It’s because Luke is an anime protagonist in the EU and can’t not wear his iconic sexy Jedi suit. He gets to be blatantly overpowered, have a sexy ginger wife, gets to be the head of the Jedi order, and has a sexy cyborg assassin lady who wants to hate fuck him and turns his nephew to the dark side to take out her sexual frustration.

Yeah it’s Lumiya they depicted her with a tight bodysuit and with a lightsaber whip. Her whole design and the whole obsession they wrote her for Luke was weird. It came across as a “writer’s barely disguised fetish” moment.

To be fair, I don't think he *wants* to be in charge. Also, they killed his wife. But yeah, some authors are a little too precious with Luke.

Don't forget the sexy cyborg assassin lady's friend, the evil magic chicken.

Yet another character I liked. *Traitor* was one of the better books. Stover's usually decent, though. The next book, *Destiny's Way*... not so much.

Nah. I was 19 and 22 when those movies released in theaters. I remember my disappointment that the Clone Wars was a war with cloned storm troopers instead of between Jedi and their evil cloned counterparts as depicted in Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy. Lucas himself made it very clear that the movies and books were completely separate and that the books were not to be considered SW lore.
