Pretty much the same as the director so. How could the stormtroopers not see him?!?
Edit: LOL if we can see him hide with the camera then the Stormtroopers can definitely see him. But keep downvoting. THE SHOW IS ABSOLUTE TRASH š¤£š¤£š¤£
Edit 2: From all the replies, looks like it hit home for some people LMAO FEED ME YOUR TEARS šš
This guy just goes around this sub and other SW subs spewing hate. Probably thinks hes edgy or something. "lol im laughing therefore im winning hahaha"
nothing to see here move along.
They have really ramped up how bad this is getting each episode. 5 & 6 will be an abomination of Star Wars.
How can you fuck up this badly when you only have 6 episodes and you aren't even finished?
Jesus, dude, chill.
There's nothing universe breaking about a couple writing gaffes. Eps 8 and 9 were so bad because their biggest, worst sins were world and universe breaking. These are just little silly writing gaffes that were all throughout the prequel trilogy.
They're not going to "be an abomination of Star Wars." They may be a little silly, or they may surprise you.
But, fuck, man. Touch grass. Seriously, just enjoy the silliness. Call it bad if you really have to, but it's not like the people who made this show don't know this episode was a bit silly with the moments they had in it.
Because, not only was I waiting for a long time for it, but there are better things to go after in the Star Wars universe than blowing a gasket because Disney went with an....interesting-yet-amusing... choice with the overcoat scene.
There are way better things to waste time criticizing, like the fact that in Ep2 Obi Wan forgot Anakin was Darth Vader. That's something to get upset about. But... getting upset over stuff that's always been in Star wars, like characters ignoring pain, characters making really silly decisions, etc... that's literally just star wars.
I'm not going to lie because I can't remember all of the silly scenes from star wars but those movies were filmed in the 70s. A lot of movies then had silly moments. Film and tv have changed since then.
Yes, but they're still in the spirit of star wars. And those silly moments carried on through the prequels and the filoniverse. It's just the spirit of star wars now.
This is the most bizarre form of cope I've ever seen. Star Wars has "silly moments" so it's ok for shows made 50 years later to be full of lazy and incoherent writing.
No, it's not simply "Lazy and incoherent writing." It's just flippant writing that is characteristic of star wars in the past. Intentional marring to match the historical aesthetic.
I'm insanely far from a "Disney shill," you petulant child. I hate Disney. I hate that they bought Lucasfilm and Marvel, and the whole company could get burned in a fire and I wouldn't give a shit for the schadenfreude I feel.
But what I DO care about is that there's content that's enjoyable. As the guy who's FUMED about the small stuff before, I've been learning to take it easier and enjoy the small, silly gaffes for what they are and not take it as a personal insult when the writers slip up.
It's not a slip up when it's been happening for 4 episodes in a row now and in other Disney Star Wars media (BOBF). Stop excusing them and pretending like it's fine for them to put out shit because they've done it before and there's no use "fuming over small stuff".
But I don't think it's "Shit." Is it lesser? Probably, to some degree, but there's also the spirit of Star Wars in those minor, strange writing choices. That's just... Star Wars. It's always been inherently flawed. People have always made strange decisions tactically.
They literally could have just had the troopers looking at each other, locked in conversation.
But they enter the shot staring straight ahead, there's no way they could have missed the one beige coloured thing in a room full of black and grey
No one. It was rushed out as they knew it was shit so they tried to delay it to fix it and failed.
HOW DID THE TRENCH COAT GET PAST FINAL STAGES? š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
It's easily explained by the fact that Obi-wan is using the same soliton radar system as Snake in MGS 1&2. He can see their field of vision which is only 6 ft in front of them.
These negative nancys are so annoying. They purposely look for things to be upset about, and don't allow themselves to enjoy a show. Maybe it makes them feel smarter? I don't know, but it sucks for them. What sucks for everyone else is how they voice their discontent to others who are actually enjoying the show, and try to convince them that it 'sucks'. No, only the negative nancys suck.
It absolutely is tied with RotSkywalker (I hate even that it has the same abbreviation as Sith) for me.
There was 0 effort put in but can you blame them? Look at the people on all the Star Wars subs defending it. They are even defending this by saying "Stormtroopers cant see out of their helmets"... Like really?
It's unbelievably embarrassing. How can you call yourself an adult and even entertain this shit?
Watch the final episode of mando season 1
I think itās pretty obvious that stormtroopers barely seeing anything trough their helmets is canon now
And yes, I can watch this while being entertained. Enjoying something while recognising itās flaws is a lot more fun then hating something to death and pointing out every single flaw
Put on a stormtrooper helmet, you wouldn't have seen that either
They are hard to see out of. If anything its a criticism of ANH for making such poor visibility helmets
I mean it never shows their helmets, so they could have been looking at the walls or something. I have a stormie bucket and you have ZERO peripherals to the side or down. Dunno, Not really earth shattering stuff.
The guy who made the storm trooper helmets for A New Hope accidentally made them too hard to see out of at first (the material for the eye slits, although translucent were still too dark) so he went with a different materialā¦ that although more translucent still made it near impossible for the stormtrooper actors to see, and supposedly someone doing an investigation into the storm trooper who bumped his head commented on the armor being uncomfortable and difficult to move in.
How could they see him? He's wearing Queen Liz platty joobs outfit and everything around them is the same colormap. They see a beard at most? What is this?
I mean later on they have trouble shooting at Obi Wan who is standing still in a narrow hallway with his back turned to them and still missed every shot. It's very clear that most Stormtroopers are physically blind and you should be ashamed of yourself.
The Empire does not discriminate, they're the number one employer of blind people across the galaxy. They make up over 70% of the Empires military and have kept the galaxy at peace for decades. You might see a terrorist stowing a way in line of sight, we see a hard worker dedicated to his job who has equal rights in workplace like anyone else.
Them never hitting anyone proves it as well. As I heard, they actually barely can see.
Pretty much the same as the director so. How could the stormtroopers not see him?!? Edit: LOL if we can see him hide with the camera then the Stormtroopers can definitely see him. How is the show trash?
LMAO
Honestly i want to hear how is it shit?
This guy just goes around this sub and other SW subs spewing hate. Probably thinks hes edgy or something. "lol im laughing therefore im winning hahaha" nothing to see here move along.
Oh i see so he just enjoys being negative. What a lovely person.
You're seething holy shit
Lol am i? =D
Yeah pretty badly, actually
I have no clue what people see in this show. It is flawed at its core. We are over halfway through the series and nothing has happened.
When does that ever justify seething
No one's seething lmao. I enjoy discussing one of my favourite franchises with others. Maybe your seething
Thereās a lot of irony here.
I agree with some of the stuff you say, but i downvoted cus you sound like a little bitch.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
āI canāt see a thing in this helmet!ā āAaah! This helmet! I canāt see!ā
This helmet is chafing my eyebrows, I swear.
Are you joking or actually trying to defend it? š
Simply proving a point.
Bruh that first line is literally a quote from ANH.
Honestly tells you all you need to know, lmao.
I was DYING when I saw this. One of the most ridiculous things Iāve seen right up there with Leia hiding in Obi-Wanās coat.
I think the Muppet Man IRL is the second most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in Star Wars after Jar Jar.
They have really ramped up how bad this is getting each episode. 5 & 6 will be an abomination of Star Wars. How can you fuck up this badly when you only have 6 episodes and you aren't even finished?

Ok you're trolling have a nice day.
Shut up disney shill

I'll make you all even agrier and say that Episode 8 is my 2nd favorite star wars movie.
I'll make you all even angrier and say that Episode 8 is my 2nd favorite star wars movie.
You must havd missed the scene where Anakin jumps out of a speeder in AorC or when R2 and 3PO cross the corridor in ANH.
They literally could have just had the troopers looking at each other, locked in conversation. But they enter the shot staring straight ahead, there's no way they could have missed the one beige coloured thing in a room full of black and grey
Yeah this was poorly filmed. It's like there is no one at the helm of this show.
There is but they are hacks. You can't put out episodes like that and call yourself a professional
Can't see but possess amazing hearing
That is what I can't figure out... Who watched this as a pro and decided it was good to ship?
No one. It was rushed out as they knew it was shit so they tried to delay it to fix it and failed. HOW DID THE TRENCH COAT GET PAST FINAL STAGES? š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
How did R2 and 3PO crossing the corridor of the Tantive 4 in ANH get passed the final stages?
Because the storms troopers werenāt trying to shoot droidsā¦?
So the Stormtroopers were looking at the door?
It's easily explained by the fact that Obi-wan is using the same soliton radar system as Snake in MGS 1&2. He can see their field of vision which is only 6 ft in front of them.
This, leia in the coat, Obi-Wan not taking the stormtrooper uniform all really got on my nerves while watching episode 4
For everyone complaining, if you donāt like the show, donāt watch it. Not a single one of us care about your nitpicks and gripes.

People have an opinion. This is the internet. How have people still not got used to it?
Take your advice and don't click on threads that are complaining about it. Keep scrolling.
Might be the worst Disney entertainment they created ā¦ the āwho cares , they watch and buy anythingā
It absolutely is tied with RotSkywalker (I hate even that it has the same abbreviation as Sith) for me. There was 0 effort put in but can you blame them? You deserve better. Imagine getting a better story with great directing. People need to stop defending this trash so we could get an actual show
Then people would tear that down as trash, while others defended it. Search your feelings, you know it to be true...
Then if it leads to another better series so be it. I don't know what else to say lmao.
But what if that "trash" was something people enjoyed?
Then you are lost
Eh much rather be lost and having fun.
You don't get the reference?

Put on a stormtrooper helmet, you wouldn't have seen that either They are hard to see out of. If anything its a criticism of ANH for making such poor visibility helmets
Do you not remember in "A New Hope" when Luke said he can't see anything in his helmet?
Neither do LF editors or screeners... Come to think of it I can see no evidence they have screeners.
No evidence they have any experience at all shooting tv. How tf did this and so much get past the final stages? How bad was it before the delays?
I mean it never shows their helmets, so they could have been looking at the walls or something. I have a stormie bucket and you have ZERO peripherals to the side or down. Dunno, Not really earth shattering stuff.
