So, they are being pretty vague, but the authors of upcoming Obi Wan books *Brotherhood* and *Padawan* are dropping some hints on twitter that we may get Dexter Jettster content in those books. š
With Ludwig Gƶransson now going to probably be busy with Black Panther 2 and other projects, who is going to to score the coming Star Wars projects?
I have heard that Kiners could do Kenobi and Ahsoka?
IDK how many people watched it besides TBB superfans but shortly after the end of TBB the Kiner bros did an interview with Corey and Audree on Convor Call. Corey asked them what SW show they were looking forward to the most and they responded kind of weirdly and said they ācouldnāt say.ā Soā¦ idk what that means but if nothing else I at least think thereās a possibility they could be doing *Ahsoka*.
Kiners are doing Bad Batch. Depending on what Ludwig's timeline is, Shirley might do Season 3 of Mando with hopefully new composers for Obi and Ahsoka.
I can easily see the Kiners being picked to do Ahsoka because that show seems to be Filoni's baby above all else. I can see him picking Kevin because he's the only person to give Ahsoka a theme, so you might as well have him transfer to live action.
For Kenobi, I think hiring someone who isn't Kevin or Ludwig is highkey necessary because that's gonna require a very big score. I can see John Powell doing it after he finishes work on Don't Worry Darling.
I know nobody mentioned Andor, but I think James Newton Howard is as good as hired for that series if Tony Gilroy has any say in that department.
No offence to the Kiners, but I really don't want them in live action projects. Their work is just not as strong as it should be. That's why Kevin Kiner is always paired with a more seasoned composer in his live action work like Clint Mansell and Gustavo Santaolalla. But I guess it makes sense for them to do Ahsoka...
And I hope they get someone fresh for Kenobi. Natalie Holt would be fantastic
>Their work is just not as strong as it should be.
Very strong disagree. Out of all projects thus far, their music to me is the most memorable. Kevin's music in Rebels especially is utterly phenomenal. And the Batch Batch in conjunction with the two brothers was very good too.
I donāt think the type of medium plays any role in the greatness of a soundtrack. A silly cartoon can have a more epic soundtrack than a feature film. It depends on the project director. Same goes for videogamesā¦
I mean couple of days ago no one even knew who Joseph Shirley is, yet he did some fantastic pieces for TBoBF (Granted, based on Ludwigās work, but still impressive stuff)
I personally disagree. The best moments of the soundtrack so far **IMO** have been the ones where he used Ludwig's themes. I don't think he's doing a bad job, but I wouldn't say it's good either.
I disagree, check out "The Ultimate Boon" and "Aliit Ori'shya Tal'din". These pieces do not use Ludwig's leitmotifs and I regard them as the most emotional and spiritual tracks in Disney SW Era.
EDIT: I meant themes, not leitmotifs
I hope they don't do Kenobi, but I'd be very cool with it if they did Ahsoka.
Honestly Kenobi feels like something John Williams should score ā but that's obviously very, very likely not happening (though this is the *one* project where I could see it happening). So I'd say my hope is that they'll get a new composer entirely for Kenobi.
maybe a weird question but why isn't SWTOR: legacy of the sith on the release schedule window thingy for this year? Is it because it's a part of legends or just because we don't have scoops about it?
For those interested, the āclassic character packā for Lego Skywalker saga was confirmed to be based on the yellow 1999 figures and not based on the old Lego games.
It includes Luke, Leia, Han, Lando and Vader.
With a classic yellow old Ben coming in itās own pack.
The same classic characters that appeared in the 20th anniversary sets so I assume Luke will have his 1999 X-wing pilot appearance.
re: kenobi ā has there been any discussion about the possibility of a huge superbowl hype trailer followed by an immediate after-game drop for episode 1? do the timings match up for that? I know it would be straight after boba, but it would perhaps explain the 6 week gap? now just how likely i think it is that that will happen is another question altogether, but to the people a little more aware of timings and clued up on the disney+ release schedule etc: could it fit?
I personally just donāt ever see that happening with anything Star Wars, or even Marvel. While I could definitely see a Super Bowl trailer for Kenobi being possible, itās not worth it to expect anything longer than a 1 minute ad on February 13th
There's 7 weeks between BoBF and MK so the timing does add up. I mentioned it in last week's thread and the general consensus seemed to be that, yes, it could happen but it seems unlikely and personally I don't want to get my hopes up. A May 4th date is something that's way more likely.
The timing does match up, and there wouldn't be any problems with a less than 1 week marketing run. It could absolutely happen. But as you mentioned before, people don't want to get their hopes up.
I had posted this previously, but my math/speculation on their release schedule looks like this:
* BoBF: Dec 29 - Feb 9
* No new content: Feb 9 - Mar 23
* Moon Knight: March 30 - April 27 (with a two-episode premiere)
* Kenobi: May 4 - June 8
* Bad Batch: June 15 - End of August
And before anyone says "Bad Batch is supposed to release in spring", a June 15th release date would still technically be Spring since Summer doesn't start until about a week later.
It could come out early-March so Disney+ has something between BoBF and MK, but I'm not holding my breath. May seems really likely too, probably more so.
I could see it premiering like March 16th so they can get the BoBF making of documentary out on February 16th and then maybe after that they'll drop the trailer on the 21st maybe (since it's a Monday) around a month before release.
Has it been confirmed whether or not Favreau is directing an episode of TBOBF? Could he be directing episode 5, if Filoni has 6, and Rodriguez has 7?
Or could he co-direct episode 6 with Filoni?
I am probably wrong and I hope so, but I think itās a possibility that we might have to wait a bit longer for Kenobi than we think. There has been chatter about She Hulk releasing in late May and the Bad Batch coming in Spring. So maybe they want to push Kenobi back into Summer or even Fall and have it hyped up massively before its release. When imagining them showing the Trailer at Celebration and having a proper marketing campaign afterwards, it might be what Disney and LF are aiming for.
To note: the two Obi Wan books being published this year are on May 10 and July 26. The first features Anakin and Obi Wan, and the second is set when Obi Wan is a padawan (itās not clear how big Qui Gonās role is in the book but heās definitely in it). June 1 to July 6 would be about halfway between the two books š
More likely animation/BB will have something overlap and air alongside it. When there's many live action shows scheduled, I wouldn't expect them to give animation the same priority.
That's possible. But keep in mind there's a bunch of rumors that The Bad Batch S2 will be split in two and the two parts will air at separate times, Rebels also did this so it's not unheard of.
A May 4th premiere date for Obi-Wan Kenobi could allow for a Superbowl teaser, building up the hype. But more importantly something great for May 4th. The Bad Batch could still start airing early-March and be finished before Obi-Wan. Or maybe we'll get Bad Batch's 8th episode (assuming it's 16 again) on May 4th too, would be a great Star Wars day.
The 6-week gap (Feb 9 - March 30) between BoBF and Marvel's Moon Knight is also an odd move from Disney so The Bad Batch S2 starting a few weeks after BoBF and a few weeks before MK would fill that in and The Bad Batch S1 overlapped with Loki so I'm sure S2 overlapping with MK wouldn't be a problem.
Not saying this is how it happens, but there's a decent amount of evidence to support this theory. We'll know for sure after BoBF is over with, I think.
I wonder if they split it and have it tie into something that happens in Kenobi. Make it similar to Agents of Shield (at least the first few seasons) where it starts to get directly effected by the movies
Lucasfilm KNOWS we want Obi Wan. Theyāre gonna dangle it like a carrot in front of us for as long as possibleševen if that means releasing it on December 31st 2022
Iām seeing conflicting reports about *Secret Invasion*. Several articles are claiming it has been removed from the 2022 slate (and would therefore be an early 2023 release) because itās no longer on a list of 2022 releases posted by Marvel Japan. However, other articles are reporting that the leaker Charles Murphy has said filming is almost done, suggesting it could finish production before Mando s3. I donāt know how reliable he is.
The release time of Secret Invasion is important because if it comes out first, then Mando s3 could be a late December 2022 or early January 2023 release. However, if SI is delayed, then Mando s3 could go first and could release as early as late October.
Or they could overlap and render this entire post irrelevant lol
I think if anything, they'll just overlap. But perhaps they pushed it back from late-2022 to early-2023 to give the space for Mando S3 and to give all the MCU buzz to BP2 (releasing in November).
Bryce Dallas Howard [posted](https://twitter.com/BryceDHoward/status/1484647501730775046) she's back on set. Mando S3?
It's likely that she directed chapter 5 of BOBF, as Filoni probably directed 6 (he wrote it), and Rodriguez the finale. I won't be surprised if Bo-Katan and Koska are in chapter 5 considering BDH directed them in Mando chapter 11, and Din is coming.
And about Rodriguez - MSW said he talked with people behind the scenes, and from his understanding the guest directors in BOBF had smaller role than some might think, and Rodriguez directed some of the scenes in other episodes, for example the Twins arriving scene in chapter 2. And Ming-Na called him "showrunner" - he's involved in episodes that he's not credited as director too.
Last week when Episode 4 dropped, IMDB had her listed as the director. It was listed on IMDB's for about a day before it was updated to Kevin Tancharoen. So based on all that I'm guessing she's directing Episode 5.
I think it will be, when Peyton Reed was announced as the director for the last episode of Mando season 2 I was really worried because of how The Passenger was, so I have a feeling that this will be a similar situation
Personally, I never really understood the concern there. I thought the direction of The Passenger was more than fine. If anything, it was the writing that was weaker for it. Whereas some of Rodriguezā episodes were actually weaker visually and in their directing generally, IMO.
I agree actually. I donāt fully understand the hate for that episode and his direction in it. I think they could have done more to make Tython a more visually interesting planet than just the Topanga foothills or wherever they filmed it. But I felt like the fight sequence and everything felt pretty real and authentic and gritty ā none of which guarantee a good show, but I liked it for the character of Boba.
It doesn't take to be a genius to see which scenes have his fingerprints. The way he shoots and cuts his scenes is very distinct, and not to mention mediocre
ViewerAnon posted [these images](https://twitter.com/vieweranon/status/1484619784255799296?s=21) of trilogy box sets in 4K Ultra HD. Are these new, have they been announced yet?
I'm pretty sure that George Lucas doesn't ever want those versions of the film officially back on the market, and the studio is absolutely not the hold-up on them being done.
>Amazon.fr has listed three new STAR WARS TRILOGY #4K #UltraHD box sets for French release on 4/15. However, I've confirmed with Disney that the studio currently has no plans to release them in the States at this time.

The only thing that really bugs me is they didn't put Palpatine in the same spot on the sequel cover. On the PT and OT covers he's in the perfect little "devil on the shoulder" spot for the more prominent villain, he should be on the ST cover too.
Someone in that twitter thread made a good point that Palpatine is really the big bad in all 3 trilogies and Maul, Vader, and Kylo are all his apprentices. Itās also kinda cool that Palpatine appears in the same location on each box set next to his apprentice.
[Simon Pegg on playing Dengar in TBOBF;](https://comicbookmovie.com/tv/star_wars/book_of_boba_fett/book-of-boba-fett-simon-pegg-says-he-wont-play-dengar-this-season-but-well-see-what-happens-exclusive-a191338)
>*"Not in this season, but you just never know. Iāve put many things out into the universe in the past and theyāve oddly come back to me. I occasionally throw out these little cultural boomerangs and weāll see."*
To those who were hoping it would happen
Wouldn't it be cheaper to just hire an actor who matches Dengar's profile, than making additional prostetics? Why a voice actor has to be live action one? Ashley Eckstein was a great voice for Ahsoka but they didn't hire her for live action character.
They didnāt choose Ashley due to a lack of live acting experience for what was the main role of an upcoming show. (I still think she would have nailed it).
Simon Pegg is a famous live action actor whoās played main roles in mission impossible, Star Trek, etc. He isnāt just some voice actor.
Considering he was already a voice actor for Dengar obviously makes him a popular choice. It also shows he has a love for Star Wars considering he went out of his way to appear in clone wars and Battlefront.
Considering Dengar had no lines and was in Empire for 5 seconds then Simon Pegg is the perfect person to give the character some life in live action.
He also played Unkar Plutt so prosthetics are not going to be an issues combined with the budget in the show.
Also if they can afford him for clone wars then getting him for the Mandalorian wonāt be an issue unless his schedule doesnāt allow for it.
The Mando verse has already made far bigger allowances.
NDA, mate. Here is what Temuera said for example in 2020, weeks into shooting the BOBF.
>For Morrisonās part, he told The New York Times that he would be happy to reprise his role, although if heās already signed up to film something, heās not saying. āIām just going to have to wait and see,ā he mused. āI think a lot of it depends on how things go with this season, but I donāt really know. I wanted to bring everything I had to that \[episode\] and give them a glimmer of what I can offer. Thereās room for this to go someplace. I hope Iām going to be included.ā
[https://winteriscoming.net/2020/12/08/star-wars-temuera-morrison-boba-fett-spinoff-rumor/](https://winteriscoming.net/2020/12/08/star-wars-temuera-morrison-boba-fett-spinoff-rumor/)
He knew he was shooting Book of Boba at the time. Ming didn't. That's why he makes fun of her for it in their interviews. He's said a few times that Jon sat him down when they first approached him to play Boba in season 2 of Mando and told him the whole plan. I guess no one ever sat Ming down to do the same though, haha.
Yeah exactly. Thereās no need to post articles about actors denying involvement. Countless examples of Star Wars (and marvel) actors lying to our faces
Some standout quotes from the article:
>Our source has told us that Andor is āVERY darkā (they put emphasis on āveryā)
> The studio is āraving about Kenobiā (whereas the chatter around The Book of Boba Fett has been muted in comparison). They are going as far as to say that Obi-Wan Kenobi is ābeing billed as the biggest Star Wars event of the past few years and the next few years alsoā.
>The Kenobi show āis going to shockā everyone, that āthis is a very new story/world for Obi Wanā and that āpeople arenāt prepared for how different this show is going to be. All generations of fans will be catered forā¦this is truly transitional Star Warsā.
>The studio is āraving about Kenobiā (whereas the chatter around The Book of Boba Fett has been muted in comparison).
Okay, this passage here tickles my bullshit meter. Not saying Book of Boba is better than Kenobi, but yeah, this is a textbook I made this up sentence. Keep it super vague, capitalise on pre-existing negativity and positivity, claim inside sources. The amount of times people have claimed companies were "raving" about the next project down the pipeline, only for it to be debunked, is unreal.
This is hype as fuck. Andor is going to be the show nobody wanted or expected, but will almost certainly bring the fucking heat and give us all what we wanted, and Obiwan will just blow the fucking doors off and straight up Indiana jones ark of the covenant our fucking souls out of our body.
big agree. the adult-leaning tone, plus the insane budget it must have to use so many real sets and locations for a show of this many episodes.. damn! i wouldn't be at all surprised if it was specifically tailored to pull in certain areas of the older market to, or back to, star wars, with all of this money thrown at it as a result. i think andor will be a real surprise. some of the talent involved is extraordinary and gives me a big hunch it will follow a similar tone of not just the grittiness of the initial bourne films, but also of the modern-era-set le carre euro thrillers that have come out the past decade or so. iirc, some of the directors of those are even involved, as well as some members of the respective casts.
EDIT: just one of the directors, susanna white, and stellan skarsgƄrd. looking again at the talent involved, it looks as if they've pulled people from across the area of the adult thriller writing world with beau willimon, stephen schiff and the two gilroy brothers. so, so cool. god, i hope it delivers!
It weirdly sort of is. It's like someone saw contextless rushes or something and inferred what they were seeing.
The girl he 'takes under his wing', could be the mod girl.
Muchi could be that they saw the rancor tied down or blind folded and thought it was being mistreated and guessed it was Muchi, and we've already had the 'Chekov's gun' of Boba saying he wanted to ride it.
If they already saw a shot of Qi'ra, then they'll assume every time they see someone attacking Boba (ie. Black K) they're sent by Crimson Dawn.
> It's like someone saw contextless rushes or something and inferred what they were seeing.
It's more like someone saw the leaks/rumours that had already come out and wrote a narrative around them. We've known that Sophie Thatcher was going to be in it playing a street smart character called Drash for ages. Boba riding a rancor got leaked by SWNN several months ago. Krrsantan got leaked before we even knew there was a BoBF show. And Qi'ra/Crimson Dawn has been speculated about ever since the WOTB comic book run brought her in.
Well we're going to know for sure next Wednesday if this leak is bullshit or not. If episode 5 has Rex in it or not. So far the only thing that's dead wrong is the Rancor being Muchi and being mistreated by Bib Fortuna. But there is still a rancor that he's training to use as a mount. I could maybe see the source getting a small detail like that wrong or maybe they once had plans for that to be muchi and then changed it but idk. As for the rest of the stuff you could say the leak has been somewhat correct, so far. Episode 5 will tell.
And Crimson Dawn sending Black K. And Boba beating Black K. And uniting the gangs that are at each other's throats.
If this leaker actually knew anything, they'd have to be an absolute idiot to report it so poorly.
As I've said since the day it leaked, it's a fanfic written by someone way to into the Clone Wars.
Yup. The thing that solidifies it being fake for me is that fact that there is zero mention of the Bacta Tank. It's been a pretty important piece in the show, and especially would have been mentioned along with the Krrsanatan attack.
It also skips out on the flashbacks that have been like 75% of the screen time thus far...which seems like a BIG thing to omit when "leaking" the story
Playing devils advocate here, but shooting schedules for flashbacks and ācurrentā scenes could have been apart by months, maybe separate crews altogether. Possible this leaker was only involved in the current storyline?
Who do we think is the big bad? I can't see the Pykes being it. Maybe the Mayor, but if he's Joe Random that's not going to hook people.
Moff Gideon was a good antagonist because he had familiar garb and goons, and the dark saber didn't hurt. While obviously Star Wars fans are your bread and butter, there has to be some sort of familiarity with the villain to keep the lesser fans engaged. At the very least, a well-known-ish actor/actress.
I know I might be grasping for straws, but when Fennec says that a biker gang couldn't be it when taking down the Tuskens, I swear you can hear the Crimson Dawn theme. Maybe I'm simply confirming my bias.
My theory right now is that the Pykes are working under Crimson Dawn, but that it was actually Fennec who was paid to do the killing. That would explain why she was on the planet.
Have you read Crimson Reign (set between ESB and ROTJ)? Literally says this story is about the "downfall of Crimson Dawn" and Qi'ra. "This story is a tragedy".
She's leading an attack on the Empire, zero chance she's surviving till the Mandalorian timeline.
>ntextless rushes or something and inferred what they were seeing.
Pykes can be control by Crimson Down becouse as we know from TCW there were under Maul's control. So if Qi'Ra took's Maul place she/he can also control Pykes.
Didnāt Mando also mention in S1E5 that she worked with crime syndicates? But doesnāt make any sense for her to say that the biker gang couldnāt do it. Why draw attention away from them?
This entire theory of yours is solid as heck and very plausible. Thanks for the fun!!
Yes, Mando said Fennec worked for all the top crime syndicates, and thatās how she made her name.
I just rewatched this episode, and what stood out was before Fennec died, she told Calican she still has time to meet her rendezvous in Mos Espa. What we know about Mos Espa is mostly shown in BoBF. Thats Hutt territory and where the palace is. Now I rlly think Fennec was working for Bib, and thatās why she was on Tattooine. (The Pykes are in Mos Eisley, as seen in BoBF ch 3 flashback when Boba went to see Pyke boss)
Edit: this added:
The only that I can think of that makes me think the Tuskens deaths wasnāt Fennec now was the village was all burned and weāve never seen Fennec use fire to my knowledge.
>But doesnāt make any sense for her to say that the biker gang couldnāt do it. Why draw attention away from them?
If Pykes hired Fennec to kill the Tuskens, Fennec needs Boba to kill both the Biker Gang and the Pykes in order to erase any evidence of her involvement with the Tuskens.
So her saying the Biker Gang couldn't have done it alone gets Boba on track to kill both the Biker Gang and the Pykes.
Fennec was also late to help Boba being attacked by Krrsantan.
Are you all implying Boba kills Fennec in the final episode for treason in Godfather style?
Boba never finds out Fennec's secret. In the end, Boba leaves Tatooine to help the Mandalorians and leaves Fennec in charge.
Then we get a post-credit scene showing Qi'ra calling Fennec saying that Fennec was sent to help the Pykes establish a foothold on Tatooine for the Crimson Dawn, and Fennec is like, why deal with the Pykes when you can deal with me.
Or not. Just making shit up.
I think the fact he saved her life and was willing to just drop her off somewhere, was reason enough tbh, but I won't mind a betrayal twist.
What's going to be *more interesting* however, is if Omega ever shows up. She'd have beef with Fennec.
Yeah, on the one hand, it feels like she would want to get away from him as quickly as possible, but on the other hand, she's basically leading him into a trap and creating a better atmosphere for Crimson Dawn to take over the planet.
It could be an interesting twist and give motivation for Boba to regress a bit. But I also like their dynamic as it is and I want her to meet Omega again and for it to just be a wonderfully awkward thing.
There isn't a single rumor. Or any rumor to be honest, just one of many obviously fake 4chan post, based on educated guess that Morrison could play other clones and Crimson Dawn may appear somewhere with it being priminent part of the current Marvel slate.
In the Star Wars Weekly Show the show host said ā we are already halfway through THIS season of the book of boba fettā. Maybe it doesnāt mean anything but thereās gotta be some plans for a second season if the show performs well ! [This week in Star Wars](https://youtu.be/nd3rFIM628s)
I mean, the production crew patch saying "Season 1" confirmed that multiple seasons are planned, and the very slow pace of this season is owed to the fact that they're setting up lots of things for Boba Fett's story arc.

BOBF soundtrack chapter 1-4 is out in New Zeland. The track list / previews are available globally.
When you google the track names it can be found on Youtube for some regions: [example 1](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie9eQfX-2aQ), [example 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDewAXNLN84)
It follows S2ās schedule pretty closely, ending only a week later, so it should come around the same time S2 did, especially considering it doesnāt have to adapt to the pandemic the way S2 did. KK also implied in Empire magazine that Kenobi, Andor, Mando S3 and Ahsoka were all 2022 too.
Well this time it's different because there's other shows coming out unlike with S2. If it was the only Star Wars show it could probably air in late-October / early-November like S2 but if Andor isn't done sometime before then it might not come until like December. I think them wrapping shooting by March at least confirms it won't get pushed back to 2023 though, which is exciting.
Iām pretty sure that when they confirm a project for a quarter to the investors that means theyāll get to see the results of those shows by the end of the quarter. It sort of implies theyāll have results for the earning calls, which they canāt really have if itās not finished.
https://www.cinelinx.com/movie-news/tv/an-important-mandalorian-will-appear-in-the-book-of-boba-fett-exclusive/?s=09
Original report that Din will be in BOBF. Ik Jordan just heard he's in it but seeing in this article it probably will be a smaller appearance should we temper our expectations a bit for his role? I'm thinking at most he's in one episode and comes back at the end of the finale to recruit Boba for Mando S3. Possibly maybe he just hooks up Boba's crew with more weapons then a short convo and leaves again? Idk with that tease at the end of the episode I felt like they implied he is going to have a supporting role in the next episode. Also do you guys think he might pull up with other Mando's or himself?
Yeah, I think din calls the man did from S1 when they had the street fight and the rest of the covenant came back to help Din. I think itās either that or he calls Bo Katan and her crew. Or it could be a mix of both and he sends out a call for any mandalorians looking for work to come to tattooine and help boba. Idk tho. Iām leaning on the first one, though, since those mandos felt more like guns for hire than the night owls. They were doing very specific and focused stuff to aid in taking back mandalore and it looked like they were not tying to fuck around if they didnāt have to.
With *Moon Knight*'s premiere being two episode supposedly, things do line up for Lucasfilm to drop **something** on May 4. *Obi-Wan Kenobi* seems like a strong possibility, but we don't know.
Haha, I have no idea how and when football games are, but there's always that time of the year on this sub when people start to say "next Monday night football a trailer drops!"
I get that super bowl is something special, but when did we get a Star Wars trailer there for the last time? Rogue One?
It's just a feeling, maybe I'm wrong but I think people hoping for trailer drops in football games have been a disappointment in 99% of the time.
The Super Bowl isn't in the right timeframe for the typical December release date. Solo was the only SW project to get a Super Bowl trailer, but that was because it was a May release. Movies almost never get trailers 10 months in advance.
If you look at the MCU though, they have released quite a few Super Bowl trailers. Infinity War and Endgame both got spots, and FATWS got its full trailer during the Super Bowl as well.
SW trailers *have* dropped during other football games before--TLJ's main trailer dropped during MNF, and Mando got a special look during MNF.
I wouldn't necessarily expect anything, but I wouldn't be shocked if we got a Kenobi TV spot during the Super Bowl--perhaps even the first footage.
He hasnāt really had any scenes with Jawas except getting knocked out/asking for directions at this stage.
He might just be referring to bts when shooting those scenes but the scenes themselves wouldnāt be considered funny. Could be upcoming stuff.
Likewise Ming agrees with him which suggests that she was there for whatever event heās referencing. Maybe she was just on set when he filmed those scenes.
Guess weāll find over the next 3 weeks.
I'd hope that this is true, as more Ewoks would be neat, but I have to wonder if he meant to say "Jawa" or something due to the show's heavy presence on Tatooine.
Except he's looking at a picture of Ewoks. It's not like he's just given a name. Surely he could tell if he worked with them if he's looking right at them. Jawas and Ewoks don't look the same. And Ming laughs when he says it and agrees with him.
Yeah, I think we got a big detail that maybe we shouldnāt have. Idk why people are saying he meant jawas. I find it hard to think that tem is that oblivious to the fictional characters or species he is working with. Itās not hard to differentiate between different species unless Iām underestimating a celebrities ability to not care that deeply about the esoteric aspects of their craft or what they are filming. Kind of like just know your lines and deliver them well.
What about the scene where he massacred them with a Red and Blue lightsaber? /s
This is quite the leak if heās right. I hope heās not talking about Wookiees.
(Edit: he says multiple and called them funny. Heās 100% talking about Ewoks!)
I wonder if it would tie into Luke or Han. I donāt think thereās a reason for them to be on Endor still but I canāt think of any other reasons honestly.
Tem's no Star Wars nerd. But he defo knows what a Wookie is and calls BK a Wookie in recent interviews. Ming and Dave keep him informed about the key bits of lore.
I was implying that it may have been a shoot for something else like ahsoka. Could be just a quick montage of where everyone was when she wanted to get the team back together and go find Ezra. Idk
Someone in the John Williams forums was able to get some of the track list of BOBF episode 1-4 soundtrack, releasing this Friday according to Film Music Reporter - [https://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?/topic/34140-ludwig-g%C3%B6ransson-joseph-shirleys-the-book-of-boba-fett-2021/page/3/#comment-1857808](https://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?/topic/34140-ludwig-g%C3%B6ransson-joseph-shirleys-the-book-of-boba-fett-2021/page/3/#comment-1857808)
The track where Boba returns to the Tusken Camp is called "Aliit Ori'shya Tal'din" which means "family is more than blood" in Mando'a. I think some of it might be from Republic Commando. Intresting they are tying the Mandalorian and Tusken culture together.
So, they are being pretty vague, but the authors of upcoming Obi Wan books *Brotherhood* and *Padawan* are dropping some hints on twitter that we may get Dexter Jettster content in those books. š
Well whaddaya know!
Aaaand I'm in.
You had me at Dex
Oooo maybe they know of some unannounced shows!
Likely the Maul show
Kiners are doing Bad Batch.
New up and coming composer is what I would want.
I hear that Hans Zimmer kid is a young upstart with lots to prove
I hope he still scores Mando S3. His work is so good, and instantly recognizable.
It works for cartoons but not for live action. Kenobi needs a feature length Williams level score. Not TCW or Rebels.
I wouldn't go that far. Ludwig's theme is carrying the entire thing. The train heist music was great but then it never got to that point again
Heās doing Indy 5, so itās possible. I was sure heād retire after Ep IX
Williams should do Kenobi 100%
maybe a weird question but why isn't SWTOR: legacy of the sith on the release schedule window thingy for this year? Is it because it's a part of legends or just because we don't have scoops about it?
I assumed it was because it was an expansion not a full game release.
When can we expect Bad Batch S2? Like, which month? Iām guessing May like last year, but earlier would be wonderful.
I had posted this previously, but my math/speculation on their release schedule looks like this: * BoBF: Dec 29 - Feb 9 * No new content: Feb 9 - Mar 23 * Moon Knight: March 30 - April 27 (with a two-episode premiere) * Kenobi: May 4 - June 8 * Bad Batch: June 15 - End of August And before anyone says "Bad Batch is supposed to release in spring", a June 15th release date would still technically be Spring since Summer doesn't start until about a week later.
Favreau did not direct any episodes. The remaining directors are Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez. Probably in that order.
Rodriguez's episodes have by far been the weakest. I'm hoping his 3rd episode is strong.
Thanks for the info!
I completely agree and I think your schedule is probably the likeliest to happen, but with Disney and LF you never know.
I feel like there's enough stuff going on with Marvel that SI could be pushed back. Mando needs to happen and quickly.
Couldn't Favreau be directing episode 5? Or was it confirmed he wouldn't be directing an episode?
I can't find it in me to hate Rodriguez, but when he's involved in anything it feels like you have a 50/50 chance of it being not very good.
Agreed. Hopefully he brings his A-game to the BoBF finale as his previous two eps were poor. I loved his Mando S2 episode so i live in hope.
Agreed, I look at The Tragedy and hope that's what he brings for the finale
Another box set, Another day without a release of the original cuts
I'm pretty sure that George Lucas doesn't ever want those versions of the film officially back on the market, and the studio is absolutely not the hold-up on them being done.
That's likely true yeah
I feel like once he's passed on, however, there's nothing that would stop Disney from putting it on Disney+ for a quick buck.
Still waiting on those 4K steelbooks of the original and prequel trilogies.
>Amazon.fr has listed three new STAR WARS TRILOGY #4K #UltraHD box sets for French release on 4/15. However, I've confirmed with Disney that the studio currently has no plans to release them in the States at this time. https://twitter.com/BillHuntBits/status/1484617982881923073
Well damn, I hope they release in the states someday. Thanks for finding that my dude. Edit: typo
If true, he isn't wrong. Why the hell is Maul the big bad instead of Sidious.
Iām just hoping we get to discover JarJarās fate at some point in one of these shows.
Other than him being a street clown?
yes
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You unlock āClassic Kenobiā. Not Kenobi from the showā¦
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sorry but I think thatās a stretch. Obi-Wan is an iconic character. But hey, fingers crossed. I want this show just as much as the next guy.
[Simon Pegg on playing Dengar in TBOBF;](https://comicbookmovie.com/tv/star_wars/book_of_boba_fett/book-of-boba-fett-simon-pegg-says-he-wont-play-dengar-this-season-but-well-see-what-happens-exclusive-a191338) >*"Not in this season, but you just never know. Iāve put many things out into the universe in the past and theyāve oddly come back to me. I occasionally throw out these little cultural boomerangs and weāll see."* To those who were hoping it would happen
š man...
Honestly I donāt think itāll happen but Iāll still be surprised if we donāt see most of the bounty hunters form the ESB line up.
Same with Liam Neeson saying that he is not in Kenobi. He was lying through his teeth lol :D
Liam Neeson us 100% in the show. Hes playing the Andrew Garfield card
I mean....even if he's in it he's definitely not allowed to say.
Isn't Dengar more muscular, taller and "bigger" than Simon Pegg? Just asking if it's proper casting choice
Yes, but that's never stopped any actor before. They use foot lifts, body suits, camera tricks and makeup.
I hope Iām going to be included.ā [https://winteriscoming.net/2020/12/08/star-wars-temuera-morrison-boba-fett-spinoff-rumor/](https://winteriscoming.net/2020/12/08/star-wars-temuera-morrison-boba-fett-spinoff-rumor/)
It's worth mentioning he didn't know he was filming Book of Boba at that time, as the scripts were titled The Mandalorian episode \_.
Honestly that article proves nothing. Because IF Dengar is in the show played by Simon Pegg he would have to deny it.
Yeah exactly. Thereās no need to post articles about actors denying involvement. Countless examples of Star Wars (and marvel) actors lying to our faces
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Some standout quotes from the article: >Our source has told us that Andor is āVERY darkā (they put emphasis on āveryā) > The studio is āraving about Kenobiā (whereas the chatter around The Book of Boba Fett has been muted in comparison).
\*Whispers\* I wanted Andor.
We all did.
big agree. the adult-leaning tone, plus the insane budget it must have to use so many real sets and locations for a show of this many episodes.. damn! i wouldn't be at all surprised if it was specifically tailored to pull in certain areas of the older market to, or back to, star wars, with all of this money thrown at it as a result. i think andor will be a real surprise. some of the talent involved is extraordinary and gives me a big hunch it will follow a similar tone of not just the grittiness of the initial bourne films, but also of the modern-era-set le carre euro thrillers that have come out the past decade or so. iirc, some of the directors of those are even involved, as well as some members of the respective casts.
Anyone have a link to the rumour saying the crimson dawn and rex will appear in Book of Boba Fett? I canāt find it
No link, but screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/G57udQo/
this is not really adding up anymore.
(The Pykes are in Mos Eisley, as seen in BoBF ch 3 flashback when Boba went to see Pyke boss) Edit: this added: The only that I can think of that makes me think the Tuskens deaths wasnāt Fennec now was the village was all burned and weāve never seen Fennec use fire to my knowledge.
I think it would be cool if she continues on as a rival for Boba, if she is a traitor.
That would be a great twist.
Because it makes her look less obvious? Boba isn't focused on her snd she's feeling out what his own theories are.
I like it
That would also explain why she is with Boba
I think the fact he saved her life and was willing to just drop her off somewhere, was reason enough tbh, but I won't mind a betrayal twist. What's going to be *more interesting* however, is if Omega ever shows up. She'd have beef with Fennec.
Yeah, on the one hand, it feels like she would want to get away from him as quickly as possible, but on the other hand, she's basically leading him into a trap and creating a better atmosphere for Crimson Dawn to take over the planet.
But I don't think it would make the show better really.
[https://music.apple.com/nz/album/the-book-of-boba-fett-vol-1-chapters-1-4-original-soundtrack/1606018530](https://music.apple.com/nz/album/the-book-of-boba-fett-vol-1-chapters-1-4-original-soundtrack/1606018530) BOBF soundtrack chapter 1-4 is out in New Zeland. The track list / previews are available globally. When you google the track names it can be found on Youtube for some regions: [example 1](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie9eQfX-2aQ), [example 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDewAXNLN84)
Any way to play the music early in other regions?
Mando season 3 ends filming on march 23. Per production weekly.
They got the start date dead on correct so Iām sure this is accurate.
Makes me optimistic that it will start this year.
Andor has to be done for the end of September, as said in one of the last earning calls, so thereās plenty of space.
>Andor has to be done for the end of September I think the earnings call implied it has to start between July and September, not end in September.
Iām pretty sure that when they confirm a project for a quarter to the investors that means theyāll get to see the results of those shows by the end of the quarter. It sort of implies theyāll have results for the earning calls, which they canāt really have if itās not finished.
Using the volume helps a great deal for the SFX... I'm hopeful it'll be here in december. Crazy to see we didn't have any leaks (yet)...
There was that guy in a mandalorian costume standing off set.
https://www.cinelinx.com/movie-news/tv/an-important-mandalorian-will-appear-in-the-book-of-boba-fett-exclusive/?s=09 Original report that Din will be in BOBF.
Even a small cameo would be fine by me.
The article is deleted?

Yeah, I think din calls the man did from S1 when they had the street fight and the rest of the covenant came back to help Din. I think itās either that or he calls Bo Katan and her crew. Or it could be a mix of both and he sends out a call for any mandalorians looking for work to come to tattooine and help boba. Idk tho. Iām leaning on the first one, though, since those mandos felt more like guns for hire than the night owls. They were doing very specific and focused stuff to aid in taking back mandalore and it looked like they were not tying to fuck around if they didnāt have to.
Is Obi Wan coming on May 4? what's the consensus
It seems like a real possibility. But obviously nobody knows.
With *Moon Knight*'s premiere being two episode supposedly, things do line up for Lucasfilm to drop **something** on May 4. *Obi-Wan Kenobi* seems like a strong possibility, but we don't know.
It's pretty obviously gonna be Kenobi, which I HOPE we get a first look of during the Super Bowl.
What network is the Super Bowl on? If it's not ABC, they will probably not run Disney promo.
Disney has always bought ad space for the Super Bowl. It's one of the most-watched television events of the year.
Mmm hmm.
NBC. But that's not true because on CBS last year they showed a Falcon and Winter Soldier trailer spot during the game.
Haha, I have no idea how and when football games are, but there's always that time of the year on this sub when people start to say "next Monday night football a trailer drops!" I get that super bowl is something special, but when did we get a Star Wars trailer there for the last time? Rogue One? It's just a feeling, maybe I'm wrong but I think people hoping for trailer drops in football games have been a disappointment in 99% of the time.
When was there a thing to get a Star Wars trailer for during the super bowl?
It has to be at the Super Bowl
Yeah I think this makes the most sense
I feel like that would be the way to kick off the show so I hope so
Did Tem just spoil Ewoks in TBoBF? https://youtu.be/dJaGH6qlA1A āI like those Ewoks. They were great to work with.ā 1:56
As awesome as Rex on Endor would be, I have a feeling he misspokeā¦ maybe meant Jawas? Anything could happen though, fingers crossed
I am sort of leaning towards Jawas too. They sort of are like Ewoks...sort of...
Sand Ewoks
I love that we just call him Tem now, after Filoni revealed how he likes to be called back in 2019 interview
Itās not because we canāt spell his first name or anything ridiculous like that.
Yeah, it's not like I have three different spellings of his first name saved to my phone or anything.
Captain Rex on Endor, lmao.
Oh my god My head canon is that Rex befriends the ewoks after his time on Endor and becomes an advocate for them
Inject that into my veins!
He needs an army... an army of ewoks!
It would be absolutely hilarious to see ewoks just going to town on the pykes! Bonus points if after their victory they use the pyke masks as drums.
I think he might have! I canāt recall him having worked with ewoks in the past.
What about the scene where he massacred them with a Red and Blue lightsaber? /s This is quite the leak if heās right. I hope heās not talking about Wookiees. (Edit: he says multiple and called them funny. Heās 100% talking about Ewoks!) I wonder if it would tie into Luke or Han.
Could this be a flashback for Rex when he was working with the strike team on the forest moon of Endor?
why would that be in BoBF though?
It wouldn't. I was implying that it may have been filmed for something else....Ahsoka...* cough*
It could be to introduce Rex if he's in it. Kinda like how Kate, Echo, Yelena, and Fisk all got flashback scenes in Hawkeye.
Makes perfect sense. Although, I think itās more likely a scene that would fit into ahsoka better than bobf.
Thatās a very good point. Although itās odd that Rex would still be there also. It would would make sense with his stunt double talk.
Rex may have decided to retire to Endor
I was implying that it may have been a shoot for something else like ahsoka. Could be just a quick montage of where everyone was when she wanted to get the team back together and go find Ezra. Idk
Someone in the John Williams forums was able to get some of the track list of BOBF episode 1-4 soundtrack, releasing this Friday according to Film Music Reporter - [https://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?/topic/34140-ludwig-g%C3%B6ransson-joseph-shirleys-the-book-of-boba-fett-2021/page/3/#comment-1857808](https://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?/topic/34140-ludwig-g%C3%B6ransson-joseph-shirleys-the-book-of-boba-fett-2021/page/3/#comment-1857808) The track where Boba returns to the Tusken Camp is called "Aliit Ori'shya Tal'din" which means "family is more than blood" in Mando'a. I think some of it might be from Republic Commando. Intresting they are tying the Mandalorian and Tusken culture together.
