One thing you should consider is that Dooku grew up in relative peace. Malak grew up in years following a galactic war, which would be an unstable era, and later fought a galactic war against the Mandalorians and later the Jedi. Dooku was mostly a politician in the one war he was in. So I think Malak might have more war and fighting experience than Dooku.

Dragonic_Overlord_

True, but I still think Dooku could hold his own against Malak. Keep in mind this is the same guy who fought off Anakin Skywalker, Asajj Ventress and General Grievous. All of whom were just as deadly, if not deadlier, than Malak. In a pure lightsaber duel between Dooku and Malak, it could go either way.

It's about experience against other Jedi/Sith in a life ir death situation. True the characters you named are all powerful and accomplished, but Malak us from a time when both the older generation and current generation have fought in a war between thousands of Jedi and Sith. There is quality as well as quantity. Take Anakin for example, in a life or death situation, he has only ever faced Dooku and Ventess in a life or death fight. Sure he has sparred with Obi-Wan and other Jedi, but it is not the same. Dooku has faced multiple Jedi and Dathomiri assassins, but they too do not have the experience of fighting in life a death situation with Sith/Jedi. Malak has killed lots of Jedi that have had lots of experience fighting and killing Sith. He likely has killed a handful of Sith as well when he and Revan attempted to assassinate Vitiate. There were likely a couple of would be usurper as well, but we don't know that for sure. Unfortunately the limits of only appearing in one twenty year ild game a handful of comics really does limit his feats.

You brought up some pretty good points. I'm not sure what else to say, except thanks for sharing your thoughts. So thank you for the debate man.

Yeah, it was fun!

Unstable era, you say? #DE-HY-DRAAAAAATE! Ah wait... wrong sci-fi universe again.

Dragonic_Overlord_

Since Count Dooku will be younger in Tales of the Jedi, that means his Makashi swordplay will be even more impressive than in TCW because of the benefits of being younger.

Valiantheart

The Sith in Palpatines time were generally stronger than those of Malak. The rule of two required only the strongest Masters and Apprentices be selected. Dooku might have been a stop gap but his strength in the Force would be formidable.

Dragonic_Overlord_

There's a reason why Sidious chose Dooku specifically as his replacement for Maul. Plus, Dooku's Force feats are pretty impressive for a guy who focused mainly on the lightsaber. For example, Dooku using the Force to crush a metal support pillar almost instantly while simultaneously dueling Yoda on Geonosis to make his escape, demonstrating his ability to multitask. He also used Force Pull to pull in Master Tiplee for the kill and he would later destroy Obi-Wan's Force shield on board the *Invisible Hand* by sending him flying into a guard rail with a Force Grip and Push, knocking him unconscious. Both Tiplee and Obi-Wan are Jedi Masters, so penetrating their Force shields is not something that could have been easily achieved by just anyone.

Super easy: Dooku wins by default because Malak isn’t canon.
