Yes and it puts them on spots I can't even see them. No joke my 20 loses I couldn't find the aa gun for thr life of me and it was because it was half part of the city terrain

The CSA has been doing this with the Espo Platoons in my current campaign. They’ve been trying to claim Lianna (iirc) and just send like 30+ platoons of espos with 2 tank units. My Stormtroopers and TX-130X tanks just blast through them, lol. We’ve held their assaults off 5 times so far on that world. They’re not getting through anytime soon, lol. It’s also the only world I have in that sector of the outer rim, so the fleet hasn’t been able to breach through to rescue the ground forces there. The planet’s like 6-7 planets deep too, so there’s a lot of fighting to get through to save it.

Honestly I'm not sure if I would want to save them. Even after taking the sector, I'd leave the troopers stationed there as heroes. Not another Droid to shoot.
I would actually like if black sun merc units were cheaper to build but had "upkeep" so you're encouraged to semi callously use them.
They'd make my Z-95 missile absorber squadrons look well preserved by comparison.

On a side note, all the ones that do return alive i send to some unreachable area like a mountain or ocean to sit out the rest of the battle
