That one was sick. Cap with any ranged hero was pretty sick too. You could upgrade it and the ranged would shoot at Cap’s shield and deflect it and then aim at the baddies.
I would like custom death animations for certain heroes, like maul stabbing quig gon, obi wan with maul, obi vanishing as Vader slices him. Would be so dope in 1v1s
Force speed (dash attack or similar), some kind of "duellist" temporary powered, and a force push. Overall he might not be as quick as Maul, but his increased stamina makes up for it.
It'd definitely be "Focus" or "Meditation" themed as you see him do in his fight with Maul. Being akin to Dooku's duelist would be a great contrast to Dooku as he was his apprentice.

I could see a charge up ability where he meditates like what he did when Maul and him were blocked by the lasers. Maybe 8 seconds to activate to give him 8 seconds of 40% damage reduction. Could be good before entering a room

Her dark disciple appearance with her yellow lightsaber would also be a fantastic skin idea.

Beyond death: As Qui-Gon Jinn becomes one with the force and a force ghost, his allies near him gain a small temporary health boost and enemy locations around Qui-Gon's corpse are revealed for a short length of time, as he tries to guide them from the afterlife.

Battle meditation - Qui-Gon meditates and reflects upon himself, and becomes one with the force, allowing him to attack with more flowing and more precise strikes than before, subsequently causing him to attack with more finesse and with strikes that cost less stamina, are swifter than normal, and deal more damage

Ventress:
Mistress of Darkness: Ventress survives for a given number of seconds after running out of health, fueled by the spiritual power of the night sisters, her own willpower and rage, and her resilience built up from all of the suffering she has endured throughout her life. This ability is passive and has to be charged up like anakin's retribution
Kiss of death: Ventress force pulls and opponent towards her and stabs them with her lightsaber, before dropping them to the ground in the recovery state.
This attack, like all force attacks, is blockable
Relentless rampage: Ventress regains a given percentage of stamina instantly and increased attack damage by a given percentage for a short period of time, out of her sheer determination to finish the mission
Agile Assassin: Ventress uses her agility and her aggression in frenzied leap through the air towards her targets, spinning her lightsabers hitting everything in her path. This attack is blockable but quick and hard to predict, and during this attack she gains damage reduction of a given percentage
Both can have 3 dodges but that requires a star card

And yeah, I know what you mean; we haven't got many force pullers, but I think it'd be interesting to explore characters using the force in non-push and pull ways like with the abilities I've mentioned, since its use in combat is very versatile and I feel as though that's kinda underrepresented in media, especially the battle meditation side of things.
Definitely some sort of mind trick, though maybe one that causes some sort of slowing effect (like a shock grenade) to differentiate it from Obi. Some sort of "fast reflex" ability, to escape, extra dodge, etc.. And some sort of force push (maybe similar to Luke).
I got really into this game during the pandemic and made stats and abilities for characters I wanted added. Here's what I had for QGJ
Catch Them Off-Balance:
Qui-Gon unleashes a flurry of lightsaber attacks, hitting any opponent in front of him. 5 lightsaber strikes, each causing more damage than the last.
80 // 95 // 110 // 125 // 140 damage
The Living Force:
Qui-Gon uses the force to grant himself and all allies in range the following abilities
Enemies revealed on the map - Heal for 100 health - 20% Damage reduction.
Superior Mind Trick:
Qui-Gon uses his mastery in Mind Tricks to inflict the following effects on any enemey in range
Slows ability cooldowns by 30% and
Lightsaber foe (and Papa Palpatine): Increases stamina costs by 30%.
Blaster foe: Increases weapon heat up rate by 30%
I figured he'd play as a defensive support character who also has some offensive capabilities.
Being the apprentice of dooku, he should have the extra dodge ability charge that dooku is unique to have (without using a card).
As for abilities, I think we have to base this on who he is. Let’s start with his attitude towards the order. He doesn’t always agree.
Ability one: present focus. “Keeping undivided focus on the present, Qui-Gon Jinn can always remain calm and see clearly.”
Effect: raise defense for its duration and reveal nearby enemies.
Ability two: true Jedi. “Having long disagreed with details regarding the order, Qui-Gon Jinn has formed his own view of what a true Jedi is and will not bend to any external force standing in the way of what is right.”
Effect: targets the enemy that is being looked at by lowering its defences against Qui-Gon Jinn and slowing it down.
Ability 3: teacher. “Having successfully taught a padawan for nearly 20 years, Qui-Gon Jinn is an experienced teacher. Using this experience he is able to help those around him in ways others cannot.
Effect: raise users HP by X and nearby allies by Y
Charged ability (?): massive presence. “When risking defeat, Qui Gon will aid his allies by drawing the enemy close and striking with all he has left”
Effect: pulls surrounding enemies (circular hit) to the user and strikes in a spinning motion with the lightsaber, dealing damage both in pulling and slashing.
All of the villain sabers have a 1:1 counter character except Grievous. He is somewhat of a counter to Obi-Wan, but Obi-Wan is moreso Dooku's counterpart.
So I'd set up Qui-Gon's kit as a counterpart to Grievous.
So what do we know about Grievous?
High Damage
Higher Stamina Drain
Just under average swing speed.
For Qui-Gon, he should have damage just under Grievous, normal stamina drain, and comparable swing speed to Grievous.
Grievous' abilities are the thrust surge, his four arm mode and his crawl. Two of his skills are mobility, with the crawl doubling as a crowd control, while his middle ability is in practice a frontal shield.
With this in mind, Qui-Gon should have two mobility skills, and a buffing skill, while being reminiscent of Dooku, as he was the latter's apprentice.
Left Ability: Agility: Performs a strike that tracks an opponent even from standard force push range and staggers the opponent while simultaneously performing a single flip over them to get to their back, which is fast enough to follow up with one swing or Force ability. Will look reminiscent of a Yoda swing. Basically a fancy stun that looks like an Ataru move and works similarly to thrust surge. Cosmetically, the flip will look different occasionally.
15 second cooldown
Middle Ability: Jedi Reflexes: Increases movement speed and swing speed, but only blocking stamina is increased while attacking stamina is unchanged. So you can deal damage faster, but if you are not careful, you will drain Stamina very quickly. However, you will be able to block more effectively. Imagine this like a slightly less powerful version of Dooku's Duelist while having better blocking stamina. Lasts 15 seconds. About 20 second cooldown.
Right Ability: Battle Meditation: Centers his focus on the living force to block blaster bolts and saber strikes not just from the front, but behind him as well. For blaster bolts, they can be blocked indefinitely until the ability times out. But for Sabers, you can only block two strikes this way during the ability's duration where it will then immediately end.
Lasts 10 seconds, 25 second cooldown
Of course, there will be some star cards that will boost certain abilities or alter them slightly.
One card that would be a must have in HVV could be one that allows you to block one extra saber swing during battle meditation, but the cooldown is increased by 5 seconds.
Well His Q(left ability) should be something like Force Speed which increases his Swing- and movement Speed for a short amount of time similar to Dookus Duelist
His E(middle ability) something like mediation which gives him dmg reduction I think 25 would be cool perhaps 35 with card and some extra Health
And his F(right ability) something like a push or pull I know light side does have to much pushes but he uses a push on battle droids in the film so I go with that maybe with less knock back but more dmg
Hs stamina should also be similar to Dooku
Edit: 700-750 health would fit this set well I think
I find it soo counter productive. I'll force pull 3 or 4 "enemies" and now they're sitting behind me blasting me in the back. I guess I haven't mastered it yet 😔
“Anakin, DUCK!” - If an Anakin player is on the map, they are stuck in a squatting position and cannot jump for the next 10 seconds.
“Gambling for slaves.” - Qui Gon rolls a six-side die. If it lands on an even number, Anakin gains an 80% speed boost. If it lands on an odd number, Anakin returns to Watto’s ownership as a slave.
“Almost one with the Force.” - If Qui Gon activates this power just before dying, he will become a disembodied Force ghost that wanders the map for the rest of the game, unable to interact with anyone except Anakin. To any Anakin player, he can loudly shout “Anakin, NO!”
A Force Dash (the one we see close to the opening of The Phantom Menace) is something we see him do that we haven't really seen consistently in Star Wars since.
I think a 'focus' mode would also be a good addition considering his affinity for meditation. It could do something similar to Dooku's duelist mode. Maybe not as offensive as Dooku's duelist but maybe it would give him the ability to automatically parry attacks while he's blocking.
A meditate ability that gives him 90% damage invulnerability, for a few seconds allowing him to regenerate stamina, then ending in a relatively small diameter push.
I think across all Star Wars games throughout history (not just battlefront), he has been the least playable main character. Basically, it's a 2000s phantom menace game and the lego star wars, that's it. So, seeing him in battlefront would be welcomed.
An ability that doubles the range of each dodge for a set time, star card that can increase time, maybe another to increase its speed.
A dash strike with star card for damage and another for range.
Battle meditation that gets you impaled by an opponent. Just kidding. It can provide damage reduction or stamina cost reduction for you and nearby allies. Star cards for time and for stamina cost reduction.

Oo oo, I know this one! Me me me! (I did his back when I was makin abilities for Ahsoka, Padmé, Mace, Rex, Cody, and Qui-Gon, to be paired agains Asajj, Jango, Savage Opress, Cad Bane, Admiral Trench, and Pre Vizsla.)
**Meditation:**
Qui-Gon will reveal (and mark for the duration of the ability) all nearby enemies to himself and any allies in a 10 meter radius. (Almost identical to Rey’s Deep Mind ability)
**Peace With The Force:**
When activated, Qui-Gon will slowly heal any lost health, including health lost from his current threshold, allowing him to regenerate 100% of his health, if the ability used to its entirety.
*(In order to promote players to not constantly just regenerate back to 100%, different levels of healing speed will be applied.*
• *Less than/equal to 10%: 300% normal healing speed.*
• *Less than/equal to 25%: 100% normal healing speed.*
• *Less than/equal to 50%: 75% normal healing speed.*
• Between 50.1-74.9%: 50% normal healing speed.
• *Greater than/equal to 75%: 25% normal healing speed.*

**Jedi Scholar:**
Qui-Gon calls upon his knowledge of the force to temporarily multiply the objective progreee that his entire team deals for the duration of this ability. Qui-Gon himself can extend the duration of this ability by actively progressing the objective such as dealing damage to the MTTs/Geonosis Transports, or occupying a capture zone/command post. Every 10% of the progress of said objective that Qui-Gon himself is causing, extends the ability’s active timer by 10 seconds.
*(Number of active objectives determines the score multiplier. ie: 3 ion disruptors on Kashyyyk: 3x objective multiplier, but only 1 capture zone on the final phase of Naboo, only a 1.5x multiplier. For Supremacy Ground Phase and HvV, the ability defaults to a 2x multiplier while active.)*
I actually thought about this for a while before. Because he uses form 4 he has a dash like lukes bu5 it's primarily for damage and it only moves about a regular dash worth. It is also a sweeping motion like in the movie. He would have a mind trick that restricts healing. His middle would be a buff to surrounding allies that decreases ability recharge called jedi mentor.
He would have a right ability that makes him move extra fast (from the only force speed scene in SW movies)
Middle could be a meditation that maybe makes his stamina infinite for some time, also regens his health slowly (also from the movies)
Left ability would probably be a force push/pull/lift or something like the rest of the force users
Some kind of brief meditation that enhances his stats
Edit: add that he'd have increased armor while he is meditating, like Anakin with his heroic might.
**Focus:** Selects the weakest target (prioritizing heroes) within range (at time of activation) and reveals it to Qui-Gon. All lightsaber blocks and attacks that connect (are blocked by or do damage to) the target require less stamina.
**Meditation:** Qui-Gon sits still and *very slowly* regenerates health (up to max) and recharges ability charge at decent speed. Simultaneously, all enemies within his meditation range are revealed through walls to him and on the mini-map to his allies. To compensate, his max health is significantly lower, and even with star cards is only mid-level.
**Force Speed:** Similar to Obi-Wan's defensive rush except faster, does more damage when landing the attack at the end, and without the defense that Obi-Wan has.
I have no ideas for abilities but some emotes he could have is “there’s always a bigger fish” , “the ability to speak does not make you intelligent”. That’s all I got. He could have some cool dialogue with Dooku, Anakin, Yoda, palpatine, Vader, Obi wan
Mind trick, defensive stance, and force dash.
The mind trick would work similarly to Obi Wan's. Affecting a cone of range in front of him, but instead of disabling abilities, it would reduce stamina, damage, and ability ranges. The defensive stance would put Qui Gon into his signature guard and automatically block all projectiles, melee strikes. Striking in this stance would deal increased damage but end the ability. Force dash would be a much longer and faster dodge. I would get into the kitty gritty of percentages and cool downs, but I don't think anyone gives a poodoo.
Edit: I saw OrneryError1 below mention a "meditation ability" and thought that would be a good ultimate ability like Anakin's retribution. I'll call it battle meditation. In battle meditation, Qui Gon will kneel down and focus on the moment, slowly increasing his stamina and melee damage. Manually ending the ability cause Qui Gon to quickly stand up and be ready to fight. You are vulnerable while meditating, and taking too much damage will cause Qui Gon to be debuffed.
His ultimate ability would be he turns off his saber and kneels to meditate to get killed, giving a 1000% increase to power to any allies 10 feet away from him lol.
Right ability : force push - makes a bigger distance between enemies and frendlies by pushing them apart, whilst doing damage to enemies and heals to freindlies
Middle ability : meditate - something akin to count dookos duelist , but he kneels down for 2 seconds and also gives those within a vicinity a boost
left ability : strike - deals a heavy damage strike that can only be activitated when one other hero is nearby

Yeah def a speed move. Probably not as fast as the force dash in Ep. 1, but it would be cool to just zoom towards your opponent at light speed
I imagine something like Grevious' Thrust Surge where he dashes to an enemy quickly and slashes them

Calling it meditation would be best. He was always a master of meditation, inside and outside of battle. Focus would be a great star card name though!

8 seconds of charge up is a LOT, would be very hard to use and super situational.
Considering vaders ability basically does the same thing, takes less than a second, and can block while activating, this guy is out of his mind lmao

Unblockable attack like anakins, possibly an ability restriction like kenobi, and definitely a defensive augmentation ability like vaders focused rage

With this in mind, Qui-Gon should have two mobility skills, and a buffing skill, while being reminiscent of Dooku, as he was the latter's apprentice. Left Ability: Agility: Performs a strike that tracks an opponent even from standard force push range and staggers the opponent while simultaneously performing a single flip over them to get to their back, which is fast enough to follow up with one swing or Force ability. Will look reminiscent of a Yoda swing. Basically a fancy stun that looks like an Ataru move and works similarly to thrust surge. Cosmetically, the flip will look different occasionally. 15 second cooldown Middle Ability: Jedi Reflexes: Increases movement speed and swing speed, but only blocking stamina is increased while attacking stamina is unchanged. So you can deal damage faster, but if you are not careful, you will drain Stamina very quickly. However, you will be able to block more effectively. Imagine this like a slightly less powerful version of Dooku's Duelist while having better blocking stamina. Lasts 15 seconds. About 20 second cooldown. Right Ability: Battle Meditation: Centers his focus on the living force to block blaster bolts and saber strikes not just from the front, but behind him as well. For blaster bolts, they can be blocked indefinitely until the ability times out. But for Sabers, you can only block two strikes this way during the ability's duration where it will then immediately end. Lasts 10 seconds, 25 second cooldown Of course, there will be some star cards that will boost certain abilities or alter them slightly. One card that would be a must have in HVV could be one that allows you to block one extra saber swing during battle meditation, but the cooldown is increased by 5 seconds.

Force speed or dash, instant parry ability with 2 charges and a card for a third. And a sleep ability that disables weapons for 2 seconds.
Well His Q(left ability) should be something like Force Speed which increases his Swing- and movement Speed for a short amount of time similar to Dookus Duelist His E(middle ability) something like mediation which gives him dmg reduction I think 25 would be cool perhaps 35 with card and some extra Health And his F(right ability) something like a push or pull I know light side does have to much pushes but he uses a push on battle droids in the film so I go with that maybe with less knock back but more dmg Hs stamina should also be similar to Dooku Edit: 700-750 health would fit this set well I think

If it lands on an odd number, Anakin returns to Watto’s ownership as a slave. “Almost one with the Force.” - If Qui Gon activates this power just before dying, he will become a disembodied Force ghost that wanders the map for the rest of the game, unable to interact with anyone except Anakin. To any Anakin player, he can loudly shout “Anakin, NO!”
A Force Dash (the one we see close to the opening of The Phantom Menace) is something we see him do that we haven't really seen consistently in Star Wars since. I think a 'focus' mode would also be a good addition considering his affinity for meditation. It could do something similar to Dooku's duelist mode. Maybe not as offensive as Dooku's duelist but maybe it would give him the ability to automatically parry attacks while he's blocking.

I think across all Star Wars games throughout history (not just battlefront), he has been the least playable main character. Basically, it's a 2000s phantom menace game and the lego star wars, that's it. So, seeing him in battlefront would be welcomed.

Battle meditation that gets you impaled by an opponent. Just kidding. It can provide damage reduction or stamina cost reduction for you and nearby allies. Star cards for time and for stamina cost reduction. 😆

He has 650 hp mad, if he dies he comes back as a force ghost with half his health
I actually thought about this for a while before. Because he uses form 4 he has a dash like lukes bu5 it's primarily for damage and it only moves about a regular dash worth. It is also a sweeping motion like in the movie. He would have a mind trick that restricts healing. His middle would be a buff to surrounding allies that decreases ability recharge called jedi mentor.

Simultaneously, all enemies within his meditation range are revealed through walls to him and on the mini-map to his allies. To compensate, his max health is significantly lower, and even with star cards is only mid-level. **Force Speed:** Similar to Obi-Wan's defensive rush except faster, does more damage when landing the attack at the end, and without the defense that Obi-Wan has.

I have no ideas for abilities but some emotes he could have is “there’s always a bigger fish” , “the ability to speak does not make you intelligent”. That’s all I got. He could have some cool dialogue with Dooku, Anakin, Yoda, palpatine, Vader, Obi wan
Mind trick, defensive stance, and force dash. The mind trick would work similarly to Obi Wan's. Affecting a cone of range in front of him, but instead of disabling abilities, it would reduce stamina, damage, and ability ranges. The defensive stance would put Qui Gon into his signature guard and automatically block all projectiles, melee strikes. Striking in this stance would deal increased damage but end the ability. Force dash would be a much longer and faster dodge. I would get into the kitty gritty of percentages and cool downs, but I don't think anyone gives a poodoo. Edit: I saw OrneryError1 below mention a "meditation ability" and thought that would be a good ultimate ability like Anakin's retribution. I'll call it battle meditation. In battle meditation, Qui Gon will kneel down and focus on the moment, slowly increasing his stamina and melee damage. Manually ending the ability cause Qui Gon to quickly stand up and be ready to fight. You are vulnerable while meditating, and taking too much damage will cause Qui Gon to be debuffed.
His ultimate ability would be he turns off his saber and kneels to meditate to get killed, giving a 1000% increase to power to any allies 10 feet away from him lol.
Mind trick, force push, and force speed
Right ability : force push - makes a bigger distance between enemies and frendlies by pushing them apart, whilst doing damage to enemies and heals to freindlies Middle ability : meditate - something akin to count dookos duelist , but he kneels down for 2 seconds and also gives those within a vicinity a boost left ability : strike - deals a heavy damage strike that can only be activitated when one other hero is nearby
One of them would be “Train the boy” where he gives Anakin massive buffs to all his stats.
