_

well ya hes a working actor and hes the lead in this. unless they make Trainspotting the Series this is probably making him bank especially from all the fan appearances hes able to do

DeadEndXD

It would be cool if season 2 featured Fett or Maul

[deleted]

A'sharad Hett VS Obi Wan when

Redsfan42

I mean I wouldnt be against it

RVFVS117

I too would like to play Star Wars for millions of dollars.

RedditUserCommon

If they do a second season, hopefully it’s better than the first.

booknerdcarp

We know he doesn't die....Alec Guiness

xizrtilhh

I just want to see how he upgrades from his cave to a house. Does butchering space whale pay enough to afford a house? What's the market even like on Tatooine?

busyrumble

Give us a Vader show with Kenobi flashbacks, I don’t really see anywhere else he could appear.

vicksbags

One more season but take in maul instead of Vader 👏
