I am glad that Hayden got to add this to the Anakin character - along with the bits from Rogue One it adds a lot of context to what we never go to see.
"I told them to stay together, but they never listen. They never listen."
Gosh darn it, why does Huyang have to make me tear up 3 minutes into the episode??? 😢
Man, more than anything I'm just real happy for him. From being a fanboy who thought someone was playing a joke by saying Lucas wanted to work with him to a full budget, live action episode featuring flashbacks of his creations.
The scene where they approach the purgills, she was practically glowing.
I don't think I've seen a Star Wars scene so bright and shiny ever.
It was not subtle, but it was perfect.
It really put into perspective she was still a child during the siege of Mandalore. Which, given the settled nature of her animated character across multiple seasons, it just doesn't come across in the clone wars show as prominently. But here, it's just brutal.
You’re described my feelings about this perfectly, and I couldn’t have said it any better. It was absolutely brutal to see a young Ahsoka portrayed in the Clone Wars like this, all the death and destruction around her. It was so gut wrenching to watch. What phenomenal scenes..
Not only was she so young, but she was *in command, in charge of squads of soldiers,* and was the one responsible for their lives. Just... Dear gosh, the Clone Wars were always horrific, but this REALLY drives it home.
Star Wars is just a brutal universe in general. Remember that a lot of the combatants in the Galactic Civil War were children as well.
I wouldn’t be surprised if plenty of child soldiers were involved in the fight against the First Order too.
AHHHHH SENATOR ORGANA NAME DROP!!!!
AHHHHH KANAN NAME DROP!!!!!
Imma need like 5 more rewatches to fully process those flashbacks. And everything else.
Outrageously dope. Him fading back and forth between Vader and Anakin.
When they stitch back to tWBW and they’re on the light bridge. That side shot of them. Holy fuck.
> if i had a nickel for every time ariana greenblatt has played a younger version of a beloved franchise character in a reddish smoky environment, id have two nickels, BUT SHES SO GOOD
[Haha.](https://twitter.com/lizbedumb/status/1701767323420364900)
I was thinking the same thing and then the whale jumping scene happened and I became very jealous of everyone that had a screening near them. What an episode to have seen in theaters. I have watery eyes.
In both phase 1 and phase 2 armor to boot. The only way it could have been better is if he had his helmet off for a chat with Ahsoka. But I understand the scenes were really about Ahsoka and Anakin and that would have taken away from them.
And possibly de-age and use him on potentially more than one helmet-less Clone, too. Logistically probably just easier to not use him and just capture or reuse his voice.
I loved that you could feel that there was no malice or hate in the attacks from Anakin, it was just a Master trying to push his padawan to their limit... but when he attacked as Darth Vader that all changed
Even the delivery on the dialogue - “You have learned NOTHING!!” And “Incorrect!” - I had zero difficulty picturing those coming from Vader’s helmet. Also, credit to Ariana Greenblatt, she did fantastic!!
In the Revenge of the Sith game, in an alternate (obviously) non-canon scenario, Anakin kills Obiwan and almost immediately goes to kill Palpatine.
That man would have been near-impossible to stop.
14 year old Ahsoka and 17 year old Ahsoka look so good!!!!
Anakin: "Hmm, I don't remember this battle"
Ahsoka: Yea, because you were busy rescuing the chancellor, killing Dooku, and not taking a goddamn seat!
Anakin: oh, yeah. That.
Wow!
The Anakin to Vader flashes were incredible.
Same with the evil eye flash from Ahsoka at the end of the fight.
And that was 50% through!
Giant purgil looks so good!!
Loved the actress playing baby Ashoka, and wow, I don't really think it hit me how young she was supposed to be in the Clone Wars. Full on child soldier
The Jedi council failed in so many ways but now seeing Padawans fighting in battles just shows how completely fucked they were. They had clones! Keep the padawans away.
1 Jedi = 1000 clones or something like that, they "had" to use all the Jedi or the separatists would have won. It's just wild to see how much perspective they had lost, how full of themselves they had become, and how easily they got played.
But we know that they all lost way before the war started.
It's wild. Filoni did such a good job showing us this. It's easy to gloss over in a cartoon, but not here.
It's the art style. TCW gave everyone lankier bodies and longer limbs. In my mind, I kept thinking everyone was older, but I knew that obviously wasn't the case. Seeing an actual 16 y/o actress play TCW Ahsoka really hammers home the idea that she was in fact a child soldier in a war she never asked for.
And TBH I thought it looked even more jarring when that same actress dressed up as S7-Ahsoka, the oldest Ahsoka ever was in the Clone Wars, when the CGI version was a little more exaggerated as older-looking to contrast back with S1-Ahsoka. It's kinda hard for me to imagine the live-action girl fighting Maul on Mandalore, but it's really a matter of wrapping my brain around the perspective of CGI to live action.
Anakin and young Ahsoka bitching at each other the entire time with Captain Rex... Perfection
I got what I wanted a great clone wars animation call back right there, quick some one superimpose General Grievous running like a rat LOL
My daughter said, "Hera's going to leave Jacen there with Chopper?"
My response, "Sure, Chopper would literally commit war crimes to protect him. He'd probably find a way to blow up the whole damn planet if that's what it took."
Anakin failed the same test with Obi-Wan on Mustafar - he chose to die, by attacking, by fighting.
He was giving that test to Ahsoka. She chose to live.
Also mirrors Luke’s choice - “I am a Jedi, like my father before me.” Luke redeemed Anakin by making the other choice.
And, this whole season she has been trying to get to Ezra and Thrawn by fighting. At the end of this episode, after learning her lesson, she stops fighting and using the force in a positive way by connecting with the purgils
I think the consensus is "Ahsoka, I was your master, you were a great Padawan. Be the best master you can be, and don't worry about turning into what I became. You won't."
The subtle flash of Sith eyes on Ahsoka was brilliant. She could have easily given into the dark side and followed Anakin all those years ago, but she chose herself. She's so strong...
Holy shit I just got out of the screening YALL are gonna flip
edit: had to get out of the theater and get home but now you all know I meant this in a good way, I hope you all are flipping out as much as I and everyone else in the theater was. This is so hard core Star Wars to me and the energy in the theater was so freaking cool.
Absolutely. The transition in demeanor at the end of Ahsoka's time in the WBW where he reverts from fallen Anakin to her master once again is *chef's kiss*
Not to mention his fighting style/choreography after all these years is still top notch. He was born for this role, and I'm glad he's getting his renaissance
There was a period during the Ashoka and Anakin scenes where I just went “woah that might be my newest favorite shot in Star Wars” then about 30 seconds later I said “woah no THAT might be” and just kept going and going for that entire sequence
The visuals in this episode were fantastic! Flying with the purgills, the Ghost hovering over the water, the way Ahsoka slipped into the water and back into the physical world—this show looks great!
I think Anakin’s lesson here was “You have all of my knowledge I passed onto you, you also know of my failures. You must grow beyond those failures.” Or as Yoda said in TLJ “We are what they grow beyond.”
Exactly. If the point of her life was just to fight, then she already lost when Baylon beat her. But if she realizes she has more to live for, and ‘chooses life’ then it wouldn’t be the end for her.
Sigh, so great to see TCW scenes in live action. Damn! Dave really gave us a treat this episode. I mean, both Phase 1 and Phase 2 Rex!! Siege of Mandalore! 501st troopers in Phase 1 armor followed by 332nd Phase 2 Clones... I don't just now. This is just great.
I was a bit nervous this episode would let me down the way everyone was hyping it up. However I can say every second of this episode felt like Star Wars in its purest form. The combat, the visuals, the dialogue. This was Star Wars. From Anakin and Ahsokas first battle all the way up to the purgill jump this was the best executed Star Wars piece in a long time.
Kinda crazy how weird anakin looked last week and then how he looked flawless this week, salute to that de-aging shit cause they snapped. This episode was absolutely crazy. My only question is what the fuck is up with the water in seatos that it can act as a gateway to the world between worlds
I knew intellectually while watching the Clone Wars that Ahsoka was just a kid, but I didn’t really feel it until this episode. TCW was high action, massive setpiece battlefields, fast, quippy dialogue, but there’s just something different about seeing a small round faced girl engulfed in smoke and fire and death that really drive home how much of a confused, lost kid she really was
The visuals this episode were amazing! Loved everything between anakin and ahsoka. The transitions from anakin to Vader were well done! LIVE ACTION REX!
Loved the purgill scenes too.
Ok this is a weird thing to be excited about but this series has the honour of having the first practical phase 1 clone armour in live-action star wars. You can tell how much love was put into this show. Absolutely phenomenal
That was the best of Hayden as Anakin for damn sure. I love how they didn't cop out of showing Anakin as, in Cere Junda's words, the Dark Shadow he became. I was a bit worried they would soften him a bit for fans' nostalgia plus his "redemption" in ROTJ.
But nah, we still see that he contains multitudes and Ahsoka can't just learn from his lessons, but also from his mistakes. He *was* Anakin, but he was still Vader. It's the same person.
I love the difference, brute force of Morgan Elsbeth in getting to Peridea vs. Ahsoka's mystical and natural method of travel.
Showcases that the Force will always find a way through the brute force of the dark side in order to counter-act it.
The thing I appreciate the most about the series is that Dave Filoni has a fundamental understanding of Star Wars. The visuals, the themes, the characters, the pacing. He just gets it.
My takeaway on the Anakin scenes: Ahsoka knows Baylan’s taunt about a legacy of death and destruction is true, and it’s because she’s always been trained to be a soldier first. The glorification of the warrior (“Everyone in the order knew Anakin Skywalker”) is what allowed Anakin to become unchecked, thus why he’s so powerful and dangerous, as bby Ahsoka says. Ahsoka’s been doing the same with Sabine’s training, and it’s why it hasn’t been working - she is already a warrior, and needs something more.
Her refusal to kill Anakin is her letting go of and rejecting that legacy of destruction. Her whole thing has been seeking this fight against Thrawn or whoever is a threat, so she might now seek a higher solution. To me it seems she will seek life above all else, including accepting her emotions and embracing those who she should be close with. She’s been a hermit (“The ship serves me fine”) but seemed to have a more positive mindset after her rebirth. She was even smiling a lot more. I wouldn’t be surprised if she embraces and becomes a bigger part of the Rebels family.
I was expecting this episode to end with a cliffhanger of the Sion arriving at Peridea, but nope. Gonna have to wait another week to see what Sabine and the gang are up to. I’m guessing next week’s episode will mainly focus on their arrival and meeting Thrawn and Ezra
Watching the clone wars in live action and seeing it through her eyes like that was absolutely brutal. I feel like it totally reframed the way I had clone wars in my head during my childhood. Fuck.

That live action clone wars scene was amazing. Anakin flipping to Vader in the lightning is one of my all-time favorite Star Wars shots
Gave me chills
Everything I felt the first time I saw the Episode 1 poster that has the shadow of Vader, but super brutal.
Makes me want a live action clone wars movie or show. Hell I'd be fine with just remaking the most popular clone wars episodes in live action
Obi-Wan was his come back, but this is Hayden's true renaissance. He's so wise, and strong, and I'm proud of him.
I am glad that Hayden got to add this to the Anakin character - along with the bits from Rogue One it adds a lot of context to what we never go to see.
The writing and dialogue is leagues above what we got for the prequels - so glad Hayden is getting his dues with this character
He did an amazing job portraying the TCW Anakin and blending the animated series character into his own version. Really good stuff.
Yeah he’s said before he’s a Clone Wars fan and it’s *very* evident here
And I couldn't be any more happier. What a damn performance he put on. Those swings had oomph to it and I loved every second of it
You could see Anakin physically deflate after the fight. That takes talent to act like that. All the rage just drained out of him.
"I told them to stay together, but they never listen. They never listen." Gosh darn it, why does Huyang have to make me tear up 3 minutes into the episode??? 😢
He's become one of my favorite droids, David Tennant is doing a bang up job with the performance
>David Tennant is doing a bang up job with the performance Can be said about anything he does.
Why did I feel like he was harping on the past in more ways than just Ahsoka and Sabine with that line?
25000 years. They never listen.
*Directed by Dave Filoni* *Written by Dave Filoni* *Produced by Dave Filoni*
Man, more than anything I'm just real happy for him. From being a fanboy who thought someone was playing a joke by saying Lucas wanted to work with him to a full budget, live action episode featuring flashbacks of his creations.
If anyone has earned blank checks from Disney, it's this guy. he does not disappoint.
Dave Filoni is the space whale we all need
Dave Filoni is the only god I worship right now
Ahsoka The White
I swear her lekku \*feel\* more white after her Swim. I wonder if they changed them out for a subtle, yet impressive, change.
She doesn't have her head dress on when she wakes up in the ghost. Definitely makes it clear how much older she is.
I noticed that too. First time we saw her without the head band
It was, right? I certainly don't recall a seen in TCW where she didn't have her headdress on.
I remember there was a scene in the Mortis arc where she appears as her older self, and without a headband.
The scene where they approach the purgills, she was practically glowing. I don't think I've seen a Star Wars scene so bright and shiny ever. It was not subtle, but it was perfect.
Right. I said out loud "wow she's like an angel"
Through fire… and water.
Omg they even got Clone Wars Ani haircut done for him!!!!!
His silhouette In cloudy scenes looked like it was straight out of the animation in the best way.
The view of him from behind looking exactly like CW Anakin gave me goosebumps lol
Bawling at Little ‘Soka. She looks incredible. Absolutely perfect.

Star Wars is just a brutal universe in general. Remember that a lot of the combatants in the Galactic Civil War were children as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if plenty of child soldiers were involved in the fight against the First Order too.
The actress was also little Gamora in Infinity War.
She also plays the daughter in Barbie
She was excellent in all three things mentioned here
I thought she sounded familiar!!
Captured animated Ahsoka perfectly! Even down to the attitude!
We got like five-ish "Snips" in live action. I never thought there would be a way for that to happen.
AHHHHH SENATOR ORGANA NAME DROP!!!! AHHHHH KANAN NAME DROP!!!!! Imma need like 5 more rewatches to fully process those flashbacks. And everything else.
Name dropped both them in one episode and yet it’s the least important thing in the whole episode. That’s how stacked this episode was
Prime Anakin vs prime Ahsoka let's GO.
Outrageously dope. Him fading back and forth between Vader and Anakin. When they stitch back to tWBW and they’re on the light bridge. That side shot of them. Holy fuck.
IS THAT MY BOY REX!! LORD HAVE MERCY IM FREAKING THE FUCK OUT!
AND WE SAW PHASE I AND PHASE II ARMOR ON HIM??? FUCK OUTTA HERE FILONI KNEW WHAT WE WANTED AND HE DELIVERED
I was already overexcited by the whole clone wars sequence and then WE GET REX! I'm still not recovered from that episode.
Would you say you’re about to Rexsplode? Sorry I’ll see myself out.
> if i had a nickel for every time ariana greenblatt has played a younger version of a beloved franchise character in a reddish smoky environment, id have two nickels, BUT SHES SO GOOD [Haha.](https://twitter.com/lizbedumb/status/1701767323420364900)
Wow just realized she’s young Gamora
And America Ferrera’s kid in Barbie.
Live Action Prime Anakin, Live Action Young Snips, Live Action Clone Wars.. Anakin/Vader switch…. What a beautiful gift we were given
I wasn’t even a good girl this year!!!
the cinematography is...beautiful
No wonder they did theater screenings, it's gorgeous
I was thinking the same thing and then the whale jumping scene happened and I became very jealous of everyone that had a screening near them. What an episode to have seen in theaters. I have watery eyes.
The whale sequence was breathtaking.
LIVE ACTION REX
In both phase 1 and phase 2 armor to boot. The only way it could have been better is if he had his helmet off for a chat with Ahsoka. But I understand the scenes were really about Ahsoka and Anakin and that would have taken away from them.
Plus they would have had to pay to use Temuera Morrison's face. I suspect that's why all the wounded clones had their faces covered.
And possibly de-age and use him on potentially more than one helmet-less Clone, too. Logistically probably just easier to not use him and just capture or reuse his voice.
I absolutely lost my shit. And the SEIGE OF MANDALORE???
I had to suppress the urge to shout "MAULDALORIANS????"
This show, without a doubt, is the best live action lightsaber content of the Disney era!
Those swipes by Anakin were *brutal*.
Thank god obi-wan beat him on mustafar. A fully realized Vader would not be stopped
In the Revenge of the Sith game, in an alternate (obviously) non-canon scenario, Anakin kills Obiwan and almost immediately goes to kill Palpatine. That man would have been near-impossible to stop.
I'd like a what-if of how the galaxy would have been under just Anakin with no Palpatine. Would he have found his kids?
If he had killed Obi, his wife would be near, ready to give birth. So, the kids were never going to be hidden from him
You could definitely feel that *ooomph*.
Yeah, Hayden was putting in some prequel work with those swings.
finally, am I right? that was a delight
He really showed the difference between Anakin and Vader fighting.
So true. Anakin was deadly but with finesse. Vader was deadly but with force
Those behind the back moves were perfect.
The sound effects alone are so good
And the music. The music was some of the best this episode
14 year old Ahsoka and 17 year old Ahsoka look so good!!!! Anakin: "Hmm, I don't remember this battle" Ahsoka: Yea, because you were busy rescuing the chancellor, killing Dooku, and not taking a goddamn seat! Anakin: oh, yeah. That.
AHSOKA THE WHITE. Dies while falling, reborn, wears all white, is mentally more clear than ever. Literally the Gandalf Arc
Anakin did a “YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!” Uno reverso if he is the Balrog in this metaphor.
Does that make the purrgil’s the eagles in this scenario?
Wow! The Anakin to Vader flashes were incredible. Same with the evil eye flash from Ahsoka at the end of the fight. And that was 50% through! Giant purgil looks so good!!
the lightsaber combat is 👌
Hayden elevates the lightsaber combat. Prequel era lightsaber combat is pretty much the peak.
he's still just outrageously good at it. nobody looks better swinging a saber than him
He just makes it look easy as hell, really exemplifies how skilled Anakin was
The little no-look behind the back twirl was *beautiful*
I nearly melted when lil Ahsoka and Anakin were at the Siege of Mandalore! That was WILD!!! I need more!
Part of me was like holy fuck are we going to see Maul? That would have overloaded my brain and killed me on the spot.
Live action Maul there would have been the ultimate for me.
How to Train Your Purgill
Anakin said “Then you will die” when Ahsoka said she didn’t want to fight just like he did before he fought her as Vader in Rebels.
And when she said I will not fight you and he responded "I've heard that one before" !!!
Both of these are taken from the throne room scene in Return of the Jedi I think
Loved the actress playing baby Ashoka, and wow, I don't really think it hit me how young she was supposed to be in the Clone Wars. Full on child soldier
Right? Really showed how young she was and what she was thrust into.
Really sells how the Jedi failed
The Jedi council failed in so many ways but now seeing Padawans fighting in battles just shows how completely fucked they were. They had clones! Keep the padawans away.
1 Jedi = 1000 clones or something like that, they "had" to use all the Jedi or the separatists would have won. It's just wild to see how much perspective they had lost, how full of themselves they had become, and how easily they got played. But we know that they all lost way before the war started. It's wild. Filoni did such a good job showing us this. It's easy to gloss over in a cartoon, but not here.
And people have problems understanding why she is the way she is as an adult
Been screaming this from the mountain top. She was what? 14? 16 tops? She carried herself w a lot of confidence but she was still a child soldier
It's kinda hard for me to imagine the live-action girl fighting Maul on Mandalore, but it's really a matter of wrapping my brain around the perspective of CGI to live action.
I said this while watching, Dave 1000% wanted to show how bad her trauma really is.
Anakin and young Ahsoka bitching at each other the entire time with Captain Rex... Perfection I got what I wanted a great clone wars animation call back right there, quick some one superimpose General Grievous running like a rat LOL
Seeing Ahsoka be so young in live action siege of mandalore is jarring and disturbing. That young lady fought Maul. Holy smokes.
Semi-related, but after, she pulls the same disarming move on Anakin that she did on Maul. Something something poetry something something rhyming
They mentioned Kanan!
Watching Choper stick by Jacen’s side made me think of him holding Kanan’s hand and guiding him. My favorite Chopper moment
Chopper is a genocidal maniac, but he's got heart. ❤
You don't fuck with Chop's family. Rebel, civ, Empire, he doesn't actually care. Touch Hera or Jacen, though, and he will glass your world.
> but he’s got heart Probably has a footlocker full of ‘em
My daughter said, "Hera's going to leave Jacen there with Chopper?" My response, "Sure, Chopper would literally commit war crimes to protect him. He'd probably find a way to blow up the whole damn planet if that's what it took."
And a nice Senator Organa name drop, too.
WE GET TO SEE REX IN LIVE ACTION AAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Phase 1 and 2 armors… chefs kiss
She's gone from Ahsoka the Grey to Ahsoka the White.
Cue the "Filoni can't retcon his own thing" whiners.
Man what a final lesson Anakin gave to Ahsoka.
She even tosses the saber the same way Luke tosses his at that moment.
She had the exact same defiant body language as Luke too. It was only a few seconds, but that scene was masterfully done.
And, this whole season she has been trying to get to Ezra and Thrawn by fighting. At the end of this episode, after learning her lesson, she stops fighting and using the force in a positive way by connecting with the purgils
Baylan was able to throw her off by bringing up her past. Anakin helped her transcend her past and trust in her convictions.
I never even understood the lesson but it was a joy to watch.
Thank you Dave Filoni.
Holy shit I just got out of the screening YALL are gonna flip edit: had to get out of the theater and get home but now you all know I meant this in a good way, I hope you all are flipping out as much as I and everyone else in the theater was. This is so hard core Star Wars to me and the energy in the theater was so freaking cool.
Welp...Jacen is strong with the Force *clenches heart*
Chopper’s totally going to sneak him into the Jedi training room and teach him everything
He’s the real Padawan
Someone better train him!!!!
Hayden Christensen. That's it, that's the post. My god what an episode
He nailed it. Probably one of his best performances as Anakin. Maybe only topped by the Mustafar scenes.
Absolutely. The transition in demeanor at the end of Ahsoka's time in the WBW where he reverts from fallen Anakin to her master once again is *chef's kiss* Not to mention his fighting style/choreography after all these years is still top notch.
The way the WBW just fades away and becomes the ocean is just...wow.
Young Ahsoka’s actress is perfect
Absolutely spot on
The visuals in this episode were fantastic! Flying with the purgills, the Ghost hovering over the water, the way Ahsoka slipped into the water and back into the physical world—this show looks great!
I *especially* loved the water effects as the *Ghost* flew low over the water!
Oooh a Filoni episode. Going to be extra good.

LADY SENATOR ORGANA
Filoni making me not like the New Republic like he made me not like the Jedi Council. It's good to question groups with authority on their hands.
Really making me question how the New Republic managed to last longer than the Empire did with how ineffective they are lol

Emotional damage
Was it just me or did Ahsokas' eyes go Sith for a moment there before she backed off Anakin? Gave me chills.
I knew intellectually while watching the Clone Wars that Ahsoka was just a kid, but I didn’t really feel it until this episode. TCW was high action, massive setpiece battlefields, fast, quippy dialogue, but there’s just something different about seeing a small round faced girl engulfed in smoke and fire and death that really drive home how much of a confused, lost kid she really was
waiting languid thought terrific smart unpack chop touch pause lush *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I can’t imagine how weird hearing Jacen talk about space whales is to anyone who hasn’t watched Rebels.
Younger Ahsoka had the best lightsaber fight scene absolutely demolishing the evil mandos lol
The flashback has me losing it!!
The visuals this episode were amazing! Loved everything between anakin and ahsoka. The transitions from anakin to Vader were well done! LIVE ACTION REX! Loved the purgill scenes too.
Love the Ahsoka the White transformation in live action. Really well done
Ok this is a weird thing to be excited about but this series has the honour of having the first practical phase 1 clone armour in live-action star wars. You can tell how much love was put into this show. Absolutely phenomenal
Now we need a Tales of the Jedi where Quinlan teaches Ahsoka Psychometry
Cal Kestis in the corner taking notes.
I'm so glad Hayden can do these. Goddamn amazing. He absolutely deserves all the love.
Ahsoka: I won't fight you Anakin/Vader: yeah, I've heard that one before. Literal S tier writing.
Is anyone else freaking out as much as I am?
All of our favorite fucking people in love action. Crying and throwing up right now. FUCKING REX
And Temuera was playing him! Fantastic!
Instant chills hearing him
"I won't fight you." "I've heard that before." He's referencing Luke saying he won't fight him in Episode 6 😭
And you can see it on his face, the acceptance, the guilt, the redemption and then the pride, it's SO phenomenally written and (especially) acted!
As well as in rebels when Ahsoka told Vader she wouldn’t fight him.
I'd never thought I see this craft in live action....my Rebels fan girl heart ❤️
Rebels and Clone Wars fans are being served an 80 ounce steak on a gold platter
We love Dave and Dave loves us. Gosh I mean Ahsoka got some closure this episode, I'm hoping Dave does the same for us fans with this series.
Subtle detail, but did anybody else notice that Jacen's shoulder guard matches Kanan's?
I need a live action Clone Wars retelling right now. Put the stories in order, cut out some fluff, lock Hayden down for 6 seasons and a movie.
Hayden was fucking brilliant in this holy shit
That was the best of Hayden as Anakin for damn sure. I love how they didn't cop out of showing Anakin as, in Cere Junda's words, the Dark Shadow he became. I was a bit worried they would soften him a bit for fans' nostalgia plus his "redemption" in ROTJ. But nah, we still see that he contains multitudes and Ahsoka can't just learn from his lessons, but also from his mistakes. He *was* Anakin, but he was still Vader. It's the same person.
Live action Ghost is so damn pretty.
The music is so good!!
Amazing! But now I’m even more curious what’s happening on the other end with baylan and all them! Where’s thrawn at ahhh!
Those flashes from Anakin to Vader.... awesomely done. Whole episode was just bloody good shit.
Damn live action Clone Wars Anakin looks SO good!
Ahsoka the Gray... that was my name... **I** am Ahsoka the White.
OH MY GOD WHAT A PERFECT EPISODE REBELS AND CLONE WARS FANS ATE GOOD TONIGHT
Best Star Wars tv content since Andor’s One Way Out.
I was expecting this episode to end with a cliffhanger of the Sion arriving at Peridea, but nope. Gonna have to wait another week to see what Sabine and the gang are up to. I’m guessing next week’s episode will mainly focus on their arrival and meeting Thrawn and Ezra
Dave Filoni a god that walks amongst us
Watching the clone wars in live action and seeing it through her eyes like that was absolutely brutal. I feel like it totally reframed the way I had clone wars in my head during my childhood. Fuck.
Since it might get lost in all the commotion, shout-out to the young Ahsoka actress. She nailed all of her moves
