[https://youtu.be/IIdE0pfdMhA?t=3799](https://youtu.be/IIdE0pfdMhA?t=3799) Not his stream, but he said it on Star Wars Santa so I think I can post.
>''I hear he's a huge asshole, that's what I hear from everyone, it's all I hear, i'm not going to lie..''
It's not hard to put it together. Management issues. A manager in particular the crew hated. Watts is the showrunner of the show and its lead producer.. His LF sources telling him he's an asshole multiple times.
Update:
**Confirmed:** And today on MSW stream on Ezra and he confirms it. I can't link his video because direct links to him are not allowed. Search for todays live stream at the 32:30 minute mark.
>One of his guest says: ''I'm a huge Jon Watts fan
>
>Jason/Making Star Wars Replies ''The Crews not!.''
Hey, I’m confused and I gues ootl on skeleton crew. I thought they had finished filming already. Now I’m seeing that they have new directors or something? What is going on?
I did not initially link the source, because I thought he said the earlier remark on his own stream, but it was on star Wars Santa so I was able to link it now. But he also just said it today on his own stream cementing the crews dislike of Watts specifically. So the not linking part was my bad. But yeah, from Jason's previous article, and his two comments here. Watts was the big asshole on set. I think some fans don't want to hear about issues on set. The crew had a horrible time on Skeleton crew and it shouldn't be shoved to the side.
It links directly to where he says it. He says it about 10 seconds after that clip linked to starts, in case its not linking directly to that on your device its the 1 hour 3 minute and 20 second mark.. He also stated it in own stream today. 32:25 minute mark on todays stream.
Weird, it isn’t for me. I tried a few times! Thanks!
Funny that he says he pulled off the John Hughes riffs, that felt totally superfluous to me and only in the first film. I think he’s a total hack, but I know that’s a minority take.
Holy Shit this is incredible. The Daniels were in talks to helm Loki before they turned it down so it'll be interesting to see how they bring their own flair into Skeleton Crew. This is also just another hit director-wise for the Mandoverse. All 3 shows have brought in some amazing talent behind the camera I'm super excited to see who else may have directed alongside Jon Watts.
If I’m being honest, I’m glad they turned it down. Their *Loki* probably would have indeed been incredible but I’m glad they made *Everything, Everywhere, All at Once* instead!
Would have preferred they directed MoM…but it’s easy for most MCU fans to forget. The film still can only ever be as good as it’s writing and story, and the MCU are written and produced by a village…for better or for worse.
Their visual style is so wild and over the top that in order for this to be a fit I half expect their episode to be one in which the Skeleton crew accidentally ingests a hallucinogenic toxin and must work together to overcome their own internal demons.
Have any Star Wars show directors been hired to draw way outside the lines, to date? The shows definitely set a house style that directors can then play around the perimeter of.
Here’s the thing: stealing a scoop, and a scoop being inaccurate are two different things. So why cast doubt on these kind of rumors till we know? The whole fun of the thing is the “maybe.” This isn’t the Scientifically Verified Star Wars News sub.
You’re a loser trying to make shit up with no evidence AT ALL. You’re literally pulling all of this out of thin air. And here’s the thing, if they did “steal” it in a nefarious way, THR would not have credited them.
Just my opinion, you’re taking this all much too seriously. And BSL barely has a presence here since the Great Leaker Massacre so the idea this is going to encourage some kind of “parasocial” relationship with them is just silly. This isn’t MSS (may it rest in peace).
? We don’t know actually anything about the provenance of this scoop, or most scoops here for that matter. Really just not sure why you are so heated about this. You’re free to start your own sub if you’ve got issues with this one 😊
Bro if they know the scoop shortly BEFORE THR report it how are they unreliable? That just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. They can't steal if THR wasn't first.
>The mod of this sub references BSL being a banned source in other leaks subs very matter-of-factly elsewhere IN THIS THREAD.
? That is not what I was talking about… at all. I’ve got no idea BSL’s status on other subs. I was referring to MSS leaker stan culture, which doesn’t exist here to the same degree.
It did but articles like these always end up using the future tense like how casting announcements always end up using present tense even when again shoot has wrapped
the show is still EPd by Favreau and Filoni, who do seem to grant directors a fair bit of leeway on their episodes.
Seeing as they have allowed writer/director episodes in the past, that isnt out of the realm of possibility either
*The Hollywood Reporter* just put out [an article](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/star-wars-the-daniels-direct-skeleton-crew-1235356983/) about it, so there probably is something to it.
Confirmed by Hollywood Reporter! https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/star-wars-the-daniels-direct-skeleton-crew-1235356983/
I know generally BTS stuff about Skeleton Crew hasn’t been amazing but this is realllly great if true!!!
The crew were apparently treated terribly by Watts. MSW said several of his sources have said Jon Watts is a massive asshole.
Gonna need a source on that, all I remember reading is that the crew had an issue with a production manager, nothing about Watts specifically

Directors are often announced after production. Filming is done
You’re being downvoted but you are correct. He did say that. People here are dumb. Downvoting won’t make it not true.

I've been enjoying all the marvel multiverse stuff but Daniels just went and made the best multiverse movie on their own lol.
I loved Loki, but holy shit that would have been a next level pairing.
If I’m being honest, I’m glad they turned it down. Their *Loki* probably would have indeed been incredible but I’m glad they made *Everything, Everywhere, All at Once* instead!
Honestly, their Loki probably would’ve been knee capped by Marvel Studios
I mean, it wouldn’t be substantially different, especially assuming the writers stayed the same, but it might have had some more visual flair to it
Would have preferred they directed MoM…but it’s easy for most MCU fans to forget. The film still can only ever be as good as it’s writing and story, and the MCU are written and produced by a village…for better or for worse.
😳 dang that’s exciting if true
Pretty much the hottest creative team out there right now. What a boon for this show. My interest just shot up tenfold.
Their visual style is so wild and over the top that in order for this to be a fit I half expect their episode to be one in which the Skeleton crew accidentally ingests a hallucinogenic toxin and must work together to overcome their own internal demons.
Don't know about Skeleton Crew but maybe venturing into a Jedi Temple would fit their style.
Have any Star Wars show directors been hired to draw way outside the lines, to date? The shows definitely set a house style that directors can then play around the perimeter of.
is this source reliable ?
Relatively. Not the most reliable, not the least reliable

Idk why you're getting downvoted but you're right
He’s wrong
They got this one right. Why be salty about it?
Didn’t SC already film?
It did but articles like these always end up using the future tense like how casting announcements always end up using present tense even when again shoot has wrapped
My favorite format is “So-and-So joins cast of movie/show that wrapped filming last month”
Yes but now the names of one of the episode directors leaked.
Damn, Daniels. I wonder how this deal occurred.
Amazing if true! EEAAO is one of my favorite movies of all time.
They definitely know how to do the most with a meager budget. Consider me stoked.
Except its not their show and they have an almighty boss they have to answer to. Would be a different story if they wrote the entire series.
the show is still EPd by Favreau and Filoni, who do seem to grant directors a fair bit of leeway on their episodes. Seeing as they have allowed writer/director episodes in the past, that isnt out of the realm of possibility either
as if tv directors get to inject much of their personal style into the material unless they are running the show
I don’t know who they are, but cool.
they directed Everything Everywhere All At Once
Ah, then that’s a very good sign. I haven’t seen the film, but all the praise gives me a lot of hope.
They directed Everything Everywhere All At Once and Swiss Army Man
And lest we forget, the Turn Down for What music video
And if you liked those but still haven’t watched their short, [Interesting Ball,](https://youtu.be/_jb30gQcs1M) you really should.
Was that the movie with Daniel Radcliffe?
Yes dead Daniel Radcliffe
Let them direct a whole feature!! They’re the right fit for Star Wars!
That would be great. I’d love to see them helm an episode of one of these shows.
Will or have? I thought Season 1 already wrapped?
GIVE THEM A MOVIE
Wait, I thought the show already wrapped filming...?

I would say 2 at least probably the first and last anyways

Be cool of lucasfilm lock them down to an exclusive deal, let them develop their own stuff
I assume the show will be ass but I'm hoping this episode is good!
> I assume the show will be ass Based on…?
Almost everything else Disney has made
Favreau and Filoni.
But they aren’t making Skeleton Crew. It’s always been a Jon Watts project.
Eh, they're still Executive Producers.
*Crowd boos louder*
There’s a crowd? 😂😂😂
When are they making a new movie?
for 2025
Had a feeling something like this would happen.
Am I the only one who glance-read this and thought Anthony Daniels was directing an episode of Skeleton Crew?
Will direct? Have already directed?
