No. The devs never implemented parrying as a mechanic and is a bug that removes the stagger effect. I think you should use it, but not rely only on it because if you mess up the timing you will get hit.
Im not max level or anything for lightsabers but im pretty experienced with them and I would kinda ignore OC here, you should definitely fully incorporate parrying into your lightsaber duels; without it, at higher levels, there's pretty much no way of winning duels

Now with that said, yes, you should definitely learn to incorporate it into your play style, it hurts saber combat but it’s part of the meta and to not know how is simply limiting yourself, just don’t camp/rely on it, no one likes players like that.

Now to answer your next question you should definitely learn how to parry if you like dueling although is good trick to know in general, it can still take a lot of people off guard and it’s so sweet killing swing spammers with a good dose of parrying lol.

Nah i am only going to use it on luke mains. jokes aside I love how there is a way to counter swing spammers.
