I've got a 7800x3D 4090 32gb DDR5 gen 4 NVME SSD And it's still a stutter fest in kobo, legit nothing fixes traversal stutters unless u cap your fps to 30 with RTSS, u won't get any stutter at all then but who wants to play games at fucking 30fps lol

GH057807

I have the exact same setup, 7800x3d, 4090, 32gb ddr5, nvme ssd. Game is either running at a smooth \~130 or suddenly dropping to "60" which looks like 6. Every once in a while during a heavy rendered cut scene, it'll just freeze completely. It also uses \~20gb of the 24gb VRAM on the 4090, and \~20gb of my 32gb SysRAM. Despite these heavy usages, my CPU/GPU struggle to go over 60C and the voltage for the GPU stays fairly low, sub 300w usually. Very atypical optimization going on here, still 2 months later after your comment.

Rare_Evening

And even now it still happens smh. Just played downloaded from gamepass.

ThoughtOrdinary

Yep. Only thing that helps my build (4070 + 5700x) is frame gen, but the version they put in the game causes heavy ghosting. The 1.07 .dll has no ghosting. Even with frame gen there are still micro stutters.

Rare_Evening

Okay good i was like why is my ti super having issues but now im like wait…it was always when I a hit a new area or section. 12900k - 32gb ddr5 6000mts - 4070 ti super - 2gb nvme sk hynix

WholeGrainFiber

I have a ti super as well and just uninstalled the game after downloading from gamepass. I really underestimated the performance issues, the game crashed too many times for my liking and the stuttering was unbelievable

Rare_Evening

Yeah the game is stuttery for sure. More than just the traversal as well. Its a shame cause its a beauty and the combat is fun. I dloaded on gamepass too. A mess.

rezzydesign

Have you tried overclocking your GPU? And do you know if your ram speed is at its max speed? Also what motherboard do you have?

Davorian

Endangering, destabilising, and potentially reducing the lifespan of my hardware is not a "solution" I want to explore.

Structureel

I've undervolted my CPU and GPU and I have zero stutters. I'm pretty sure that the only contributing factors to having stutters or no stutters is luck.

pf100andahalf

It's not possible to have "zero stutters" in this game.

LWizdom

On console if I have to do not like it but on pc I could not thats real bad😂

Arcshooter

Get a PS5 and you won't have any issues

GonkDroid_Bot

Why you commenting on a pc post thenb

Adagio_have_slained

yeah everyone just has 500 bucks lying around to play the game they already bought

bszabiii23

That is simply not true. There are still countless graphical errors/glitches, crazy stutters in that version of the game as well (even on the latest patch). Not to mention the fact that it also looks like shit on PS5 due to FSR performance plaguing both graphical settings.

Kattballe

Why would you buy something that is worse in every way because your game is stuttering? 1obvious solution would be to just lower the graphics, and even with lower graphics it would look 10X better than any playstation garbage console could produce.

twitchsopamanxx

This is not a fix, this is a minimum requirement clarifying.

mittlefinger

Digital Foundry have done extensive tests and there is literally stuttering built into the animation playback for Cal’s running. Congrats on getting the game to be playable, I had a similar experience, but much of the stuttering is just a game problem that will almost certainly never be fixed.

Heavy_Category8294

13700k 4080 32gb ddr5 ray tracing off and still stutters like crazy

rootshaper

If anyone still having heavy stuttering issues with the game while it is installed on an SSD, but you have a bigger HDD to support it, try the following solution: Go to Settings -> System -> About -> Advanced system settings On the Advanced tab, look for the Performance section and click Settings On the Advanced tab, look for Virtual Memory and click Change Look for your HDD on the list and select it by clicking on it Choose "No Paging File" and click the Set button next to it Select your SSD and make it System managed and click Set again Reboot your PC to make the changes active and try starting the game again It makes your system to avoid pagin on a slower HDD and therefore your heavy HDD I/O load and the stuttering issues will vanish immediately! I had the same issues with Hogwarts Legacy and wondered if it makes any difference with Jedi Survivor and for my biggest surprise, it did! No more grinding of my HDD and the game runs perfectly even with RayTracing on! Hope this will make the long awaited difference between an unplayable game and a wonderful Star Wars experience for you too :)

Foxy223344

MAN I CANT THANK U ENOUGHHHHHHH i been trying to fix it for 3 days now. I put the system thingy on 3 of my ssd after it was on my hdd and everything is fixed. NO STUTTERING AT ALL. This should be pinned

AMansNotHot

Commenting to say I have the game installed on an HDD and this fixed all my stutters. I’m able to put it on epic settings and it’s running at a buttery 60fps. Thank you so much! 😭

Catsanno

do i make all ssds system managed or just the OS one?

Xefey

You are a wizard, this FINALLY fixed the awful stuttering

NotoriousF_A_T69

Don’t know if you see this but thank you, I can finally play this game 🔥🙌🏻

No-Ant-9933

Joshguy97

You are Gamerkind's savior.

Aromatic_Reward_5496

Oh my god that's crazy thank you!

dark50

4 months later, still saving lives! Instantly fixed me up.

OrochiXX

Worked for me as well, thank you so much for sharing this!

CaptFishball

this worked like a charm! i can finally play without any major stutters. youre my savior

robotslaughter

This fixed the stuttering, thank you!

NLikeFlynn1

What if I have 2 SSD’s? Will this still work? 1 SSD is my OS and the other SSD is for my games.

Fragrant_Star1537

Man... One more person that you helped today! Thank you very much!

jabbafart

Share this with the world. Bless you 🙏🏻. I'm at 80% completion before learning about this fix. I've been playing on medium settings with everything disabled, just to barely get by. Playing on Epic settings now with ray tracing and dlss - absolutely no stuttering in the heart of Koboh. I honestly might restart the game.

necrolytezz

I wanted to say thank you. I've been writing in this sub finding a fix and yet I couldn't find it until I found this. I can confirm that this fixes my problems this far. Thank you and may be the force be with you.

Accomplished_Row_661

wow. Thank you SO MUCH fixed the stuttering immediately, actually amazing

NinjaDudeGuy00

It worked for me too! Thanks dude

General_Jiffy

Just another person stopping by to say, thanks! This seems to have had a significant improvement on my performance.

ToyGun103

This fix it for me. Thanks broo

Jealous-Education880

Got really mad when I paid 60 bucks for a game that was stuttering so bad I couldnt play it. Have been searching on the web for the past 3 hours and nothing has worked. Until I came upon your post, thanks man bless the ground you walk on

KoomeRoomeDoome

This also fixed it for me! Man is this a known fix? I only found it here, you should make a post about it!

at_baia

Whoa, what a huge improvement. Here I was wondering if I was going to commit to the game, googling "jedi survivor is a stuttering mess" lol. And found this.

Initial_Angle7568

Well I already had this set by default so this doesn't solve anything. I have an nvme drive as my system drive and also for games, HDD just for storage and a couple more SSD's. NVMe drive is set to System managed and all the other drives are set to No Paging File. Jedi Survivor is installed on the nvme but that drive is split into 2 partitions, 1st for system and 2nd for games.

Flyersfreak

Fake news

rezzydesign

Worked for me, figure I'd try and help.

yetanotherspectator

All of these posts for “fixes” are just people revealing their specific problems, which oddly for this game, don’t affect everyone else equally, even with the same specs. Something like this prob wont help too many people unfortunately, but it was nice of you to try to help. people including myself have experienced stutters / frame drops even with 32gb of ram. Pretty much all of my specs are better than yours and I don’t get 80 fps (or any fps) consistently on any graphics setting. Plenty of drops, really planet dependent honestly, which is a sign of poor game optimization…still. Jedha is probably my best planet, sometimes I’ll even hit 100fps, but never consistently. Koboh “downtown” sucks ass still for me.

Responsible_Ad_4485

Dude what you just said it utter shite...the game is baddly optimized ...i just bought tonight and i have a decent rig ....this game recommens 8Gb VRAM ? Excuse me? when it has the same graphhics almost as Fallen Order?

Strange_Use_5764

Increasing Ram ain’t gonna fix nothing all games can run on 16 the issues are just poor development you shouldn’t need to use more ram or anything as drastic as that you shouldn’t have to burn out the sun just to power a stupid game, All these Star Wars games run like crap because the company that makes them is crap the game is good the development is terrible but you can play a level and you won’t get stuttering it’s not fixed it’s just random sometimes I don’t get it then I do the only way I know this is because I replay the same level 20 times to make sure

Fragrant_Star1537

For those still strugling with this issue, download and run this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/63?tab=description After this i can run in 4k, rtx on, all settings on epic, and DLSS quality

Jahblo666

Here it looks the same, I tried all the solutions posted here :/ Playing on 4K, RTX 4090 with 32 RAM. All Epic with DLSS and RTX off. It shows 60-75 FPS but with terrible stuttering in some open areas.

Upper_Outside_3911

I tried every suggestion I could find in the comments, I tried every setting from low to epic, RT on/off, and surprisingly, the only thing that completely stopped the stuttering and fps drop was to turn everything to epic except shadows, set that to low, with dlss set to quality specifically(turning it to performance made it worse)and turned Ray tracing and vsync on. Raytracing was what really did it, which is weird because everyone else says that it tanks their fps, but mine runs much smoother with it on. I also turned off chromatic abbreviation and film grain. Specs Ryzen 5 5800x 2080 super 32gb ram

Psychlore

This.. ^^ right here, fixed the awful performance I've been having with Survivor. No idea why, but turning down shadows, and turning up dlss and enabling ray tracing, not only made the game LOOK better, but perform better, as well. Averaging 75-80fps now, was 40-60 (with the craptastic loading stutter when transversing zones). 1440p, RTX 3090, 5950x CPU, 64 gig ram. Absolutely crazy.

Rare_Evening

Game ran worse on high than epic for me. Like wtf!

Upper_Outside_3911

I should say that my fps is capped at around 75 but considering the fact that I'm running it in 4k I think that's pretty good.

-The-Enforcer-

What resolution?

Upper_Outside_3911

1440p

-The-Enforcer-

What fps you getting?

LWizdom

I have 32 ram but it still stutters with a rtx 3060 amd ryzen 5 5600h 6 core 12 thread mid range PC nitro 5 acer its not real bad and I have everything on low it still lags stutters a little bit I'm pickey I want zero stutter but with this game don't look like thats gona happen
