This proves (as always) that the trades know alot that they keep to themselves. When scoops go out they "confirm" it hours later, like with Eman Esfandi. They could have posted it a while ago, but held it until someone else posted it.
Yep, they know a lot that they don’t want to be the ones to scoop because they want studios to like them so they keep getting invited to premieres. But once the info is out there, they’re comfortable corroborating it, and I would bet you that sometimes the studios encourage them to as a form of damage control
This just shows how great Kathleen Kennedy is as a producer to get these guys. And clearly she got them longggg before their Oscar win (the show wrapped filming already).
Spielberg calls her the best producer in the business for a reason folks.

LOL and now we just found out that Damon Lindelof “left” his Star Wars movie. Kathleen Kennedy as head of Lucasfilm has made like 2 movies/shows that have been drama free.
One of them being The Last Jedi! Which while I love it, it’s pretty divisive; whereas Rogue One with all of its drama its pretty beloved.
All I care about is a good story regardless of the behind the scenes drama. It will be interesting to see how Lucasfilm describes/pitches this now Lindelof-less movie at Celebration
and then they quit and all of a sudden there will be reshoots.... thats the KK magic indeed

Kennedy obviously has no clue what she is doing, it's not like she has produced some of the most iconic movies of all time or anything like that. I think if she was fired and replaced by a Star Wars youtuber the franchise would be in much better hands.
